181  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: August 27, 2017, 08:33:22 PM
Bitcoin has power because the financial industry is failing, or the systematic one we have had and instead virtual currency is arising and bound to take it over. I give it one century and the face of money as we know it will be changed.

The financial industry is not failing now. It has failed multiple times already, the most recent instance being in 2008.
That is when Bitcoin was born. Today it has grown to challenge the very same financial system.

Another win all because of Dhoni and Rohit. I felt that Rohit too deserved to win the MOM as it was only because of his and Dhoni's partnership that they won this match else they were 64 for 4 earlier. This would have been an easy match to play but the batsmen are failing many times and most are not consistent with their game, especially Virat. Hope that their next match can be a better game and not dependent on 1-2 players.
India is having luck, so they are winning all matches. The last match also Dhoni stand for a long time and made 100+ runs partnership with 8th batsman and made India to won that match. Today also he played responsible innings and made Ndia win this game by 6 wickets. The 1st 4 wickets lost very quickly but after that Dhoni played mature innings and gave good support to Sharma. Congrats India.

It is not luck. Sri Lanka are not playing good cricket, at least in this match. A total of 217 is not going to challenge this Indian batting line up. And with Rohit Sharma in form, the chase was a cake walk.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best method to store gold/silver/precious metals/jewels/etc on: August 27, 2017, 11:59:46 AM
If you don't have problems with trusting your bank, there probably will be a way to buy gold electronically. You get the benefits of price rise and don't have the hassles of ensuring its safety. That is probably your best bet.

Australia are 18/3 at Stumps at the end of day 1. Although they managed to get Bangladesh out cheaply for 260 runs, they still have to make sure that they overtake Bangladesh's total and post a lead. You can't do that if you lose early wickets.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 21, 2017, 08:44:58 PM
No Surprises in the couple of past days, England and India have won their respective matches as they were expected too. WI had not a single idea how the pitch was behaving. As for Srilanka, total disappointment. They had a wonderful start but lost their way in the middle. Srilanka are playing like Pakistan used to play, Collapsing all of a sudden, They did collapse in the Champions trophy too. I think both England and India will whitewash their opponents in this series. England for sure, Srilanka may win a game by chance. But the series result is clear. Its a one way road from here.

The West Indies collapse was beyond reason. The West Indies has decided to play Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels in the ODIs. I suspect their decision might have been prompted by the abysmal performance of the West Indies team. Nobody gains if the West Indies keeps losing.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Statistics of crypto currency? on: August 21, 2017, 08:38:22 PM
Do you know the statistics of crypto currencies? The rise and fall of its value?
How long it will go up? And when can we say that it's the right time to dump the crypto coins?
Do you have analysis reports you can share with me?

Even for equity markets for which people have spent millions of hours researching, nobody can say with certainty. All reports are preceded by the disclaimer "Past Performance does not guarantee future returns". So trying to time the crypto market is asking for too much.
187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Crash?? on: August 21, 2017, 08:36:21 PM
These all are just rumors to make people stop believing in bitcoin. Just see the reaction of newbies and you will understand the effect of such rumors in this forum or in real world. There are always people who panic after hearing such news (even if they are not true) and they spread this news all around, and as it is said, "A lie said a lot, becomes a truth." which means if everyone or maybe a lot of people start believing in this, it will surely affect the price of bitcoin.

Forget the rumours about Bitcoin going to crash, the mainstream media is falling over each other to predict higher and higher prices of Bitcoin. Some are going as far as to project 6 digit figures. While you have doomsday scenarios on one hand, you also have very bullish predictions.
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: $100K in 2021? on: August 20, 2017, 05:18:57 PM
Let's see we're over $4k now. Lets just say it doesn't go up much the whole rest of this year and we only hit $5000 this year.
A conservative bet for bitcoin is to double each year until it gets close to mass market, mass market will likely be 6 figures. That means $10k 2018, $20k 2019, $40k 2020, $80k 2021, >$100k 2022. So yeah it is definitely possible to see $100k in 2021.
If as your said, in future every year Bitcoin will growth x2 old price in last year. And final it will stable in 2022, is right? But you should think again about the period growth from 2015 until to this year Wink.

I don't find these numbers realistic, especially $100.000 number. This means 50 times multiplication with respect to now. We can see prices around $15.000, yet not much higher ones. There will be a saturation in the market.

