181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For how long will bitcoin exist on: March 16, 2018, 01:34:47 AM
i have been thinking bitcoin cannot last forever..............i need you guys opinion if what im thinking is right.

Of course, Bitcoin will not last forever. But is there anything that does? Well, even the entire universe will not last forever. What do you think?

What I know for sure though is that Bitcoin will not die in the next fifty years. This is more than enough for me to continue trusting it. For as long as I am alive, Bitcoin will be the one to give me the key to my dreams. I am sure that Bitcoin will give me a more wealth in the future. If Bitcoin is lower than $10,000 right now, it's not a biggie to me. I am seeing a $100,000 price per BTC in the next couple of years. That is what's more important to me. And I am very much willing to wait. A couple of years is not that long enough for a treasure as big as that.
182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't look at btc every five minutes on: March 15, 2018, 03:54:47 AM
This is a mistake a lot of us make. If you track btc every minute you are more prone to panic selling. Btc has a lot of ups and downs, if you are in it long term the short price has little meaning

Looking at the price every five minutes is a sort of a suicide if the market is very red. The first time you see that the market is red, you will probably just accept it as a normal occurrence in a fluctuating market. The second time you check and it is getting worse you will start to get disappointed because it even went lower. The third time you checked the prices again and they all went even lower, you will start to get depressed. This will go on and on until the prices are getting really low and your esteem is also getting lower and lower until such time you will have a very bad day and you will start to get easily pissed off by little yet friendly jokes by your friends.

And then you go to your room and start to check the charts once again and then all of a sudden you remember your father's gun inside your mother's closet and... Chill! This last paragraph is an exaggeration... that may come true if you do not heed the advice of the OP.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best place to advertise cryptocurrencies? on: March 14, 2018, 07:51:57 AM
Hi! How do you think, which places are the best to advertise your cryptocurrency at?

Youtube, Twitter and Facebook seems not to be doing any big changes. We have ordered Youtube Adwords for our video which got us around 40K views; Twitter has Over 5K followers, Facebook has almost 1K followers, but nothing of these types of advertising seem to be doing any good. How do you guys think, what is the best place to advertise cryptocurrency?

Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook are all good media in terms of cryptocurrency advertisements. However, it is also true that many viewers of these ads are not in any way giving important attention to them. They are more focused in what they are doing there, which is definitely not looking for a good crypto to invest in. And so I think you better extend your advertisement to some sites that are primarily focusing or catering cryptocurrency-related discussion or updates. You may try the likes of coinmarketcap or the popular crypto magazines and online news.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Country and Cryptos on: March 14, 2018, 07:03:16 AM
I guess crypto and Bitcoin are more accepted in your country as compared to mine. I am from a country that is already aware of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency (I mean, who has not heard of it yet?) but whose knowledge about them are sorely lacking. And we are expecting that whatever law or policy or any regulatory measures coming from the concerned government agencies will not be an efficient or informed one. However, I am expecting that the more popular Bitcoin and crypto gets, the more informed our government officials would be. And hopefully, this would result in a more favorable decision regarding crypto.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: March 13, 2018, 02:41:14 AM
What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?

I have not set a certain percentage of growth in my portfolio as my exit point. I am setting a certain portion of my portfolio for long term hodling. And by long term I mean it will be there indefinitely. For as long as I do not need to withdraw a huge amount for something urgent, I will leave it there in my wallet. Another portion I devote to trading. This is what I manage in terms of entry and exit points. Sometimes I set a percentage, sometimes not. Sometimes I only set a little amount of growth in terms of price.
186  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is better Trade or Invest? on: March 13, 2018, 01:45:57 AM
Hi guys , Some of my friends are give me some ideas about Trading and Investing.

But i've some doubt which is better in that. What is the advantage and disadvantage? Because I want to focus on one at a time for generating source of income coz my funds are limited.

Can you give some of your useful ideas? I'm a begginer. I need some help. Thank you!

I prefer trading. If you have the determination to really focus on only one of these approaches, then you must also have the willingness to undergo a thorough process of learning the art of crypto trading. In the end, it would be much more profitable than just pure investing. Investing will take time to gain but it is a safer. Trading is like a game, but with a complete and brilliant analysis, you will always end up winning instead of losing. You just have to really study in trading. Investing does not require this. They just choose their best coins to buy and that's it.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard on: March 11, 2018, 08:05:15 AM
If we take the case of a man who is purely a smart worker against a man who is purely a hard worker, the winner will be the smart worker most of the time. I am not saying all of the time though. There are times when hard work will defeat all the odds. But that is more of an exception rather than the rule.

