Yobit didn't say it explicitly, but it's clear that they won't list XCN.
Luckly, we can have our 0.1 BTC back.
What to do with it?

1) buy XCN and put into the fund; price rises
2) keep for future exchange listings, or any other service we may need

I'd say 1).

Please guys make your choice. Currently 1 for 1 and 1 for 2.

AND

please also speak about how to deal with EP amounts.

1) add fields on rpc responses, autodetect on rpc requests
2) add config option and/or commandline option to switch from EP to DP (classic bitcoin amounts)

Thanks!

I would add some low ball bids to novaexchange. About EP, whatever makes it easier for exchanges to add it and doesn't brake anything, is that even possible haha?

It might be worth it to ask Kucoin exchange if they would add xcn. I mean, they are going to list bbr...

Never heard of this exchange before, is it good? Where from?

It's new for me too, looks like they a trying to build some kind of multilingual exchange (including china, russia and tons of others) with fiat trading pairs too.

What really caught my eye was that bbr, it's in a way quite similar project to xcn, they lost their last exchange when bittrex kicked them out.

also I believe 295x2 could give upto 60Mh/s after some modding right?

You only need to move afterburner core clock slider to the right and they do 60MH, no need for mods.

Strap modding only helps to boost equihash and cryptonight, they are not memory limited in dagger. Although their bios contains timings for various memory types I have seen them only with Hynix bfr memory.

With some heavier oc they do 65MH on dagger but there's no point in doing that when they do an easy 55MH undervolted+underclocked, right now 10MH pays you only $0.5/ day.

If you push them (heavy oc, dualmining, some algos) you are going to have two problems, heat and pcie power connectors. 295x2 starts to throttle at 75 degrees and default cooler can't keep it below that limit without undervolting. Also pulling 500-600 watts from a single psu connector is too much, connectors and cables start to melt so you need to use two connectors at psu per one card. So in theory to run nine cards unleashed one would need a psu with 18 pcie connectors haha!

But with current low mining profits there is no reason to push them, after some tuning they are somwhere in 250-400 watts per card area, temps are no issue and one can use only single 8+8pin cable per card.

295x2 has two hawaii gpu's with 4gb memory each.

Never tried more than three cards (6 gpu's) in one rig.

The blockchain is not yet opened, but the balance of each account is known on the exchanges since the fork have already happened.

Bitfinex:

"Once all negative balances have been settled, we may, at our sole and absolute discretion, delist BTG and make withdrawals only available for a limited time. While we want to make such forks available to our customers, our limited and temporary support for them is not and should not be construed as support for any particular project."
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: October 24, 2017, 05:17:50 PM
It's trading currently $100-110 @ bitfinex

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/#markets

And $378 at yobit. Did bitfinex hand out the free bitcoin gold already to the bitcoin wallet holders?

How can you hand out something that doesn't exist yet? Bitfinex, the owner of the worlds biggest BTC wallet, has done miracles before though.

edit: It's impossible to send futures to another trading platform.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: October 24, 2017, 05:01:16 PM
The price is now down to $278

It's trading currently $100-110 @ bitfinex

https://cryptowat.ch/bitfinex/btgusd

BTC, BCU, BCH, BT1, BTG, BT2, BCC also there...

True, gpu mining to be more profitable we need more gpu mineable (bit)coins, BCH is looking really good right now but it's only for ASIC's sadly.

What you just said is right. A team is needed, not just myself :-)
The past months I've done bug fixing, promotion, support...
What if someone starts to leverage me at least of promotion, and maybe exchanges? So I can focus on development?

pallas you need to relax, no need to worry about those exchanges or promotions. Buy support will be there when the time is right, it just needs this normal cryptocycle to mature.

190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpu bubble well and truly bursting on: October 20, 2017, 08:42:39 PM
People tend to think only as far as they can taste, smell or see sometimes... and when its see; its only usually something right in front of em, or else they are flat out blind to it.

This. No matter how much you tell them numbers they just don't get it, printing money is just so awesome.

GPU bubble will burst but not this weekend, don't know about next week though.

edit: but this virablog or whatever post was just full of shit.

Sorry for OT but did you hacked guys change your passwords after 2015?

i don`t know about that time, was some problem with password in 2015?

