TOA SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED ITS BLOCKCHAIN-BASED MOBILE PAYMENT SYSTEM IN THE PHILIPPINES TOA Mobile Payment had a successful launch in the Philippines during the International Franchise Expo 2018 at the SMX Convention Center on July 20 to 22, 2018. A huge number of business owners and franchisers dropped by our booth at the 2nd floor to inquire how our blockchain-based system can help them transition to digital payments. We received hundreds of interests and inquiries from businesses across different industries: hotels, restaurants, food kiosks, and apparels to name a few. We are now helping these businesses integrate to the TOA Payment Ecosystem. Our new merchant partners should be available in the TOA Mobile App in the upcoming weeks. We were also approached by financial companies for possible partnerships, particularly on making it easier for Filipinos to purchase toacoins anywhere in the Philippines. These partnerships would also allow Filipinos abroad to send their toacoins to their family in the Philippines and convert them to Philippine Pesos. We have already started initial discussions with these financial entities and we would make a formal announcement once these deals have been finalized. |

The block chain project of the travel industry has a good development space, and the TOA Coin project team should further strengthen the market propaganda so that more investors will be involved in the ecological construction.
In the hotel booking space, our competitor are the likes of cheapoair as they accept cryptocurrency. We checked the prices of the hotel rooms in our list and it seems to be at par with cheapoair's offerings and sometimes it is even cheaper. There are only a few hotel booking sites that accept cryptocurrency and if our price will be the lowest then I suppose there will be more users of TOA. |

I have been reading about the project but I don't quite seem to understand what sets Toa coins apart from other travel coin projects out there. I see there are serious challenge from other competitors in this sector and a lot of them are doing pretty well. Was there really an ICO done for Toa coins before it got listed on exchanges or the tokensale is still in progress because I can see there is a message in the front page taking about getting the Toa coins at 10% less than the prize at exchanges
Thanks for noticing, I already removed it from the front page. We're not trying to compete by tech actually, we're more of creating business solutions where TOA is simply being used as a mode of payment. We're not trying to completely revolutionize the travel industry by putting everything in the blockchain (at least for now). We're more of simply creating/connecting businesses to the blockchain by using the basic approach first which is the payment method. Until now, we've yet to really tap into the payment system which can really benefit users regardless if they're seasoned traders or not. With TOA, we're basically just scratching the surface by connecting traditional businesses and connecting it to blockchain by using it as mode of payment. Even this, its hard to convince non-crypto businesses but it is something that they can adapt to and understand easily. Then in the future, let's dig deeper and involve their businesses further by incorporating some business processes into the blockchain itself. To those who are wondering what's with the current price movement. We were not informed of any group who invested in TOA or bought TOA earlier today because we're dealing with all kinds of investors almost everyday asking about what to expect within the next few weeks and this is what we always tell them.
The Farron partnership is only a start to showcase the TOA mobile payment and the upcoming Franchise Expo will be the platform to show other businesses that crypto payment using mobile via TOA is very much possible. We will discuss there the benefits of using TOA over the traditional cash or credit card system.
We're also running testing of Windows and MAC Electrum wallet with a bunch of guys from the community who volunteered and they have 1 week to test it out but so far, no bug is being reported yet.
The hotel booking site of TOA is almost complete and slated to be released this August.
There are prospective merchants coming in as well from other countries.
So to those who bought TOA pushing the price up, they probably are thinking long term or else they wouldn't buy at a very high price.

If everything is so good, why does TOA fall in price?
That's my question as well. Are there any hacking/stolen coins these past few months? Lately there are articles about increased hacking activities called cryptojacking this year. Yes there are increased crypto hacking as reported on several websites. There are no stolen TOA coins but there are hacking attempts as you can see there's now a captcha sliding upon login. But the hacker were merely trying a DDOS attack but no harm done except for a time when the website went down. We have security features being placed in our database to secure all important info. |
