185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Club on: May 14, 2013, 02:42:12 PM
If this is serious, this is pretty disgusting.

An organised pump and dump gang will really harm the image of alt coins. It's taking advantage of people who think that a coin is really increasing in value. The money the gang makes when they sell all their coin at the peak of the spike in value comes from the people who are to late in the selling.

It's a scam. People who do this, in my book, are on the same level as people who pretend to send coins in a transaction and don't.

This thread should be locked and the OP labled a scammer.

Couldn't agree more.

I've known Realsolid for a while now and have to say he is a very ambitious person, and once you get to know him he is a reasonable and trustworthy guy. Anyone who says MNC or Realsolid is a scam is ignorant and arrogant IMHO.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tenebrix, a CPU-friendly, GPU-hostile cryptocurrency on: May 12, 2013, 10:22:32 PM
Tenebrix was a very good concept and I only wish it had succeeded better. RIP Tenebrix.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Realsolid and MNC a scam? Serious? on: May 12, 2013, 01:32:43 AM
If you honestly and truly in your hearts believe that Mincoin and Realsolid are a scam"club". You are severely delusional. People that believe this are either jealous or mad because they never got in on the bonus at the beginning. I have been part of MNC after the bonuses. And i am now 4x my profit. And I suppose becuase I say that i'm a "conspirator" aswell?

Almost all of the alt-coins are there are going to be a waste of time.  They're being created to take advantage of people who get super excited about different things and then get pumped and dumped.

Be careful about wasting time with too many alt coins.

I bet thats the kind of thinking many had about Bitcoins in the beginning but look where it is now. I am not bashing you in anyway, I just feel like qualifying your statement. People should really research what their going into because maybe one of the Alt-coins will have a boom like BTC.

Agreed. Many alt-coins out there have great potential and some-not all will hit it off big.
190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mincoin - The Future of Alt Currencies? on: May 07, 2013, 10:49:12 PM
Welcome to BTC talk.  Yeah, I will admit that I was one of the lucky few who was able to mine MNC early.  At first I thought it was nice to be able to mine a fair amount of a new currency from the beginning but after following this coin for the past couple of weeks, I must admit that it looks like it has a lot of potential.

People really like the 1 minute blocks and even though it only produces 2 coins per block, it's still producing at a rate close to bitcoin.

There is also (a very high quality) exhange for this coin at MCXNow.com.

Another altcurrency to watch out for is Microcash.  Microcash doesn't exist yet, but it will convert existing Solidcoins to Microcash dollars once it's released.  Microcash is a new project, from the ground up and should be an insane improvement to cryptocurrencies, in general.

Yeah the 1 minute blocks are really an eye grabber. I see potential in this coin and enjoy being a part of its community. Thanks for the reply Smiley
191  Other / Beginners & Help / Mincoin - The Future of Alt Currencies? on: May 07, 2013, 01:47:43 AM
Recently I have been exploring my options in terms of other coins besides BTC and have stumbled across Mincoin (MNC). It is bronze to bitcoins gold and seems to be growing in popularity. I for one have thrown all my cpu resources into it and enjoy being a part of a new coin that will most definatly grow exponentially over the course of a few months. I look forward to this coins future Smiley What about you?

Hey guys I was reading this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50464.40 post originally written by the user "GenTarkin" and on the last page he had requested that his files be uploaded to other places for him as Dropbox kept deleting his and the ones he has got up now expire in about 45 days - So I took the liberty of uploading them for him on 2 different hosts. As I am not able to post in his forum at the moment I figured I would post it here and hopefully it will get moved or relayed to him as I cannot PM him either.

Here's the links (The second set is from my own personal File sharing service, feel free to use it as much as you would like  Grin )

Thanks for the heads up.. Its because of people like you, the world is a better place  Grin

You're welcome.

I thought about it more:

Do you know why they encourage paying with bitcoins?

Quote
Please be aware that your order date is set at the time payment is received, so we recommend Bit-Pay due to it's faster processing time as compared to bank wire transfer. When ordering via Bankwire Transfer, our sales agent will respond with the appropriate payment instructions so that you may make payment and complete your order.

Because BTC is much more easier to run away with than with cash. I wonder how many people actually paid by wire. Zero?

Do you know how many serious companies accept BTC?

Even if the CEO had legit intentions...
... he is doing illegal business! Remember he is under supervised release and even if HE won't run with your money, he could be arrested and sentenced. Do you know what will happen with your BTC then? Do you know that governments usually give a fuck about BTC because it is NOT A CURRENCY?

Totally agree. These guys sound a bit fishy to me
