Husna QA, you posted the link at the beginning of the line and without any space before that. The link would still work after the edit, even if you didn't use URL tags.
Exactly. A good example is found in the thread I mentioned at the beginning of this discussion where I noticed this problem for the first time. Have a look at this post. It's been edited many times. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the post, you will notice the Other sources section. The last link in that section has two empty spaces and is clickable. You might think everything is ok until you see the code. OP used a hyperlink to make the link clickable. Here is how it looks:

Code:
Licences by Mahdirakib  [url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5381143.0]https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5381143.0[/url]

<Snip>
Did you also edit the previously created post as hosseinimr93 explained? The issue only becomes apparent after an edit of a post that contains links where there are empty spaces before the link which are dividable by 2.

It's no secret that theymos has heavily modified the current forum software to make it safer and more usable for what he wanted to achieve. One of those custom changes might have led to this "bug" or it's a known issue that got fixed in later SMF versions like the one you are using on your forum.
1803  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $150/w on: September 01, 2023, 03:55:54 PM
I am currently not in Sinbad campaign but I really want to see more campaigns introducing different payrate that is not based on number of written posts.
My best experience was with signature campaigns that allow me to write in my usual style and they don't force me to write 50+ posts, or minimum amount of posts.
I understand what you are saying, but Sinbad already fulfills both those requirements to some degree. It fulfills the first degree completely. There is no minimum amount of posts you have to write weekly, and the upper limit is 25. And "forcing" is too heavy of a term. I don't remember any campaign where you were forced to write 50+ posts. But there were campaigns where you had to write a minimum of 25,30, and maybe even 35 posts to get the weekly pay.

Regarding the other thing you mentioned about style of writing, I am not exactly sure what you mean with that. You either write above a certain minimum quality threshold that the manager will accept or you don't. At least you don't have to worry about that. One part where Sinbad might hold you back is the number of posts that count in local boards for the weekly payout. It's 5 for smaller boards but the number is higher for bigger locals. I am sure these numbers will go up if the campaign starts counting 40 or 50 posts weekly.
1804  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What Wallet Do You Store Your Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2023, 03:34:12 PM
For example here its like a bad word having a hot web wallet like Blockchain, but for me if you use that wallet like a bridge or for spend its a very easy way to use and start for people.
Just because something is easy, it doesn't mean that it's good or better than the more challenging alternatives. In fact, it's often the other way around. It's easier to register on a CEX, login in with your username and password, and store your coins with them. That's easier than having to set up your own wallet, generate the seed securely, and making multiple physical backups on paper or metal that you will keep in different geographical locations. But the quicker option here isn't safer and thus not better.

Blockchain is a buggy wallet that works today and doesn't work tomorrow. People have reported all kinds of weird problems with it that have created difficulties for them to work with their coins. Because of that, I see no reason to use something that may or may not work. Better software wallets are available both for desktop and mobile devices than Blockchain.
1805  Other / Meta / Re: Non clickable link in original post but clickable when quoted on: September 01, 2023, 03:23:12 PM
It's not the added text that makes the link unclickable. It's the edit that makes the link unclickable.

Make a post containing a link with two spaces before that. After that, click on "edit" button and save the post without making any edit. You will see that the link becomes unclickable.
The same thing happens when the number of spaces before a link is a multiple of 2.
That's interesting. Btw, is this public knowledge and did you already know about this before you saw my thread or did you figure it out by doing your own tests? Any idea why it only affects empty spaces before links dividable by two and not all links for example?
1806  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS since 2014 : KYC Rankings, Bonuses, Support on: August 31, 2023, 06:36:20 PM
Normally when I type in a URL here it's an automatic hyperlink. On page 1 and in the last post of Mahdiralkib's post I used BCT hyperlink up top and then typed in the URL in the middle. Only on Mahdiralkib's link do I have to use the hyperlink up top.
I created a discussion about it in Meta, here > Non clickable link in original post but clickable when quoted.
Faisal2202 rightly noticed that you placed two empty spaces between the text, Licences by Mahdirakib and the link. If you go back and edit the post and remove one empty space, the link should turn into a hyperlink without the need to add the hyperlink code like you did in post #1. If you are interested, you can follow the rest of the discussions in Meta because it's off-topic here.
1807  Other / Meta / Re: Non clickable link in original post but clickable when quoted on: August 31, 2023, 06:27:24 PM
Let me try this quickly by posting links to the Meta board with different spaces. I am not going to try without any spaces because that would obviously not work as a hyperlink.

