181  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: July 16, 2015, 06:55:15 PM
Why is it that when I sit out at a mix game...at a table that isn't even full...I get picked up after three minutes, but someone can sit out for going on 20 minutes now at a full OFC game and isn't getting picked up?

if u have an incoming deposit it doesnt kick you off the table

I am not sure how true that is. I don't see it being posted anywhere and haven't heard anyone talk about it. Picking up players off a full table isn't a bad thing as it does unblock seats for players wanting to play,  and it is also not needed for games with still empty seats, A good thing would be to email their support about it . I don't think they are much active here.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does it feel to spend bitcoins and soon after the price goes up? on: July 16, 2015, 05:46:59 PM
25$ for 10000 BTC ? I kick myself even after the price goes up by 10$ when I would have just sold a few BTC's . But lately even I have been trying to avoid feeling bad for things I missed out on. There is nothing gained after regretting actions in the past.
183  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any PVP based on skill games out there? on: July 16, 2015, 05:43:18 PM

Isn't it possible for chess to be run with a captcha system so players can't use bots to play against other players ?

It certainly can but thats not how most of the bots run . People sometimes use simulators or set up a bot and copy the move that the other player has made. The bot makes a countermove and the player simply copies that , thus making good moves most of the times. If its chess for money , I don't think there is a way to avoid bots.
184  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitgold - how legit is it ? on: July 16, 2015, 05:02:19 PM
selling your personal data for 0.25 gr gold or less is a big joke. I wouldn't touch them with a five feet pole
I haven't tested it either but seems for now you just need to verify your phone number and not your ID for receiving the gold .

185  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the dice sites with the lowest house edge? on: July 16, 2015, 04:15:03 PM
In some day i have play to crypto.games.net with 24 hours promo 0% bankroll, in the last month, for 2 day i have play with 0%

If you mean 0% house edge , then its highly unlikely as that would mean casino is relying on pure luck , so they can win or lose just like a gambler would. I am sure they won't want to gamble on that.
186  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the dice sites with the lowest house edge? on: July 16, 2015, 08:03:17 AM
Hi - what are the dice sites that have the lowest house edge. We from Fairlay want to add some dice games to our betting exchange and we basically want to offer the best value available.
Instead of looking at all the sites, you should just look at the major competitor sites as thats where people mostly play on and most of them have a house edge over 0.9% . There are always sites which aren't too big offering lower odds but wouldn't apply to your research .

187  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is Pesobang.com legit??? on: July 16, 2015, 07:57:43 AM
hi
i want to shop somethings with bitcoins and i posted a thread before and a guy paste mee this site and he says that its legit and not scam
https://pesobang.com/
im just want to confirm because i really want to shop somethings with my bitcoins  Undecided
i googled it and i didn't find any review about it
please if u know this site and u shop from it tell me
+idk why i can't registrer
please if u know their contact tell bcs i want contact them about shipping
and thanks  Grin

Hard to say . They do have an ANN thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=871924.20  but not many reviews of successful trades yet. I have seen a lot of other reputed sites which accept requests of an escrow , you could probably request for it by asking them .
188  Economy / Gambling / Re: UK Gambling Commission says UK based sites need a license! on: July 16, 2015, 07:52:18 AM
Wanted to chime in here, Chris Sullivan also sent us the letter on June 15th, 2015. We've replied back asking him to clarify as we do not use any 'financial institutions' to process any UK-based transactions, to which he sent another pdf email with the 'money's worth' response today.

We've emailed him back with our statement that we do not officially service any UK-based residents as our deposits are anonymous and we do not monitor IPs. We have also told him we would consider paying for the license if he accepted BTC, and to please let us know the price of said license as we operate exclusively in bitcoin and do not have sterling for him.

Last time he/his agency took a month to reply. I'll keep you guys posted.

Adam

With them taking a month to reply, doesn't really look like its a serious issue to them . It might just be a warning to atleast have half of the sites stop accepting UK customers which indeed have.

I would wait to see what their reply is first. They act as an authority in many minds and whilst they may not be able to carry out any threats in the bitcoin world, they most probably can in the fiat world. I am keen to see what their response to Adam is. Thanks for asking the question Adam.

Yes, they should definitely wait for the reply. I didn't mean they shouldn't and ignore future threats from those people. Just that most of the other site have given up on this and have accepted to their demands of not accepting UK customers unless they obtain a license , I feel they should have responded with questions instead of just giving up on UK customers.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I go about purchasing a large amount of bitcoins on: July 16, 2015, 06:48:11 AM
Buying $500K from on source would never be recommended however you can use a popular exchange with large volumes  . Another thing you can do is contact a mining operation who usually generate large amounts of bitcoin or people who are early adopters who have large amount and set up a trade with them .
190  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What happened to local bitcoins? on: July 16, 2015, 06:37:47 AM
thank you for the answers, though its strange that preev uses local bitcoins to monitor the price of bitcoin as the price there can really fluctuate, others might be puzzled by that too
I don't think preev uses Localbitcoins as the source to show bitcoin prices by default. It seems to be taking the average but the localbitcoins does not look like being affecting the price of it.
191  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Place where I can buy BTC with debit card or paypal that is safe? on: July 16, 2015, 06:30:25 AM
I almost used a scam site before googling a review and it led me here! Can you guys recommend a good site to buy some bitcoin with a debit card or paypal? Thanks.
A lot of discussion on this on the forum before. For debit cards it depends on what country you are from, you can however use services like Circle . For paypal you can try out Virwox or localbitcoins however the price for buying through paypal is generally higher.
192  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for a "justdice" BTC casino on: July 14, 2015, 12:06:40 PM
Justdice doesnt accept BTC anymore?

