is this stellar the "ripple" deal?
182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Real Bitcoin Price Speculations on: August 02, 2014, 07:30:36 PM

It is still reversible if the user claims fraud within about 3 months.

This kid doesn't realize he's wrong and won't ever. Most likely never had any money to bet let alone deal with a paypal chargeback.
183  Economy / Auctions / Re: 2011 Casascius 1BTC Brass S2 graded MS-63 on: August 02, 2014, 05:36:15 PM
At current bid price, this auction will feed 144 people!!!

I am curious, are you planning to donate the sales money to charity?

I was also wondering this.
I dont see anywhere in his ad this is a charity auction.
184  Economy / Auctions / Re: Freebitco.in account with 274 active referrals on: August 02, 2014, 05:34:02 PM
Can these accounts be taken back or recovered by the previous owner?

Seems like a risk but relatively small one if it sells for .015

I think some people from the default trust list should add negative feedback until he pays the $100 bet he made (and clearly lost).
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone know syrpt merged mining pools? on: August 02, 2014, 05:04:11 PM
How about something like middlecoin? http://www.middlecoin.com/ it allows you to mine seperate coins and get paid in BTC automatically.
thats not merged mining, thats a mutipool

Do you earn more if you mine on a multipool and exchange them for bitcoin or does it matter which coin you mine?
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Real Bitcoin Price Speculations on: August 02, 2014, 04:48:16 PM
Great idea, lets make a new thread instead of posting in the one we already have.

Just as good of an idea as taking paypal gift in exchange for bitcoins because its not reversible  Roll Eyes

Side note- You have my address to pay the $100 you bet me, incase you missed it here it is

189  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500,000 per Bitcoin, baby. The math behind it. on: August 02, 2014, 04:45:25 PM
I won't pay $50.00 for his book but I would pay $0.50 if we can find 100 others willing to split the cost with me.

.50 is still to much, lets get it for free!
190  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [BUYING] BTC paying Western Union/MoneyGram on: August 02, 2014, 02:34:11 PM
I accept this bet. My address you can pay to is 1KCt9ZFS2L6QW4vcdTFqHVzusiaZe6wQGz

How many coins do you want to sell for paypal gift?

I accept the bet, however I am not going to use paypal. Also it is completely illogical as anyone who has compromised a paypal account can make a transfer as "gift".

Not sure if you quoted the wrong comment but I am saying it is reversible.
191  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [BUYING] BTC paying Western Union/MoneyGram on: August 02, 2014, 02:15:01 PM
Bro, you're transparent, but if someone wants to risk it, then who am I to stop them.

I guess there is only one way to understand.

We are a community. We should all be here to stop newbies from making mistakes and selling their bitcoins for paypal.

Just don't say gift payment isn't reversible because it clearly is, it just makes you look ignorant.

Pfff! HAhahaha! It's NOT reversible!

Paypal are on the prowl of scamming their customers. Not themselves!
If it was reversible then the majority of users would use it to double their cash, before their account gets closed.
If marked as "GIFT" even your bank cannot charge-back paypal!

I bet 100$ on it.

When will the bitcoin block reward be halved from 25BTC?
194  Economy / Auctions / Re: bitbill 1BTC v0.07 on: August 02, 2014, 12:52:51 PM
They are pretty rare...my guess most were redeemed.  The last complete sets I have seen sold were by Coblee about 1 year back.

Do you still have the set? Interested in selling it?

197  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] PS4 shipped to me from amazon for for 20% off on: August 02, 2014, 12:36:57 PM
Why not try localbitcoins?

Can you buy PS4's from there? I don't think he is looking to sell coins but rather exchange them for a discounted Playstation. I'm sure he knows how to trade bitcoins  Cheesy.

You can buy amazon codes at a discounted price on localbitcoins, then you go to amazon and buy the ps4.

Which african country is the author from?
We are not from Africa, we're from Ukraine.

Just ask yourselves - "Who with their right mind would pay 8% fee for WU/MG instead of 1% paypal fee?" Not only. Paypal has a "gift" option that cannot be reversed. If you use escrow it's the most convenient way.
Paypal is not common here and it can be reversed no matter what, even long time after the payment was made. Western Union/MoneyGram allow you to have cash directly. If you want to have cash with Paypal it is certainly not going to cost you only 1%.

Why have you stated that high MG fee? I've received amounts up to $2k+ with MG and the fee the sender had to pay has always been around $20.
These are the MoneyGram and Western Union fees in our country, a few years ago the fees were extremely low but they've changed suddenly. Although, I have checked the fees to send from other countries and we do not have the most expensive ones. I agree though that they charge abusive fees.

Paypal has a "gift" option, which cannot be reversed. Even if made by credit card. Which means you never used paypal to send money.
Its used to send money to your friends/family. Otherwise everyone would intentionally send money to their family and reverse it after money are withdrawn.
Thats why they ask you for a reason for payment.
I dont believe that after you get the coins you will go through all the trouble an pay all the fees to send money to anyone. Why would you want to?

People who are newbies anx immediately start to "buy" or "sell" stuff but "you send first" and claim to are more than one (speaking in plural for themselves - "we") are definitely scammers.

Tell you what. If you're so honest and trusting why don't you send someone 5k$ WU and then he'll send you your coins?

Ill tell you why - even if you had coins (which you dont) you wouldn't trust us.

How would you prove:

1.That you're not from Africa;
2.That you have money;
3.That even if 1 and 2 are facts you will actually pay for the coins?

In order to avoid he above people thought of escrow.

But wait you don't want "time wasters", its "urgent deal", you want "serious traders", "but they have to send first".

Doesnt work.

It sounds like you haven't used paypal much.

No matter if you send as a gift paypal  can still be reversed. If you don't think so why don't you sell your coins for paypal gift and see for yourself.
