181  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 1.6 BTC locked on Blockchain.com on: January 04, 2023, 08:31:43 AM
First of all, I am sorry, I know how much it will be frustrating when your hard earned money is stuck somewhere; it is really annoying but do not lose your faith on recovering.

It seems yahoo mail client could be the core reason which delays your mail to be delivered on time. (I read yahoo was about to abandon their email services but for some reasons they continue it till date).

So, you my try to configure your yahoo mail in gamil; this way you can receive yahoo mails in gamil account. Here is the step by step procedure to configure: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6304825

If this solves your problem of delayed receiving of mails from blockchain.com; I guess you will be able to reset your password and able to access your funds. Let's hope for the best to happen. Please share your experience after trying. Good luck!
182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: January 03, 2023, 09:02:32 PM
Considering past developments is not always a good indicator for future events.
We have a totally different economic and political situation.
I don't think that blindly investing in the top 10 is a "good" strategy.
I think it would be profitable at this point in time, but given that there are much better options I don't consider
it a good tactic.
Development is a positive word so why not? But, it's all about consistency. Others are only good at the start and eventually they can't sustain their momentum so let's make it a practice to be observant and don't put all your trust in each projects that you invest except only for bitcoin I guess?

If you notice some strange activity on the coin that you hold then it will be better to drop them as early as possible. They are not the only coin here but there might be better coins out there which are more worthy with our money. Yes, people shouldn't use top 10 as a benchmark when investing because not all of it are genuinely good but some only climb the ranks because of the trend.
183  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk forum mobile app on: January 03, 2023, 05:34:43 PM
I just checked that topic and learnt that is about firefox extension based and not exactly an app for mobile. I guess only theymos decides about mobile app version of this forum then we can get. Otherwise anyone can create unofficial version for "read only" purposes.

I'm still comfortable using the browser even though the view has to be enlarged again.
You may try the wap mode which is somehow giving better experience. Usually I do check this forum only from my office desktop. So, I never think about mobile versions. Probably for the people who travel on regular basis, mobile app must be too handy.
184  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: January 02, 2023, 09:51:10 PM
I know they aren't pure crypto casinos, but they are time-proven and trustworthy. Some of them are in operation for over 20 years. You only can see the casinos on the page that are accessible from your country.

So, here is the link to the page: https://casinoroam.com/bitcoin-casinos/
I'm really surprised that the list the OP provided doesn't include the name of a single casino or gambling platform that I know. I'm quite skeptical of the OP's list. Maybe they are good casino platforms but since there is nothing to trust us I think they should be avoided. All the sites that are doing well in our forum that have proven to be reliable then I can only trust those sites. Conducting gambling in any unknown site or non review site that be very risky.
He already said the reason why and that is because they are an old online casino. They have grown with the classics and maybe they are not planning of adding more payment methods. If there is one thing that these casino can guarantee then that is their security or fairness. That is again according to the OP but we can always verify it by doing another research.

If we found something suspicious about their operations then we can always report them here to be able to spread awareness about the others because there might be some here who are planning to try a non-crypto casino for some reasons. Non-crypto casinos do have some advantages though.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin developer @lukedashjr's wallet was hacked on: January 02, 2023, 08:54:22 PM
I think it's better to rely on a good and old notebook than on any digital devices...
Notebooks can be damaged easily by natural calamities so there is still a danger on storing our keys there but a good one would be to embed them on some stainless metal. Hardware wallets is good too but we should only use the popular brands only to be sure that they are safe.

That's a coordinated/targeted-attack, and probably his way of securing the keys were not very good enough. I believe we should learn from this, and start using different paths/strategies to secure our keys. If you have your whole savings in Bitcoin it's probably better to use different wallets and secure them differently to confuse the attacker. Use - Hardware Wallets, Encrypted Wallets, and other wallets written down and secured through lock/key vaults.
It is said that it was a bitcoin developer so it's somehow surprising if he didn't store his coins properly but we can't also underestimate the hackers. This news wasn't alone though but there are even exchanges who got hacked and we know that exchanges do also have a better security because they hold a lot of cryptos. The amount lost by the guy isn't small so will definitely learn from this and use a different approach to secure his coins.
186  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: January 02, 2023, 05:16:10 PM
I've been at Roobet.com a long time and have never had a problem or complaint about the KYC that is supposed to be in place to keep gambling here.
I believe that Roobet can safely store KYC that has been given by other gamblers to comply with the rules set by Roobet.
I also feel that while gambling at Roobet I have never experienced any problems after KYC there and Roobet.com is very friendly.

and actually for me KYC is not a complicated thing to do even though some gamblers don't agree with the terms. but we also have to comply with the rules set by the platform. it doesn't mean that we are subject to the platform, but we only comply and respect what has been set.
you don't need to worry about KYC on Roobet.com as long as you don't abuse the features available on Roobet.
You can never be 100% certain about the 100% safely store it" thing. Because hackers keep trying and even the biggest places in the world end up getting hacked. Look at just Edward Snowden and you would know, worlds strongest and most powerful people got hacked and all of their secrets are public now, interestingly nothing happened to most of them and people who should have been either voted out or hated literally got defended, but the idea of any information could be hacked is there for proof.

