181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please share your opinions about the Bitgert. on: April 04, 2022, 01:46:05 PM
Believe it or not, every new meme coins want shiba inu type of success and they use such tricks like this to fool new investors, no whales are buying bitgert but bigert indeed has one or two utility that shiba inu don't have, they should walk their way to stardom not try to bring another project down.
182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet advice on: April 04, 2022, 01:43:17 PM
Buy a reputable hardware wallet, preferably from the original source(not on Amazon, eBay, etc).

Ledger: https://ledger.com/
Trezor: https://trezor.io/
So the rumours are real? I heard buying a hardware wallet from eBay is risky even if it's brand new, scammers might have laid some malware intact in the new wallet waiting for you to make first deposits, I think crypto needs a new solution for more tighten secured way to use wallets to store assets.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoins with a good potential. on: April 01, 2022, 06:06:01 PM
BitTorrent, OpenDao, XEC ( former Bitcoin ABC ), UFO gaming, the list goes on and on but do make sure you do some research on these projects first before buying any, you are on your own if you lose money so invest only what you can afford to lose.
184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are growing in numbers every day on Twitter, be careful out there on: April 01, 2022, 06:02:20 PM
Newbies are finding easy ways to earn crypto I'm sure some will still fall for this old trick, some people still think that you can earn money or more coins through cloud mining I mean when was the last time that cloud mining really become profitable? Maybe 2016-2017 I guess, when orbot, genesis mining are still up and running, any cloud mining today is a scam, none of them owned any asic farm.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good alts under 0.50$ for long term hold on: March 31, 2022, 01:20:48 PM
Thanks for the reply, CoinEX CET token have been performing very well for some time now, watching the chart alone looks bullish always but the possible thoughts of bear market is what's holding me back, maybe I will get these coins for a cheaper rate? I will look into BSW right away.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Good alts under 0.50$ for long term hold on: March 31, 2022, 12:47:37 PM

187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm looking for a CPU coin on: March 30, 2022, 12:47:57 PM
Forget CPU mining since you have only one Ryzen CPU and its not a wise idea to go out and buy an extra CPU for mining,  its better to put money on graphic cards you will get better returns with GPU mining than CPU.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What can 3050 do? on: March 30, 2022, 12:36:15 PM
3050 RTX sucks for crypto mining, as new as the card is it can't stand the performance of old Polaris cards when mining, even the gtx 1060 6GB that no one wants this day are better by far.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gpu advice on: March 29, 2022, 03:07:31 PM
Thanks to everyone for the valuable advice in the end I opted for now on 2 1650 are 75 watts without additional power i know they are not very powerful on hash rate but in the future with a little more availability i will buy better cards
You should have gotten gtx1650 super instead, they have a better hashrate than the normal 1650, anyway I'm glad you make your choice yourself, happy mining.
190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad way of storing keys?/ on: March 29, 2022, 02:57:19 PM
HDD And other PC components always have  a life span imagine you keep your recovery seed on this memory and after 10 years the memory isn't working again, I don't buy the idea of storing keys on HDD and SSD it's not safe for long term.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: It doesn't look like GPU will be cheaper unless crypto market dumps on: March 28, 2022, 05:27:18 AM
GPU price goes back up in two days interval, I think the only reason why GPU price can dump is if the crypto market crash one way or the other, three days ago on aliexpress I saw 1660supers at 430$ and I was talking to the store owner thinking about buying 6 of the cards but today the price is at 450$ again, are GPU sellers also watching the mining profitability or what?.

This doesn’t mean much. Prices on aliexpress change all the time. I think it’s the owner competing against one another or they are ramping up the price to later discount it and show that it’s on sale. I wouldn’t look too much into this. Wait a few more days and price will probably come back down.

Regarding GPU prices coming down? Well if the merge for ETH happens in June and it’s confirmed then it means that miners will be dumping GPUs since there is nothing else to mine really.

However this won’t happen until we get a set fork date and fork block. Maybe in 2 months time we will get provided this.

Or in 2 months we ge a delay.

Or better yet.

