181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Lan cable? on: September 19, 2017, 05:14:55 AM
Mining does not require very fast internet bandwidth, so CAT5 is more than enough.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: P106-100 Graphics Card on: September 19, 2017, 05:13:28 AM
What about P104-100? Is it released?
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coins with MasterNodes on: September 19, 2017, 05:11:43 AM
I stake with Crave which is a Masternode coin

Staking reward is 0.33333 depending on your weight
Masternode reward is 0.6666 between 1 to 4 times per day

Investing in 1 Crave masternode is at least as profitable as a gtx 1080TI card Wink

DON 'T buy on yobit, their crave blockchain is forked, and they dont are about their costumers.

But how much should be the investment to get crave enough to setup masternode?

I have joined and received the 1 MBC airdrop, but how am I suppose to join the special airdrop with 3 MBC?
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: September 19, 2017, 05:07:41 AM
As of todays, I still see a lot of people with 1060, but not with P106-100, seems like the price of P106 is not attractive.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mine new coin: VoteCoin - equihash, very low difficulty now on: September 19, 2017, 05:06:20 AM
Best reason for mining this is because it's low difficulty?
I don't see a lot of features.

I think the difficulty is not really low now...
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coins with MasterNodes on: September 17, 2017, 02:23:48 PM
Statement on signatum.io:

Question: Will there be Masternodes?
A: Masternodes are not foreseen yet.

Yupe, I also never heard that signatum will have masternodes. And yet the POW will be ended soon, so no masternode is possible (there is not possible to have masternode with POS, correct me if I'm wrong)
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $11 open air stand for mining rig on: September 17, 2017, 02:18:30 PM
They work extremely well and offer room for over 8 GPU I'm using them already, plus non-conductive surface with the wood. Just grab some zip ties and enjoy the shoe rack rigs.

Here's a couple I assembled using the ol shoe racks

Pretty good idea with shoe rack  Cheesy
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: September 17, 2017, 02:14:45 PM
Hello.
I have 7 MSI GTX 1060 3G on Biostar TB250 and all 7 cards works fine (+800 MHZ SAMSUNG memory overclock) 170 MH/S (>24.2MH/S) at 620W power using Claymore 10 on Win 10 PRO/1703.

Have you ever try dual mining with ETH, maybe you can get more profit.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: i7 mining? on: September 17, 2017, 02:13:21 PM
Personally from me, the mining on processors has long gone obsolete. If they come up with a new algorithm  you can have a couple of weeks of mining

You are right, only new algorithm should worth.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coin Wallets with mining function? on: September 17, 2017, 02:12:14 PM
ArtByte ABY Windows wallet software has mining capability. It basically includes pooler's cpuminer (minerd.exe) with the ArtByte wallet.

macOS wallet can also mine, but you need to put minerd in the same directory yourself. my MacBook Pro gets hot using CPU mining and GPU mining, so I have to blow a fan across the keyboard area. Make sure you are not covering the laptop so it can breathe (no keyboard covers, laptop shells, etc).

https://www.artbyte.me/mining-artbytes/

Interesting, I will look into this coin later...

BTW, I forgot to mention that biblepay has pool miner built in to the wallet too.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 17, 2017, 02:10:05 PM
to mine Verge(XVG), which of these algorithms is best for 1080ti?

scrypt
myr-groestl
Lyra2Rev2
Blake2s
X17

Lyra2REv2 and you dont get to choose btw Edit: you do get to choose apparently

why Lyra2REv2 ?

why not ?

lol, actually Lyra2Rev2 is quite friendly to 1080ti.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DDOS & SWAP - Increase ETH network congestions! on: September 17, 2017, 02:08:06 PM
So, from the token explorer, token has not been distributed, right?

Am excited to get the airdrop  Grin
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining cables, router suggestions? on: September 13, 2017, 03:26:26 PM
I'm setting up a small farm with L3+ and D3 machines(I have ordered 7 now and I'm going to order 12-13 more machines soon), and I can't find the answers to these questions:

1, Which cat6 cables are people using to avoid interference and crosstalk between devices? So many different cables: stp, utp, ftp.. It is driving me nuts Smiley

2. Which router is good enough?  Ubiquiti Networks EdgeRouter X SFP or TP-Link TL-ER604W, the tp-link does have WiFi which I will turn of if possible.

3. Are longer power cables (c13) a bad thing, increased heat/fire possibility?  (3 meters vs 5 meters)

4. As switches I am going to order two 24 ports switches:  Tp-link tl-sf1024 or tl-sf1024d. Any problems with these?

1. In my opinion, CAT 5 cables are good enough. I honestly don't understand much about the technical details behind CAT 5 vs 6 but the 5 works just fine for my rigs.

3. They say that the longer the cables the slower it is, etc etc. But honestly speaking from experience (i have a 30 METER cat 5 cable for two (2) of my rigs), they work just fine. I just touched the cable and they are not hot at all. Been running stable and problem free for a few months now.

I also think that cat 5 is more than enough, anyway mining does not require large bandwidth.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coin Wallets with mining function? on: September 13, 2017, 03:22:51 PM
Just came across a coin called biblepay, built-in comprehensive mining function in it's wallet.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: i7 mining? on: September 13, 2017, 03:19:56 PM
Thats why I based all my recent rigs on AMD Ryzen processors - unbeatable in price / performance ratio compared to Intel.

If I had to build new rigs with the latest tech I would go ryzen, no question about that.

Opterons are doing pretty well too.

edit: sorry for the OT, i7 thread...

But too bad that no ryzen mobo supports more pci-e slots yet... Or maybe there is but I don't know?
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 13, 2017, 03:18:06 PM
Seeing as SIGT is on top of whattomine.. what is more profitable?

Only 22k blocks left to ever be mined on SIGT. Probably 2-3 weeks to mine it.

I have mined and kept some signatum, looking forward for the POS  Grin
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mine new coin: VoteCoin - equihash, very low difficulty now on: September 13, 2017, 03:16:17 PM
Somebody has set up a pool with 2.5% fee.
It is not our official VoteCoin pool, but since we don't have own pool yet, you may try it.
http://votecoinmine.site

For example, if you have Nvidia GPU cards, you may use EWBF's miner like this:

miner.exe --pec --server votecoinmine.site --port 3032 --user YourVoteCoinTaddress --pass x

Warning! use at your own risk, may not function properly or may not pay you your reward.

I've noticed there is a disclaimer on your message indicating there is a mining pool available.

I've started mining there but noticed that all my tokens are kept as "immature". Do you have any more info regarding this one? do you think I should trust this pool?

If not, is there a way of solo mining with GPU right now?

Thanks!

Me too, facing problem with pool. I will try solo mining later. Actually just setup rpc details in conf file will do.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1060, what is your hashrate? on: September 13, 2017, 03:14:44 PM
On my rigs there are 8 1060 cards installed. getting Total of 185 MH ETH mining.
For monero i get around 4300k thats all i get from trying different settings.

8x 1060 and you get 4300k in cryptonight algorithm is pretty awesome. What is your OC settings?

I see the price in exchanger rise abit. Waiting for yobit and price could rise more. Any clue when will it be listed?