Hence, if someone wants to hack into the KYC database anywhere they could do that and that is why people do not want to give their KYC anywhere like casino because it is not accepted in most parts of the world.

I think they have analyzed being on Binance and listing, but I think it is not convenient for them because obviously, the market is very low and if they enter with a token the price will go much lower, I think they could enter Binance at the moment that they think is convenient and the most convenient time is when bitcoin begins its bullish trend and this is something very difficult to predict, meanwhile the interest in topkens is going down little by little, and many people do not believe much in the BFG token I have seen how many have sold their tokens, and they are not very interested, I think that if they want to save this they have to make very radical strategies.
I do not think that they could enter any moment they want, it is not something as simple as that. I know it is possible, but being possible and being "will enter whenever I want" levels are totally different.

I think it is more like "anytime they want they can try to enter but not trying right now" is a bit more likely situation. Yeah, they are not trying to enter, which causes them to not be listed because they don't even want to now, but that doesn't mean they would be listed the day after they decide to get listed neither, it will take a long time before that could happen. Personally I care about the fact that it is a strong token that can be higher priced before it can get listed.
188  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mistakes Successful People Never Make Twice on: December 30, 2022, 08:24:42 PM
Definitely, there’s no assurance that you will be better for your second try and seriously most of the rich people today experienced a lot of failure in the past and made a lot of mistakes as well, I believe with those experience it helps them to become better and wiser. We should not be afraid to make mistakes, just continue to learn and don’t give up easily because life is very challenging and those who continue to grow will always succeed in the long run.
I think it depends on the people and to the thing that they are doing. There are people who are smart and easy to adapt on what they are doing but there are just things which are not easy so we may experience a lot of trials and errors before we master them.

Mastering something in your second try is impressive already but if not then it's fine, you can always try again for the third, fourth and so on. I believe that successful people can still make some of the mistakes that the OP listed because they are not a god. No one is perfect here but it does not mean that they will collapse or will fail easily. Most successful people already build a strong foundation.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 29, 2022, 10:18:31 PM
Nice - Lans
Lens are in great shape, they have won 8 matches in a row, putting them in second place now, and to maintain a 5-point gap against PSG, they need to win today. But despite the fact that Nice this season most likely will not qualify for the euro cups, but they are able to take points from Lance and break their winning streak. In any case, I think that Lance will not be able to compete with PSG in Ligue 1.
Nice keep the nerve and not allowed Lens at Allianz Riviera to win this game with both teams were level in performance and quality even Lens were superior in first half, but Nice defense were alert which was surely helpful for them to have one point from this match which is surely going to have good impact on few teams ranking in coming days.

Lens which is still at the second spot behind PSG now having gape of seven points with now in next match they are going to host PSG at Stade Bollaert-Delelis which could be good opportunity for them to cut the gape of points with PSG by four points but if they are not able to perform better than surely this could be more widen by 10 points and this could be surely not good for them and other competitors even if Lens not able to win this match then Marseille could be having good time for replacing them at the second spot because gape could be cut by only one point.
190  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: December 29, 2022, 09:22:53 PM
Liverpool have come back from the World Cup break quite good. I think we will watch a match with many goals against Leicester. If it comes to your mind please share some photos from the stadium. I like it a lot when people share photos from the matches they go to.
Liverpool defense was criminal again, if Villa was just a bit better at finishing big chances they would have scored 3 or 4 goals. City was doing whatever they wanted in first half against Liverpool as well. I don't think they will keep a clean sheet against anybody. Only hope is that their attack will be able to outscore the opponents. Should make for some interesting games going forward.
That type of problem is not one that could go away in a day. They lack Mane upfront and luiz diaz is injured and Nunez is becoming one of the worst transfers they had for a long time. This doesn't mean that we should be expecting them to play bad defense? Like what does that offense has anything to do with the fact that defense plays terribly. It's about not wanting, it's about passion. Maybe last years UCL loss made them feel terrible and can't bring themselves to play or something.

