Justin Castro 'Trudeau' ordered banks to freeze the bank accounts of protesters.

Insurance companies were ordered to cancel the car or truck insurance policies of protesters.

Protesters are not allowed to use any cryptocurrency as that now falls under "Terrorist Financing" rules.

The tyrant does not need any court orders as he declared a State of Emergency and showed his true colors.

Under the State of Emergency act, the government can arrest and detain anyone without trial.

He is forcing mandates on the people to take an experimental drug with no clinical trial data, with proven lethal or serious lifelong side effects and with zero legal repercussions, for what at this point amounts to a fucking cold (provided you even get infected at all). And being vaxxed spreads the virus even more.

All Canadians who support him on this are complicit in supporting tyranny. This is wrong and they should know that.

Goodbye personal liberty and freedom in Canada. When internment camps?

I agree with your sentiments, though it starts to look like said nutjob is just running the best adoption campaign ever.
Why spend millions on a superbowl ad if you can reach even more people by demonstrating what unconfiscable money truely means.

Though it is a shame, I seriously considered moving to some remote place in Canada (something with a lake or even a small island), but that's not the Canada I visited in the 90s anymore and it's definitely off the table until they demonstrate being a democracy respecting their own laws.

I do hope this backfires on him and his comrades heavily.

As we have Haiku Sunday and I am completely unfit to create such non-rhyming poetry, I deem it appropriate to post about Haiku OS which is basically the successor of BeOS and has a vivid history.
They released last week their third beta of the initial release and those of you that are interested in alternative operating systems might want to take a closer look. I reckon fans of MacOS in earlier times might find it appealing.

Quote from: What is Haiku OS?
Haiku is an open-source operating system that specifically targets personal computing. Inspired by the BeOS, Haiku is fast, simple to use, easy to learn and yet very powerful.

I gave it a whirl in qemu and on real hardware and I am thrilled by its clean and simple design and it's performance. A very refreshing experience and I will keep it on my watchlist.

A nice, sunny and funny Sunday to all of you, may the 45k be with us!

After more than 2 months of waiting I finally received my copy of "The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health" from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

I am so far only on page ~45 of it as I try to follow randomly selected endnotes but it is totally mind-blowing as a read. So far I haven't found any inconsistencies, it makes sense and it is so far sound. What is interesting, is that only till page 45 he has already accused Fauci and Gates multiple times of homicide and deeply illicit behaviour for their own benefit and I wonder what keeps Fauci and Gates from sueing the shit out of him (except the fact that they probably would rather avoid having to testify under oath).

I wonder if others have read the book (if they could get it, as it was a pretty challenging exercise to order it at all) and what they make out of it respectively how they weigh the case Kennedy is making.

Expecting my recovery Qr tomo.

Glad to hear you seem to have recovered fully.

Remember when the "specialists" all explained to us that all adverse side effects can only happen within hours or 1-2 days as the vaccine is removed from body completely by then and it is absolutely impossible to see side effects later than 1-2 days after the shot ("listen to science you idiot" and such)?
Now in my country media is currently broadly acknowledging that a significant amount of people develop a serious hives/urticaria within 3 weeks after they have been boostered. On Friday alone there were over 200 new reports of this side effect to the booster (it concerns so far only moderna "customers").

Now that Swiss media is at all reporting about such things is new in this pandemic, so far they have played the same music as everywhere ("trust the science", "you will die if unvaccinated", "it's an act of solidarity", "there is no alternative to get vaccinated" etc.). But here's the catch: This Sunday/today we have a public vote about the question if the government should pump hundreds of millions into national MSM to make sure the the public is getting verified, trustable and critical information... (it that sounds unthinkable for a democracy to you, it is).
So that might be the reason they wanted to demonstrate their ability of critical and independent thinking where it doesn't hurt. Though I even disagree on this, a severe urticaria is no fun at all and while it won't kill you it will make your life quite miserable, especially if it sticks around for some time.

<snip>

So if a person died in a motorcycle crash and tested positive for Covid, we have no idea how they recorded that. They could have recorded the death once for blunt force trauma, and recorded it again separately as a Covid death.

