I feel like it is exactly similar to learning anything else. You learn the cards, you learn what is better than the other thing, you learn the odds, you learn basically whatever people teach you, like for poker, there are poker courses and it teaches all you need to know, there are beginner level classes at first, but then you can do advance as well if you want to.
There is nothing humans cannot learn which was invented by another human. It's all about the seriousness and interest. I did not bother to learn card games or take them too seriously because I don't live with friends. I meet them once in a while. My family members don't like card games because they believe I can start gambling. Well, They don't know I can gamble on the Internet. This is not the main reason. I didn't take it that seriously because all my friends lived in different cities because of their Jobs. So, I didn't find enough time to spend with them so I could enjoy and learn.

For Gambling, I can choose other games as well. There are a bunch of popular games that I can try without actually knowing how it works. I remember I started playing slots without knowing how it pays.

Being a Cricket Fan and reading Sportsbet thread discussions is like a sad life. Betting in a casino I like and discussing the bet and the match in another thread is frustrating. I feel like I don't enjoy it at all. Sometimes it reminds me of my friends. My Whole Friend circle loves Card games, and I don't know how to play card games. I tried to learn, but I gave up. So, whenever we meet, they start playing cards, and I scroll my social media. It's the same here. I bet on cricket games at Sportsbet and feel alone here.

I don't know why, but I could not access Sportsbet for a while. VPN worked fine, but I don't want to use VPN to access Sportsbet. My Internet Service Provider said they did not block Sportsbet. I am not sure if the government is doing something to block famous casinos.

Snip

Thanks for the detailed explanation. However, you had a choice not to respond if you wanted to. All point makes sense to me. I also noticed that OP aggressively shows anger when someone doesn't support him. I also criticized OP for being rude to SirJohnVonSlotty.

@GekkeBelg, Indeed, I am seeing some anger from you towards SirJohnVonSlotty. His post makes sense, and he did not guarantee that 100% of those happened. He clearly said
Quote
I'm not defending Coinplay, in my eyes this ended up as a good lesson for both sides.... ....What I'm trying to do though is figure out for my self what actually happened here, and it seems there's more to it....

@GekkeBelg, I don't see any point in talking like this, which makes you look guilty of doing something wrong.

It's not a secret I'm from the Netherlands, but I think you missed my point: making fun of Belgians is an ancient thing here (we say they're dumb, they say we're cheap).
I didn't know you were Dutch. I thought you were from Switzerland, as once you responded to me and said you were allegedly Swiss! About making fun, I am not Dutch, and I am not here for long enough. So, I am unaware of this thing.
184  Other / Meta / Re: Restrict newbies from posting in the lending board? on: May 07, 2023, 11:36:52 AM
I like Zilon's suggestion, but yeah, the mods are up to their elbows already, I don't think asking to pile on any more reports is the right way to handle it.
I respect your opinion. But I am sorry. I did not like it.  Smiley. Mods can't be online 24/7 and look into the lending board. They have to check all boards equally. I always wondered how Mods always check two posts in a row from the same user and merge them. Do they have any panel where the system automatically filters those posts? If not, they are doing hard work already. This single task needs a lot of time to complete it.

Quote
There have been a few over the years that I've been here and active in the lending board. Most have tapered off their activity, but there is one recent newbie lender who's currently active. To me it looks like he's harvesting other people's KYC docs, but the jury is still out on that one.
That's great. I did not know that. I never wanted to take a loan from lending boards (Sometimes, I doubt lenders may reject my applications because I didn't make my name yet, and it would look not good to me). So, I don't know if newbies offer loans these days. But if some newbies do it, it's an exceptional course. If a newbie exclusively uses this forum for his service, He could buy a copper member and do his business. I still stand with my support. Newbies should be banned from the lending board.

Incorrect.

I was the third or fourth person to mark the trust feedback pages on each occasion.

Please, Get your facts straight instead of being an echo chamber.

I wrote what I saw. I did not check everyone's trust page. I have checked your trust page and noticed you had left feedback to newbies asking for no collateral loan. I am not arguing whether it's the correct or incorrect use of feedback.

It is not an address on the Bitcoin network, but rather an address on the Whirlwind platform.
Thanks for the explanation. Once again, How is an average Joe supposed to know who is new to mixing and wants to mix their coins? The I Button says You can share this public address with other users to receive payments. Don't you think it will be better to write a warning there, like do not send your Bitcoin to this address? However, the address is invalid, and I guess people won't be able to send Bitcoin to this address.

