1801  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 18, 2020, 04:52:57 PM
for small bills such as electricity, water, and credit Bitcoin can cover it...
nah bitcoin is not a passive income, I guess you are a trader but bitcoin won't pay your bills. It is very uncertain and risky in the most part, coz if it will do the job of paying then we all should be jumping into bitcoin.

but for my house rent, kitchen needs, and school fees for me Bitcoin can't cover it, This is why income outside of Bitcoin is important, and currently, I help my husband to meet our daily needs by selling masks online, the profit we get is enough to cover the heavy costs we incur every month, I am grateful for that.
There's no way you could make a lot with bitcoin, good for you coz you don't rely in bitcoin for paying your bills at home. It would be better if you got a job, a decent job where you can cover all your living expenses. Trading bitcoin, even with leverage does not secure anything from your bill responsiblity.
1802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kiss' Gene Simmons chimes in on bitcoin? on: September 18, 2020, 04:21:43 PM
LOL it is really hard directing your bank from acquiring any crypto especially if your bank is strict. I really doubt these people tweeting like this, I think they are just trying to manipulate their followers like they are already into bitcoin. Besides, if you really want a bitcoin or any crypto you will not request to your bank itself, you'll do it all by yourself. How easy it is to set up a local wallet and buy bitcoin in there?
1803  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: DITO stocks - dapat ba mag invest na DITO? on: September 17, 2020, 08:03:59 PM
Patok na patok sa masa ngayon yung pag-iinvest dito, even me and my friends are thinking of investing sa DITO stocks.

1804  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken is launching a crypto bank! on: September 17, 2020, 07:30:04 PM

Banks still find their relevance through exchanges like Kraken and Gemini. It only looks like these exchanges are giving chances to banks to still have a grip of power in the decentralized currencies.
Or the opposite? I guess it is the banks that gives chances to exchanges since for them it is a new regime of assets fully capable of being sent and received online. If it is the exchanges that gives their relevance to a bank, they could have been done it in Europe or somewhere state laws isn't that too complicated, maybe even possible in Asia.

It should have been planted in the brains of crypto users that the wallets we are using already serves as a bank.
Nope, this huge step of Kraken is stepping outside of what they really are, the wallet you are talking from is a personal bank which is far from this third party banking provided by Kraken.

I have tried not to use Kraken since the time they delisted the tokens I have been trading like the ICN back when they were the only who listed it.
Why? it is not the Kraken's fault when they delist a coin, that just means that you coin is shit.

Anyways congrats Kraken  Grin
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 17, 2020, 07:02:44 PM
Everything is addictive when you keep drowning every day in doing it, but for some they don't notice it as it will become part of their routine however it is noticeable in such stuff like gambling. Losing is part of the game, but losing every single day is part of decisions made and trust me it gets addictive when you can't accept the fact that you lost. On the other hand, people gets addicted to gambling because they keep on winning, that's another story.
1806  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to expect in soccer this season on: September 17, 2020, 06:06:02 PM
Expect things to be quite normal in socccer, NBA already resumed their season amidst the pandemic by following all the protocols from players to staff. In fact NBA is on conference finals which we can clearly conclude that it might just happen to any sports even soccer. The only thing they will weigh is the person involve in the sports,, as we know players on field in soccer is more than in basketball so that might be a factor also.
1807  Other / Meta / Re: Đây có phải là một bug? on: September 16, 2020, 10:09:11 PM
Reply title is in Vietnamese. I guess that user wanted to use his reply titles as signals that he is Vietnamese.
Why would he do an extra effort if he is not into something in exchange? I don't think that's for us to know that he is a Vietnamese.