But it's obvious, trent, vvd, they are all playing like they just don't want to be on the field, and that is causing them to be much worse players than we know they could be. This is psychological more than anything else.
191  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: December 29, 2022, 01:19:50 PM
So have not checked the full list but is there any winner of even $100 from the forum? I am also not on the list but didn't consider myself unlucky as have not able to collect much tickets but congratulations to all winners and duelbits team for organizing this big Christmas giveaway and the one with $100,000 jackpot is definitely having a amazing time celebrating his such big win.
We will have to wait and see but I am pretty sure that it is not going to be that easily public, most people do not want to be known and that is why it is going to be more about them hiding it if they could. I don't know if we could figure out who is who, like how that would work and all but if I had won anything (which I haven't) then I would have hide it and not say anything instead, would be a lot better in the long run for sure.

This is why it is quite important to focus on the winner list as a whole instead of relation to bitcointalk, and if someone comes out and says it then we could be happy for them but that's about it, not really a big deal if nobody shows up.
192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: December 28, 2022, 09:54:10 PM
Maybe best for you guys to stop following those people who have track records trying to manipulate the minds of people for their own gains so that you will not get wrong information which can possibly make you become a bag holder on what they are currently promoting.  Best always to follow your own instinct so better be more knowledgeable than waiting for other people to give a news about what you are trying to gain.
I think this is only bad if the coin that they manipulate or being talked about are foreign to us but if it's about Bitcoin then it's a good thing because a lot of us BTC hodlers can also benefit about it and isn't it great to hear a positive word like this? You know the fear of the people now got even higher after some crypto coins and crypto exchangers collapsed.

I didn't expect that Elon will say something like this because what I know is that he still hates BTC and prefer some shitcoins. Sadly BTC didn't gain a lot but if this happened to doge then for sure its value are going to sky rocket in an instant. BTC on 2023 is obviously not going to die while I also don't think if there's a pump that will happen but let see if what 2023 has in store for us.
193  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 28, 2022, 09:08:47 PM
It is quite interesting that someone would imagine they could lose money on Stake and then somehow turn it around and blame Drake for being liable because he gambles here too. It's really not normal how some people are feeling entitled, and I mean like it's bigger than kings of some eras, they are literally considering that the whole world owes them their worth just to keep the life going, and when that doesn't happen they feel like they could somehow punish those who has not bowed down to them so far.

Obviously that's not the reality and it won't happen at all but why some people become like this is beyond my understanding in the end.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is BTC to the Society? on: December 28, 2022, 02:54:01 PM
In my country, there are thousand of people who quit their job and started to either full-time trade crypto or they are working in the crypto world. Like for example, I know so many developers who used to work as junior developers in companies and got paid somewhere close to 400$ per month, and now the same people work for 1-3k dollars a month for crypto companies for the same skills that they have. Sure the language is a bit different but they say this is easier than regular development works.

So, it is clear that redistribution of wealth could be a lot easier thanks to crypto, and bringing foreign currency into nation is a lot easier this way as well.
195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cycles, this is the cyclical minimum on: December 26, 2022, 09:48:01 PM
How wonderful if bitcoin reaches $200k in the next cycle. With that price, I assume bitcoin will become more valuable than the most valuable stock in the world which I believe is reasonable enough. Although the growth of stocks might also increase a lot by that time and some of them might reach $5 trillion or even more. But bitcoin by 2025 priced at around $4 trillion in market cap is huge. In order to achieve it, adoptions may need to happen, probably another country or more will adopt bitcoin as a legal currency.
$200k is not easy but it needs a lot of money so yeah. Once BTC reached it, it can now bypass other valuable stocks and other investment assets. Not only that but people will now value their BTC more. They will now hardly spend it and they will only stack more coins in their bags because they already have an idea that BTC has a lot of potential.

I do not think the growth of the stocks can rise because of that but it will decrease more actually because many stocks investors will be attracted to BTC. They think investing in stocks is a waste of time because they can only earn less after hodling it for a very long time but if only they do that in BTC, they can earn much more.
196  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 26, 2022, 06:16:31 PM
It is also important to remember that Stake offers 50$ for the first 25 messages, and then a lot of money if you keep writing even more. This means that if you are willing to post as much as 20 per day, then you are going to get paid a hefty amount, but if you are not willing to do that, and want to write like 4 per day type of deal, then you could find more than 50 bucks per week.

