Hey guys,
my first bigger problem with the miner:
I have MSI armor 1080ti's (5 of them), and I tried running every card individually and they work fine,
but when I plugin all 5 of them - "display driver crashed" and freezes.

- it aint the PSU, it is titanium Corsair top model with a lot of buffer left
- it aint risers, cause they've been tested individually also
- it aint MOBO, I guess? dont really know how to check that - but it's brand new.
- it aint the miner, cause it works with my other 1080tis...
- it aint the drivers, cause I tried the last 3 versions
- it aint the heat, cause it's under AC
- it aint the overclock, cause it isn't overclocked, all stock settings.

Please help me out here, I've spend the whole day tinkering about it with no results.

Anyone experienced this?

hey bulletdodger, so try this:  update your motherboard BIOS to the latest version, It will have multi-gpu support.  Also enable 4g encoding in your motherboard bios.  Also, do this first:  run DDU, uninstall in safe mode, then re-install drivers, but a different version (or latest).  sometimes rigs just need a little bit of DDU love

It's put on "auto".

I bet it's a MSI mobo.
I have one rig with that mobo and it occasionnaly hangs. (5 1070s + 1 1080 TI)
I am installing most recent driver using clean install option right now. We'll see what happens.

yeah you need pcie on gen 1 or 2, not auto to be sure it works.  And yeah, MSI motherboards...the only ones who game me trouble were MSI, for some reason.  but they end up working after updates, just not out of the box.

Any Idea on driver version and OC settings for the GTX 1060 3GB.  Stupid Nvidia should have just done what they did with the 1050's.

It's mobo not compatible with OS. I have ASUS mobo with 5 slots and only 3 of them working great, after 4th one - freezing or crashing. You should try linux or change the mobo.
One more thing. Windows can't play more than 8 cards at one mobo, but some linux distros can go up to and more than 13teen

From my expierence. I am buying cheap Asrock H81m-G with 4 slots just because it is stable as rock and pretty cheap. If you want to expand your mobo with no wattage loss, you can buy a pci express extender an connect to the last PCIx slot. So achievment - up to 7 slots for ~85 USD in combo.
If you are freak, you can go for dual psu and connect the second pciexpress extender for extra +3 PCIx. So the sum of 10 PCIexpress with still the same asrock h81m-G and mess of wires. Tested on ubuntu 16.04

It varies from specific model to model, but we generally have found that our GTX 1060 3GB GPUs do best at somewhere in between +75-125 on the Core with Memory at stock and power limit at 80%, at least for mining Equihash based coins. 382.33 drivers

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/msi-bios-cryptocurrency-mining-performance,34972.html
MSI has resolved this issue by adding a new "above 4G decoding" BIOS option that allows you to utilize up to six graphics cards on a 100-series motherboard. The company has released updated BIOS files that address PCI-E device recognition on several of its motherboards, including the Z170-A Pro, Z170 Krait Gaming , Z170A SLI Plus, Z170A Krait Gaming, Z170A Krait Gaming 3X, Z270-A Pro, and the H270-A Pro.
Once the BIOS is updated, you can then navigate to the Settings\Advanced\PCI Subsystem Setting tab and set the “Above 4G memory / Crypto Currency mining” option to “enabled.”
Given that this issue can be rectified with a BIOS update, we expect other manufacturers to follow MSI’s lead with updates of their own.

Uhhmm, super new to mining, but I've used version 0.3.4b for about a month, but Win10 had an update (I think) and now my batch file won't even run??? It crashes immediately after running. Here's a vid of exactly what happens: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-8SbupOAHSJR3p4MTZMeW5lM28.

I have a fairly fresh install of Win10 too! I have another rig that's even older and has more junk on it with the same gpu (GTX 1070) and it hasn't encountered any issues. Any and ALL help/suggestions are appreciated. Sad

I don't see miner.exe file in your folder.
Maybe that's why it doesn't start.
I know in Claymore for example, first word in your .bat file must be the name of miner.exe file

Gosh I can't believe I'm so blind... I updated my antivirus and I had to clear it since it kept flagging as a false positive on ESET NOD32... -_- NEVERMIND ALL! <3 Keep up the great work ya'll are doing.

You can create exceptions for folders and files.  So, for me I just created a folder where I put all my mining software and then created a rule to not have that folder and all subfolders not be protected by the antivirus/ malware program.
