On the bright side, I guess I could have done a lot worse -- but I am ruing the missed chance to swap Raya for Pickford (1 point for 10) whom I was much more sure of a clean sheet. And out some injuries. And definitely not captain/vice the same old dudes again... but knowing me I'll probably forget to make changes again if I wait too long.
Obviously, waiting too long has lead me to procrastination which always results in my passing the transfer deadline and eventually, I get to repeat a recent team unwilling. It’s something I’ve been avoiding lately and I made an example out of Salah. If he couldn’t be productive in a DG, I didn’t see where else his going to have that performance.

BTW I just need 1 more goal from City to hit my Sunday acca.
What I need is the Chelsea game be done but, it’s far back Thursday, that’s like, long… would like to see Palmer do something, Porro avoiding the yellow card and auto sub gets me Saka with 12 points and let’s have a wild smile at Pep, as his strategy of resting Foden would right my wrongs with Saka.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2024, 06:51:43 PM
I knew NotATether and Cls63 were returning back to Isak so I did something different. I see Jackson outscoring Isak. Hope it pays off if not I'm done for...

Palmer and Jackson starts!!!!
N. Jackson, for real! Like I saw him on some of your teams and I was like, for real! Is it because of the DG or that’s just because his missed far too many chances, come under some heavy critics that would push for a change… the guy is terrible, just terrible. I wouldn’t have him, not with what I’ve seen him do lately and a DG isn’t going to change that.

Palmer, yeah Palmer is good, I am looking at him for a possible triple captain but, that still depends on how I feel about him in the coming weeks. Isak is another option and them both would considered carefully.
183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin halving is coming, what should we do? on: April 27, 2024, 06:26:01 PM
Well the halving is here and gone but the most we have seen so far was the increase in fee which have dropped drastically at the moment. Still, preparing for the halving is something that is done before the halving and not after but, it ain’t particulate, you don’t invest based on the halving but, you could buy more aggressively to increase your portfolio before the halving. The halving is done but you could still buy more as the halving haven’t reflected on the price yet.
I don’t have to say much but, just buy and keep buying, Bitcoin and Bitcoin most of all.
184  Other / Meta / Re: Help unlocking my original bitcointalk account on: April 27, 2024, 05:06:44 PM
The process for "forgot password" is not successful.  The account seems to be locked.

As suggested by Haznik above, I have sent a request for account help to the email and process described here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0

It says if the account was hacked or other issues, to send to that email node.  My account was not hacked.  Instead, my understanding is there was some sitewide issue, and bitcointalk required all affected users to proactively do something to recover their account, and there was a time-limit to completing this.  At the time I was not active on this site and missed the window.
I knew the password reset wasn’t going to work eventually, as this wasn’t a typical hacked and reset password issue but, an attempt to recover account from the admins. Since, the account was locked by an admin for the safety of owner and users on here.
It’s nice to have you back and not just back but seeking means to regain your account. I think one of your best means of proving ownership of your account is providing a signed message from the Bitcoin address you’ve linked or used with that account.

You can look up this link by Theymos on Recovering hacked/lost account if you can salvage the informations there to your advantage and archive your purpose.

You gotta feel sorry for buwaytress, his captain ( Darwin) and Salah ( V) subbed in around 80mins. He manage to get 3 points off those two players. Liverpool assets are red flags for now.
I rather save all those pity for myself and what wrong decision I have made, having to pick choose B. Fernandes as Salah’s replacement when I had a better option in Bowen and I had to leave B. Saka on the bench to accommodate B. Fernandes, it was a tough decision from the start, knowing the quality of Saka and form of Arsenal but my gut feeling had the best of me and all B. Fernandes could show for it is just 2 points, like come on!

My consolation at the moment is just A. Isak. I mean, not having him on your team at this point is such a huge risk. His been scoring consecutively in all his recent games, a brace at least or tops it with an assist, that’s an asset worth having and worth keeping.

