181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price in 2020. on: December 23, 2019, 12:48:56 PM
Currently, ETH price is at 127$. ETH has not done that well this year. And the altcoin market is very much dependent on the ETH price. So what value are you expecting during the upcoming year? Is there any possibility of recovery or it will keep continuing to go down?

I don't agree that the altcoin market is very much dependent on the ETH price. That is not true because each project has its own roadmap and performance. They are independent from each other. No doubt ETH will be back on its ATH, may not be next year but it will come. Next year, ETH should at least rise up to $1,000.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: problem sending ETH token to exchange on: December 23, 2019, 12:14:11 PM
The first problem is already solved right? Since that transaction is reverted it means the coins are sent back to your wallet. No problem at all about that.

The second problem is all about gas fees. Others are already giving you instructions on how to handle them properly. I guess that is already solved by now as well.

No more problems I guess?
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: India's Crypto Scene has a lot going on right now - Tezos on: December 23, 2019, 11:50:44 AM
If only India can be accommodating to cryptocurrencies, it can contribute a lot to its growth. India is a very populated country it can cause a strong mass adoption. Just like China, India has a strong and huge populace that will cause whatever decision of the government very influential to the crypto market. But unlike China, India is a democratic country that allows more freedom compared to China.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: New law enables german banks to sell and store cryptocurrencies in 2020 on: December 23, 2019, 11:29:27 AM
The most realistic approach is to cooperate. Because that's the situation. It is easy to oppose a new technology. Because in the early periods, their supporters are scarce. However, if something prohibited is beneficial, people's interest will increase. I think what needs to be done is to integrate it into the current economy.

Apparently the German government completely agrees with you on this one. Smiley

Imo, it's just a matter of time until every government will realize that it's disadvantageous, economically, to ignore cryptocurrencies any more. These currencies may not be perfect yet, because nothing is perfect in its early stage, but ignoring them is an economic suicide.

They are slowly getting into the game, one step at a time. Their resistance are now gone. Well, there are still some negative statements against cryptocurrencies but this is just the last round of their fight for the old system. Deep within them they are aware that the world of finance will have to open up for new innovations.
185  Economy / Economics / Re: WARNING: The central banks are currently manipulating the S&P 500 right now. on: December 15, 2019, 03:39:18 AM
WARNING: The central banks are currently manipulating the S&P 500 right now.

Be careful when trading the S&P 500 at this moment.

They have always been playing deep inside and at the background. The central banks are dirty players. They cannot just act as ordinary onlookers of the S&P 500 rise and fall. These are the 500 largest companies listed in the US stock exchange. This is very juicy for the people inside the central banks to resist.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance’s IEOs keep Dumping, but why? on: December 15, 2019, 03:06:53 AM
I dont see a reason why we specifically observed Binance IEOs, how about creating a general slice up of every major exchange such as Houbi, Okex, Gate, Kucoin and others right? It seems that the Binance are getting some fud here. Its not the Binance fault why the observation of their IEO on the downfall its the market who decide.
This is just a game of whales. Not just the IEO project, look at others, TOMO was pumped x2 last night for a few hours and then returned to the previous value, I think this market is no longer suitable for small investors. The value of the project does not seem to depend on quality and achievements, it only depends on the benefits of a few small groups.

No, this is not a game anymore. The fall is rather continuous. The fall in Matic's price has been happening in a few days already. The fall is not normal even. It is rather big. And the fall in price is happening at the same time while there is also a fall in volume. The price had just lost more than 100% of its value. The volume is also losing more than 100%. All these have affected the image of Matic and there might be more falling to follow.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold backed coins are real?? on: December 15, 2019, 02:42:48 AM
as far as I know, right now is digital GOLD. some people who joined the project said that it was a project that was backed up with real gold. they can also sell their coins at their local market for 1 coin for 1 gram of gold. I think if you look for crypto in backup with gold, it's worth researching. you can check the ann thread in here

I hope this is really backed by real gold. There are so many projects claiming that their tokens are backed by real gold. At the end of the day, there was no gold that actually backs their tokens. Does the team of this project show in some way that there is really a one is to one ratio of their token and their gold? Because if all that they have are words and no actual undeniable proof that they have this much gold as their tokens, then it is just like the rest of other projects.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 15, 2019, 02:23:05 AM
That is right. But expect that other projects, so many of them, will always try to snatch the spot from Ethereum. Have you read so many promotions of other projects with the lines like "Ethereum Killer" or "next Ethereum". Well, good luck to them but that will not happen. They need to keep up with the fast and regular updates that the team behind Ethereum is doing. Other projects are obviously lagging far behind and without a very active team as Ethereum's.
Give it a time because Ethereum platform has also a downside. Polymath discussed it why most companies wont use it for their Security tokens.