There was a leak, they suggested everyone change their password and not use the old password anywhere else. Usual stuff when using weak cyphers and weak passwords.

Thanks for the info Pallas!

I just found out that my friend _javi_ account was stolen also, they change the email address so you cannot longer recover it.

I was suggested that post my BTC address so in case of my account being stolen i can digitally sign with it, good idea, so here it goes.

1vTGnFgaM2WJjswwmbj6N2AQBWcHfimSc

I think it is a good idea, but dunno if admins have the time to check every single stolen account, hope they can Sad

indkt.

well, makes sense, but the hacker can still edit your messages and put their address in there, just like with the signature

195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SGMiner not taking full advantage of my GPU on: October 18, 2017, 06:15:36 PM
changing the memclock to 1250 and the gpu clock to 1000, but either it says failed, or drivers shows success but check values below and they didn't change from 300MHZ Engine Clock, 150 MHZ Mem clock.

I've seen this kind of behavior with 17. series drivers, for tahiti/hawaii + windows I'm using 16.11.5. Not sure if it helps in your case but still worth a try.

198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question for the old miners regarding the period before ETH. on: October 18, 2017, 10:23:28 AM
From summer of 2014 to summer 2015 you needed nvidia or private amd miner to be profitable.

I sold most of my amd's to buy nvidia after scrypt gpu mining was done, the rest went to gather dust for more than one year. ETH launch was 8/2015 that's when my amd's were back online. In late 2015/ early 2016 I was selling my nvidia's to buy back old amd's...

Can you explain this in mathematical terms?

I'm interested in hearing this too. There have been some very profitable shitcoins to mine (usually nvidia algos) that I would never pay a single penny for. But they don't last long, usually days or weeks. Or some good projects that are not on exchanges yet. Those are the two cases were buying isn't an option so mining wins.

Someone who has just invested all his money in building a rig is better off mining at a loss with a potential gain in the future rather than selling the mining rig at a loss then buying less of a coin.

That miner cannot pay his/ her first power bill because it's bigger than mining profits, really bad business.

It gets even worse if rigs were bought on credit, there is cc bill too, really really really bad business.

It gets close to catastrophic if rigs were bought on credit and with inflated prices.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Winter is coming. on: October 17, 2017, 04:54:42 PM
Where I live it's not allowed to build a house if it doesn't have a modern ventilation system with heat recovery, I think it's been like that for the last 15-20 years already.

Ventilation unit takes dirty warm air, runs it through a filter and heat exchanger. Waste air is then dumped outside and extracted heat used to warm fresh air which comes through a filter to the exhanger. Fresh warm air is then distributed around to house, efficiency is somewhere in the 80-90% range.

Silent, efficient and works too. There are options to integrate at least heat pump, solar and geothermal heating/ cooling.

Mining rigs can easily heat even a big house even if it's freezing cold outside.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: October 14, 2017, 08:27:19 PM
You're missing the point bro. Miners don't put money into the system, investors do. You aren't going to find buy support from miners.
I'm very good at missing points haha!

What I tried to say is, using my earlier post (four days ago) as an example:

Buying a $400 gpu today vs. going long btc/usd, who wins?

First guy, miner/ investor, went and bought that gpu and is adding it to his rig today. He is -$400 on cash and is holding hardware worth of $300 (pulling this from ass). Estimated mining profits $1/day and he is back where he started from in 100 days.

Second guy, investor, went and bought 0.083 btc @$4800. He is -$400 on cash and is today holding btc worth of $475.

Third one, trader, opened a leveraged 5x long position on btc/usd. He still has that $400 (tied to position) and his position today is worth of $775.

To sum it up, first and second guy add some value to this ecosystem but third one doesn't (except volume). And still that leecher makes the biggest profits off all. Also if/ when market starts going south that fucker is the only one who makes money (shorting), the rest are panic selling or waiting for better times underwater.

How is this post on topic someone might ask? Well, sp_ is a leecher too. So is every "dev" who is launching or pumping these compute heavy coins/ algos. Or 90% of ICO's. Or shady exchanges. List continues...

The amount of stupid money currently flowing in is just so huge that everyone who knows how this shit works gets his "fair" share and then some. Knowing that new money is mostly after quick and easy profits helps when raping them.

No offence guys,

Antantti
Leecher
