181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 26, 2017, 10:25:42 AM
I'm having similar issues, with less miners, of course.

My monthly profits read about 30% less (in btc) then they were just a few days ago, something's strange.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash Scrypt Mining HORRIBLE PAYOUT for Antminer L3+ on: August 17, 2017, 01:37:00 PM
I don't know, NH still beats classic solo/pool mining in terms of value for L3+,
which alternative do you suggest?

PS, I'm getting way higher numbers, something is not right in your situation.
183  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: August 17, 2017, 12:36:26 PM
Short question, I got a decent bit of scrypt mining power renting on nicehash, yet it always reports my hashrate considerably lower than it really is, like 10% lower.
Is that a reason to be concerned?

Also the rejected shares are between 0.3 and 1.8%, is that normal?
I'm from EU, and using EU server (amsterdam one). I'm obviously more concerned about the 10% lower hash report rate.

Thanks

Anybody?
I'm getting up to 20% lower reported hashrate than I'm giving out, these aren't negligible numbers.
Xn sub turned on, of course.

Thanks

You only have to go few posts back and you see my link to the video that explains everything.
Ordering is done via e-mail.

Ups, sorry, thanks.

I just read the first page.  Embarrassed

186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080 ti weak OC on: August 15, 2017, 05:00:24 PM
I got a similar problem with mine.

I got one rig of ti's (5 cards), it's running sort of ok, 740ish on zec, but one card declines to 600 after 30 minutes, ALWAYS.
If I try to overclock - the rig dies and needs to be reset. 1500w psu.

The other rig (asus ti's), simply cant run 5 cards with 1500w psu, I burned through 5 MB's while trying to get it to work.
Simply cant. I think I'll need at least 1600w psu, but that is strange since HQ platinum/titanium PSUs can draw up to 20% more power,
at least for a short time. Maybe something else is my problem, but I tried different risers, procs, etc...

Can this be bought? Like right now?

Or same as Bitmain, waiting for a few months?
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 07, 2017, 07:52:30 AM
It's not greed, just for the sake of testing, and exactly - why it that option even there...
Anyways, be careful - and DO NOT touch the overclocking tab.

good luck everyone!
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 06, 2017, 01:58:13 PM
guys, just a friendly warning, DO NOT try to overclock the device, I seem to have fried mine, it was all good until I upped the freq. to 400+
now I'm seeing a LOT of xxx's and resetting or underclocking wont help. It is wasted. EVGA psu, room temp at around 27 celsius....

Pls be careful with your devices.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 04, 2017, 01:49:59 PM
DO NOT OVERCLOCK THE MACHINE!

I burned one of mine at just 430ish frequency! I have to admit the temperatures were pretty high.
This is a friendly advice.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: July 25, 2017, 05:42:11 PM
Who knows man, a lot can happen in a year. We'll see x number of turmoils like this.

I decided not to buy it personally, I'd rather put 1 btc now and hodl 300k sia.
Actually I bought millions back when it was 10 satoshis, but sold it. Cheesy
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash price will go upto $1000 [Hold your coins] on: July 25, 2017, 05:38:45 PM
I'm fairly sure nvidia will pump it, cause after all - ZEC is what's selling hundreds of thousands green team's GPUs (if not millions)...

Hah, I'm waiting for a few of these babies of my own to come.

Anyways, whats a custom PSU? Is it a computer psu like corsair, evga or?
Pls let me know the consumption when you can.

I tested my L3 with few PSUs.

Gold - around 395W
Platinum - around 375W
Titanium - around 360W

its a server psu, unsure on make off the top of my head, will update you this evening Cheesy

Sure, thanks, I'm very interested in how efficient they are.

Not related, but - which PSU are you using (Bitmain or computer psu) and whats the power draw?
Thanks
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: July 22, 2017, 01:55:37 PM
Do you have PCIe Gen 2 enabled on bios?

It's put on "auto".

hey bulletdodger, so try this:  update your motherboard BIOS to the latest version, It will have multi-gpu support.  Also enable 4g encoding in your motherboard bios.  Also, do this first:  run DDU, uninstall in safe mode, then re-install drivers, but a different version (or latest).  sometimes rigs just need a little bit of DDU love

hmmm, interesting, thanks for the advice, I'll try it.

Hey guys,
my first bigger problem with the miner:
I have MSI armor 1080ti's (5 of them), and I tried running every card individually and they work fine,
but when I plugin all 5 of them - "display driver crashed" and freezes.

- it aint the PSU, it is titanium Corsair top model with a lot of buffer left
- it aint risers, cause they've been tested individually also
- it aint MOBO, I guess? dont really know how to check that - but it's brand new.
- it aint the miner, cause it works with my other 1080tis...
- it aint the drivers, cause I tried the last 3 versions
- it aint the heat, cause it's under AC
- it aint the overclock, cause it isn't overclocked, all stock settings.

Please help me out here, I've spend the whole day tinkering about it with no results.

Anyone experienced this?
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: July 21, 2017, 03:02:33 PM
Yeah, Bitmain told me nothing is written ON THE box itself,
but they weren't conclusive if there is something inside.

It's important cause it defines how much will I pay for import.

Bitmain declares full face value on any customs forms. This is why you local customs has a good idea of the value on Bitmain shipments. Like others have stated you are likely losing more money trying to find a way to pay less.

Other companies will declare a lesser value to avoid this issue.

Thats the info I need!
And that is the question I needed to find out about. Thank you.

The package is not here yet - it is INCOMING and they have a notification about it, and second - my country has huge import taxes, thats why I asked.

Anybody got any info from Bitmain about shipping of the next batch?

They should ship the July batch as we speak, but I didn't hear back from them.

just got mine! paid $1445 shipped

Hey mine are here too, the customs ask me what is the value of the package?

Did Bitmain write any value on the box or inside it??

Thanks a lot!

Normally it should be on the outside. if customs asks you it can be 2 reasons.

1) They forgot or its damaged and not readable (maybe they put the invoice inside. That happened me once before)
2) Customs doesn't believe the price written on the invoice and wants to clarify it with you.

Just send them a print from your invoice (what you paid) and all is good.

Hey Albortz,
I spoke with Bitmain, they said they HAVEN'T printed the value anywhere on the box,
but it's unclear if it is printed somewhere INSIDE the box, on a sheet of paper or something?

Can somebody who got the latest shipment confirm that please? Is the package value written anywhere?
Wisdomofsol?
thanks