Quote
They should be sending coins via the Whirlwind website (not via a bitcoin wallet) to the address which starts with "ww".

Again, A random user from a Google search doesn't know how this Note system works. There is no guide on the website. Also, Their FAQ Still says this; Check the image, please.

The user will be confused if he sees there are two answers for the Note Feature. But, We know the first note system is not there anymore. The Next Question in F.A.Q is How to create a Note to receive Bitcoin from other people? It would be good if you write How to create a Note to receive Bitcoin from another user of Whirlwind?. Other People and Users are different.

Edited Out
As You said, These are Legacy Bitcoin addresses. I searched my address on Blockchain, and it seems it is valid. For testing purposes, I've sent a few Satoshis. I am not sure if it has anything to do with Whirlwind. I am curious if it's reached whirlwind. Since it's a small amount and doesn't meet the minimum deposit requirement, It won't appear in my balance. But I am curious if Whirlwind received the transaction.  https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/12xmfzikTonuQc3iw7Xezvd9qwHibxryRj
186  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay CONFISCATING 291mbtc of fair NBA winnings on: May 06, 2023, 08:22:25 AM
To be fair, it wasn't BitcoinGirl.Club that mentioned OP being Dutch. It was me after seeing the latest screenshot they posted that had both German and Dutch text.

I know it was you. But I asked BitcoinGirl because she withdrew the support. After all, she thinks the whole story was not said. I wanted to hear more from her because I trusted her judgment. In my opinion, whether OP is German or Dutch, or he is Dutch but lives in Germany, is not matter here anymore. Because CoinPlay did not trigger, KYC and OP did not verify or submit KYC. So, this is irrelevant to share where he is from.

I'll type/quote the email here:
Quote from: Antillephone in their email to OP
"It appears that you have been flagged and that there have been various accounts registered by you or those pertaining to your household. This is against Terms and Conditions, namely, clause 6.1. It is noteworthy that both accounts were accessed using the same IP address AND devices!"
I'm curious how Antillephone got this information: is this what the casino told them, or have they independently verified this? And if so: how?
There is no one from Antillephone. So, I guess the question will remain unanswered. You ask via email if you want to.

Quote
So I assumed he was from Belgium, but making fun of them is something we Dutchies do, so being Dutch makes sense too.
Huh? We? Does this Include you? Have you ever disclosed this before in this forum?
187  Other / Meta / Re: Restrict newbies from posting in the lending board? on: May 06, 2023, 07:58:21 AM
Instead of completely restricting newbies from posting in the lending sub board, their posts containing loan request should be deleted instead that is users can report newbies requesting loans to the board mod and the mod deletes that posts.
It's not possible for Mods to keep tracking a user and check how many times he created a thread or posted on a specific topic and asked for a loan. Also, It's not possible for Mods to respond quickly or instantly to delete such posts. It will increase their workload. Moreover, It's nothing compared to bounty boards. But, the community members care about this section because it is a severe section where people look for urgent money, which sometimes helps them survive. Trolls in such sections will ruin it.

Quote
The restriction might come if the user keep making such posts. My reason is so that if a newbie has any valid contribution to make in the lending sub board their rank shouldn't be a hinderance.
Have you ever seen a newbie Lender offer loans to others? I always see newbie accounts ask for loans without any forum history. They do not intend to return the amount if they get the loan. They will lose nothing if they don't repay the loan amount. Also, It's not possible to catch them if someone runs away with crypto money. If a newbie has a valid contribution, earning ten merits for his contribution is not very hard.

Blackjack do also has a lower house edge than the rest of the games while I don't know if how much is the house edge on poker but if you are a skillful poker player, you have a good chance of beating the house. These two games are still best if played in offline especially poker because there are methods in poker which only works IRL. Hunting high multiplier and hunting for the jackpot are seem close enough.
I don't play card-related games because I don't understand how they work. But I remember I tried to learn how to play card-related games with my friends, and I ended up learning a little. But that was a long ago, and I don't remember what I've learned. Whenever our friend circle meets on any occasion, they don't miss the chance to play card games. Unfortunately, I cannot join them because I don't know how to play. So, I end up scrolling social media while they play.

