Stop selling your coins for such ridiculously low prices!

A whale has dumped...so what.

Stop being sheep and keep hold of you coins!
GAME OVErR
wake up

Every coin dumps in the early days DRK, BC, XC, CLOAK. The coins with real innovation rise top the top. Pretty much not possible to get a 3 week old coin with more innovation then SDC. Time will let the great coins rise to the top. As an investor I am very comfortable with price fluctuations in a coin that delivers more than promises.

Manonthemoon, good to see you're still alive and kicking. Welcome to SDC, this party is just getting started.

Thanks for the warm welcome, friend.

Haha, staying optimistic I see. This "party" is more like:

Np Manonthemoon. Healthy criticism is always welcome; However, I've done my research on this one, like I always do. I invest on Market Impact, Team and Delivery. Regardless of any preconceived notions any new investors might have with this coin, it has all of the above. It's a winner. The dev on this project is one of the most capable in the crypto space - he's knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I spoke with him for over 2 hours on IRC and I can assure anyone that he is in the top 1% of lead devs in crypto. If you don't believe me feel free to join IRC and shoot any questions or concerns his way. His current contribution to stealth addresses and future implementation of zk-SNARKs are both major milestones for crypto. Also note that he is very close to releasing the zk-SNARKs implementation which will be a first for crypto. Anoncoin and Zerocoin devs have been working on this since December. The mobile staking wallet will also be a first for crypto. These are all indicators of success, not failure. Shadow has a technical project lead with a team that delivers on its promises. Any smart investor will do their research and quickly realize this is one of the most undervalued plays in the altcoin space at the moment.

Also note that there has been zero press coverage or marketing for this product.

Note to investors:
Please do your research before you invest in any crypto. Mindless speculation instead of research will result in profit loss.

Note to critics:
Please state your motives for directing hate and aggression to this project. The idea behind altcoins is to further progress the underlying crypto technology through contributions of code. I don't understand why any crypto enthusiast would put the efforts into discrediting developers efforts towards the progression of cryptocurrency. Everyone in crypto benefits from contributions made by developers like Ryno.

So that leaves one question: Is Chase bank paying you to slow the progression of crypto?

Great summary!

Look at some of the top 5 wallets (other than the #1 richest)
http://explorer.shadowcoin.co/address/SiJmAAM2Ebb18bn9wPbp5V4CaSnGJ47bAZ
notice the attempted double spend?

lots of the other ones aren't exchange wallets, they only have 2-3 transactions and hundreds of thousands of coins.
cool...cant beat the network...well done devs!

Look again dude...there is no parabolic rise there in that chart. This is called a BASE for the run up...lol.

You guys either did not see the post, can't comprehend what you read, or are just trolling from other coins.

Introducing: ShadowSend

Hey guys,

I am pleased to announce that we have successfully implemented Anonymous Stealth Addresses into our upcoming wallet release. The stealth system was first described by Peter Todd for use with Bitcoin but to our knowledge, we have developed the first open source C++ implementation of Anonymous Stealth Addresses using OpenSSL.

A version of stealth addresses has been implemented by SX and DarkWallet, but our implementation has been developed completely independent of either project. We have developed Dual-Key Stealth Addresses, which allow transactions to be received even while the wallet is closed, and for security, the coins will not be spendable until the wallet is unlocked. Our stealth solution has been developed for ShadowCoin but we believe that our implementation is the best currently available and will be used for bitcoin in the near future.

This week we will be releasing ShadowSend, a capable, efficient and decentralized anonymous wallet solution that does not rely on coinjoin or any centralized node structure. This wallet will allow transactions to remain anonymous while the stealth address system is used.

ShadowSend's stealth addresses will soon be layered with zk-snarks to further increase security and privacy of the anonymous solution, this will be the first system of its kind available in bitcoin or altcoins.  Stay tuned for more information in the days to follow.

The white paper for stealth addresses has existed since January, for more information on the significance of stealth addresses, please check the links listed below.

no idea why a coin with 400 BTC vol has such low thread activities...
Check IRC...all the action is in IRC like 100+ people there. This forum is the den of FUDsters.

This is not the same...you can not post one address and have money sent to it. <snip>

Did I say "I can post one address and send money to it and it is the same as stealth?" no .. I said "I can easily do that myself without a stealth address i.e. create a new address and send money to that. (yes I know the benefits of stealth that it automates a new public address everytime but I am trying to understand how it provides anon"

Stealth hides the amount of money any person (address) has received.