It’s really a case of to your peril at Buwaytress having them Liverpool assets, I don’t need to be close to the transfer deadline before taking a decision to set them free to the market. They are FPL overrated at the moment.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 27, 2024, 01:50:56 PM
Liverpool "draw", no I didn't think about it because I was (?) (  Embarrassed  ) a Liv fan, but as I would have liked to take advantage of those odds, (4.8x) that 1.52 was easy to bet on.
It would be expecting too much of Liverpool in having to hope that, they could come up with a win against the hammers which have suffered some losses in there recent games. They didn’t have a very easy start with this game, Liverpool was pressing high but, as soon as West Ham United got their break, they scored a late first half goal. Liverpool came back strong and gained the league but obviously, Weet Ham United wasn’t going to let another game slip through their fingers.
Liverpool have been really sluggish and their 75points up is what isn’t giving them away from a UCL spot with Aston Villa up there tail else, they could as well, find themselves in the Europa next season.
Aston Villa would play Chelsea today, they seem the favorites to win from the bookies point but, am seeing a draw or Chelsea win in this round.
187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2024, 01:40:14 PM
Plenty more weeks to go for me to return to my shitty average, don't worry. But at least I'm putting up a decent fight, eh? Don't get me wrong, I'm dreaming of a late charge but I've used up all my cards, and will probably keep Nunez and Salah. So you know what to expect heh heh

I've given up on Liverpool assets; nothing seems to be working there, and Salah won't stop shitting around. Salah has not been the same after his AFCON injury.

Foden delivers another POTY performance. The FA could as well compensate Palmer with the YPOTY award. Foden deserves both honesty.  Not the best week.
Salah was just bad business to my points gain and such a lofty amount his been priced at $13. I saw him out of my team before transfer deadline, had to pick between Odegaard, B. Fernandes and Bowen for a replacement and for a first time, I got a Manchester United asset in B. Fernandes. Bowen was able to manage a goal and an assist today though, would be looking up B. Fernandes to prove I made a good pick in him.
Salah yet again comes up with a below average point. His been just too terrible to let stay through the GWs and minutes he spent on my team. Worst, having no returns for captaincy. Those of you who still have faith in his abilities, good luck with that, Liverpool is in no form to haul and so is Salah.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 26, 2024, 11:22:45 PM
Will Liverpool lose points in this match? I do not think so.
Why do you think Liverpool can’t lose a point? Nobody believed Liverpool would lose a point in their last match, Liverpool losing to Everton came as a surprise to everyone, so I won’t be surprised if Liverpool lose their next match. Liverpool made a great mistake by losing to Everton. Liverpool doesn’t have hope to win the Premier League again this season, so even when playing against West Ham, they can still lose in the match, and West Ham is stronger than Everton, which Liverpool lost to.

I was going to bet on Liverpool to win there Everton fixture, I really was going to go for that because, I just didn’t see them loosing, loosing to this side that a fading Chelsea glorified itself in. Still, it was this same side, this same team that did beat Liverpool to a 2 goals to nothing. It was really disappointing, given that until then, they still were in the title race but, they are far back now and the Klopp send off dream is in shambles. Am glad I didn’t bet on them, now, it’s up to Arsenal to keep up the dream with Manchester City.
Liverpool will be playing against West Ham United tomorrow, it would be an interesting game given that, both sides are in desperate need of a win though, am not confinement in Liverpool just yet.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 26, 2024, 10:47:00 PM
The halving was a major event that attracted many new investors to bitcoins, some started investing seriously some months to the halving just so to make some profit from it.The halving was what attracted them, but now that the halving has come and gone, do you think that the number of new investors will reduce for the now until the next halving is close again?
I don’t know how this is of any major concern as, there have always been an influx of investors in Bitcoin everyday of its continued existence. I don’t see how any of that is going to change for those who truly understand how Bitcoin really works. In fact, it would be an added advantage should weak hands and those who sought the currency for only what they could profit to be pushed out. They will always come back to buy it at a more higher price than they sold. That’s just something I know for sure and the halving pump is far from happening at the time so, where is the profit in having to sell now? Not like I give it any importance though but, I wouldn’t worry about investors coming in and out of Bitcoin.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the Dubmest Thing Ever Invented on: April 26, 2024, 10:40:54 PM
The so-called crypto-currencies, such as Bitcoin, are exactly like our hypothetical crypto-post. From the outside, Bitcoin looks similar to traditional currencies. It is a system that has units which are transferred between people. If you have a bank account, what you have is some name such as USD, and a number that represents the quantity of units in the US banking system. If you have a Bitcoin account you also have a name - BTC and a number that represents the quantity of units in the Bitcoin system. But the catch is that the units in the Bitcoin system are empty. They are just like envelopes and packages in our crypto-post. They contain nothing. They are units of ownership in nothing.
Well, if you look at it this way, you might not find value in anything that isn’t tangible. The world has gone paste where we place value only in that which is tangible. For instance, our fiat could be regarded as mere paper and nothing more, isn’t it. It’s just a paper that comes with government backing and have got some special embedded character to enable it serve as a currency, that’s what differentiates it from counterfeit currencies.
Now, what do you really get when you buy a program online? You get a copy of some written codes into a working app or folder and it performs a designed function and you value it for that.