Quote
As for me, I only play slots when I want to chill but if I want to be serious and possibly want to earn a profit, I will play strategic games like black jack and poker. Blaming casino for your own loss is too funny but may be some will believe on it if the casino is guilty that there are manipulations that happened.
Mainly, I play Dice, Mines and Roulette when I play seriously and look to make some profit from gambling. But I do the same when I want fun. Yes, I play slot games as well. I believe most gamblers play slots when they want to chill out. Sometimes I find Pragmatic slots addictive and can't stop buying bonuses. I like a few games from Pragmatic Play. Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus is an addictive game for me.

I am moving the discussion from the Signature Campaign thread to this thread since it's more relevant here. Responding to your previous post here.

The Note Public Address is in fact the Legacy Bitcoin address corresponding to the private key you saved, the only difference is that every '1' is changed to 'ww' so again, you can easily distinguish a Whirlwind Note from a Bitcoin address.

Example:
ww-L4xK361wZYYxJg7vSwXgDTVBVXY4JfgYrUU5QZic2nNB9PUbMzbt - Note Private Key
ww8Sf8x3GBUiTxg55RQEzynf2Cdyy7F1ihh - Note Public Address

L4xK361wZYYxJg7vSwXgDTVBVXY4JfgYrUU5QZic2nNB9PUbMzbt - Bitcoin Private Key
18Sf8x3GBUiTxg55RQEzynf2Cdyy7F1ihh - Legacy Bitcoin address

Okay. This increased my confusion further. Let's say I am not a Bitcointalk user, and I am not a signature participant too. I am an average Joe from a Google search and want to mix my Bitcoin. How do I suppose to know that I have to replace that ww with 1? I mean, I did not find any explanation or any instruction regarding the address. I never saw a Bitcoin Address Start with ww, so I asked in the signature campaign thread.

ww2xmfzikTonuQc3iw7Xezvd9qwHibxryRj This is the Note Public address I got from my note, and the description/ I button says You can share this public address with other users to receive payments. What if someone sends their Bitcoin to this address without replacing the ww with a 1? I know some wallets will give a warning that it's an incorrect Bitcoin address, just like my Electrum wallet did, but my question is still the same how is an average Joe supposed to know that this is a Legacy address and he has to send his Bitcoin to 12xmfzikTonuQc3iw7Xezvd9qwHibxryRj and not to ww2xmfzikTonuQc3iw7Xezvd9qwHibxryRj.

190  Other / Meta / Re: Restrict newbies from posting in the lending board? on: May 05, 2023, 12:34:12 PM
Probably would just be easier to

1) Leave them some negative feedback and encourage others to do the same.
2) Start a flag and encourage others to support it.
3) Add them to your ignore list
4) ~ in your trust list.

This is not a permanent solution. They don't care about those newbie accounts with no forum history. Creating another account and continuing their actions like bounty participants is easy. They Don't have to pay evil fees until they get banned, and their IP gets some evil points. Since asking for a loan in the lending section doesn't violate forum rules, they don't have any chance of getting banned. I noticed some newbies got negative feedback because they requested a loan. I cannot remember who tagged them. Oh, I just found it was Timelord2067 who tagged some newbies for asking for no collateral loans.

For Instance, It looks like this is not the correct use of the feedback system. But I understand his frustration. I don't visit the lending board. So, I am unaware of how many cases you guys have seen. You might be frustrated if you are regular there and see such newbies ask for no collateral loans every day.

191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I may sound really stupid right now, but it's what I noticed on: May 05, 2023, 08:29:52 AM
When the bitcoin price is lower than the purchase price, we just have to wait for the next price increase.
This applies when you take Bitcoin as a short Investment plan and want to quit the market after making a profit. I am not saying that I don't consider it an investment. But, I'd instead consider it savings where I care less about the market price. Because I believe Bitcoin will gain massive ROI in the long run. If Bitcoin gives me a good return in the future, I will be happy to take it. But I won't be sad If Bitcoin doesn't give me a good profit Because, as I said before, I'd instead consider it a savings wallet.

Quote
There is no defeat in bitcoin investment, if they know the best way and know what to do when bitcoin experiences a severe correction.
This applies when you want to hold it for a long time. Bitcoin will continue to replace its ATH in the long run. No matter what your buying price is. You must be patient and hold tight until you see another ATH or a higher price than your buying price. I lost a lot in Bitcoin in the last couple of years, making mistakes that a newbie does. But I learned a lot since then.

