More like rip-off. He/you only did a search&replace for the name and changed the deflatation rate from 24 to 96. Thomas(or you) didn't even take the time to create a unique site, ixcoin.org is a complete rip-off of bitcoin.org. Where is the big "development with foresight and planning"? The only foresight and planning i can see is a pump and dump scam with +580K pre-mined coins. Finding victims that buy/exchange your pre-mined Scamcoins... The bounties "set aside" and listed on the page only add up to 200K coins. Even if he/you pays them there are still plenty of coins left for your personal wallet. This is exactly it. And you know this could have been completely avoided if Thomas or whoever showed a little transparency with the premined 580k coins. He could have stated that they were specifically for bounties and project development for the new fork and posted the address containing the 580k / blockexplorer link - and a log of the paid transactions from said account as bounties. This would have went along way and probably would have stopped the i0coin fork from even being made.

I could go for a 10$ PBJ.

Indeed. You don't appear emotionally invested in ixcoin at all, despite being its only surviving proponent around here...
Now that's not true, there are legions of Samurai still mining ixcoin

Personally I think the difficulty retargeting adjustments are the most important new feature.

So what exactly does Iocoin do except offer encrypted wallet functionality You mean besides not being pre-mined for 500,000 + coins to the creator prior to launch? this oldminer is stuck on iXcoins nuts everyone know who you really are. dont be jelly cause your scam is over yeah i know, but the continuous omission of this fact is funny to me

That's OK, it threw off i0coin's author too. Now that was funny

DoubleC doesn't appear to be on atm
It's probably that i0coind crapped out and he is away

I don't think anyone anticipated this kind of leap to it personally...
Digbtc i0 pool = 174 GH/s i0Guild = 444 GH/s Coinotron 45 GH/s Bitparking 37 GH/s
i think the target was around 50 GH/s ...

I think it shows that the way ixcoin launched , with coins in reserve for bounties and infrastructure may not have been as bad as people thought after all.
The only reason ixcoin didn't suffer from the same problem is because it wasn't announced in advance, and secondly the experience caused certain actions to be taken in anticipation for i0coin. If i0coin had gone first, we wouldn't likely see a major pool readying up to unleash more than 400GH/s worth of hashrate onto it at diff 1. So the crazy block grab wouldn't had been this crazy Add to that the fact that the owner/creator of i0coin didn't personally mine out the first few difficulties himself

So those that were mining solo without the server mode switch would have lost any blocks they mined?
This is interesting, I was under the impression that anybody who intend to do solo mining should know they need to set the client into server mode manually? the i0coin launch may be had been poorly planned but I wouldn't call it a scam just because of that. Nothing that happen wasn't technically unexpected. Exactly. If your going to solo mine you should probably know how to do it. The fact that there was a major tier 1 pool set PRIOR to the official launch should have told you something. You weren't going to compete with the pool on even ground, it's just technically wasn't feasible. In this case "Royal Commissions are called to look into matters of great importance and usually controversy. These can be matters such as government structure, the treatment of minorities, events of considerable public concern or economic questions."
I'm at a loss on this one.....I mean really......

its possible that others were mining on the new block chain before it was posted to the forum.
You can see this isn't true in the block chain Of course there was a lot of rush to mine this new block chain but many people not realising they required to server switch and still seeing zero balance took to the mining pools despite the very low difficulty.
lack of knowledge != SCAM With the difficulty starting at 1, and the amount of attention this fork garnered, is what caused the start to be so chaotic, but you should have known this.... I know, I know everyone thought they would fire up their solo miners and mine a quick 500,000 i0coins and then by Saturday they would be rich....please

Has anyone seen this in regards to how this client works a bit differently to the others such as bitcoin and namecoin? You need to specify server or put server=1 in the i0coin.conf file http://forum.i0coin.org/index.php?topic=10.0I wonder if this is one of the reasons why so many people went in the pool instead of sticking to solo for the low difficulty settings As well that some people may have lost blocks because of this. I was solo mining with poclbm but didn't have the -server mode set and I do remember getting a couple of blocks that never came. I assumeed they may have been orphaned later but now I wonder. Technocrat said: "I found 2 blocks without having server=1 in my bitcoin.conf file. They did not show up in the client. Can these be recovered?" If this turns out to affect a lot of people and the coins can't be recovered it could be as good a case as any for a reset. How is this different, this is how it's been

I DEMAND A RESET!
It depends of you people, even if i release an i0coin client with a new chain you could continue using the old one, but i have no problem to create a new genesis block, tweak a few values and recompile Meanwhile i will continue mining on i0.digibtc lol So i0coin2 launches in what? 24 hours? 48? hehe its still an idea, if most of people here want a reset we can then set a relaunch date. I demand a rename
Welcome I1coin
There they go the bucks of the domains to i0coin no, way bad idea