I can't say the motive behind this style, try (and hope) to exchange merit with locals. (?)
Can't say it too, but the least that I can think is that he wanted some local Vietnamese to merit his post for changing the topic subject.  Huh

I guess the OP is right, it is unnecessary to do that on English threads.
1808  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 16, 2020, 09:00:24 PM
From the threads that you are started, I can conclude that you are pro-poor, I'm not saying that it is bad to support the poor/ lower middle class but the world works critically for them. What you are saying from this thread is the government should give free money, in which planet does the government gives free money? The government was designed to govern people, regulate and watch us. What you are basically thinking is a tooth fairy.
1809  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 16, 2020, 08:21:28 PM
Good for us there is no price hike since the government has frozen all the prices to avoid opportunist business owners take advantage of the situation. Glad that DTI monitors and broadcast all the suggested retail prices to let the people if they are buying just as good as if there is no pandemic. Once a business found that they are increasing prices, people can always report them and make them closed as soon as possible. I remember the first week of pandemic, people are selling face mask double/triple its actual price. tsk.
1810  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What programming Langauages is used by different gambling websites. on: September 16, 2020, 05:03:08 PM
I believe most of new online casino uses a Java Script due to HTML5 that has a faster internet speed which loads the games pretty fast. Old casino is more likely written in C or C++ with built in flash applications. I wonder why OP asked for this, kinda shady for me given that it does not matter at all unless you are going to break their code? The only thing that I can see why you're asking for this is that some languages aren't built for browsers.
1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India looking to Re-ban Bitcoin on: September 16, 2020, 03:54:24 PM

ccto

 LOL

Why is this thing a non-ending for India? Honestly this has been talked for a couple of times. I guess their government should settle for a final decision coz it ruins people who's into bitcoin in India. Imagine they banned it, they give people time to get rid of their bitcoin selling in even low prices then they will allow it again. It's bothering how India's government is indecisive, can't fully commit to something.
1812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do You think about YFI ? on: September 15, 2020, 07:56:34 PM
If we would talked about the price of YFI, this price is created by the hype of the defi thingy, it's quite amazing that this coin could surpasses the Bitcoin price.
It is kinda funny how people be investing on something they don't really know, they just ride the hype coz the time is very unusual for the bitcoin to be stagnant on its price right now. YFI has a huge price value, valuable than YFI but the question is why? why would people buy YFI whereas they can't use it anywhere. There you'll see how people are deceive, the crypto market is being slowly build by ignorance.

If you asked if it's worth to invest into it right now, i would say it is not a good decision, it's better to invest into other token/coin because of the price are already way too high at this current time.
Anyways, though YFI cannot give you any goods but short term investment, jump on it  Grin
1813  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bitcoin Revolution Scam on: September 15, 2020, 07:18:29 PM
About naman sa mga artista na nagaadvertise ng peke, I'm pretty sure that some of them is aware na hindi legit yon or alam na nila beforehand na scam yon pero tinatake pa ren nila dahil nga sa perang binabayad sa kanila, minsan nga they are forced to do something they don't want because the management say so.

Hays naku.
The best promotion that every product can do is through celebs, can't blame them at all.
1814  Other / Archival / Re: What will happen to bitcoin on a world war? on: September 15, 2020, 06:42:13 PM
Although, think about it for a while. In a world war, the last thing someone has is access to the internet. Would bitcoins lose their value?
War if it occurs in all sectors is bad including Bitcoin / crypto etc.
But the opposite may also happen, if there is a war obviously people will be looking for a thing that can retain the value of their money it's either gold or silver, I'm sure real estate assets will just be a dust after a world war so that would be a not so good idea. And here is the bitcoin, I'm not saying that people are going to demand for it but who knows, bitcoin is already recognized as a new asset class.

War is the worst thing experienced by all humans, both civilians and opponents of war, the most severe effect is that destruction occurs everywhere, starting from the internet, electricity, and also food.
I don't think that the world is ready for war, if it happens in like 3 to 5 years, we are all fucked.

So, if the internet is down and the electricity is also down, automatically it cannot be used because the effects of war are certain Bitcoin / crypto cannot be accessed by people and cannot be traded, means: all will be destroyed.
That could be, but the thing is people won't be using bitcoin when they buy something, let's assume there is a war if you are going to store your money elsewhere, where are you going to place it, Banks? Gold? Silver? hmmm bitcoin?
1815  Economy / Economics / Re: money is root of evil on: September 15, 2020, 06:01:33 PM
Greed, Not money is the root of evil.
Definitely. It's not the money who is evil, it is the person who has it if it is done with something bad or illegal. Rather than saying money is the root of evil, it is more fit to say that money is the best instrument of an evil.