That is why I believe some people go with other places, I have seen as high as 70 even 80 bucks for hero/legendary accounts per week for their 25 messages, that is the highest you could get for 25 messages, whereas Stake offers as high as 160 dollars if you write 20+ per day, so it all depends how much you want to work, some people prefer working lesser.
197  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: December 25, 2022, 09:21:55 PM
in my case, in the world cup challenge, I didn't win anything, unfortunately I wasn't lucky to have won at least a penny, I agree with you that in all these challenges, or at least most of the challenges, the whales or the people who put them have an advantage a lot of money in the casino to play with, people who can play with 10,000$ or more per week, they get more chances when it comes to any contest that involves buying a ticket or something else

the world cup challenge was a great example of a challenge where both people who have a lot of money and people who don't have a lot of money would have the same chances of winning the contest, but these types of challenges are not profitable for the casino, at least they are not very profitable, I think that way because people were participating in the contest without spending money and the casino would be spending money on having to pay them when they win, contests that involve buying tickets and whales buy a lot of tickets so casinos win a lot in this type of contest, just like the lottery in the real world, the rich are the ones who have the greatest chance of winning the lottery, strange that in the past on TV they showed faces of poor people who won the lottery, today they are very rare cases in which they see someone without money win the lottery the maximum prize
That has been the case for every single bit of promotions there has been in any casino ever. Even in raffle type stuff, even though we have a chance with a single ticket, the guy with 5 million tickets because he wagered 150 bitcoins total would have a bigger chance.

I have to say that life is not always fair and it should not be "fair" it should be just, and that means the guy with that much money at risk is providing something more to a casino and they should get more because of it, you and I not having that much money is not the whales fault, and why should be try to balance the rewards towards people like us when whale did nothing wrong and deserves what they have.
198  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 24, 2022, 09:16:23 PM
Betting a lot more on Christmas month is not really a shocker because a lot of people have a lot more free time during this period, which gives us the chance to wager even more.

Doubling the monthly bonus, or having some extras per day like we have seen so far, is not really a big deal because it is marketing tool used by stake to get you to spend that extra free time here. I find it quite happy coincidence that the biggest rewards usually come from the most common holiday times.

The real question is, would people gamble on Christmas, or would they rather sit down and relax and have some fun. I think it is quite important to do a little bit of both, and stake is a good place for it.
199  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚖️ Crypto Gambling Foundation ⚖️ - Fair Gambling For All on: December 24, 2022, 12:38:02 PM
Is my transaction history at Stake provably fair?
Afaik probably fair only applied to the games, to verify if they are legit or not so the answer to your question is no.

Please explain the stupid part of this question?

Please take a look at my Statistics: https://ibb.co/vYXRGnc

What do the BTC, ETH and USDT amounts below "Wagered" represent?

They represent the total amount of BTC, ETH and USDT that you wagered.

Based on what do you conclude that they represent the total amounts I wagered and not partial amounts I wagered?

Idk if he plays there or not but what he said is true. I know because do play on stake too. I think common sense is only needed here. How can those numbers be a partial amount? They are too huge but by the way, have you already tried clicking on that "request statistic" button? I think that should give you a more detailed overview or breakdown about your statistics. Maybe that is the one that can help solve your problem.

Most of the users here on this thread face the same issue I faced. I also tried to contact GCF, but it remained unresponsive.
I don't know why there isn't any response from them, but this should be addressed to them properly, and they must respond to us.

May I ask how much you waited for their reply and what channel you used to try to reach out?

I am afraid this lack of response could be a signal of neglect towards this project, probably the whole idea has lost some momentum, which would be sad.
Also, I assume people who is supposed to look after this Foundation also manage their own casinos or business, resulting on them having not enough time to properly update and reply inquiries as they are supposed to.

But, you won't ask if what is that problem he is talking about? He doesn't look like he owns a casino and I think this thread is supposed to be for the casino owners only or the ones that would like to partner with the crypto gambling foundation. As a regular customer on of the casinos listed on here, the ones that we must contact are the casino itself and not the cgf.
200  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum desktop wallet question. on: December 23, 2022, 07:46:54 PM
I think it's almost impossible to memorize a private key, so no, you are not going to enter them manually using your keyboard but you are only going to copy and paste them using your mouse. You are right, it seems that you are only paranoid because electrum is one of the most recommended wallet here in cryptos for both desktop and mobile.

If you want to be secure then I think having a good antivirus in your pc can help you detect and remove those hidden malwares in your machine. This should give you a confidence that no one is spying on you whenever you deal with sensitive activities such as opening a crypto wallet.