We go pos for a few weeks and go back to a new al-gore-rhythm  and mr v explains that the pos deception was a move to crush asics and 70% of the network was asics and by pretending to go pos it crushed asics. and those that held the cards and mined will score bigly beyond their wildest dreams.

And bitmain and innosilicon  get crushed with their shit asics.  Why not?

Here is some logic.

a true and full switch to pos hurts intel, amd, nvidia, bitmain, innosilicon.

while a fake out move to pos and back to a different pow hurts bitmain , innosilicon.

Mr v explains that this was all necessary to truly prevent asics from killing off eth.

Seems to me my idea is very possible. Just as possible as a full switch to pos.  MR V is a slick dude.  But Pissing off AMD , Nvidia , Intel , Bitmain and Innosilicon is not so smart.

One can dream.  Grin
It's like you read my mind, I still don't believe that ETH is going PoS when they know how important PoW algorithm is for ETH, its like something is going on within ETH cave lol but we will find out in no time, June is not so far away anyways.
192  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This could be a dumb question pls go easy on me on: March 28, 2022, 05:24:57 AM
That's why open-source wallets are called Open Source, they are 100% transparent but that doesn't mean they can't be hacked or your funds can't be stolen if not handled with care, open source devs can't see what your wallet holds they will be nailed in no time if such happened, unlike closed source wallet that keeps every thing private.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment: 10.000 € - best performing coins during next 12 months on: March 27, 2022, 02:40:01 PM
Why just two? You have 10000 euro which is enough to invest in up to 10 different projects, that's still 1000 euro each I can use that money on 20/different projects, all I can say is this isn't bear market yet, know that you are buying at a high price.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community means everything on: March 27, 2022, 02:26:03 PM
If the project failed to deliver what the community likes and want it's over, I think a project use case and up to date development is what should come first, this is what the community wants and need before fully supporting the project.
195  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't do the following with your hot wallets on: March 25, 2022, 03:26:11 PM
Learn how to avoid these scams this is the way to be two steps ahead of such schemes, how many wallets are you going to create just for participating airdrops?? If you know where are the problem is coming from you can easily fix it.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this true? on: March 25, 2022, 03:22:00 PM
In this case not all coins that came into the market in bear market are good, some will die even before another bull season begins, you need to do good research on such projects before investing money in them.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The fate of crypto mining on: March 24, 2022, 02:07:21 PM
In the end it all depends on how we look at mining, the most important thing is to never give up and continue mining even in very difficult situations, that's the key to success.

As an experienced miner who has been in this game since 2013, the key to success is not buying equipment for bloated prices, especially when we know a crash could happen in 4 months. I'm going to sell all 3 of my rigs in May/June, then buy them back at a fraction of the price around August. We can't expect another PoS delay as of now.

The miners who will win are those that build rigs when the market is in a panic. Those who scooped up RX 570's for $90 each in late 2018 and are selling them now made a killing. If the video cards are cheap, the lower profit doesn't matter.

Over the past 8 years, the payback period on a video card has almost always stayed in the 300 - 800 day range. This is good enough for me, especially since I'll be getting cheap power soon and I can lower my taxes by building these rigs.
You have my respect mate, how about someone who has made 80% of their invested money back already? Does it make sense to sell their GPU right now or keep mining through the bear market?
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What can 2500$ do in 2022 on: March 24, 2022, 01:55:51 PM
Go with the cheapest build possible, even gtx1060 6GB build would do because the way things are going now mining profitability will decrease a lot so to get by you need a higher hash rate, 120$ per rx580 graphic cards is still coming, imagine how many rx580 you will get with 2500$.
199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign earnings and monthly income. on: March 23, 2022, 04:55:34 AM
I prefer projects that the BM in charge holds the tokens ( Ecsrow ) this gives me peace of mind to keep promoting the project, every other reasons comes later but payment assurance is the first.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Auto switching on profitability on: March 23, 2022, 04:33:54 AM
Is there any Linux based mining OS that can do auto switching for the most profitable coins like what Nicehash have been doing for a very long time? It can't be that only Nicehash have this feature.