Is their a similar casino that allows investing as well as betting?
Sorry for the noob question, there are just so many dice sites and casino now I got tired of looking through each one. If someone was nice enough to help me it would be appreciated
Justdice dosent accept bitcoins anymore, but you can change your bitcoins for clams and invest into justdice, they have only changed the currency, nothing much big happened Smiley

I've never heard of clams, Its a pretty big step for me using bitcoins Tongue

Its really easy to convert BTC to CLAM . Just sign up for a site like bittrex or poloniex which has CLAM trading, and you can convert your BTC to CLAM , and back from CLAM to BTC later . Investing in justdice is safe specially because the owner has been trust worthy all along and they also earn CLAM from staking. You would also earn big amount of CLAM just by being invested there.

There are 3-4 casinos that accept investments. Some good ones are Bitdice , PRC and satoshi dice .
194  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: July 14, 2015, 10:38:40 AM
SWC_poker, any updates yet ? This would actually have been a perfect time to launch the clients specially with the WSOP happening . Was really pumped to play some poker but didn't have a good site to play on.

Same boat here, no one really catering to non-windows poker players at the moment.  There must be tons of us.  I know there aren't a hole lot of GNU/linux people, but i figure there are tons of OSX users and android users.
There are still sites that are offering to Non-Windows OS , but for me I have always played on Seals and Stars , and just like to stick to them. Stars isn't always an option for me as I keep moving out of the country and back every month , and in some places stars can't be used. However it is also only the good one which offers OFC as well , which is another game I like playing.

Had similar problems with wine or any other emulator. They install tons of other packages on mac and slow it down , so only for this it isn't really a good work around.

195  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinRush :: Feel the rush of 0.1% house edge. Provably Fair. on: July 13, 2015, 07:56:46 PM

P.S.  I'm certainly not expecting to get rich off this, but it also costs me 0 to host. But if there's any revenue (which I doubt) I'll use it to give back the community.

Plans for the future:
* Auto-betting
* All-bets and high-roller tab (for now: https://www.moneypot.com/apps/121-bitcoinrush )
* Variable house edge (so if you want to win more, you can at the expense of increasing the house edge).

----

Please note: we have no affiliation with bitcoinrush.io or [Suspicious link removed]

Just a suggestion , I see too many dice sites online and not many get a lot of traffic . Instead of setting up the dice site on this URL , it would probably generate you more revenue to sell it to bitcoinrush.io and restart the dice site on another URL . The theme is definitely a little different than the standard coindice copies, so you might actually be able to get some traffic too.
196  Economy / Gambling / Re: What percent of internet Bitcoin poker is Luck vs Skill? on: July 13, 2015, 07:52:29 PM
Definitely agree with the Live vs Online Poker scene . I have played both Live and online extensively . Even though my online sessions have been profitable so far , but the live have been more profitable than online. Online is usually supposed to get you to play more hands in a given time so actually if you are playing the same game both online and live and do well,  then your online profit should be much more than live. But I definitely find live more easy to win more.
Would also like to add , that I have a personal poker player friend who has been constantly playing live and both online, even he has trouble winning online . However there are also people who have adapted to online play and are able to do good too .

198  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HotelGo24.com: Book a hotel and get Bitcoin cash back. on: July 13, 2015, 07:45:20 PM
Can you positively confirm that it is owned by that company ? Looks like a nice site and the idea of cash back definitely seems nice. But would be nice to know who is behind the company.

We are legally operating company, registered and having legal seat in Poland. All information about us are available at our website: https://www.hotelgo24.com/terms. You can contact us at any time.

Thank you @pawel7777 for sharing the link to National Court Register Smiley We appreciate your support.

HotelGo24.com is a fresh project, still under development. That's way there not many information about us. We hope it will change soon Smiley.

There is an article about us at bitcoin.pl (the most important Bitcoin news website). Pleas, take a look (it's in Polish by it think you could use the translator): http://bitcoin.pl/wiadomosci/startupy/946-hotelgo24-com-ciekawa-propozycja-na-wakacje

Sorry just revisited. Thanks for clarifying that part. Definitely looks like a great service for anyone familiar with bitcoin and booking himself a hotel anywhere.

200  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Beamer 2015 WSOP World Series of Poker Sponsorship‏ on: July 11, 2015, 07:08:03 PM
Oy, wish I saw this before it started.

In general with poker staking if you are getting 1% of the payouts you should pay around 1% of the buy in. Guy hasn't cashed live since 06 and was looking for people to give him a 55% freeroll in the the main event.

The poker players that get to keep 50% of the profits and put up no money are usually on long term deals that have a better chance of success and have to pay back the makeup for all the tournaments they didn't cash in.

Have to agree with that. The markup was huge specially with no cashes since 2006 specially if you are active in the WSOP circuit or not active for a long time.
