I have just sent an URGENT MESSAGE to Alan Booth, CEO, Cryptopia, urging him to “treat this serious matter with great urgency and advise me accordingly”. It is becoming both puzzling and troubling.
I will promptly post any response received. Your continued patience and understanding is greatly appreciated as we seek to sort this out.
This long and drawn out situation with Cryptopia displays their complete lack of professionalism, which they have also signalled historically through their lackluster customer service. Cryptopia has been selling unregistered securities to Canadian and American investors (countries where we have laws against this), which they are now scrambling frantically to delist before regulators inspect their operation with a fine tooth comb. In my own personal opinion we shouldn't be too upset if we aren't listed on Cryptopia, they will be lucky if they make it through the cryptocurrency fraud crackdown without being thrown in the clinker. The market on NLexch.com seems to be heating up a bit thanks to Wiser & co. DNotes is the only Proof of Stake coin on the exchange, the rest being Proof of Work. I see this being a good opportunity for us in the long run. Cryptopia list all the same tokens that you get at all the other exchanges. New Zealand has similar laws, likely stricter than those in the USA -- there is debate whether tokens come under the financial products act in NZ or not, but the definition of security in New Zealand is a lot broader than the USA (I don't know about Canada). Cryptopia also publicly claim to have a dialogue open with the New Zealand regulators. Overall, I'd say their decision to know more about the coins they list, and having a stricter review process should be welcome. It just seems at this time DNotes is experiencing the brunt of delays the processes have caused. Hopefully it will all be cleared up soon! There is no unified securities regulator in Canada, so to sell here you must abide by the regulations in each province of operation. Not only that, barring any exemptions, you must register with each individual province as well. I don't condone other exchanges illegally dealing in securities, it gives the whole industry a bad reputation. Exposure to the wrong exchanges in the past has hindered forward progression toward DNotes' goal of being the global digital currency, most notably Cryptsy and Mintpal. It would be unwise to continue repeating past mistakes while expecting better results. It's great that Cryptopia says they are now starting to put their listings under legal scrutiny, but DNotes should be the least of their worries. Brandon, I understand the frustration and disappointment. We are in an industry that clearly operates under different standards and values. From our experience in dealing with different exchanges, Cryptopia is still the most professional and responsive. To be realistic, that is my only yardstick. I am hopeful that DNotes will become sufficiently influential to help change that culture one day. I suspect that the legal review process is with the N.Z regulators, and as such beyond the control of Cryptopia's management. |

I have been advised that DNotes listing on Cryptopia is still under legal review. The process seems to be more complex and time consuming than anticipated. Hopefully, they will reach a conclusion by early next week.
Their prompt response at the highest level is greatly appreciated. From our experience they have been the most professional and responsive. That is quite rare in our industry.

The DNotes market report for Thursday, May 24, 2018 Since CoinMarketcap does not recognize any active DNotes markets, and our only market right now is NLexch (not recognized by CMC), I am reporting what's going on with that market once a day so that we can all be apprised of the current market price for DNotes. I'm also participating as a buyer trying to accumulate more DNotes with minimal impact on the market. My strategy is to place limit buy orders and only buy the sell side when I see an order that is significantly lower than the next ask price until the gap between bid and ask closes. Today wasn't too exciting, other than right before writing this I bought 1000 DNotes for 375 Satoshi. It was a limit sell order that was significantly lower than the next ask of 450 Satoshi. This puts today's last price at $0.028578. The current highest bid is 350 and lowest ask is 450. The 24 hour volume is 1020.85 NOTE. I notice we have some good buy depth going all the way down to 275 Satoshi. Most of that is not mine. I'm actually almost out of BTC on the exchange, but hope to put some more in tomorrow or the day after. Wiser, thank you for your amazing dedication and support. It is greatly appreciated. |

