i have 2 s7 wich keeps shutting down, they start hashing and one stops inmediatly at 1 minut. the other was on for like a month before having a hard start of it.

now both machines act similar, one shut downs at 1min and the other at 4min.

i was suspecting fans as this two have 1x non original PC computer artic cooling, wich are running pretty low, could this be the problem ?.

i have flashed them, reset them. nothing seems to work.

they are on a dps 2900. so electrict failure cant be. or internet.

gonna dismantle some s5 for the fans and swap .

any other ideas, maybe older firmware? this are batch B7 if i remember correctly.

they go upp pretty much in heat too, i cleaned them free from dust, they are going to 90 ~. but the room is cool, the other machines are at 60~ and working fine.

Fans are always a good start when checking an S5/7/9 acting as you describe.

~snip~
Your assumptions was correct the fan is the cause here since it cant do its job which causes for the miner to get hot even on a well ventilated room. It will surely shutdown itself to avoid further damage. I have experienced this one regarding on fan faults which I didn't made any solution because its quiet hassle and expensive to transport if you do buy only a fan.For now you have some alternative then better to use that and it may resolve the issue.

S7s need to see both fans and the fans need to be in the expected RPM range based on the voltage the fan is provided with by the controller. If you replace them you need to match the fans as close as possible to the OEM versions

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

nope. they work whit random fans. newbies doing dumb comments.

It was heat problem because of heat not escaping the buildning, alreadly fixed the issue. and fans was not.

A io board was dead, and one PSU burned because it had something broken inside and couldnt handle electricity.

but thanks for trying. good luck.