Meta board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0
Meta board:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0
Meta board:   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

Edit 1: It has nothing to do with empty spaces before the link. The hyperlink is clickable with 1, 2, and 3 empty spaces.
Edit 2: After writing edit 1, the second link (with two empty spaces) turned into non-clickable. So, the text that follows affects the links somehow, but not all of them.
1808  Other / Meta / Non clickable link in original post but clickable when quoted on: August 31, 2023, 04:24:21 PM
I have come across an unusual glitch. I don't think we can call it a bug, but it's definitely weird to me.
If you take a look at this post, you will notice several internal links written under the Other sources section. They are all clickable in the post, except the last one.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks now just in case OP changes and fixes it.

However, quoting the post or previewing it before a quote turns the last link into a clickable one as well.
Screenshot below:

My question is, why is that? Why is the link in the original post not a hyperlink but if you quote the post it turns into one? @theymos what's an easy way around it without manually adding the hyperlink code?
1809  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS since 2014 : KYC Rankings, Bonuses, Support on: August 31, 2023, 04:08:54 PM
I fixed the link problem on page 1.
What did you do to fix it? The link in your post on page 204 for Mahdirakib's thread is still not clickable. It's a weird issue and I can't remember having come across it earlier; maybe I have but didn't pay attention to it.
I will write about it in Meta. Maybe someone knows what's the reason for it.
1810  Other / Archival / Re: WasabiWallet.io | Open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin Wallet for desktop on: August 31, 2023, 03:59:35 PM

You are missing the point. More precisely, you aren't missing the point, but you are deliberately pulling attention away from your coordinator's cooperation with chain analysis by throwing dirt on other services and implementations. The issue here is that zkSNACKs and Wasabi wallet don't offer a privacy service at all times. They offer a selective privacy service based on rules no one knows and you and your team don't know the rules either. It's a secret that a centralized and malicious organization keeps for itself and maybe changes it according to someone's wishes.
1811  Economy / Services / Re: [DISCUSSION] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $150/w on: August 31, 2023, 03:49:40 PM
To prevent the possibility of spamming, having a maximum count of 40 would be better than having 50. However, just because someone writes 50 or even more posts, that doesn't mean they are spamming and lack quality in their writing. I am pretty sure we have top posters who manage 70 or 80+ each week. Regarding the payrate, I leave that to you Royse777. Obviously, everyone would like to earn more rather than less.
1812  Other / Archival / Re: WasabiWallet.io | Open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin Wallet for desktop on: August 30, 2023, 06:37:06 PM
You can use the software with any coordinator, including your own.
Creating your own coordinator that no one else uses or using one with a small userbase makes very little sense. You want the group to be as big as possible to improve the privacy aspect of things. One tree in the clearing isn't a forest. That's why most people will go with zkSNACKs, the same zkSNACKs that pays blockchain analysis firms to investigate your bitcoin, and therefore the coordinator shares their ideals that not all bitcoins are equal.
1813  Other / Archival / Re: WasabiWallet.io | Open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin Wallet for desktop on: August 30, 2023, 04:09:53 PM
Again, I would like to warn everyone viewing this thread...
Anyone viewing this thread should know that by using Wasabi Wallet and their malicious zkSNACKs coordinator, you are actively participating in the funding of blockchain analysis companies who will decide if you deserve privacy or not. You can only use the software with the default coordinator if those who don't want you to be private decide that your coins are good enough. Don't do that and don't help the enemy to profit. Use JoinMarket or other solutions.
1814  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS since 2014 : KYC Rankings, Bonuses, Support on: August 30, 2023, 03:51:07 PM
That’s interesting to know and I didn’t realize it but now it makes sense. In many of the Stake threads, posters with Stake signatures keep repeating what another Stake person just said.
Yeah, that's a problem you can see with low-quality members irrespective of which campaign they participate in if there is no proper quality control. As you know, Stake has a big budget for advertising, and it seems like visibility has priority over quality. Despite that, the quality (or lack of it) of a signature campaign can't be used to assess the quality of said casino. Not many people that I know have had issues with Stake.
1815  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What happened to Coinomi? on: August 30, 2023, 03:34:33 PM
I wouldn't risk using them anymore when there is solid open source multicoin alternatives like Unstoppable.money wallet or Komodo wallet.
I was wondering why I haven't heard of the Komodo wallet and remembered that there was an altcoin with the same name. No idea if it's still alive today. After a bit of research, I realized that AtomicDEX rebranded and changed its name to Komodo Wallet. Their new website is very weird. Many times when you click on something, it wants to download Komodo documents to your computer. They don't have a page that clearly explains all supported coins and tokens, though. It was the same with AtomicDEX.
1816  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: August 29, 2023, 06:16:56 PM
Update:

