Can you 20 mil? That's as small as I can go. Wire me 10k first just  to mark the path.
182  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to lose weight? on: August 21, 2023, 03:05:26 PM
As a former bodybuilder and athlete I have some things to say.

You can't out run a fork, period.

You deserve nothing, you ben a good person you can have "x" it won't hurt. It will. Stop.

Allot of things labeled as healthy are not, especially if it comes out of a box or container.

Your workout probably suck. Showing up and going through the motions is nothing but a participation trophy. I see people in the gym for years make zero progress.

If progress escaped you, you need a trainer/dietician and a food scale. Period.

There are some supplements that can help an already good routine, but they can't do it for you.

If you are leaving the gym not covered in sweet and fail to remember where you parked, your not working hard enough.

183  Economy / Speculation / Re: How passionate are you buying Bitcoin now? on: August 21, 2023, 01:55:43 PM
I have never been passionate making any investment than I am buying Bitcoin of recent. While a part of me is so optimistic that I am making the best decision with my funds, a part still entertain some fears. Well, I feel the aspect of fear is normal since I am not buying with 'spare money' as some people will call it... that concept of spare money does not really resonate with me as every penny I have is very important to me now.

Actually, my little buys might not influence the price much but my joy is having Bitcoin and holding unto it with the believe I will be among those that will look back sometime in the future and congratulate myself for taking that bold step when some people were doubting and panicking.

I draw my inspiration from the saying: "you will regret more for opportunities you never took than those you took and they went bad"

Hello, I have reason to think English isn't your first language so I understand things sometimes come across differently. That's just fine my friend.

Anyways you use ALLOT of words to express emotions in buying. Emotions should be very distant or surpressed when making decisions with money especially when investing with "not spare money".

Buy small bits at a time as to not extend yourself and cause emotional worry. Don't go all in build a cash war fund and buy a few percent at a time and enjoy your life not pasted to a screen worried about money.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 21, 2023, 12:28:50 AM
Thank-you Elon, I now can add more at a cheaper price! Blending down my avg cost!

Yes, you and i can add more to our portfolio with this dump but there are many who have positions opened in futures and the target was to liquidate them and they managed to do it with perfection.

This market is highly manipulated and volatile. If you know that Bitcoin has a future (and we all know this), then we should do two things to avoid our losses.

1) Do not panic sell in these situations when we are getting negative news and sentiments every day.

2) Keep holding bitcoin in the spot (in personal wallets) and avoid leverage / future trading as big moves against our positive bias, will make us lose our money.

I want them to get liquidated and lose! Lose baby lose your asses and drive that price lower so I can buy more my win! I would for an exchange to belly up and may get into the teens!

This is war, not a drum circle
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 21, 2023, 12:22:59 AM
I challenge anyone here to got to a garage sale, flea market, coffee shop or gas station without selection and buy something with a bitcoin. Go for it see what happens. Nothing but blank stairs.

Sure as an investment sure it CAN and will excel at some point. What if you need some money for a oral surgery and you need cash. How does bitcoin look when your 33% down at the moment? It's going to take some work to make up that loss. Little bit of evil fiat on hand is handy, I can cash in the silver or gold at spot or slight loss now. No biggie.

What happens if a screaming opportunity comes by but your all lock up in BTC undrwater with no other assets on hand? You lose. (opportunity cost).

I suspect allot of you are really young like 33 or less and haven't seen enough and parrot other is threads.

Oh it's limited amount, oh it will go up over time, it's so portable and fast... Blah blah..

May be true but stop counting on the best possible scenario and hedge against middle of the road worst.

Read the books by the winners, not listen in an echo chamber of what you want to believe.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 20, 2023, 08:42:00 PM
Don't forget if your looking portfolio diversity you can hold preciouses metals (or a blend of) in an ETF and that negates the physical security part. But now your on radar.

If you can't have bitcoin, you could possibly own Micro Strategies giving some exposure to BTC.

Think outside the box people
I personally have a blend of this.

All in one one, you are stupid, period

187  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Tomorrow you wake up, You got 50000$ in your hand. What will you do? on: August 20, 2023, 04:32:46 PM
Set half aside for something smart.

Blow the other half scuba diving, chasing women and food.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 19, 2023, 08:31:59 PM
Check this out

Over the years I have posted all kinds of thing for sale in the Bay Area for bitcoin. Not one sale. Change to dollars it's gone.

I challenge anyone to buy a used mower or anything off a neighbor, somebody you don't know already. I challenge you to buy groceries or a tank of gas directly with bitcoin... I can with gold or silver.

Comparing investments a to b is dumb. Your portfolio should be a symbiotic blend...

Go check out Ray Dalio and then his all weather fund.

Y'all gonna loose your ass's with a one legged investment scheme. There isn't one example of it in the wild
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 19, 2023, 08:04:32 PM
Bitcoin or Gold ( or silver) argument comparison is STUPID. My apple is better than your oranges!