The only reason at ETH is alive even in this moment is because there is no real competition to it. Waves was popular in its early days but they didnt grow with time. With POS update, we may see some movement with ETH and teams may start using ETH again.

But behind that reason is another large and more interesting story. Yes, there is no real competitor of Ethereum right now. But how about before today? How about the time when there were a lot of Ethereum competitors? Are we not going to consider the feat of Ethereum by being the lone survivor after all other projects tried to compete and replace it but failed? Waves was a strong contender before but it was not the choice of most projects. ETC became another platform, so was NEM, NEO, Stratis, Komodo, etc but all of them did not make it to the top. Only Ethereum did.
189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Sec regulation making the Bull market slower? on: December 15, 2019, 02:02:38 AM
We yet to see another Bull market after 2017. SEC is significantly regulating the Crypto but it's still yet to be processed. ICos, STOs then ETF, are we going to get any indication for those staff sooner?

It will eventually come but I don't know if it will come sooner. The way I see it the SEC is still generally unfriendly toward cryptocurrencies. They are still not that open to ICOs and STOs. The ETF is also not approved until now, after a long time of postponement and rejection. But all these may not really be the reasons why the bull run is delayed. The SEC is only acting within a single country. The demand is getting slow. This is probably the reason.
190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price- If Tether (USDT) go down, will it be good for Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2019, 03:10:59 AM
Read an article on another lawsuit on Bitfinex controlled Stable coin Tether (USDT).

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitfinex-and-tether-receive-another-class-action-lawsuit-in-us-courts/

The operators of the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex and the stablecoin Tether have notified users that they were hit with another class action lawsuit in U.S. courts over market manipulation allegations that the companies are trying to frame as mercenary and baseless.

Now the question is, if Tether ever go down Will it affect the price of Bitcoin and the whole crypto ecosystem?

It will have an effect but I think it will not really cause a massive dump in the prices of Bitcoin and altcoins. In fact I think the opposite is true. It will somehow expand the market cap of Bitcoin and altcoin. There are so many crypto traders who are choosing or trading USDT against other cryptocurrencies because it is stable. But if it will go down, these traders will be forced to take their money from USDT and transfer them into Bitcoin or altcoins. The trade will be much better this way rather than vs the USDT.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Twitter to launch a Decentralised Platform Soon on: December 14, 2019, 02:51:12 AM
It is not yet "soon." For now, Twitter is still creating a team. This will take a long time. The first year or two being intended for study and planning. Although this could be expedited in a way because the people who are very knowledgeable about the creation of decentralized platforms are rising due the popularity of this new approach. And considering also that Twitter is a rich company. It has the capacity to hire the best people in their team.

Blockchain is now the trend and it will continue to be the trend onwards, and Twitter just want to take this opportunity to join the bandwagon, I'd like to see how they are going to create the features, I don't like Twitter, that is why I never join any campaign on Twitter, it's the easiest way to lose your account.

This is probably the first step ever done by a social media giant into decentralization. This is a fantastic undertaking on the part of twitter. Jack Dorsey is really a supporter of decentralization. Facebook had its own plan to enter into it but it was not really decentralizing its own social media platform. It was more of a venture into cryptocurrency to create more money rather than to contribute to the rising adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency. It was more of a business interest rather than to disrupt the system.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks face heavy fines if they don't spend 30% of their income electronically on: December 14, 2019, 02:29:56 AM
This seems to be the trend nowadays. A few more countries are implementing this. They are limiting the spending of cash by their citizens. This is going to be pushing the use of other payment modes. Hopefully this would include the use of cryptocurrencies. If there many restaurants and other businesses in Greece that accept cryptocurrency payments, this might be one factor of its adoption.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 14, 2019, 02:08:15 AM
During this year, ethereum was mostly not promising due to the many disappointing times we went through. Sometimes it even becomes very difficult to know when to keep or sell some kind of ethereum. Especially when the team keeps secret the details of their updates. I hope that they really solve all the problems by the beginning of the new year.
What type of disappointment you are talking about? you can't put the blame of Ethereum for failing to surge in value when bitcoin dominance keeps climbing up and aiming higher, Eth is doing fine for those who knows what's in stock for Eth blockchain, altcoin season is not here yet and ETH is showing good sign already, Eth is a must buy and hold for all altcoin lovers
In my opinion, Bitcoin and Ethereum will continue to occupy the best market positions for many more years. Despite the fact that new coins begin to appear, like the libra everyone is talking about. Plus, the new generation is largely based on the Ethereum blockchain. Of the good projects, I saw taklimakan network. There, for traders, there are many free market tools and access to analytics, and for fans, training materials on cryptocurrencies are presented.

nope.  i think 2 (maybe 3) projects will surpass ETH (listed on CMC or not).