I said that I would remove Betnomi from the collection unless something positive happens, the site comes back, or we hear a reasonable explanation from their team about what is going on. Judging by their inactivity, it doesn't seem like that is going to happen. Their forum representative hasn't been online since July. The scam accusation thread that Mahdirakib created also doesn't contain any new information. I was also waiting for icopress to see if he heard anything from Betnomi representatives or perhaps got his money back, but there is silence on that front as well.

The scheduled maintenance notification is back on their website. If you remember, it was there when the site went offline, but some time later it was changed to some server error. Now it's back saying the site is under maintenance. Who cares any longer.

Betnomi is finished.
1817  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What happened to Coinomi? on: August 29, 2023, 03:56:17 PM
Your thread reminded me to check on my old Coinomi wallet which is still on my phone from back in the days when I sent some "aspiring" privacy coins to it thinking they might boom in the future. What an idiot. Grin Anyways, the app loads and syncs just fine. I thought it didn't because it was showing Bitcoin at $27.5k. I thought the wallet went nuts as I haven't checked the price today at all. Turns out there was decent pump today.

The choice of altcoin wallet would depend, you guessed it, on the altcoins you have. I doubt you own that many, so I think you will get by by installing official releases by those projects. I often need Tether, for example. My Ledger does the job for that, and if I need it when on the go then TronLink Pro has everything I need.
1818  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What Wallet Do You Store Your Bitcoin? on: August 29, 2023, 03:43:28 PM
The first advantage, the BTC stored in the wallet is only us who control.
That depends on many factors:
- How you created the wallet and generated its keys.
- How you stored those keys.
- What type of wallet you used. A custodial wallet differs significantly from a non-custodial one if we are talking about control of the keys.
- And if you took all the precautions to ensure the wallet is recoverable if and when needed.

So you are clearly saying that it is better to use BlueWallet for storing Bitcoin compared to Electrum using mobile apps? Can I know dude, why?
I combine Electrum for desktops with my hardware wallets, but I wouldn't use the mobile version as my go to mobile wallet. As Z-tight explained, it lacks important features that Electrum's desktop and Blue Wallet possess. I have tried Electrum on my Android and it never felt right. It feels like such a hurried release that doesn't work properly. It's not unsafe, though.

I suggest you download and install both applications and create test wallets. After that, see for yourself. You will notice why Blue Wallet should be the better choice. At least, for me it is.
1819  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS since 2014 : KYC Rankings, Bonuses, Support on: August 29, 2023, 03:27:52 PM
There is heavy advertising here for Stake. Many signatures are Stake's. This isn't to say that Stake is a bad book, it just says that advertising is heavy here.
I wouldn't pay that much attention to advertisement and signature campaigns when determining the quality of a casino or a sportsbook. Besides, I don't like the way Stake and their people run the signature campaign on Bitcointalk. Anyone who spends a lot of time on this forum and knows its most quality members will realize that none of them are in Stake's campaign. A more professional campaign manager would have enabled better weekly pay rates and attention to quality and not quantity of posts like it is now.
1820  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS since 2014 : KYC Rankings, Bonuses, Support on: August 28, 2023, 06:30:32 PM
Take a look at the scam accusations here for the last 90 days. Nitrobetting, Betcoin and mBet have 0 accustaions while Stake has 4.
Nitrobetting and mBet have absolutely no activity in their ANNs, and I doubt many people on Bitcointalk use them. Hence, it's only logical that you won't find scam accusations against a site with very few active Bitcointalk players. If you take a look at their ANNs, the only posts are those from their forum representatives. Betcoin is almost the same. The last 3 pages are almost exclusive to match previews and promotions posted by their forum account.

Stake, on the other hand, has a lot of activity. I haven't looked at the content of those scam accusations you mentioned, but take any scam accusation you see with a grain of salt. I visit the scam accusation board occasionally. There are valid accusations but not as many as you would think. There are many fake ones posted by abusers of all kinds who are angry they got caught and would like to see the world burn. Some accusations are totally baseless or don't share a single piece of evidence.