In my observation in the real world, there are those who are smart and yet lazy but ended up wearing a coat and tie and sitting on a chair in front of his laptop inside a cool and comfortable office. And then there are those who are very hardworking toiling under the sun all day long but always short in making ends meet.

Take note though that having both is much better and very possible.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: invest only in bitcoin? on: March 11, 2018, 04:40:23 AM
Hello,

A question of a beginner, I read several articles that say better invest in bitcoin only (most of articles are from 2015-2016), but as bitcoin exceeds now $2500, I do not know if this rule still holds.

I want to invest a lot of money (let's say $3000), but I do not know if I have to invest only in bitcoin or other alcoins? What do you recommend?

Thank you

I think it is much better not to put all your eggs in a single basket. The reason is very obvious. When something bad happens to the investment into which you put all your money, you have no more other ways to go. So you might want to explore some other coins. Although I would say that in terms of Bitcoin, it is really the safest and the most reliable cryptocurrency right now. But this is not to say that there are no more other promising cryptos out there that are also wise investments.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: While you are panicking.... on: March 10, 2018, 06:41:27 AM
While you are panicking over the decline in the price of bitcoin, the largest bitcoin holders will have an even more volume of bitcoins because of the panickers

How it is so great to become a large whale because of these weak hands! Buy the dip! This is so commonly advised all around here but it seems that some people cannot stand seeing their Bitcoins loss some value and ended up selling during the dip. What a joke! And then by the time the dip is over and Bitcoin is already starting to climb the charts once again, they also start to regret and buy Bitcoins once again with a much higher price.
190  Other / Archival / Re: Why to Invest in ICO? on: March 10, 2018, 05:57:29 AM
Why people invest in ICO when it is risky and these days most of the coins are dropping. Do you think ICOs are going to survive for a long time?

My guess is that ICOs will continue until the future years. As a matter of fact, in the face of all these dumping of altcoins and even Bitcoin, the number of ICOs are still growing big time. This is sure enough sign that people and even existing companies are still trusting ICOs as a means to launch their project for potential investors. And for as long as there are great ICOs out there, ICO investors will also grow huge. ICO investors are after all dependent on the ICOs that are offered in the market.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: March 09, 2018, 02:36:21 AM
All dreams have been shattered while the marketcap keeps falling every time I refresh coinmarketcap. I kept Hodling expecting it to be a small correction like the ones in 2017. Portfolio dropped more than 70% already  Cry and still dont see the bottom. Now I am wondering if it will recover to previous highs especially considering the China ban and regulations.  Cry Any thoughts?

The market will always recover. Well, it has always done that. It fell much deeper in the past and yet it is still very much alive until now. And so worry not, mate. Just keep calm and sit back. Enjoy the roller-coaster ride instead. We are not here in the crypto world for a very smooth ride. When we entered this market, we know for sure that there will be a rough terrain and a lot of bumps and turbulence along the way. And in the end we are still looking for a great ride.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Monero a Good Investment? on: March 08, 2018, 09:13:23 AM
I agree. Monero is a good investment. It has always been like that. From way back during the days of the silk road until now, Monero is a major player in the crypto world that is taking as one of its pride its anonymous feature. Monero has made this feature a little bit stronger and everything was changed when Monero was the only coin that came out truly anonymous during the silk road raids. This coin has already proven its worth.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn from Bitcoin through project? on: March 07, 2018, 08:10:44 AM
There are tons of ways people shared their ideas about bitcoin. However, is there a way to earn bitcoin aside from TRADING and Mining?

Have you not earned some tips on this from the tons of ways people share their ideas about Bitcoin? Trading and mining are the two major ways to earn Bitcoins. The two are the most popular ways to earn Bitcoin. The two are also demanding a lot from anyone who is interested to get into it.

If you want an easier way that does not demand any high level skill then you might want to join campaigns here in Bitcointalk. There are several tasks here that will pay you in Bitcoin or in altcoin which you can convert to Bitcoins later.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: March 06, 2018, 03:58:22 AM
I noticed that many investors were afraid to buy during ICO because their reason they are cheaper can be bought on market. Especially when they found out  that a large percentage is allotted in the bounty program. Many Bounty Hunters  immediately selling token/coin even lower than the ICO price.