Now Bitcoin is more than all of that as, it’s decentralized, it just doesn’t need the validation of any individual to work but, a people who are ready to use it for day to day transactions.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t like the term “crypto” on: April 26, 2024, 10:25:15 PM
As logical as your reasons might be or as I see it now, it is what it is in the end. The term has come to differentiate the development for a niche and that’s just it. The rest of us who are very much concerned about a distinct difference between Bitcoin from the rest of them altcoins out there will always note the difference, even go the length to note Bitcoin to be different from bitcoin of you follow me through.
One thing is for sure though, Bitcoin through all these have got a name for itself such that, who ever pays attention when it comes to an investment in the cryptocurrency industry will always find his or her way to a Bitcoin purchase. That’s just how I like to imagine it as, Bitcoin would always set itself apart.
It’s the only coin with a market capitalization running into trillions of dollars, respect that!
192  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Reason why most people don't grow, improve etc on: April 26, 2024, 06:52:12 PM
Reason why people don’t necessarily grow or improve: This is really personal, in the sense that a lot of people fights different battles and at such it tells on their standard of living, acting, communication and others. Most times it’s not because people are dumb or dull, it’s mostly their inability to redirect their focus and act on them thus procrastinating the process of growth.

To grow is a desired warfare that firstly involves an individual and then maybe other parties to help. What I know is that growth is personal and until a decision is made to expand, stagnation and procrastination is what fuels…
In this time, some persons will blame the economy to have deprives them the opportunities to make better themselves but, even in a difficult economy, you ought to find something to leach to for your survival.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 25, 2024, 11:39:57 PM
With how good Man City is playing i dont see anyone stopping them. I think even if they have a bad day they will win the match. So i think they got the title in the bag. Liverpool is out already of the title race,Arsenal is still holding on but i dont think that Arsenal can win all of the matches until the end of the season.
Manchester City suddenly don’t seem like a team that would lose any game from here on with the way they’ve been playing, so in form and Pep is doing his very best to avoid injury, regularly rotating his players to ensure a fit team to carry on the rest of the season. Foden has been such a goal machine for Pep and his been using him real good. They are out of the UCL and that means, they’ve got very few reasons to have diverse attention.

Brighton was of no good today, they didn’t deserve even a draw and Manchester City ensured they didn’t come any close to that from the first half. Having to increase their goal difference is another positive result from this game for Manchester City. Arsenal still isn’t going to lose hope though but, it’s pretty much gone if Spurs don’t come up with some brilliance.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streaming community are getting worst!!! on: April 25, 2024, 08:09:40 PM
They sell their dignity in order to promote gambling, maybe because the offer is too good for them to refuse, but the concept of them abandoning their dignity and ignoring the fact that they could have a bad influence on their viewers,

Bruh, do you realize you are also wearing a casino signature and avatar? When you say they are abandoning their dignity to get paid by the casinos, it makes me confused.
I suppose it’s more justifiable at his or her end because, he ain’t operating a streaming channel and as such, kids aren’t finding there ways to gambling site.
I am very much against kids and the immature in mind and thoughts gambling but, I don’t blame streamers when they aren’t censoring what the content they are promoting.
While you might control how you approach gambling, you can’t control how others react towards it and that’s fair game. That’s why it’s said, you should gamble responsibly. You owe that to yourself and the gambling industry.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 25, 2024, 08:00:53 PM
Yesterday proves why Manchester City are champions of the EPL and would likely stay that way. A league that had a very competitive top 3 and you suddenly find Liverpool making the mistake of losing to a team that is battling relegation like Everton. I guess that makes Everton’s taste for a win more dangerous but, the close Liverpool are to top the league is a drive for them to be more competitive and they’ve already lost out of the Europa to give them more focus on the league.