You are creating doubt in mind, I am sorry I removed my support from the flag you created. It looks to me the whole story was not said completely. It does not surprise me though. There are many cases where many of us were bluffed by abusive gamblers like you. They see this place is a good chance for clearing their abuse.

BitcoinGirl.Club, I am sorry, but I am asking why you think the whole story was not said. CoinPlay did not trigger KYC to GekkeBelg, and he did not have to do anything with the KYC and its related things like where he is from or similar info. Since he wasn't triggered for KYC, Sharing where he is from and where he is living is irrelevant. I feel like it was unnecessary to share those details. Everyone has their opinion, and I respect your opinion as well. But I am asking you because I Trust only three users' Judgments, and you are one of them. Do you see anything suspicious here? Help me figure out what makes you think the player is abusive and why the whole story was not said.

193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of crypto influencers. on: May 05, 2023, 06:09:59 AM
Crypto influencers exist to make money and unfortunately there will again be lots of opportunities for them again in the next bull market.

Why not? It's an easy way to make money, Right? It's freaking easy to be a crypto influencer. You don't have to research before you say something to your audience. You grab news from a news website and cover the same thing without verifying anything. Everyone wants to be a crypto influencer these days. Who wants to miss easy money? You can easily use your followers to earn vast amounts of money. Their followers follow whatever they say, and that's why hackers hack those influencers' Twitter accounts and make posts like Send me 1 Bitcoin, and you will get 2 Bitcoin in an hour. These things worked for hackers multiple times.

People are getting smarter. But, every day, new people come into Bitcoin/Crypto market, and they don't know where to start. The first thing they do is follow those Crypto Influencers on social media and begin to hear what they say. Those influencers' posts are like "Top five coins that will be 100x in next bull run".
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I won £50 - should I use it to buy Bitcoin? on: May 04, 2023, 08:27:04 AM
Now what should I do with the money? I could use it to buy more bonds, as the minimum purchase amount is only £25. Alternatively I could buy a few Satoshi, as I believe that we will see a sharp rise in the price of Bitcoin later this year, or perhaps early next year. The million pound prize is tempting, but so is the doubling or tripling of the Bitcoin price.
Hi, Jet Cash. If I am not wrong, You will be 81 on June 20. Keep that Cash for yourself and buy a good thing for yourself on your Birthday. Life is too short. You don't have to invest or save everything you win or earn. Sometimes we make and gather many things but cannot enjoy them. We don't have enough time to enjoy our life. We spend the most time on earning and savings for the future. But where is the future? What is the future? If you are old enough. Suppose you are over 70's. Enjoy every day. Don't overthink.

As You said many times, You are a Bitcoin Maximalist, and I believe you already hold a good portion of Bitcoin. Let it grow, and enjoy your fiat money. Give some good gifts to yourself. I may not be able to remember your Birthday on the exact day. But Happy Birthday in advance, Jet Cash. Live Long and Stay Strong.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 04, 2023, 06:34:48 AM
I expect Bitcoin to reach at least $100k at the peak of the next bull run, possibly $150k.
I don't expect much because I don't buy Bitcoin. I earn in Bitcoin. So, Whatever amount I am holding, I accumulated it like DCA. If we don't enter the bull run, I will accumulate more Satoshi. I won't be disappointed if we don't see the bull run soon because this will give me more time to accumulate more Satoshies at a Cheap price. We may see the next bull run after the next halving. I will be surprised if we see a bull run earlier than the next halving.

Quote
Just wondering what we are all planning to do when Bitcoin does reach $100k - are you selling or are you holding till the 2028/29 bull run?
I will sell a portion of my Bitcoin to get some profits and buy back once the market goes down again. I won't sell all of them because we don't know when you will go down again, or we might never go down that much. We may see a higher price than we are expecting now. I don't know how much you guys are expecting. But, My expectation is not more than 100K for 2024. Because higher expectation makes you disappointed very often. So, I want to tell myself don't expect too much. If you get more than your expectations, you will always be happy with what you have.

As much as I'd like to see more restrictions for Newbies, I think theymos has a point:

Sometimes I find your response is predictable. When I saw this topic title, I thought if LoyceV commented on this post, He must mention theymos and his famous post about restricting newbies. Come on, LoyecV, Upgrade yourself and say something from your perspective (I know you do). I find it helpful to limit newbies from posting on the lending board. It's not like they will be restricted from participating in the forum and not allowed to share their opinion. I mean, I have a point as well. Don't you think so?