#Datarius

It depends. There are also coins that pumped hard when it was introduced to the exchanges. But I have to admit that many of the coins are really dipping in price when they are already listed in exchanges. However, the ICO investors are not required to wait for the price to get level with the ICO price before selling because when they bought their coins during the ICO itself, they already received big bonuses plus discounts.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SAFE TRADING METHOD on: March 06, 2018, 03:22:31 AM
I think the most secure trading is to use some money from trading capital and use money that will not be in use for the near future,
for example I have $ 1000 and I need to use the money for my family's living needs, then I can use $ 250 for trading and the rest to survive, do you mean from this revelation?
this method is used so that you are not too depressed if the money you have stuck in the expensive price.

I think this is not really about trading method. This could be considered an investment method or an investment strategy. There is really no trading features involved in here. Anyway, the best investment strategy for me is always that invest only what you can afford to lose. Remember that investments have risks and one of the risks involved is that all your investment capitals will be gone. Now, in order for you not to keep thinking about it you need to accept that it could always go that way.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear of bitcoin on: March 04, 2018, 08:11:11 AM
Why are some governments so keen to prove that bitcoin is dangerous. Recently, the Indian government sent notifications to the citizens that they should not invest in bitcoin.

The Indian government is not saying that people should not invest in Bitcoin. This is another misunderstood statement that will only spread another FUD that is based on something that is not at all true. India is even saying that Bitcoin and crypto is allowed to continue existing in their countries. But people should not invest into it immediately if they have not yet done the necessary studying and analysis about its advantages and disadvantages. This is not what you are saying here.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: March 03, 2018, 11:28:40 AM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

The only coin that you think is not a scam is not even on the top 10 or 20 or 30 on the list. So you better study the other top coins out there because there are definitely more than just one legit altcoin out there. Bitcoin is the most trusted because it is the prime-mover so to speak. Bitcoin started everything. Bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrencies. It has earned the trust that people hardly gave to something that is radical as much as strange. Why? Because it offered something really new yet helpful.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tax on Bitcoin on: March 03, 2018, 10:40:30 AM
Crypto regulation in may countries are awaited. I believe that crypto regulation should be global (one world one rule). However many countries has regulated crypto due to the huge pressure of investors and traders. Being an honest trader/investor we all are ready to pay tax but that should be legitimate.

Well, you cannot do that. I mean the one world one rule kind of policy. That is not a good thing. Who will rule the world? Who will be assigned to craft laws and policies that will have an effect to the whole wide world of diverse cultures, economic status, beliefs, etc. You cannot apply a single law to the entire world, especially about tax laws. There are rich countries as there are poor ones. Regarding tax, it should be less than 5%. After all, this is not a fixed income. There are times when the market is dumping real hard.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀[BOUNTY][ICO]ATLANT REAL ESTATE PLATFORM[OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN]🚀🌟🌟 on: March 02, 2018, 10:57:08 AM
Dear ATLANT Bounty Participants,

As previously announced, distribution of ATLANT bounty will begin today.

All participants had enough time to verify addresses, thus as of March 1, 2018 address changes will not be accepted.

Please note the following details:

Each month, approximately one million ATL tokens will be distributed to bounty program participants, over a period of 18 months, proportionately.

Example: If you are due to receive 1800 ATL, you will receive 100 ATL per month, each month, until a total of 1800 ATL is reached.

Monthly distributions will be made during the first week of each calendar month.

Thank You,

ATLANT Team

We do understand your decision for Monthly distribution...

But 18 Months is a very long time in Crypto World

Do provide us complete assurance and create a smart contract with keeping total bounty amount in that...

than we will be happy to receive monthly distribution...

I hope everyone will agree with this

I am in favor of this suggestion. I hope the Atlant team will reconsider the 18-month period. That is indeed too long a time for the people to wait, most especially because they/we have already waited more than enough. Perhaps they could reduce it to 10 or 12 months.

I hope they will hear us out and do something about it. I know they are only protecting the value of ATL. I am actually in favor of this mode of payment since the bounty hunters are numbering to the thousands. They could easily cause the value of ATL turn to near zero.

Anyway, the Atlant Team should learn to be true to their commitments. They have been showing some signs of being amiss repeatedly.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: March 02, 2018, 09:59:08 AM
Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

I think this is generally good. In this case, there is an assurance that all the bounty participants are not hiding their identities and that they are clear from some security-related and fraudulent possibilities. This is also good so that the rule that nobody should be allowed to join multiple accounts in a single campaign is avoided. However, this is not being used by other projects because bounty hunters only receive a little portion of the coins. It will only amount to a little worth. They focus their KYC requirements to ICO participants.
