181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Has Ordered All Financial Institutions To Cut Crypto -Related Services on: June 25, 2021, 12:37:03 PM
It seems that we will keep seeing countries supporting crypto today and stop supporting crypto the next day, I can't imagine how many times china have stopped supporting crypto over and over, it looks like a planned manipulation to me
182  Other / Off-topic / Re: John McAfee Found Dead in Spanish Cell After Extradition Announcement on: June 24, 2021, 07:21:02 AM
I am curious to know if it is possible that America wasn't behind it.

Because these few words are forcing me to think that America wanted to kill McAfee just because he was speaking against the government agencies.

Quote
Janice McAfee said in a post on Twitter on Sunday, "Now the U.S. authorities are determined to have John die in prison to make an example of him for speaking out against the corruption within their government agencies... There is no hope of him ever having a fair trial in America."

Maybe or maybe not only God knows the truth, I'm sad that this happens to McAfee honestly he is a icon on his own and also a man who fought against government conspiracies, about the crypto part he doesn't know anything about blockchain he just believe that it's futuristic, R.I.P JOHN
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to cool rig with six fans - What's the best method? Corsair Commander Pro on: June 24, 2021, 07:16:27 AM
This might sounds strange but it is what it is, in my home a room is more hotter than the other, I don't noticed this at first but after hours of continuous mining the temp grow higher so I noticed that the sun sets exactly on that one room for hours so I switch and the high temp disappeared.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to cool rig with six fans - What's the best method? Corsair Commander Pro on: June 23, 2021, 08:00:16 AM
Looks good and I'm sure it can power the fans, they are just fans mate so whatever or whichever one you decide to go with will work well, I use table fans for my rigs that have high temp and that works good too
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Too good to be true rig offer on: June 23, 2021, 07:54:28 AM
Guys someone trying to sell me a 8x RTX 3070 for 4000$ in my country but I don't even believe this is real because this is definition of too damn good to be true, GPUs are still damn costly as we all know it so even if this guy got them cards at MSRP well ETH mining isn't even over yet, that's 1000$ every month @ 500MH, tell me ain't something fishy here? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A real alternative to Chia Coin? on: June 22, 2021, 02:18:00 PM
I think the best alternative is Helium. Its not proof of space and time but proof of coverage but still I think it's safest and best investment of that sort now.
yes i aggre, Helium aims to improve the communication capabilities of wireless Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In 2013, infrastructure around IoT was still in its infancy, but developers wanted to add decentralization to their offering, hence referring to it as “The People’s Network” in official literature.

Its core appeal will be to device owners and those interested in the IoT space, with financial incentives providing further outreach possibilities.
Helium is way better over chia coin because its the true definition of green energy mining because all you need is little watt of power 5w to 15watts to power helium hotspot miners in your home and start earning
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will The Sorrow of BTC Be The Pleasure of Altcoins? on: June 22, 2021, 02:04:17 PM
Bitcoin is the undisputed King & always will be. Most alts don’t even have an independent price path, they go up when bitcoin goes up & they follow bitcoin down when the King goes down. In my opinion no alt will ever flip bitcoin.
Never say never, there is one thing that's certain in crypto space and that's 100% manipulation, we don't know what will happen in the future but now bitcoin indeed look like it's impossible to flip but anything is possible
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's a good starter motherboard for building a starter mining rig? on: June 21, 2021, 05:59:11 PM
Trust me OP you will have less headache if you go with motherboards that are built for mining purpose, old motherboards works but they misbehave anyhow, I have two old motherboards that gives me problem from time to time and I can instantly tell the difference when I got a colorful mining motherboard

189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: POW and environment BShit on: June 21, 2021, 05:52:44 PM
Lol, I have no issue with 24/7 mining because I don't even use grid anymore, I'm 100% running on solar panels for my home and my mining rigs, everyone will give their best to achieve what ever they aimed for and that's what Elon Musk is trying to do here, he pumped Dogecoin which is another PoW algorithm coin, it's clear that he is saying nonsense

