I don't know if only LibreOffice does this or Word too, but I've seen somewhere macros being blocked because the file came from the internet.
If Word does that nowadays, then the risk is not so big.
It has nothing to do with macros unfortunately. They run commands using an instance of MSDT and instead of Troubleshooting they are Troublecreating... Network Chuck explained some things about this vulnerability if you wanna check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ytqP1QvhUc&t=116sThis is, according to Microsoft, the way you can disable MSDT URL protocol: 1. Run Command Prompt as Administrator.
2. To back up the registry key, execute the command “reg export HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ms-msdt filename“
3. Execute the command “reg delete HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ms-msdt /f”.

Should I disable it even though I do not have any Microsoft office/products installed? Also, on my desktop which was primarily used for academic purposes, I have tons of word documents created in MS word, am I already compromised?

This does not mean everyone who has office installed can be hacked in 2 seconds, luckily. You would need to download an infected .doc file and open it. Then you're screwed ! Try the registry fix mentioned by Ddmr 2 and as always... don't download random stuff from random sites or unknown emails ! |

The page simply uses the following assumptions/estimates:
1 INTOP = 2 FLOP
1 hash = 6.35K INTOP
1 hash = 12.7K FLOP
So the hashrate in TeraFLOP/s is simply 12.7 times the hashrate in Gigahashes/s.
As an example: 11,558.55 Gigahashs/s * 12.7 TeraFLOP/Gigahash = 146,794 TeraFLOP/s = 146 PetaFLOP/s
This is more of a guesstimation than a calculation. Even if they compare 11 yr old apples with 11yr old oranges I would say it's close enough for this discussion's sake...  |

Oricum, sunt prea multe "buzz words" pe acolo pentru gustul meu (nici nu-mi bat capul daca acele "chestii" chiar exista  ) Orice anunt sau whitepaper de altcoin e plin de buzzwords. Din ele mai mult pe GameFi inca e hype. Jocuri (cu sau fara NFT-uri) din care poti castiga tokeni doar jucand. Play to earn. Asta cu SocialFi s-a mai incercat... Steemit de exemplu. Din punctul meu de vedere a fost un fail sau inca e un fail, nu stiu sigur Aia cu Defi asincron e 100% buzzword ! Si protocolul BTC e asincron... nici nu stiu sigur daca vreo crypto moneda are la baza un proces ne-asincron. Din cate stiu asincron inseamna ca protocolul nu tine cont de eventuale erori ( block-uri invalide ) si ii da inainte, prioritand consensul. Daca nu era asa se cam bloca. In fine... ideea e ca toate (din cate stiu) sunt asincroane sau macar semi asincroane. The easiest way I see would be the option to quote selected text. But not so sure it would/could/should be added on the current SMF version. Might work with a userscript or something but you would need to give the script access to your session key. So definitely not the safest option ... |

Daca imi amintesc bine bc1 e prefixul, iar q inseamna e (intr-un fel) versiunea 1 (sau 0) de bech32; deja exista si versiunea urmatoare, bc1p, care, printre altele, "stie" de taproot.

De curand am citit despre problema unui utilizator Binance care a vrut sa retraga pe o adresa bc1 p, iar Binance cum nu suporta (cel putin la momentul acela) adrese taproot a trimis BTC catre varianta bc1 q. Au schimbat ei o litera in adresa omului ca asa a vrut sistemul... si practic, dupa cum confirma si Pieter Wuille prin raspunsuri, au dat burn la monede in felul asta.  |

O chestie interesanta este ca TwisPay este (si) procesator de plata.

This was a tough one for me I admit, do you plan to release further challenges anytime soon?
To be honest I was a little bummed that there was no interest in the last one and kind of let it go for the moment... Either way there are so many ways you can encode stuff and running dry on ideas. Will think about it and see if I can come up with a few more Anyone else is invited to chip in with a suggestion or an interesting question ! P.S. You also solved 2 of them so I might incline to add an extra rule about how many times you would be allowed to participate. Well done though |