Meanwhile we know for certain, at least for our country (.ch), that this was counted as covid case and later on as covid death. That's not even a matter of dispute anymore.
This fact has been admitted by officials in the last weeks (no, not on telegram, on official channels like national TV etc.). As an advanced conspiracy terrorist I have to assume this to be the case for other countries as well.

That's something Malone mentioned in the Rogan podcast and instead of crying foul and wining like little babies, the vaccists could take Malone to court and prove him wrong. Now guess why he is still not charged yet??

Also they (=our gubbermint) refused until today to count vaccinated infections against non-vaccinated (when it still accounted to something and delta was going through the care homes). They say they lack the means to...

As for motivation: there have been financial incentives to report someone as covid case rather than a victim of a shooting.

does anyone have it?

The first link was given last year about this time on the wo thread I am looking but do not see it.

... Lucas Betschart is likely CIA asset, worked for Swiss firm Crypto AG https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crypto_AG in Zug-Steinhausen before bitcoin ~2009-2013, and travelled regularly to the US, began embedding himself in cryptocurrency activities and social circles around 2013-24

Nice find!
One might suspect this company has at least some involvement with the intelligence community.

At the same address there is a company called Bitcoin Core Code Signing Association (the links gives a warning as they seem to use a certificate for github.com):

Bitcoin Core signs its Windows and macOS binaries with code signing certificates. Those certificates either need to be bound to an individual or a company organization. Bitcoin Core is purely an open source project and has no legal entity, thus, some of the Core Developers have founded an association with the single purpose of registering for code signing certificates.

I currently don't know what to make out of this coincidence, but I find it mildly interesting.
188  Other / Off-topic / Re: [WO/Hat-Gang Only - MODERATED] The fucking COVID vax thread (No hat? Fuck off!) on: January 20, 2022, 02:21:19 PM
I tested positive last Sunday after my mum informed me that she tested positive. Meanwhile I am testing negative as of today.
Sunday morning I woke up with a little headache that was cured quickly with one Aspirin (and the headache could well be from some excessive booze use the evening before). From then on I have been a little more lazy than usual and a bit more tired than usual. Though sleep has been better than with any sleeping pill. Took a good shot of Vitamin C and B12 every morning and sat it out.

Whole family got it obviously as all had very similar symptoms but only two of us tested positive with the AG tests. Mum is awaiting results of PCR test as she can't believe that the sniffles she has is indeed covid. She is in fact a high-high-risk and needs to be careful with any flu or cold. Btw: she was in hospital twice after second jab, once for sudden vision problems that couldn't be explained and once for high blood pressure which had resulted in a very small stroke. Naturally not related to the jab, probably just stress or a hysteric reaction like with other thousands of people reporting similar reactions..

So there is a sample set of 4 people I can observe, turns out my double-vaccinated parents had some symptoms, mum is still down with coughing and sneezing and a little fatigue but otherwise well. The unvaccinated SWMBO and me have been and are fine, except the said laziness and both had a few hours of mild headache.

If I hadn't tested I would have thought there is a weather change upcoming or something or I drank too much or whatever, but it has def. been the most mildest sickness I ever experienced (that is not to downplay the symptoms and health problems others had and have! - I am merely describing my own experience). Let me put it otherwise: I prefer what I had to even the smallest (expected) adverse reactions one could get from vaccination.

What me and the missus did before was taking a 3 week treatment of Pygenol around dec 2021 (we learned about this drug 20yrs ago from a national sports team we were working with, pro sportsmen take this to improve their recovery time). It's a bit expensive so thanks to bitcoin we could afford it  Wink

Based on OOMs recommendation we also used Algovir nasal spray and we're both convinced it also played an important role in not getting really sick (never had a running nose or a sore throat), it seems like it gives ones immune system a head start over any virus. On top of that it also helps me greatly with allergic reactions. Thanks again for that tip OOM, Algovir is gold!

Also, I drank about 4-5 litres of water every day, that indeed is important (not just with covid), otherwise you get dehydrated and start doing weird things like placing buy orders for eth or doge. Oh and we made hash cookies (don't ask for algo, I mean the other "hash") which me, missus and dad had beginning the day before getting infected. Don't know if that helped too, definitely helped having a nice sleep  Grin

It seems to me that we most probably got Omicron, and what I can say so far is that it seems really as harmless as a common cold. Also it seems that vaccination does shit for infections and sickness with Omicron, contrary I tend to believe that vaccinated folks get hit a bit harder by it. I guess in two to four weeks Delta will be completely gone and only Omicron circulating.

