181  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Old Mining Equipment? on: June 04, 2017, 02:42:55 AM
I was more looking to make contact with people who might have old machine lying about.. 90% of the ones on ebay are fuked. or are listed on hacked accounts they steal your money and believe me they get it out paypal before you can put in a dispute.. then its a epic wait to get your money back!

Thats how it is whit old machines, they go bad after few years, but you cant get scammed on ebay now, as paypal gives you 180 days "warranty".
ebay and paypal are not together anymore under same owners so is different.

But here you wont find many old gears, most scrap t hem or sell them on ebay.

Or if you are on a country where it mines alot you can try localy.

bussines here are not so blooming anymore.

either try aliexpress but prices are ridicoulus there Wink

So I was wondering if anyone here might have some old miners or old PSU's they no longer require.

If anyone has any old ant miners, KNC's, Spondoolies ect  or anything else lying about mining related I would like to hear from you.

Thanks

there are plenty machines on ebay. if you were thinking that you would get some machines for free here forget it  Wink .
184  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB , 2x io board for s7 EU, on: June 04, 2017, 02:33:18 AM
i neeed 2x io boars for s7 inside EU.
185  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s7 keeps shutting down. on: June 03, 2017, 06:42:02 AM
S7s need to see both fans and the fans need to be in the expected RPM range based on the voltage the fan is provided with by the controller. If you replace them you need to match the fans as close as possible to the OEM versions

nope. they work whit random fans. newbies doing dumb comments.

It was heat problem because of heat not escaping the buildning, alreadly fixed the issue. and fans was not.

A io board was dead, and one PSU burned because it had something broken inside and couldnt handle electricity.

but thanks for trying. good luck.

https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/3138/how-fast-should-be-an-internet-connection-to-mine-eth

this should clarify more the rig mining.

Quote
Mining itself doesn't use that much bandwidth, however syncing the block chain does. For syncing the blockchain using the --fast option it used about 12Gb(Initial sync) and about 100 mb the past 2 weeks. Mining itself used exactly 150mb for the past 14 days.
187  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 10 x Antminer S7s + 5 x Bitmaintech APW3-12-1600 (1600W PSU) on: June 01, 2017, 04:04:15 PM
price per machine ?.
188  Bitcoin / Mining support / s7 keeps shutting down. on: June 01, 2017, 03:58:49 PM
i have 2 s7 wich keeps shutting down, they start hashing and one stops inmediatly at 1 minut. the other was on for like a month before having a hard start of it.

now both machines act similar, one shut downs at 1min and the other at 4min.

i was suspecting fans as this two have 1x non original PC computer artic cooling, wich are running pretty low, could this be the problem ?.

i have flashed them, reset them. nothing seems to work.

they are on a dps 2900. so electrict failure cant be. or internet.

gonna dismantle some s5 for the fans and swap .

any other ideas, maybe older firmware? this are batch B7 if i remember correctly.

they go upp pretty much in heat too, i cleaned them free from dust, they are going to 90 ~. but the room is cool, the other machines are at 60~ and working fine.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much data traffic when mining? on: June 01, 2017, 03:50:07 PM
Miner only with 6 GPUs - 2.2GB per month, 8 GPUs 2.7GB per month.

not really, the more miners you have wont increase 500mb consumption by adding 2 more. if 6 using 2.2gb it dont add upp.

This question was answered years ago, the consumption is not eqal to how much machines you have, t he soncumption will mostly depend on the connection .

But around and no more than 3gb should it be montly if yo uare using LTE or 3g..

Makes no sense. More GPUs you have, more task you will get, more answers you will send back thus - more data per second. Each GPU work in parallel with others not series. Same as rigs, each rig works in parallel with other rigs, not in series.

the machines are not working on a web, so they are not working on the network, they work alone , by the multiple cpus they got, the only data that goes out is hash information.

, and besides  a person whit 3 posts and explaining wrong stuff, when as said this question has been asked and aswered many times , by LEgendarie members and not a newbie whit 3 posts.

And as said , your calculations dont add upp. i have 10 machines running, they bearly get to 2gb montly. and i guuess most of community can cornfirm this as all miners have control and watch over their mines statistically and economicaly.

It all depends on what kind of GPU you have and how much of them you have. Currently my rigs with GTX 1070 consumes around 350-360MB per month per card (upload/download) solely by miner.

And yes, calculations are done locally, but from server you get tasks to solve and send back your answers. So data consumption is proportional to speed your GPUs work at and what kind of algorithm they use. Faster you GPU makes calculations more tasks it will receive and more answers it will send. My numbers are for ZCash only.

And what does it have to do with post number? That is not an argument.

The argument is that this has been answered already by alot of members.

ou are giving out wrong information.

200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: May 12, 2017, 10:26:55 AM
Crap. Well, removed all the signal chips (z17 and TPS ones) and the thing does the same thing. Which  means that one of the supplies is dead shorted from +12 to the SCL bus, probably the telemetry chip. And since they're all on the same line no way to identify which one.

That sucks. Will think about it more tomorrow.

ill contact some people who got some broken neptunes, might be able to get broken api boards aswell.
