181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Global Denomination (GDN) X11 BTC & GDN Marketplace, Exchanges, IRC, Dice on: May 11, 2014, 03:31:06 PM
we are starting plans to update the source code

any idea's or suggestions you want implemented let us know now here or on gdtalk.org

We will be adding hardcoded nodes to make the wallet sync without GlobalDenomination.conf

We are looking into Designed wallets, Digishield and various other items

This will be implemented soon....

It's good to introduce news to keep the coin and the community alive...
I like logo and i'm thinking it would be nice to print some t-shirts and/or caps...
Summer is coming and t-shirts/caps r a good advertising channel...
I read we r implementing an online shop... Would it be possible to list there for sell?..

Net hashrate above 200Mh now. Come to mine and pump to price to reach a bigger exhange!

Pointed 2 rigs of mine on H5C... Good coin and good moment to mine it!
It seems it's a fair coin w nice characteristics and good potential...
I'm in it!

Guys, i have feeling Summercoin's dev is now launching Libertycoin with his new account:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=600322.0

Why do i think so ? We all remember that an old source code of Summercoin has Zerocoin library in it (but it has nothing to do with SUM). And now LibertyCoin is launched with Zerocoin technology included. So there is chance that this guy accidentally included Zerocoin in his Summercoin, while it's supposed to be Libertycoin which is another project of him.

I also see that the grammar and wordings of both devs are quite similar, he is asian i guess.

Note that only Anoncoin till now is the coin that implemented Zerocoin's lib, now we have Libertycoin. But somehow zerocoin's lib appeared in Summercoin's source. I just don't get it.

Coincidence ? I don't think so.

We all wonder why the dev is so inactive, it seems we have answer. He's busy with other projects.

Yes, possible...
According on what they said on both SUM and XLB threads (they were tired and going to sleep) they are both from asia for sure...
And considering grammar and wordings, like u said, maybe they are the same person...
Good nose u have...  Wink
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BDG] [BADGERCOIN] FIRST LIVE X11 POW/POS Hybrid -2wk POW / 12hr POS stake on: May 09, 2014, 07:56:59 PM

Pool:

https://bdg.suprnova.cc

Still 0 % fee

Hop in, we've got several X11 pools running, everything is fine, pm me if any problems arise

Payouts every 60 seconds
Never had problems with payouts
Rock-Solid
0% fee (still!)
Support via PN, IRC or Mail
The Day 1 Badger Pool

Please make sure to switch your rigs when Pow Ends

Would be best if you turn off stratum on the BDG pool so miners switch to backup pools on another coin.

We can't all be standing by to switch these manual in many cases.

Thanks

Ok I'll try.. do we have a ETA now ? I'll make me a reminder

Just a short reminder, i've updated "Getting Started" now, but please stop mining with Scrypt !

It is an X11 Coin ! You need to mine with the darkcoin Kernel ! (e.g. sgminer -k darkcoin ...)

thx !

Ah things seem to get more interesting, we just had a nice DDoS Attack against the Pool, no shares were lost, i lasted only a few seconds until it was filtered/mitigated..

Just to let you know if you saw a short hiccup, everything should be running fine though.
Can you give the reason why people would DDOS your server?   To lower the difficulty so they can mine faster?  To hope to hack your server during the chaos of the DDOS attack?  What do you believe is the reason all these mining pools get DDOSed?

I would also like to ustand why...
Can somebody explain it to us?
Thank u!
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|10% per day in 5 days|New wallet on: May 06, 2014, 08:03:32 AM
anyone good at programming can check the source code why the heavy traffic on wallet ?

Source code is probably clean i guess, but that fact doens't prove that wallet binaries are fine. If our dev is evil, he can still compile binaries with "extra malware" included while published sources are clean. And that's only the theory, i'm not accusing anyone here.

What recently happened with Asiacoin and Dafuqcoin has exposed huge weakness of crypto community. We use source codes without any knowledge to check it, even the experienced coders here are too lazy to scan whole source for evil lines of code (because this task take tremendous amount of time)

And also seems some people here r not interested at all in security...
For them r just ridiculous things!
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|10% per day in 5 days|New wallet on: May 06, 2014, 07:59:25 AM
What is good news for this coin?