One thing I would like to mention about this Omicron variant is that while it really seems harmless and mostly benign it spreads like wildfire. If mum is to be believed she must have brought it home from a walk and talking for a few minutes outside and in safe distance (>2m). The speed of the spreading is probably the most worrisome thing about Omicron.

Still, I feel lucky I could get in touch with that whole Corona shit show by way of this Omicron variant, wouldn't want to have the Delta or earlier, but not because I feared dying from it, but because I have a certain dislike for headaches, coughing, lying in bed and feeling miserable and all that stuff.

I need to also comment on a few current developments:

- Germany and Austria both want a vaccination mandate, I do think this is very very worrying and I am very sorry to hear about that. The politicians trying to enforce this are despicable wankers assholes persons. I predict neither Germany's nor Austria's mandate will withstand the European court for human rights and I am sure they know that too but it is only about wielding this mandate to force people fearing to lose their jobs to get the useless jabs. Hearing this Lauterbach figure tell people "I need the mandate law so I can fight Corona" (emphasis mine) makes me fear the Germans again like my parents and grand parents did last century.

- A Swiss politician and lawyer is fighting in court to have the government release and publish the contracts with the vaccines companies (mostly Pfizer and Moderna in our case) and he had a first win and the outlook is like 50/50 to get the contracts released. The pharma lobby organization here is having a lot of foam on their mouth about this and is in total panic mode. If these contracts get released indeed that will be interesting what they want to keep secret and why.

Now unfortunately the production means for these vaccines have been built and need to produce billions of doses to be as profitable as pharma likes business to be. The whole thing could be over once Omicron has completely usurped Delta but I predict it won't. The TPTB can't change course without losing their faces and pharma wants to milk the cow much more.

And on another note:
Sick as a dog, my turn maybe.

... vaccinated, boosted? got your mask on? carrying your covid pass?

... otherwise you should probably crawl away and die quietly somewhere

EDIT: there's another thread to discuss CoVID coughs and colds btw and other maladies of the temporarily insane so I'm told

^Totally uncool MoA!
Get well soon Hueristic!

Good luck and health to all that caught it now no matter your vaccination status (what a term in itself)!

P.S.: Rereading my post makes me consider that one of Omicrons side effects is excessive wordiness .. I hope that wears off again  Grin

why not play 2 or 3 or 4 or even 10 dollars a day at a long shot when you earn the safe mining.  and the long shot mine plays way better then the cost. just takes time.

I know it's a rhetorical question, but if anyone cares - variance is the answer to "why not". The 1:3664 chance for the pool to find a block means it would take 10 years on average, but it's not a 100% chance in 10 years. I'm too lazy to calculate now but there's probably like a 10% chance that it won't hit a block in 20 years.

I'm not saying this is a wrong strategy - like you said, compared to casino gambling you have an edge here as long as the cost/difficulty ratio is favorable. It's still a massive gamble though.

I am not a very political person.  Some would say I am lacking principal.  But I will be uninstalling Firefox for sure.  Not sure what that accomplishes.  But I do not want to have ANYTHING to do with supporting the sorts of garbage they seem to be supporting.

If you're not political you should ignore the noise, uninstall Chrome/Edge/etc and support Firefox. Seriously, most of the other browsers are a steaming pile of garbage developed by the largest spyware company in the world.

Well perhaps I am more political than I pretend Wink  But I will most likely be switching to DDG, I think, which I would assume is Chromium based.

Maybe give waterfox a whirl, it's definitley a good alternative to bloated firefox.
Though I agree with suchmoon, it's probably the much lesser evil compared to any Google or Microsoft browser (though it really starts to annoy the crap out of me lately with its constant changes on updates).

Actually the wikipedia guys try to catch the same ESG train recently:

https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_comment/Stop_accepting_cryptocurrency_donations

Only few understand that BTC actually helps renewable and green energy by using that energy when nobody else does/wants to.

running satellite internet here so ill toss my numbers out: 100ms ping on average, 45/3 mbits down/up. i generally get under 1% stales/invalids mining an unmentionable batman slap inducing shitcoin.