He is talking about 2021, which is 4 years away. That will involve one halving of the block reward in 2020 as well. We all know what happened after the last block reward halving. We just need one good rally for Bitcoin to rise 10x. So 100,000 definitely is not impossible.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 20, 2017, 05:01:34 PM
Srilanka is playing some really good cricket and it was kind of expected, they are hurting from the test series and India bowlers are not their prime time one, barring one or two. So it's kind of interesting to see if they will scored 300 plus and team India will be able to chase it down. The main focus would be on Kohli and Dhoni, both have not performed that we'll. While no one can touch Kohli, Dhoni is put on the watch list perform or perish. Let's see what happens now. India or Lanka what are you playing on
Which Srilankan team you are talking about, they just got white washed in their home turf by India and they are struggling for a long time now after the retirement of Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene they could not find a good replacement and it is hard for them to find a solid performance for those two world class performers. India will win the ongoing match with ease as they are chasing a very low total.

Sri Lanka lost the match once they failed to post a strong total. 216 was never going to challenge India. The total was below par, considering that Sri Lanka started promisingly. India chased down the total in just 28 overs, with Dhawan scoring a whirlwind century.
190  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: August 20, 2017, 09:39:27 AM
According to my friend preev.com, as of press time, the value of Bitcoin is standing at $2,351. Though I would say that this still considered as a feat, some are worried because it almost reached $2,800 again after the correction that happened days ago.

I have read that the decline can partly be contributed to newcomers especially neophyte traders who still have to be well-versed on the market...and can easily be ignited to do panic selling once they can fell that anything can be wrong.

Against this backdrop...are you holding on to your Bitcoin or transferring it into another digital currency?
Bitcoin's price at this moment is high. The fork happened last month of August resulted to continues increase on its demand and price. Those who sold their Bitcoin during the dumps lost the opportunity to earn on this kind of moment. So it is better to hold our Bitcoin even if there's a backdrop because we can always expect that it will eventually increase after a short period of time due to high public and market demand.

People who sold last month before the fork must be kicking themselves. In the end, people who had strong stomachs have been rewarded. Weak hands are shaken out every once in a while. Holding for the long term is a good strategy.
191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 20, 2017, 09:35:20 AM
First, one day match between SL and India going to play today in SL. SL did a very poor performance in entire test series and let's see whether they will do any magic in one-day matches. I believe today it will be an easy win for the Indian team. Many people may bet on India but if some how SL upset then bookies will make tonnes of money. Remember to bet always small amount in any single match.

Sri Lanka have started of well in this ODI. They are going at the rate of almost 6 an over and they haven't lost a wicket yet.
They need to put up a strong score to challenge India in this match.
192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin core and altcoins get dump Bitcoin Cash pumping. on: August 19, 2017, 09:21:02 PM
I know if you are following the activities of cryptocurrency price's actions. Bitcoin is dropping in market capitalization including most of the popular altcoins but bitcoin Cash is getting pumping. Since yesterday afternoon the coin has been pump from $303 to $1000 this morning. I also believe that very soon bitcoin Cash will get dump for others coins!  I think the force now is between bitcoin Cash and others coins including bitcoin.

You should just look at BTC + BCH. The price has continued to increase and increase.
For people who are holding coins on both branches, it doesn't matter if there is some transfer of value.
193  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: August 19, 2017, 09:18:59 PM
Considering people around me, I agree on that. Most people don't even know it. And I'm working in the technology world, computer engineer. A lot of curious people but not knowing what is that actually.

It is strange that people in the technology world are not that aware of Bitcoin. It is maybe because they work in silos. Otherwise people would have come across Bitcoin one way or another.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 19, 2017, 09:14:21 PM
Very poor performance from WI. Did not expect them to get out at just 168 runs in the first innings and now again in the second innings, they are seem to lose by a margin of runs plus an innings. England played smartly by first declaring at a score of 518 and then letting WI play. The game will be over by tomorrow.

It didn't take that long. England have taken 19 wickets in a single day to win the match in 3 days. Nobody would have predicted West Indies would have lost by such a big margin.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: BCC more profitable to mine on: August 18, 2017, 08:19:21 PM
but you still need a large investment in ASICs for mining, a cheap electricity, a place to run a mining farm or at least a couple of these to produce enough hashrate and the willingness to take the risk of doing it because you can not spend a coinbase transaction (the mining reward) right away. it needs to mature and price of BCC is very unstable.

