minimal 0.1 for BIN or 0.02 higher when it is above

yes it is going on Smiley

Xanidas,

can you clarify the BIN rules?  Did the last bid meet your conditions, as it was > .02.

IOW, is this auction still going on?

Thanks,
Tommy
Oh I see, thanks!

Looks like the trust system is being misused.

Sweminer777, please remove negative trust with Zepher, Defcon, and anyone else.

Zepher and Defcon have not betrayed your trust. They may have insulted you, but they didn't deceive you in any way.  That is what the trust system is about.  It is to give reviews for people who you have done business with, not for being vindictive because of some online insults and jokes.  Just don't let anyone get under your skin about your coin.

Once you get your coin valued, you can set an appropriate price.  In the meantime, take the high road.  (No, I'm not telling you to get high...in fact I think you may be a little too high! Cheesy )   Just kidding!

This is an extremely compelling thread about a compelling member!

i bet he is some rich guy who wants to help people.
good job and keep it up.
cheers!
-Katerniko1

That's definitely the case. I observed him a bit since some time and it's pretty clear that he is a nice guy who gets joy from helping others. I think you have to hand pick people like him on the bitcointalk forum so i did not find anything bad about him.

I realize i didn't trust him yet. I would trust him anytime. Tongue

Good for you! How big of a gift card did he give to earn buy your trust?

On the one hand, you have people claiming he is a scammer.  You know, if it's to good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true.

And then people like these 2 who see him as a rare breed, a benevolent soul, bailing people out in need, and putting a smile on his own face.

I hope he comes back soon.  The last time he was online was a couple of weeks ago.  He has to be the most intriguing and interesting member I have read about!  I read about the scammers like coinographic and others, but this is something completely different!

I gotta side with Katerniko1.  My best guess:  he was an early adopter of btc, back when they were cheap, like less than a buck.  He bought a lot of them, and he hit the mother lode.   He became rich overnight!  Well not overnight, but over a few years (assuming he bought in 2009, and he has been doing good since bitcoin peaked at $1200 in 2013.  But I am guessing he no longer has to work another day in his life.

But, he still has challenges with everyday life, based on his username and the title of the thread.  So, he is rich, but he is still working on finding happiness and serenity.

I could be wrong, especially about how he got rich.  Maybe he was already rich.  But it is my best guess, and I hope we see signs of BiPolarBob again!  Smiley

192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Is Bitcoin Trading and Why It's risky? on: August 09, 2016, 12:54:31 AM
With the example u gave , still there is a risk , what if you buy Bitcoin at $550 and 30minutes later it drops to $130? You see there is a risk involved

This is one of the biggest risks.  Because the price of bitcoin is so volatile, the above scenario is possible.  I have bought btc at a price that I thought was really good, and then, before I could resell, the price dropped due to news events like the bitfinex hack.  So, if you are going to buy and resell, you may want to resell quickly to reduce your risks.

Another risk is the scammers out there.  I would first start with trading in person.  I would stay away from reversible payment methods, like paypal.

And yet another risk is that if your bank suspects that you are trading bitcoin, your account could be shut down.  You will eventually get your money back, but it may be tied up with your bank for weeks, meaning you have to factor in the opportunity costs.

Some exchanges do not like you trading bitcoin on other exchanges!  Childish I know, but I personally know traders who got their itbit account closed because people were reselling on localbitcoins.

193  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: August 08, 2016, 05:38:24 PM
Advice, tips, speculation please.

I agree with the many who said that the 12 btc is an investment itself.  Leaving them alone is probably the least risky thing you can do with them.  Plus it won't eat up your time and it probably won't raise your stress level.

But, depending on your risk level and your desire to do something a little more exciting than just holding and waiting, 2 possible things to look into are:

1) Buying a physical crypto coin with a couple of the btc.  You can go on collectibles section of this forum and take part in an auction or a sale.  The safest physical coin imo is a casascius coin.  The pros: if you hold onto the physical coin long enough, they can, possibly, end up being worth a lot.  The cons: you're still holding onto a coin, it only makes you money if you hold onto it for the long term, and you have the potential of getting scammed.

2) If you're daring, you could get into trading/arbitrage.  The pros: if you do it well, you can make a good deal of profit.  The cons: there is a steep learning curve!  Again, scammers left and right. Also, to do it well, you have to spend a lot of time...many people do it as a part-time job or even a full-time job. To learn more about this, I would read the forums on localbitcoins.com, and figure what the safest, easiest method would be for you to buy and sell.  (From my own experience, meeting people in person in public places is the best way to start.)

Things to stay away from would be cloud mining and running your own faucet.  From what I have read, these are either scams and/or time and money wasters.

Too late to get in on this?

I have been looking at this thread for a week.  I just can't get that patinated bull out of my head!  Please put me down for one loaded, if it is not too late Cheesy

Thanks, MJ!

I put in a request for both of you directly to Denarium.
I am waiting for their response. (It is Sunday, so maybe they are resting Cheesy )

thanks

Just a friendly bump on this thread and to see if there is any update.  I know that a couple of us latecomers  Roll Eyes  are crossing fingers...

Thanks, MJ, no rush, I know you have your hands full  Smiley

Why are you going with laser printing vs. a poker chip maker?  Isn't it more expensive going 3d?  I am curious, because I too am from the U.S.  I like the Satori.  I paid someone from Europe for a couple of the Satoris and they feel really nice!

Good luck with your project, killyou72 Smiley

But what was confusing was you kept wording of the OP as reading that the winner would be recieiving the Ometepl, and the other coins.  I guess the lesson is live and learn, etc.
199  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Silver Coin Raffle for Minerjones family on: July 29, 2016, 04:23:44 AM
This is a bump, all of the other auctions/raffles did great but mine Sad

Well, killyou72, I think your raffle got off to a strange start.  Believe me, I was this close to buying ALL of the tickets!  I was inspired by fluffypony, and I thought that I would just match his bid- imagine giving .5 for a good cause!  And thinking that I am going to get an Ometeotl antique silver plated along with a Lealana, a cascascious and a Bitcoin Penny!   That's the way I read it anyhow.  Then Owicatz even questioned you whether it was a parody or not, and you replied that the OP had been updated.  I would have been really upset if all I was getting was a silver coin.  It didn't help with your thread that you were doing something like claiming you have new NSFW photos and really having them lifted from other sites.

killyou72, I think you are a solid addition to the bitcoin community, and I do like your idea for a cheap bitcoin, like poker chips.  I take that back: I love that idea!!!

So, I would really consider what you post here on the forums.  Once it's out there, it's forever.  It gets archived, and everybody can see the original post- the one that started on May 10th, but was switched to a Miner Jones raffle.  You were offline when I was thinking of buying, and I figured if that I would wait another 8 hours, and I would get an explanation.  Sure enough, you had made an edit to the OP to clear up any misconceptions, and I am glad I waited.

I honestly think if you up your game, don't piss off any other member of the community, especially a respected contributors, and be upbeat and realistic, it will make a difference.  Keep up the good behavior and get rid of the bad behavior, and people will consider your raffles more professional, on par with your mentor(s).  I for one would consider entering one of your future raffles if they were like Defcon's, Anon's MJs and others.

Anyhow, I did manage to get .2 to the addy in the OP.  Cheesy