Thanks vapourminer, I did use 1s to simplify the comparison, but if I would have had to pull numbers out of thin air, I would have estimated it to be in the 200-500ms range nowadays. 100ms is pretty cool for a sat link IMO.

May I ask about provider, cost and traffic limits if opsec allows?

Can't your internet connexion play a role in the chance of hitting a block ?

No, your chances of hitting a block are not affected by your internet connection, but indeed it can affect how quick you can distribute a found block to your peers. I admit that is a bit of hairsplitting around words, if you phrased your question as "play a role in getting the reward for a found block" the answer would be yes.

So if for example Alice and Bob find a block at the very same time (same milisecond), and Alice has a satellite connection with ~1s roundtrip while Bob has fiber to the home with a roundtrip of <10ms, Bob has much better chances to have his block accepted and being built upon by other miners/pools.

Also if you mine on a pool and the network connection to the pool has a lot of delay/roundtrip you probably waste some hashpower after submitting a share and before receiving new work from the pool. Let's use above example and assume you submit a share every 25s, that is Alice loses ~1s every 25s waiting for new work, while Bob loses 5-10ms every 25s waiting for new work from the pool. So Alice loses ~4% while Bob only wastes ~0.02-0.04% of their hashrate (if my math is not on meth).

Thanks a lot for the information, had a hanging Firefox after it was updated in my Debian Linux. Your trick fixed it.

Fortunately HTTP/3 is still on draft, so disabling it won't affect your experience since most website don't bother support protocol which is in draft state.

<snip>

It is still a draft, though the Wikipedia page for it states:

Quote from: http3
..
As of January 2022, the HTTP/3 protocol is still officially an Internet Draft, but is already supported by 73% of running web browsers,[3] and according to W3Techs 24% of the top 10 million websites

-cut-

That is a typing error, I actually used  ./autogen.sh the first time and I have tried again, it is the same response.
Can you also simplify  what you said in your last paragraph! I will appreciate the answers to my last question.

I am pretty confident you will receive a very different error than what you posted when you run autogen.sh correctly.

I was just saying that git is not involved in the configure and compile process at all.
195  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Setting up Bitcoin environment but ./autogen.sh wouldn't respond and other CMND on: January 09, 2022, 12:35:15 PM
The command should be

Code:
./autogen.sh

and not

Code:
git ./autogen.sh

git has no business with the autogen script except updating it eventually when you git pull.

Watching the Dr Malone / Rogan interview... pretty good so far.

(btw eff you bct post merging script, and thanks to cOPETECH)

I thought it was a very well done and informative podcast, I also liked JR's interview w/ Peter McCollough but I think Peter got a little bit off the rails w/ some of his assertions that should have been should have been toned back until empirical data supported them as fact. Dr. Malone was properly reserved to avoid weak assertions that could be used to debunk the entirety.

That's interesting. I did watch that one too.  And I did not get that sense from McCollough.  In fact I kind of thought Malone got WAY more risky... but i might have just zoned out for the portion you are thinking of... These things are interesting..but they are long as hell.  3 hours!  But I am going to watch ever minute.

But I also think McCullough kind of danced around the fringe compared to the laser focused assassination of the current narrative this thing was.

DAMN  Powerful stuff..  the last 15 minutes is ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING.

Following up here, because, uhm, reasons..

I am not sure yet how to weigh this all as I'm still digesting what I heard, but I somehow foresee this Malone figure to have a very very unfortunate bathing accident involving a hair dryer. Also very confident that the suicide note that will be found has already been typed.

It's also interesting how this video/podcast disappears quickly when it pops up somewhere. It is as if it had self-destructive capabilities..

Well no that is a Apartheid thread.

I am pretty sure, you are as welcome as other men without hats (as long as you master the safety dance) as Bob stated some time ago:

If a non-hatter contributes something substantive and interesting to the thread, brave enough to post here, and survive my scrutiny, I'll give them a pass.

Passive WO-posters get an implied, automagic free pass, as "we are familiar with them".

So you're probably not gonna fail on the non-hatter but on the substantive part.