Manchester City is already beating Brighton Hove Albion by 3 goals to nothing, another step closer to the trophy.
196  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Local Board Moderator; Your honest feedback here. on: April 24, 2024, 09:14:04 AM
~snipe~
You’re one of the recognizable face in your user across the forum and especially within the Nigerian community/local on the forum. It would be an added advantaged mostly to this spam infested local board to have someone as versatile as yourself with a good sense of judgement, the sheriff to function in this capacity of acting as the moderator of the Nigerian Local board. It would be an applauding of the work you’ve continued already, tagging them spammers and what better way it would be to instill a high level of control when they notice there spam threads and posts being deleted.

It’s nice to have you come forward for this and you’ve got my virus support Igebotz. The local board is in dire need of moderating and I see you fit enough for the task.

I do hope the local board gets separated into sub boards some day, it would really reflect what’s obtainable in other local boards, group discussions, ease having to look up a niche and ease the moderation too as well as reduce spam based on best fit posts with users making conscious effort to create posts that should fit in a niche.
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 23, 2024, 11:58:59 PM
Dortmund through fullkrug in the 81st minute and many people believed that the match would be Leverkusen's first defeat but in fact that didn't happen, Leverkusen got up and managed to score a goal in the 90+7 minute through Stanisic.

Alonso is the coach most sought after by many big clubs in the world at the moment, many are willing to pay a lot of money to bring him in, the thing i'm curious about is whether next season Leverkusen will be like now, whether they will remain the strongest team in the Bundesliga again.
When you really want to set a record, you don’t let even the idea of an already won league trophy get in the way. You just keep coming at it until the last fixture is done and Leverkusen have been really amazing this season. Having to come in front and actually take the Bayern Bundesliga is something I wouldn’t have believed they could come up with if this was said to me at the beginning of the season.
Dortmund haven’t been a team that could keep a lead but, they are sure to score and that’s where I find my bet with these guys, the goal market.

Alonso being the most sought out for coach, well that’s just him for the now. If he’s not given the freehand to run his team and get players that suits his style of play, he’s just going to be washed up like several others.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 23, 2024, 11:52:46 PM

Chelsea have not been at their best this season but whenever they come up playing against a big team, we always see an entirely different side that is willing to give their all and almost have almost won all the big teams that they have played this season. Arsenal were entirely different in this game as they did not even allow Chelsea to settle down and find their pattern before they scored the goal.
Have they got any best at all?
Chelsea at the moment have got nothing to offer the EPL fans with this set of players. All except for Palmer. His really the only asset that Chelsea have got to pride in and him not being on the pitch today, the result is just a Chelsea that couldn’t produce any style of play. Just how did they manage to conceive just a single goal in the first half and goes ahead to conceive 4 goals in the second half. They are such a terrible team and I enjoyed nothing watching the game today except, having to laugh at what I was seeing. You could tell Pochettino was clearly clueless and frustrated at what was happening.
I didn’t expect Chelsea to win or draw but, didn’t see them being this humiliated either.

200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 22, 2024, 08:39:22 PM
Girona's current situation is still uncertain especially with the current performance declining, it will be difficult if in the remaining 6 matches now it will be favorable for them especially if you look at the schedule that will be implemented Barcelona and Girona will still meet so that it can be a determination of who will deserve to be in position 2 at the end of the season.

Look closely into Girona performance, the only problem I have with them is that consistency they are not having they are not having in winning matches but atleast they are winning and they are 7 points ahead of Atletico Madrid and by the way, Atletico are not that good as well so top 3 will go well for them but I'm not sure about overtaking Barcelona, if not for Real Madrid, they would have continue to move up.
I don’t think Girona are all that bad at their play. For a team that have only got about 5years of playing senior football and are playing at this standard and there stands on the league table, Girona is doing okay. I wouldn’t expect so much of them given the likes of Atlectico Madrid, Athletic Club that are some of the top class way behind them in the league right now.
For Atlectico Madrid, they’ve always revolves there games about getting few goals and concentrating on the defense to keep it and that’s way too difficult to archive these days, having to keep a lead. When not in the lead, you could always find a set of frustrating players who let everything get to them. Girona aren’t so bad and they’ve got the top scorer in their team.
