181  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitFlyer the world's largest bitcoin exchange Jan 2017? How? on: February 15, 2017, 01:01:05 PM
Zero-fee. Nuff said.
I didn't know there are zero fee exchanges unless i saw an article recently regarding the volume shifting from Chinese exchanges to Japanese exchanges because of the regulation ,how does an exchange make a profit with zero fees.

183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have Banks conspired to Kill Bitcoin Startups? on: February 14, 2017, 11:19:28 PM
You really need the help and corporation of the bank if you are planning to start a bitcoin exchange and if you are not able to start a current account with a bank then your business model is doomed unless you find another alternative. It is not about conspiring and stuff rather ignorance about what bitcoin is all about.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: February 14, 2017, 09:58:52 PM
They are afraid that people on a certain country will fully switch to bitcoin and with that thing happen problem will arise regarding on implementing tax and thats the time the government will have a very big problem because most people do already have the control on their money unlike on banks which is regulated by the government.
There wont be any tax difficulties and you must consider bitcoin as an asset ,for example if you are investing in bonds you are not paying tax for the amount in bound but you only pay the tax when you are converting or selling it for cash and that is the case with bitcoin too.

186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: February 14, 2017, 09:36:10 PM

187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese banks invest in local bitcoin exchange on: February 14, 2017, 09:27:00 PM
Although this does sound like a great thing for bitcoin, will it not also have the undesired result of further centralizing bitcoin to the Asiatic countries? Not trying to FUD, was simply my first thought after reading this.
No one is holding any country back .Anyone can invest like those Asian countries and with the way how bitcoin mining works if you are able to invest heavily into mining you will have certain perks with the amount of hash power you generate. When China started regulating bitcoin now its the chance for Japan.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we ReBrand Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2017, 09:23:48 PM
Re-branding bitcoin will result in an Alt coin. Bitcoin will remain bitcoin.

By the way, who are the we in Should we ReBrand Bitcoin?
He just wanted to know how people will react to this new idea of re branding bitcoin. It is a simple thought he would like to debate. But you said the answer  because if you re brand bitcoin it will be a new alt coin and we have a couple of thousand coins for that matter.  Smiley

190  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make 17 BTC out of 7 BTC ? on: December 14, 2016, 01:02:45 PM
its not easy to make 17 btc out of 7 btc, but not impossible to get it if do you have a skill in trading or gambling. remember! high risk high rewards.
Trading and gambling are the only possible solution here to increase your coins but then there are many ICO too which would earn a substantial good amount of money for your investments ,only thing is you have to do your home work before investing.

193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: December 13, 2016, 11:57:02 PM
Obviously taxes apply in most (all?) countries.
But I wonder if there is any place on Earth that has no taxes associated with bitcoin? Like maybe Dubai?
Anyone know this?
There is no tax at all in Dubai let alone paying taxes for bitcoin and so is the case with most of the GCC countries we do not have to pay taxes but i am not sure about the living conditions .
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2016, 11:54:17 PM
I think there's a lot of people who uses bitcoin, especially now that the technology is getting brighter and more high tech. There are a lot of people still learning about Bitcoin every day, maybe through transactions, other people, etc. Maybe other people just doesn't use it because of the possible scams also. There are a lot of close-minded people that just don't want to research what Bitcoin is.
The technology is brighter and more high tech for a long time and it is not a new phenomenon .You cannot really predict the actual number of bitcoin users but there are many new people interested in the technology and with ample time more people will be aware of bitcoin.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Ixcoin dies then Bitcoin is also doomed on: December 13, 2016, 11:14:42 PM
They don't correlate, Ixcoins greatest strength was being merge mined with bitcoin it is also it's greatest weakness.

What I posted a couple of years ago:

Will be interesting to see if the pools that are merge mining IXC bother to keep doing it with no reward.  There is also the risk that if one with a large amount of hash decided to stop it suddenly then you end up with very slow blocks because I think the adjustment is 2016 blocks like bitcoin.

And what is Bitcoin's greatest strength if not its security?  Take that away and the network effect means nothing.  IXcoin is Bitcoin'a twin and it does correlate.  Behold, the future of Bitcoin!

~CfA~
so you are the developer behind the coin. But i am hearing about this coin for the first time ,may be because i am a late entrant in the bitcoin and alt coin atmosphere ,what special security does bitcoin has ?
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do Bitcoins really circulate into users? on: December 13, 2016, 10:32:25 PM
Bitcoins are really becoming known due to its price and demand. But how do really Bitcoins circulate into users? Does it circulate like a real money that circulate as a tax. Can someone explain it sir?

Thank you.

Yes. That's right. But it's hard to circulate to bitcoin in life world. Most of operations and circulations are provided through the internet.
what was that again  Cheesy bitcoin is popular because of its demand and so does the price increase. How does real money circulate as tax ? what is real life circulation  ? Bitcoin is a decentralized p2p token which can be exchanged for cash  Smiley
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: December 13, 2016, 10:18:29 PM
Bitcoin never dies,

Nothing ever dies, until it is dead.
I wonder why those who are not sure and doubt in life bitcoin still there in this forum. Why write the opposite and they say it is.
The people who cry about bitcoin being dead are mere scums who just want to see an response with what they have said because in real life no one accepts their words so they come out in forum and utter these foolish things to get some reaction out of it  Grin
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting porn sites to accept bitcoin on: December 13, 2016, 08:45:41 PM
One thing that struck my mind, is that people are not afraid they will go to jail by advertiving a porn. In many countries prostitution is not illegal but having a gains from it and not participate in the act is indeed illegal. Having your bitcoins confiscated and dumped on the market would do noone a favour.
Prostitution does mean that you are having monetary gains with it and are you trying to tell that in most countries prostitution is legal or illegal as both have different meaning altogether  Wink Even if bitcoins are confiscated they will not just dump on the market instead they will have an auction to sell those coins  Smiley
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with lost bitcoins on: December 13, 2016, 08:35:09 PM
If you could recover your lost bitcoins then it would be easier for me  to recover my coins which i lost when my system crashed ,the coins once lost are lost forever and i am not happy with the situation but then you have to accept it ,lesson i learned is to take back ups and have it in multiple safe locations.
200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: December 13, 2016, 08:31:04 PM
Not only in Philippines but many other countries also banned online gambling, So if you want access these online gambling sites then only option is using VPN or proxy ip's.

In India also all kinds of gambling is banned but still people access these online gambling sites using proxies but most of the new sites you can access without any proxy.

Whatever you do, do not use VPN or proxies to access gambling site if they are illegal in your country.  The site could lock your account and freeze your funds.  It would be better to stay away from online gambling completely than risk losing your money.

why would a site lock any account if someone is accessing the site using an VPN what is wrong in that. If at all the gambling site freezes the account it is plain cheating as long you have not committed any fraud. Bitcoin gambling is the future and we do not need to verify anything in that. I am not sure about other sites.