Money is one of the greatest inventions of mankind and Satoshi removed all its limitations by making it decentralized when he announced bitcoin. It is upto people now to choose and do the right thing
Hmmm I know satoshi has his intention good for bitcoin, but then people are getting over it and uses bitcoin for bad things lately. We don't know how much bitcoin was used to buy illegal stuffs, we don't know how much bitcoin was stolen, and we don't know the people behind bitcoin. Satoshi didn't removed all the limitations of the money, he added a new feature of it and it seems like partially working in the real world.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: fortunejack withdarwal delay on: September 15, 2020, 05:03:53 PM
I am confident in Fortunejack's reputation, so there is no need to worry about withdrawing your pending 1,4BTC,
I am sure it will be successful in the process. Fortunejack won't sacrifice its reputation just because it wants to
commit a scam of 1.4 BTC. While for us the amount of $ 1.4 BTC is a very large amount, but for Fortunejack
it is not that big. So there's no need to worry that Fortunejack will scams.

Obviously, Risking their reputation for just 1.4 seems weird when they've their campaign running on the forum that pays a good amount.
I think OP should stay calm and let FJ do their job and creating 2 Threads will not do any good.

Even any casino will not risk their reputation with any amount if they are legit lol even a single dollar. Besides, fortunejack has been operating for so long that if they are a fraud they should have ran long time ago. And yes they have a campaign here in forum which only accepts Hero/legendary member which I can conclude that they really want to protect their image in this forum and publicly.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 15, 2020, 04:24:14 PM
For someone who was born and raised in the Philippines, I am very much familiar with this game featuring these small creatures, spiders. This was merely a game, children would first catch their spiders and would then bring them into a fight with the others.
But for others like me who was not raised in rural areas, spiders are being sold in cities on which most of people gets into the gambling. Yet we cannot make it as an excuse, just because we get used to it. I remember not only spiders but also beetles, people are making fights using insects and they are betting on it.

Somehow this is funny to think that what was once a street game for the children is now being integrated with gambling. But nevertheless, these adults shown in the pictures should’ve known better that protocols must be abide strictly due to this pandemic.
Adult already knows that it is illegal, maybe they are just too bored of living and made this as a form of their entertainment.
1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEFI question? on: September 14, 2020, 10:31:31 PM
May I know what DeFi project you do want to invest in? coz the market is literally f8ked right now with shitcoins and surprisingly they are pumping for weeks Huh DeFi isn't a staking one if that's your only question, you can just buy their coins as many as you want and cry later calling for the project CEO lol kidding aside, decide to yourself which project is best for your money 80% are just shit and will your pocket loose  Wink
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 14, 2020, 09:26:39 PM
What is all story about? Not wearing a mask? Illegal gambling or kids playing with probably dangerous insects?
Come on, they are just kids, dont spoil their childhood. Kids are having fun because they dont have much toys.
LoL it could be fun at all if there was no money involve, but the thing is kids in the story already knows what they are into. You're right they are just kids, the excuse is very old, you're like saying don't punish them coz they are just kids.

Parents should be lucky they did not spend all day playing console games.
But these days? during the pandemic, playing console gives entertainment that does not require anything from the outside.

When I was a kid, I used to hit trees, flowers and grass with a stick. What now? Greenpeace will sue me for nature harm ?
Depends on the place lol, if you do that somewhere in a private area and someone sees you goodluck!
1820  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Security] Be Careful About Downloading Fake Wallet Apps on: September 14, 2020, 08:27:04 PM
I don't know if google do not want it or they just can't, I don't know much about their policy, but the thing is may mga application sa play store na suspicious and malicious. First things first, bakit nakakalampas ito sa google? I really don't know.

From time to time ako nag checheck ng application permission especially pag may bagong download ako na app, I always make sure na above the surface lang sila through my phone or pc. Even the shopee app, kamakailan lang may lumabas na article about shopee na nagcocollect din ng customer data.