No it does not .... all stealth does it provide "a new address" to the receiver (if I really care I can check the block chain and tell you which address those funds arrived in if I know 1. the sender or 2. denomination) ... in the block chain funds still move "visibly" via none-stealth public addresses which if you happen to spend makes it linkable...

Dont troll with a "sr." account...its not becoming.

Are you for real? I will wait for someone who understand what they are talking about to respond to me. Dev I would appreciate your thoughts and keep up the good work.

You can not tell how much money a receiver received at a public wallet address. Like i said...Dont troll with a "sr." account...its not becoming.

Dude you should do about 30 seconds of research and figure out who you are insulting before you insult them. You are making a fool of yourself.
Are you going to spend all day FUDing this forum like you did yesterday? Why are you posting here?

Narrations sent in transactions are AWESOME!

"paid for website"
"Acc#123456"
"From BoB to Alice (thx for last night)"

Ok the last message was too long but you get the idea...

This coin is too cool...little improvements everywhere along with the HUGE innovations.

rynomster thanks for dropping me the PM and confirming there is no magic voodoo hiding funds like someone here thinks!
I am looking forward to seeing this develop, good honest dev just wish people would stop spreading **** about how it works.

"how does it work"...

Can someone explain to me how Stealth Address provide Anon?

I can get 1000's of transactions from different sources but no one can see or tell that i have received any coins. This works beautifully. Its just as fast as a normal transaction!

Sorry to ask but why the hell is building Darkcoin 6 months on that feature ? Or better ask what is the difference between this and Darkcoins Annon function RC4.   Please no fud or something just want to understand the difference. I tested Shadow myself and I couldnt trace so amazing!

Dark was/is working on coinjoin system...some say it is not worth working on as coinjoin has been proven to not be anonymous and some like it. ShadowCoin Stealth will be used in conjunction with zk-snarks to provide an end-all anonymity solution.

I understand how stealth addresses work and the original concept behind it and the benefits but I can easily do that myself without a stealth address i.e. create a new address and send money to that. (yes I know the benefits of stealth that it automates a new public address everytime but I am trying to understand how it provides anon).
I am specificly(sp) asking how it helps with Anon as the TXs input and outputs are linked.

Good work devs for implementing stealth addresses.

The retard trying to send the price down just isn't going to win  Grin

I noticed that too...the dumpers are prob gone now. How could you let this coin go at these prices?
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SDC] ShadowCoin | PoS with PoW distribution | ShadowChat P2P EM System on: August 06, 2014, 10:48:09 PM
Whether name dropping Peter Todd is right or wrong, or whether Shadowsend improves on anonymity or not, it doesn't matter, history for the last 3 months has proven everyone will hype it up for a few days, dump it, and move on to the next anon coin named Darkercoin, Shadecoin, Muddlecoin or Dark Sewer coin or whatever. The fact Vertcoin implemented stealth addresses and was snoozed on proves the whole thing is about manipulation behind the scenes because it wasn't "new" or "sexy" enough.

It is a rinse and repeat cycle, most people here do not really want anon because plenty of solutions offered in the past work as intended.

Anyway good job to the dev if he delivers something new tomorrow but I am afraid the work will all be for naught.

Did Vertcoin improve upon the existing SA technology or just implement it in it's existing form? Shadowcoin is creating a new protocol by improving upon the existing SA technology and combining it with one of the prime elements in the zerocash scheme - zk-SNARKs(https://eprint.iacr.org/2013/507.pdf). Both implementations creates an entirely new protocol (ShadowSend) and justifies a leading position in the market. AFAIK this is the first implementation of zk-SNARKs outside of the Zerocash project which still hasn't launched..

I'd have to disagree with you on your assessment of the anon crypto market. The only anon system being widely used in commerce is coinjoin and according to Kristov Atlas's research it offers a laughable level of privacy(http://www.coinjoinsudoku.com/). Financial privacy is one of the missing elements in the current financial industry both in crypto and fiat. The cheapest Swiss bank account costs $790,000USD to open.. plus you still won't get a higher level of privacy if you aren't a Swiss national and the same applies to Austrian accounts. If you think anon is a gimmick try selling that argument to the people saving millions a year on their taxes by using offshore Caymans/Swiss/Austrian accounts..

People who get in the ground floor or early levels of investment will go on to trade with the big players when the technology finds it's product/market-fit. The people that cash out early will stay in the lower investment bracket looking for quick pumps and dumps.
This could not have been said better...thanks!

There is no question if giving credit to the individual who came up with the idea is right or wrong. It is the only ethical way to proceed. There is just a bunch of immature posters with crypto-envy trying to cause trouble. Ask yourself this: why do they post here?
