182  Economy / Securities / [CRYPTOSTOCKS] Vircurex (VCX) - Request for Vote - Dividend Payment Proposal on: April 03, 2013, 10:09:53 AM
What do we want you to vote for?
Change current process of paying out complete revenue as dividend to paying out 70% of the net profit as dividends and retain 30% of the net profits to increase the NAV until NAV reaches the face value of 0.25.

Why are we requesting for this vote?
When VCX was listed, we assumed that the platform will only reach a break even in 3 years. Due to the unexpected large increase in trading activities in the past 6 weeks, we have been able to achieve the breakeven already in the first month. This very positive business development requires us to relook into the way the profits are being used.

What is the impact if the vote pases?
70% of the net profits will be paid out as dividends, 30% will be withheld to increase the NAV of the company. These funds will be held in BTC and LTC. Retaining 30% of the net profits will help to retain cash for future unplanned acquisitions, marketing activities, etc.

What is he impact if the vote fails?
The NAV of the shares will gradually drop to 0 BTC in 3 years time, as the operational costs are being paid for out of the companies capital (as per the listing contract).

Our recommendatio
Vote with "yes". This is in the interest of the shareholders, we are improving the value of the shares.

Thanks. The past two days were crazy, our web site traffic has trippled but the servers are holding up very well so far. But we are adding some capacity as we speak in anticipation of possibly more traffic coming (hopefully).

189  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptostocks - BTC,DVC,LTC denominated Stock Exchange/Crowdfunding Platform on: March 31, 2013, 08:12:44 AM
Yes, there are several stocks that show very little trading volume. Whether this is due to a lack of willingness of investors to buy into these stocks or the unwillingness of existing shareholders to sell their shares is difficult to judge.

Ultimately anyone is free to list a project here on Cryptostocks, we do not filter or judge the projects listed. The investors need to do their homework and decide which projects are worthwhile investing in.

To come to your questions:
 - the actual number of shares sold are visible under the category "Shares held publicly" on the info tab of the security
 - Success of a listed project depends on many aspects:
     - a convincing business, a new business is always easier to sell than just another pass-through, mining farm, etc.
     - marketing, don't underestimate the efforts required to make your project known to the public

My personal opinion is that many just list a project and believe investors will come knocking on their doors. Reality is: you need to go out and seek your investors.

192  Economy / Auctions / Re: DVC-LOTTO.COM for sales, incl. source code on: March 27, 2013, 02:47:59 PM
Its developed with RubyOnRail (Ruby 1.9.x, Rails 3.2.x). You'll need a Linux machine to run it (some of the tools used wont work on Windows).
193  Economy / Auctions / Re: BTC-LOTTO.COM for sales, incl. source code on: March 27, 2013, 08:03:31 AM
the site don't have layout and isn't provably fair. I would'n pay even 1000 USD for it because unfortunately it's fated to failure.

This is a sale of the domain name, the source code of the app comes along for free. Whether its worth the BTC requested or not, the auction result will tell us.
194  Economy / Auctions / Re: BTC-LOTTO.COM for sales, incl. source code on: March 27, 2013, 08:02:44 AM
Wow 500 BTC AND its not even in English...

Its bilingual, you can switch between German and English. See the flags at the top right corner of the page?
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying 100K LTC on: March 26, 2013, 04:28:53 PM
Anyone have 100K LTC and willing to sell for 10K USD? Buy order is placed on Vircurex.com.
196  Other / Archival / Re: closed on: March 25, 2013, 12:17:39 AM
Implemented various layout changes (mainly coloring) and replaced the graphs with new ones, now including volume too.

The issue with the graph being overlaid with the entry form on very small screens should now be resolved.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Options on: March 24, 2013, 11:38:42 PM
Did you check the Options feature on Vircurex?  Allows you as a user to underwrite options, such as:

- Buy option: allows the buyer of the option to buy from the issuer a number of coins at a predefined price
- Sell option: allows the buyer of the option to sell to the issuer a predefined number of coins at a predefined price

This can ofcourse be done in any coin combination.

Looks more or less what you want to achieve?
