Why are the withdraw fees for bitcoin so high? I can't remember the last time I had to give up BTC0.01 just to get my money back.

I agree that VCX withdrawal fees are starting to seem a little high.

Please check your PM's. Looks like I have a stuck BTC withdrawal. I am guessing it has not confirmed because there was no fee included in the TX.

Thanks. The past two days were crazy, our web site traffic has trippled but the servers are holding up very well so far. But we are adding some capacity as we speak in anticipation of possibly more traffic coming (hopefully).

Just saw it today: Huge thanks for lowering confirmation threshold!!! PS: 10 for LTC was kinda crazy because that nullified LTC's swiftness.

ABOVE that though, as long as we are paying a withdrawal then a FEE NEEDS to be included with the withdrawal TX so our withdrawals actually get processed by the network.

I'm struggling to buy PPC with BTC. On the orders screen it only shows NMC / BTC with no way to change it?? - This is starting to frustrate me

Lowering the fees at this point in time is not possible. Check out this: "category" : "send", "amount" : -0.70072277, "fee" : 0.61118872, Since we added the optional fee to speed up network processing, we pay redicilous amounts of fees. The reason is that we have tons of tiny deposits (probably P2P mining or other mining results). These thousands of small transactions are are driving the fees up. We would have to stop supporting the reuse of deposit addresses in order to do that.

Same issue existed in my exchange, it's crazy. Some people do many small deposits direct from mining pools for less than 0.0001 coins and it fragments the wallet resulting in high fees for withdrawals which the exchange has to eat. It'd be nice if the various coins had an API that worked like: foocoind sendtoaddress 1X9999 25 0.01 Where 0.01 is the fee you want to pay. If that fee is too small for the coind's default it can fail and return the actual fee required. You can then retry the command with the new fee. This would allow finding out the fee to pass on to the user.

The alternative would be not to credit any deposits lower than a specified threshhold, e.g. < 0.01 BTC Thus anyone sending less will not get the coins credited. Best even, some sort of reorg function on the wallet.