191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Art NFT projects confusion on: June 06, 2021, 07:06:59 AM
I understand that you can buy and sell item in games through NFT which means gaming NFT projects have a real purpose but I never just get the ART NFT projects, why would people pay huge amount of money for a gif or JPEG file? Can someone explain this better?
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is best time buying SHIB token or not on: June 05, 2021, 06:03:21 AM
FOMO brings many investors into crypto and that's a wrong move, there are reasons why crypto projects survives in the long term and meme isn't part of it, real use case and good utilities is undeniable when it comes to buying and holding coins this is why I stay away from shiba inu and others
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth 2 staking question on: June 05, 2021, 06:01:23 AM
The answer is YES also I prefer the type of staking that allows you to withdraw your earnings if you feel like taking advantage of the price surge, I don't know the name of the staking program but it's available in binance exchange, you don't have to wait till the staking cycle ends before you can use your coins
194  Other / Archival / Re: Are there risks with GPU mining? 144% roi on: June 04, 2021, 05:52:07 PM
There is not much difference between buying coins to hold for long term and mining coins, the risk here is volatility in value while mining, meaning if you are earning 20$ per day through mining today it can turn 10$ all of a sudden tomorrow

1. Mining difficulty may increase
2. The coin price may decrease
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Chia mining on: June 04, 2021, 05:49:38 PM
I have interest in chia coin but presently there is no pool that works nicely so I can see it's daily earnings, Im not ready to do solo mining for weeks without getting any reward, you can buy your rigs and HDD and wait for pools I'm sure it's coming
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: passive income. on: June 03, 2021, 06:51:19 AM
A 4000$ mining rig today can't net you 28$ per day but it's more realistic than what any website may have promised you because if return from centralised entity is too high it's probably a scam, with 4000$ spent on GPU you can make 10$ per day excluding electricity costs. I used a single RTX3090 GPU here
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help with error 388 with GTX 970 after already increasing virtual memory on: June 03, 2021, 06:47:03 AM
Noob here, need some help fixing the 388 error for the Cuda out of memory... Already tried setting my virtual memory on every drive except the system drive up to 60.000. Here's the log (with some unimportant lines removed):

batsonxl is right, not enough vmem.

well, that settles it then. Thanks you guys! I'll be mining with just my 2080 then Cheesy
You can make some gains out of your gtx970 if you still have the GPU laying around, you can make 56$ per month mining raven coin or other, I heard ergo coin is even more profitable to mine, here is a calculator

198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Laptop RTX 3070 ETH 65MH/S at @130W on: June 03, 2021, 06:42:02 AM

Definitely better than desktop GPU for ETH.

Ergo it gives about 162MH/S.

Have to test on other algos yet.
How much is the cost of your laptop OP? In my country a laptop with rtx3070 onboard costs over 2000$ where as it's same with a desktop RYX3070 too but buying two laptops with gtx1660 ti reduced the money alot cos I can get that for around 750$ each
199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is here to stay, do not panic on: June 02, 2021, 03:14:31 PM
It's normal for BTC to drop before making new highs. Just hold and enjoy the ride

The question is for how long does one need to wait? You understand the feelings of going to your wallet and seeing your money on losses for a longer period of time. For instance you hold to sell in 90days, but by 75days you enter into losses that seems irreparable within the next 60days.
So, it is not as easy as you think to just hold on.
You are simply asking a question that only you can answer, do you need anyone to tell you when you have to sell your coins? It's your fault if you already make huge profits and failed to take the profits, that's example of been too greedy
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How true is this? on: June 02, 2021, 10:12:15 AM
How good have bittorrent project been so far? It's not even one of the most profitable coins of 2021, now we have chia a coin that claimed to be green energy efficiency but complete lie, there is nothing green about this project, anyways it doesn't matter where you getting your cakes from, all that matter is making profits