The correct answer is a balance of both among other things including cash in your portfolio.

All hell breaks loose and you need some gas. I can trade a few silver coins (or cash) for some gas. But I can't even buy gas now with bitcoin. Banking collapse what off ramp are you going to use to get to fiat?

Completely different instruments for different things. F'n noobs
190  Economy / Economics / Re: I dont sell my assets i borrow against them on: August 19, 2023, 02:32:29 PM
OP, you are spot on, most here have no clue.

Additionally when you sell something at a profit you get to pay taxes! yay!

When I borrow against myself I pay NO taxes.... Oh boo  I know.

I  do it against my 401k all the time,  say I want a new truck. Borrow against my 401k, guess where the interest I do pay on it goes? TO ME! win-win.

Down side is it does nothing to build a credit rating. Okay, wait to the end of the year and snag a zero percent auto loan for the Mrs.... boom.
191  Economy / Economics / Re: Were Banks and Governments behind this Dump? on: August 19, 2023, 02:24:43 PM
Aliens did it to manipulate the interstellar currency...

or.

Bitcoin followed the markets down like it ALWAYS does and knee jerks at ANYTHING Musk mutters.

Call me crazy, I think it's the former.

Government (FED) SAID they are going to manipulate the markets! Their is no conspiracy they are trying to bring in inflation. Read the news much?

195  Other / Off-topic / Re: What all men's want most in life on: August 17, 2023, 06:23:52 AM
Depends on if your alpha, bete or sigma male.

I am a  sigma. Quiet lil safe home where I serve a chica like an ATM and treated like a piece furniture isn't me.

Most beta's put the chain of marriage around their necks and call and call it happiness. Fucking misery to me.

I want to do what I want, when I want and how much. That's my happiness.

196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run: Is It Tied to the Next Halving? on: August 16, 2023, 02:07:04 PM
Logic would tell me that there isn't much bitcoin left to mine, what about 2 million last time I checked. So as a supply side it's already there.  So I would expect a slightly muted response over other halving. Fomo leading to a false bull.

I will happily give my BTC and haircut at that time and take peoples money
197  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mega Millions jackpot soars over $1 billion. How would you spend it if you won? on: August 04, 2023, 01:19:04 AM
That's ALLOT of strippers and cocaine! I'd die trying.....
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spending on Harlots/Hook Up Girls Instead of Investing in Bitcoin. on: August 03, 2023, 11:20:44 PM
What I take away is jealousy from the op. Probably can't get the girls with his dashing looks and personality so he hates on the ones that do. Enjoy being a monk fingering your bitcoin, there is more to life than money. No man ever laid on his death bed and said " should done more bitcoin" but I assure you he was thinking about the girl he shoulda.....
199  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you handle pain? on: July 31, 2023, 03:50:54 PM
I am one of many who seems to have chronic pain. I refuse to take painkillers because of what they can do to my body.
I am basically stuck using ice and heat. I don't have a bathtub so I don't have the option to use things like Epsom salt.
My pain is in my lower back, shoulders, and neck.

What do you do to handle pain?

Listen to me. I am an exploration diver and my brother is a SEAL. Myself broke both ankles twice, 3l and 1r knees surgery, broken right hip, 2r shoulder rebuilds and 1 left. I can run 10 miles and swim one before breakfast and still throw weights and ladies on the daily. My brother more or less the same. I am 50 he is 46.

We both live mostly pain free (aside from pain of an activity but who cares).

YOGA YOGA YOGA for the body and mind.

and when you done with yoga do more yoga.

Swimming is also another great activity.

Honestly your pain sounds more like stress than any injury, just say'n
200  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: July 30, 2023, 06:36:51 PM
(US based opinion)

Marriage  / Divorce and children were horrible to my finances. Marriage is of little to no value here and mostly serves the woman as a means. Then you work hard and become boring and she runs off with a Chad or Tyrone and you flip the bill and lose over half your assets. Heck the court can make you pay her atty to sue you!

Don't get married, don't have kids. There is no need on this planet for more people and having kids is just a societal pressure. If you change your mind just pick any single mother with 3 kids from 5 different dads and pay her bills and trash your time off.

Be single, have wonderful girlfriends and when they stall out move on. Travel the world, scuba dive, fly airplanes, ride motorcycles and keep everything you worked for.

You made good points but I think this is very subjective. I know a lot of rich people who are in a good loving marriage and family. I think it is still more on the perspective of an individual. If you can handle your finances well and smartly, having a family should not be a problem. You cannot force people to not get married cause you believe every outcome will be the same.

Admittedly a tad jaded here, I accept that. I know lots of people rich and poor that are in fantastic (seemingly) marriages. Those marriages were conceived 20 -25 or more ago when times were different. The age of the internet has killed it, it's to easy to get attention when you think your not getting any. Women cheat 65% of the time and file for 90% of the divorces (US)