It is good to educate crypto investors, using Howeycoin fake ICO. Nice works from both SEC and forum admin.  I am not in favor of burdensome regulations that stifle innovation. What do I think about Dnotes after four years? “My opinion is” Fact: 1) Just because you can’t see a warrior(Dnotes) in the bushes, doesn’t mean that one is not going to strike the cattle (other crypto currencies) that are in the fields grazing all the green off the pastures. Times are changing and Dnotes will strike when the time is right. Fact 2: reread fact one and absorb NOTE: This is not be the proper analogy being that Dnotes wants to work with everyone not against Thank you mrbum805. Great leadership is not about flexing muscles and telling others about their “golden rule” (he who holds the gold make the rule). Unfortunately, we are seeing plenty of that in our industry. If you are wondering what is causing another down day in our industry, Cryptosweep may be the industry “broom sweep” clean project causing it. We have consistently warned about the risk of ICOs and urged extreme caution and the need for due diligence before investing. US and Canadian Securities Regulators Coordinate ICO Probe in ‘Operation Cryptosweep’US and Canadian state and provincial securities regulators have opened probes into potentially fraudulent crypto investment programs in what has been dubbed “Operation Cryptosweep”, according to a press release May 21. The latest crackdown on suspicious crypto investment products is reportedly the largest such coordinated investigation by state and provincial officials. Regulators from across 40 jurisdictions coordinated by the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) have initiated up to 70 investigations, with more to come in the following weeks. Securities regulators have reportedly warned as many as 35 companies about violations of state securities laws with some cases resulting in cease-and-desist actions. NASAA, which released a warning for Main Street investors regarding the risks associated with crypto and ICOs early this year, said the probe is focusing on suspicious cases of initial coin offerings (ICOs). According to the Washington Post, investigators discovered about 30,000 crypto-related domain names in recent weeks, most of which were registered last year when the Bitcoin (BTC) price reached its all-time-high of around $20,000. Alleged scams have reportedly used fake addresses, flashy marketing materials, and guarantees of up to a 4 percent daily interest rate, while failing to report the potential risks of crypto-investments. Some fraudulent ICOs even used fake celebrity photos to endorse their product. The president of NASAA Joseph Borg stated that regulators do their best to stay one step ahead of potential security violations, noting that not every ICO or cryptocurrency investment is fraudulent. "We’re putting ourselves in the shoes of investors. We’re seeing what’s being promoted to investors. And then we’re taking the next step and then we’re finding out whether they’re complying with securities laws." Founded in 1919, the NASAA is an association of state and provincial-level securities regulators in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Through the association, state securities regulators can coordinate and take part in “multi-state enforcement actions,” as well as share information. It’s interesting for me to recall why I decided to give up the most precious years of my retirement to join this industry over four years ago. As a part of my research, I visited many forums and was astonished by the level of hostility and destructive conduct. I was intrigued by the concept of decentralized entities, being trustless and leaderless. Then I came to realize that those were precisely why our industry has been so chaotic and destructive – no leader; no rules – the wild west, which still hold true today. My mission was to help provide some leadership, especially, to DNotes, but hopefully to our industry as well. I am grateful that we are seeing some positive impact and continuing to gain respect and followings. The credit should go to all of you for supporting our cause in building DNotes as the trusted inclusive digital currency to the benefit of everyone worldwide. Congratulations! A common mistake lots of people make, whether successful or not, is to assume they already know everything there is to know about something. That can be a tough mental habit to break. For me, getting involved in the cryptocurrency industry early on (nearly an entire year before you, Alan) helped a lot. Since it was such a new industry there was no way for me to have any sort of expectation of knowing everything, so I was very eager to learn. Now that I know a bit more about it, it helps me in other areas to be OK with not already knowing and therefore, listening and learning from someone else. Certainly, you are my senior when it comes to years of experience in the crypto space. I respect you for that, wiser. We are very fortunate to have your support. |

The DNotes market report for Sunday, May 20, 2018
Since CoinMarketcap does not recognize any active DNotes markets, and our only market right now is NLexch (not recognized by CMC), I am reporting what's going on with that market once a day so that we can all be apprised of the current market price for DNotes.
Yesterday, my buy wall at 70 satoshis got piled on, so I incrementally increased it until I've been at the top for several hours at 105 Satoshi. During that time, 2 DNotes were purchased for 650 Satoshi, which was the lowest ask at the time.
A few hours ago, someone offered 3333.33333 DNotes for sale at 300 Satoshi. I decided that was too good a deal to pass up so I bought it all. This puts the last price of DNotes at $0.025595. The highest bid price is still 105 Satoshi and the lowest ask price is 600 Satoshi--just dropped from 650 Satoshi. The 24 hour volume is 3335.33333333 NOTE.
That's the DNotes market report for today. I'll update again tomorrow.
Wiser, thank you for your amazing work. It is deeply appreciated. You're welcome. It's actually benefiting me a lot. I'm snagging some cheap DNotes, but also I'm learning more deeply about how markets work, because with NLexch being such low volume, it's like everything is working in slow motion, so I have a chance to think about what's going on and a few hours to figure out how I might respond to it (or not respond to it). I know that when Cryptopia finally lists DNotes 2.0 everything will happen a lot faster, and I suspect that the price will surge upwards and that will be the end of the opportunity to snag them cheap. Excellent. We can never learn it all. I am all for learning as much as I can. DNotes will not remain "cheap" for long. I believe that it will become "fairly valued" relative to our industry peers in the coming months. Based on everything that we have accomplished, and other projects that we are working on it is reasonable for me to conclude that DNotes should be among the lower tier of Coinmarket cap top 100. This is my personal opinion and not an investment recommendation. Everyone should do their own due diligence and decide for themselves. |

I'm sure that they will have some good news this time Since they have started to list the coins again I think that at worst we should expect some slight delay I believe that you are correct. In all fairness, they have been responsive, except the last one, irrespective of the news. There are no known reasons for further delay once their legal review on DNotes is completed. This should be very soon. |

We are still anxiously waiting for a status update from Cryptopia regarding DNotes listing.
I have just sent a friendly reminder to their CEO, Alan Booth, suggesting that, “I would appreciate it very much if you could kindly investigate our case and advise me of our status”. Mr. Booth is one of my LinkedIn connections since April 4th, 2018.
As soon as I hear from them our community will be updated accordingly.