Everything is working good (10% PoS, new wallet, new website etc), just some panic about some ridiculous stuff (virus, amount of traffic it generates etc..) what brings the value down. I wish I had some BTC left I would buy loads of it from dumpers. The only thing we need is a couple of good multipools.

...ridiculous stuff? I'm sorry but if i see my sum wallet uploads almost 2GB during the night i think it's normal to ask myself what it is uploading...
And evthing i did is to ask here if somebody else has experiencing the same...
and it seems it's true... the traffic it generates is abnormal compared to other pos wallets... not ridiculous... That's all!
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|10% per day in 5 days|New wallet on: May 05, 2014, 11:08:21 PM
BE CAREFUL WITH THIS WALLET. AFTER 2 DAYS, IT HAS SENT OVER 7GB OF OUTGOING TRAFFIC, A COMPUTER I NEVER USE.

CHANGE ALL YOUR PASSWORDS AND CHANGE YOUR WALLET IDS. ITS A VIRUS!

verifications? yes, high traffic.

Yes, Wallet always upload some kind of information!
2MB for 5 minutes

WTF Dev ?

I noticed the same... 32KB/s outgoing... it uses all my upload bandwith...
I cannot ustand if it's normal or not...
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|10% per day in 5 days|New wallet on: May 05, 2014, 08:52:06 PM
Hey guys, it seems this wallet, leaving it open, generates a lot of traffic on the network especially outgoing...
I could notice it because on the same internet connection i've voip... an when the wallet is open it's even not possible to talk at the phone...
I checked in the router and could notice the huge outgoing traffic... very strage and suspicious...
Is somebody experiencing the same?..

189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RESURRECTION] Taking Beecoin to the Hive Flying!MANDATORY Client Update! on: May 04, 2014, 02:34:17 PM

X11 + PoS r getting popular now...

Cheesy

Hey, guys. What are you talking about? Are you Chinese? Could you please translate it into English? It seems you were talking about interesting things. Cheesy Cheesy

I simply think it's not polite at all to talk in a language that is not english...
People here are writing from any part of the world... if evbody will start to write in their own language it will be a total mess...
So please respect for the members of the forum...
Anyway they are saying one fo them is getting 20% of pos instead of 10... he posted a screenshot but the link is pointing to a local file! ...imagine the cleverness.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|Trade on poloniex and bittrex on: May 04, 2014, 11:46:17 AM

I don't mind abt these 195k... it was clear from the beginning he would take them...
The most important thing is he took till block 10k as declared in the 1st post and no more...
It seems he was honest keeping his promises...
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|Trade on poloniex and bittrex on: May 03, 2014, 07:32:31 PM
Dev, do you have 20 coins from each block, or only from 10k PoW blocks?
barbmc193 trying to cause panic, we would appreciate if you clarify the situation. Also, your wallet address would be usefull to put more trust in this coin.

+1

the 20 coin address is in the block explorer - once POW stopped DEV stopped receiving coins

SbcXQKB9wCZevLcugpKcweYkY9MHodWSkY is the DEV's address

http://cryptexplorer.com/address/SbcXQKB9wCZevLcugpKcweYkY9MHodWSkY   < DEVS wallet

there is no need to panic about some secret/hidden block, its not there...

Can you explain to me what happened at those blocks after 10000 like block
10032
10044
10046
10050
10063
and so on till 13055?
There are multiple amount in the same transaction related to his wallet that i cannot ustand...
Are withdraws?.. or what?

Balance increasing with each multiple trans. It looks like he got 20 coins from block multiple times after some point

I thought the same...

If u look here (u need to scroll down a lot)
http://cryptexplorer.com/address/SbcXQKB9wCZevLcugpKcweYkY9MHodWSkY
seems he got 20 coins/block regularly till block 10000.
After block 10000, 20 coins payments go on till block 13055 but not regularly... some blocks contain multiple 20 coins/block some blocks no payments...
Maybe u are able to ustand better than me...

I do think the new logo looks very professional.  With that said. I like the old one better... it actually made me think of summer when I saw it.  This one doesn't.

Again, that's not to say the new on is bad, it certainly is not.  The other just seemed to fit the name summercoin better.

You think this logo? ^^

YES!

It's not as professional looking, but it does the trick. If the logo was going to get an update to something better... it needs color. That's what makes you think of summer.

Yes i agree... the palm is giving the idea of summer very good but it needs COLOR!