Quote
I think we should stop protecting people from taking risks: if they're dumb enough to send their money to a Newbie with no forum history, they're on their own.
You didn't say that. Did you? Oh, I don't think you will say that when you see someone is going to send money to a newbie who doesn't have a good or no forum history. As you said, once in a while, you can't stop responding when you see a newbie want to buy 500000 Bitcoins. It would be best if you didn't stop yourself from responding in such a case as well  Roll Eyes
197  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay CONFISCATING 291mbtc of fair NBA winnings on: May 04, 2023, 05:19:13 AM
Maybe the accounts were bought long time ago and never used. Just lying there idle waiting on a reason to wake up. Maybe they aren't owned by Coinplay at all but some farm that contacted them and offered to oppose the flags for money.
You could be correct as well. But, I don't see any point why they will keep the password unchanged if they were bought long ago. They woke up and changed the password as well. It seems those accounts were bought a few days ago. However, It's possible that those accounts are not owned by Coinplay but by someone else.

Quote
Maybe Coinplay runs many other casinos or Bitcointalk accounts and has numerous alt accounts they can use for various reasons. There are many possibilities. The only thing that is certain is that their opposition to the flags means absolutely nothing to their visibility. Wasted effort that could have been better spent on not cheating their players.
Even if Coinplay or their representative did not own those accounts, Whoever dealt with the party to oppose that flag is not familiar with the forum system. They don't know how it works. Otherwise, they won't spend money on that purpose. I don't know if they own several casinos. But, If they own those same types of casinos, prepare yourself to see more scam accusations in the coming days.

Interesting Information and Nice catch, Ratimov. So now started playing a dirty game in the forum. I won't be surprised if I see those accounts start to shill their project since those are exclusively woken-up accounts trying to defend coin play. I am wondering how dumb their representative or marketing or whoever is trying to do this shit. None of those accounts are on the DT network, and their support or opposition cannot change the flag result.

Often the purpose of such accounts is to show, supposedly, the support of the casino. You see, not everything is so simple, we have supporters and those who do not agree with these accusations. And everything in this spirit. Although, judging by the behavior of this representative, he did not try to somehow save his signature campaign and his reputation on this forum. Just accepted it and left.

This is one of the reasons why account sales are frowned upon by forum members. A few days ago, yahoo created a thread to discuss this matter, and I saw you are the first person to respond there. If I am not wrong, all the accounts you mentioned in this thread are sold now. Regarding their reputation, yeah. They did not try to defend their back. They just accepted and left. But, Did you get that their casino representative is unfamiliar with the forum environment and doesn't know much about the forum system? Who would buy such accounts to oppose the flags? They don't know how it works. I see this as an attempt to save their reputation in a dirty way.

Quote
I won't be surprised that he will soon lose his casino, he will create another one and come here again under a new brand.
I won't say that. No scam casinos lose their platform. They lose their reputation. Some casinos still have bad reputations as they don't care about reputation in this forum, and their platform is up and running.

At least, I think so. I don't think they will come here to say it's a coincidence.

At first, they had a few scam accusations and forum members didn't care about it because those things happen. Sometimes players cheat as well. They said they would cooperate with 3rd party mediation service but did not accept the result. Now we have to see this dirty job to protect their reputation. Good try, but it did not work.

Yeah, Most of the old gambler on play games like Blackjack and Poker to have a better chance of winning with playing the basic strategy. Some still playing slots but they are just doing it to hunt high multiplier using fixed bankroll unlike newbie that will chase jackpot without considering the total expenses of the bankroll. I'm not a regular player of slot games but playing it longer will make user just loss since it house 5% average house edge which is very high for a game that being played for long game session.
I don't deny anything you have said in the quoted part. I did the same when I started gambling. But, If I remember correctly, there were no slot games at that casino where I started my first gambling. I don't want to mention the name, but that was the most popular casino at that time and did not have any 3rd party games. They had some popular In-house games, including Dice, Roulette and a few more which I cannot remember right now. Back then, One of the craziest thing was faucet and rain bonus for active chat members. I remember I've wasted a lot of time in chat room chering for others big win.

Not only for their lose, But I've seen they leave negative feedback because they did not like the bonus system of the platform. it was discussed here a few days ago.