The volatility in price is a given. Even the price of BTC has fluctuated a lot, so I wouldn't put that down as a disadvantage for BCH.
Even if they can't spend the mining reward right away, they will just have to wait around for the right moment.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 18, 2017, 08:09:15 PM
Tomorrow's first session will be crucial for WI, if they bat it out and get to 350 at the end of the day with 2-3 wickets down the game will get interesting for sure, they do have the batsmen to do this, but the temperament is a issue. We might have an interesting match on our hands. All is dependent on the tomorrow's first session. WI may get a chance a draw this match due to bad weather. Anyway fingers crossed.

West Indies are already on the back foot, having lost a wicket and looking at a huge England first innings score. England have 3 days to take 19 West Indies wickets and they should be the favourites from here.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: August 16, 2017, 08:51:47 PM
bitcoin is a decentralized currency that's why its not stable bitcoin is the most outrageous currency today in bitcoin you can send money all over the net anonymously , bitcoin also promote it's advantages with the use of sending money with a lowcost even it's from another country. bitcoin is accountable like you can put a money from it and make it grow without using it.

I'm assuming that with "bitcoin is not stable", you meant the price because if you meant the network, then that's just so wrong.

I don't think there's a correlation with a currency having a decentralized network and the price being stable. First let us discuss what does "decentralized" actually means. It means that the network is just supported by one node. There are multiple nodes out there. Imagine an octopus that have a lot of tentacles. It's hard to take down that octopus because it have thousands of tentacles unlike when an octopus only have 1 tentacle. Bitcoin doesn't have a central network is all I'm saying. People around the world are all contributing on supporting the network by keeping the network secure by mining.

Now, did it mention the price at all? Decentralization is all about the network. The price of bitcoin depends solely on the buy and sell demand. If people are buying bitcoins, then the price is going up. If people are selling bitcoins, then the price will go down. As simple as that. The price is a different story from the network.

This is true. As you've discussed the difference between the trends of price to decentralization of network ( where people always think the same ). They have both factors on prices but still the highest factor is the law of supply and demand, nothing more nothing less. It is said that in able to be on par on the supply of gold, bitcoin must have a price of 500 thousand dollars which this is very big amount because as we can see :
gold= countries reserve and these reserves is very important and some are thinking that BTC might be the next world reserve and the price again as we have discussed earlier is because of the supply and demand of these mediums.

That is a big difference. Having the confidence of various governments (as a reserve currency) gives gold an advantage, where overall value is concerned. It will take a long time before Bitcoin can even come close.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 16, 2017, 08:48:51 PM
Ireland is so confident about their win that they declared after 477 runs. I feel they should have waited till atleast 50 more runs as NL are also playing well. They are at 82 for 2 and though two players got out for cheap, Braak and Coopers are playing well and have handled the match. Still they trail by 395 runs and 3 more days left to go.

Ireland does seem to have gotten Netherlands into some sort of trouble. Netherlands are 140/5, with half their top team back in the pavilion. They have to play really well to save this match.
199  Economy / Economics / Re: Factors That Make One Cryptocurrency Worth More Than Another on: August 16, 2017, 08:41:41 PM
You forgot one of the most important ones, the developers, if they are willing to show their faces and true identities and put their reputation at risk then it is more likely they are going to try to make the project a success than if the devs are people that no one knows.

This part was not there at the beginning after all Satoshi didn't have to show himself to make bitcoin a success but because of the way people who lack morals have infested the whole crypto-space, its not only now that its required but its the key and not only for the developers but equally for the entire team but that is still not the only overriding factor because they may show their face and still scam.  The success is a workable project and a sincere team and that's a key feature of a successful project.
In a perfect world that would not be needed and we could trust in the developers of the coin without knowing who they are but with so many scams around the forum then the only solution is to know the developers and make a research on them, obviously satoshi was an exception to all of this.

Knowing the developers obviously helps build confidence in the coin. But sometimes, the idea speaks for itself. Moreover, there are governments which might not take too kindly to developers who advocate currency with anonymous features. So the developers may choose to stay anonymous / pseudonymous.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next week, is that the last chance? on: August 16, 2017, 08:39:34 PM
You were right about it july was surely the last chance only for bitcoin for alts the nightmare still continues and it might not stop. However if you did notice the price of btc was low at around $3k but suddenly rose to 4k in a blink of a day the reason for this could have been russia offering mining services. I have a feeling that the russians or the russia government has made huge investments in btc because till now we haven't noticed any major dump unlike how it happened in the past.

The nightmare for alts was bound to happen once Bitcoin started dealing with its problem. However, we are not out of the woods yet. If there is talk about a hard fork and scaling is still an issue, alts can rise again.
