Wtf is happening? You ALWAYS said that features are worthless for a coin to succeed The true feature is the name. In this case, people like chicken nuggets, right? So people will have a hankering for these coins, because they are called nuggets! Seems legit enough to me Enough to build a global economy on it. Plus the developer doesn't need a pre-mine he can just take out a mortgage on his house, put all the money into stock options on McDonalds and profit from NUGGETS. When everyone is using NUGGETS and saying NUGGETS all day long can you imagine how many people will have a subconcious instinct to eat some delicious McDonalds chicken nuggets? I mean McDonalds will probably become the exxon in the global NUGGET god number economy. This is exactly what he's been talking about! See?? All of the major companies will jump into the altcoin market! McDonalds will want to get on the Nuggets bandwagon. Burger King will buy out BBQCoin (don't ask me how!). Then GM will come out with GeneralMotorsCoin, or maybe coins for each of their divisions! Like ChevroletCoin and CadillacCoin!!! It'll exploooode! McDonalds will create their own copy clone coin and will premine it all by themselves. What good it will do for other altcoins or people who mine those altcoins? It will do nothing, we are doing free technology testing for bigger corporations who will then take it and use it and we will get nothing  |

Personally I think PXC was better without UNOCS now every thing has gone behind the scenes and we don't know whats going on in the backgrounds. Believe me PXC developers are honest they have done lots of work before and will do in the future aswell. After all it was there own project we are just the share holders. We are talking about UNOCS developers ... PXC is 1 of 3 coins, so they have 33% vote, so they can't really control what happens if other 2 coins vote differently ... for example to rise prices by making announcement sooner and then to change it to real deadline - 30 days later. ok. I have what may very well be a bonehead question. I dropped the conf file in my /diamond folder. for grins, I setgenerate true -1 in the client and started mining some other things using cgminer. I come back 12hrs later and have 9 diamonds in my wallet. Was I unknowingly mining solo?
Yes you did setgenerate true -1 = please mine coins and use any available processor cores and 9 diamonds in 12 hours on processor seem almost unrealistic, either you are super lucky guy, or you have 5+ processors Intel Core i7 3960X running My calculations: 1 DMD in 12 hours requires 60 kh/s so 9x60 - 540 kh/s Intel Core i7 3960X generates 101 kh/s with best settings so you would need 5+ of those processors running at same time. Are you sure you didn't run GPU mining at same time on DMD ? or maybe some delayed payment from pool came in? |

That price is comparative to what it would take to mine something like LTC vs DMD.
Good luck to find seller at that price Just saying your .1 BTC is completely unrealistic for current development status. This is rare type coin, it is for investment, like gold, silver, diamonds. Therefore it's price is not determined based on usual stuff like how many gambling sites accept it or if it will be possible to make small cheap transactions. It's value is determined on how hard it will be to mine and how small amount of total coins there is, just like gold, silver and diamonds. Currently you have offer for 0.1 BTC, after year you will pay 5 BTC because then value will be determined by those aspects. And those say - there will be 5x less DMD coins that there will ever be BTC coins, and mining DMD is and will be much harder than BTC. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to scam you. If you don't want to play on long term (1+ year) investment then you shouldn't buy DMD for this price or for any price as in short term you will not see much gain from it. same as you shouldn't buy gold if you don't want to invest for 10+ years, because in shorter term bank account for gold storage costs more than profit you make from gold. Be aware, as any investment, long term investments also are risky, you go all or nothing. As you maybe have heard, current gold prices in real world are crashing like never before ... and noone can predict if they will ever go up again. EDIT: And yes you shouldn't agree on mine or any other persons opinion, but think for yourself. ALWAYS, not only with DMD but with any coin. |

No chance... note that 200 DMD per day requires about 8000 kh/s - with that rate you need 5 days to mine 1000 DMD... a simple calculation: - 8000 kh/s means 10 x 7970 with 250W each - 250W * 10 = 2500 = $12.60 per day (0.21 $/kWh) - DMDs Value: 5*12.60 = $63 - BTCs Value: 0.23 * $85 = $19.55 - Conclusion DMDs Value > BTCs Value ==> no one sells his DMDs for this price  $.21/kwh? There are only 12,348 DMD in existence. It might be hard, if possible at all, to find someone with 2000 of them...
I want to buy some too, looks like this is a rare one They are very rare. There of course are people who will want to sell it, small amounts, I don't think there is any who have managed to get more than few hundreds. But these coins are not cheap. We were talking about 1 DMD / 5 BTC price when we push it to public exchanges. Because total amount of coins possible is 5 times smaller than amount of bitcoins possible If you are willing I can sell up to 5 DMD to you. At this moment, on closed exchange we go for 1 DMD / 1 BTC, before it goes public and difficulty skyrockets. |

It seems everyone is solo mining. Network hashrate is 700 megahash now, all the pools are below 30 megahash. I think people just realized the worth of this coin.  It's just the diff retarget ^^ The majority of miners left the pools because of low profitability with current diff. And the global hashrate is not up to date (it will take some blocks to match the real hashrate). Did you do something wrong? Diff went higher than it was before 15 already |