Which are these projects for about you are looking very confident even all projects are claiming this from years but this is reality ETH is still most important project after the BTC.

That is right. But expect that other projects, so many of them, will always try to snatch the spot from Ethereum. Have you read so many promotions of other projects with the lines like "Ethereum Killer" or "next Ethereum". Well, good luck to them but that will not happen. 195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN] DeepOnion ONION New Private Currency ✅ DeepSend Release Date 13 Dec 2019✅ on: December 13, 2019, 03:41:13 AM
Exchanges just come to us. Cheesy

Just the right time for the release of DeepSend. Also, I went to the SWOP.SPACE where ONION just got listed and I must say, that exchange is quite simple and does have multiple of coins/fiat to choose from (to exchange from). The rates are also quite normal, if not cheaper by other exchanges out there. Very easy to navigate.

Code: (EXCHANGE)
https://swop.space/

How about the volume of DeepOnion (ONION) there? Is it decent enough to give value to the trader's time and orders? One of the most important things to consider is not really the exchange itself but the volume where a smooth trading experience could be enjoyed by the traders. Liquidity is golden for every trader. Without liquidity of the coin, even if it is listed on the perfect exchange, it is useless to trade that coin.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins a definite solution against a bear market? on: December 13, 2019, 03:09:36 AM
Not really the solution. The solution against a bear market is a way to remove the bear altogether and let the bulls enter. But if it is enough that there is a certain coin in which we can leave our holdings safe and stable while the bear market is still very much present, then a stablecoin is enough. I have been using stablecoins to put my holdings in times when the market is not as bullish as I want. I do it especially if I already made a profit and the price looks falling. I pull my coins out and convert them into USDT.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | 10% to Orphan-Charity | POBH CPU | Sanctuaries (Masternodes) on: December 13, 2019, 02:36:13 AM
For some reasons, I have stumbled upon this ANN thread. At first I was thinking that this is a kind of another scheme by a group of people trying to make free money from the online and crypto field. But then I tried to take a look further and arrived at an information that this coin has been existing for around a couple of years. By this time, I'm sure there are already a number of charities that you have extended help to? This must be an amazing project. Could you show us a few numbers?

Exchanges just come to us. Cheesy

Wow, just wow. But is this even true? Well, if the exchanges are still unknown and do not have the volume and the coins yet, they are normally chasing after coins and tokens. They are even offering free listing to shitcoins. I don't know if DeepOnion (ONION) is one of them. What I know is that DeepOnion (ONION) do not have listing on giant exchanges such as Huobi or Binance. I don't if they can afford or they are not really pursuing it for the reason that it might not result to a good volume. Until now the volume is still a few hundreds of USD.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Decentraland? on: December 13, 2019, 01:55:11 AM
I have heard of Decentraland before but I did not have much time and interest to get to know more of it. That was the time when altcoin projects are so many and most of them are not really serious enough to pursue their project. Many of them failed. But it is apparent that Decentraland is different. It seems growing until now. It appears to be a nice coin compared to so many shitcoins nowadays. I don't understand enough of their two tokens though, MANA and LAND.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning for newbies on: December 12, 2019, 03:35:31 AM
Newbies needs to be prepared for this coming new year, scammers will try to take advantage of that year because bitcoin halving is already dropping the HYPE in crypto space  already, Learn to do research better, not all bad results in crypto are because a project failed, mostly are because of lack of research, with no good research you can easily fall for scam projects.

1) Do better research on new projects before promoting them or investing a penny on them

2) Visit scam accusation thread on the forum time to time, it will safe you a lot too

3) If you you have to invest always invest what you can afford to lose.

Newbies, if they are newbies not just in this forum but also in cryptocurrency, should not even think of investing right away. Investment is not theirs to do while they are still newbies. What newbies should do is not to invest but to learn. When they are not anymore newbies because they have already learned what needs to be learned first, they may take another step or steps further and start to learn to invest. For now, as newbies, they should know what Bitcoin, cryptocurreny, and blockchain is.
