P.S.A.-> There's a command [1] in the bitcoin core client as well that  does allow you to spend the unconfirmed balance(btc).
[1]->
Code:
-spendzeroconfchange

Only for change(!) though, so its coins you previously had anyway. AFAIK core does not allow you to use unconfirmed receiving inputs. Well, unless you create a TX by hand, but thats always possible even for fantasy inputs that do not exist.
1802  Other / Meta / Re: what are mining, meta, technical support and other ? on: April 21, 2016, 12:28:32 PM
can any please tell me that how are these gonna work? and what kind of post could be posted on these? please explain ?

Are you asking what the subforums are for?

Meta is to talk about the forum, this is where this thread would belong. Mining support is support for mining Bitcoin, not to be used in case of any Altcoins. Technical Support is for more technical/advanced topics, like backend stuff the typical user has no hand in.

Actually tech support is meant for bitcoin core related issues. What you describe also stays, unless it would better fit in "project development" (e.g. Im developing Y and need help with X); beginners and help (basic questions); development & tech discussion (protocol specific questions); service discussion (e.g. I send TX from bc.i and I get error Z) or one of the other wallet specific boards.
1803  Other / Meta / Re: Things not against forum rules but frowned upon by community! (Beta!) on: April 21, 2016, 12:24:04 PM
Sorry, im not on DT so I can't test it out.

You potentially could give a positive rating to everyone you successfully trade with. You just have to remember to put their name (starting with a tildi) in your trust box. This excludes from your trust list, therefore not adding then to DT.

Giving someone a positive rating does not add them to the trust list.

So you can +trust them without a moment's hesitation, right?

Yes.

Why is it frowned upon? Is it because your +rep can still affect other people's decisions to trade with the guy, who might in fact be a scammer, or am I missing something?

I think DT members are more sparse with giving out positive ratings, because they directly influence the fancy numbers everyone loses their shit about. Giving someone a green paintjob for a 5000 satoshi deal might look like Im selling trust.
1804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a transaction be cancelled on: April 21, 2016, 12:20:30 PM
-snip-
To be honest i never did that, but i read somewhere (probably here on bitcointalk) that this is possible in Electrum wallet.

I will try to find that thread..

Edit: I cant find this thread, but someone asked in behalf of his friend who sent transaction (probably) from blockchain wallet without fee, and transaction of course was hanging.. Someone give him advice to export keys to Electrum wallet because (as he said) there is option to fill/change transaction fee..
I don't remember whether it worked or not.

Sounds like a double spend to me.

If I remember, you also have participated in this discussion .. Smiley But im not sure it was around month ago. When the number of transactions has increased and there was a lot of problems due to too low fees
Mainly it was about to withdraw hanging transaction from blockchain wallet (because of low fee) and move it to different wallet ..

I dont remember honestly, I gave a lot of advice during the last high demand period on the network. I hope it helped. What you describe sounds like a double spend to me. The reason I think someone (or me) suggested to export to electrum was that blockchain.info does not allow you to "reset" the blockchain data. It will always see your last TX and thus not allow you to double spend it. Electrum can be reset to a state where it does not know about TX A, so its possible to create a TX B that double spends A.

Thanks all, will be patient!  Cheers

If you want, you can send me your IP via PM. I will try to connect with my home node and let you know if it worked.
1806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message?! on: April 21, 2016, 12:05:20 PM
oh man wow...great tutorial..thanks a lot

If you want to thank me, post a signed message. Its good for both of us. For you because you can see that you can sign a message that someone else can verify. For me because I know you actually learned something.

1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: maximal real time to be incorparated into the blockchain on: April 21, 2016, 11:37:44 AM
Still an appendix to your last please/question: Look at the
URL  https://blockchain.info/tx/b92e377073088d714d0850d49116835f1ae8cdb9acb4be229faaeecde8fea5cc

Of course this is the finally accepted new TA which is now in the blockchain. The TA which was hanging for 48 hours (listed in blockchain.info's pool as unconfirmed transaction), had exactly the same structure. Only one txout-address was different and its value was not 9.9999 BTC, but exactly 5 BTC (and 130 BTC were reused and not 125 BTC by the same txin-address).

I hope this helps a bit.

The thing is that there is no longer a "standard fee" you can set or remember and always get a quick confirmation. Thats the reason newer versions of bitcoin core come with an algorithm to estimate a good fee for the current[1] state of the network. If you do not want to update for some reason at least check with pages like https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

[1] obviously this isnt entirely true, as the data will always be slightly outdated
1810  Economy / Reputation / Re: Newbie trust on: April 21, 2016, 11:33:14 AM
As we so nod like newbie don't have any trust rating at the start
But so so get negitive ratings early into the tar on here
Shy is that and do his can a newbie grow hid trust so  ore members will trust him

Hope someone can answer this for me

Thanks in advance

#1 no reputation loans
#2 dont try to buy trust
#3 unless you have collateral, dont try to get a loan until your account is worth something
#4 having a good trust rating is overrated, be someone youd like to trade with and people will trade with you again.

my script get hash, amount etc.. but i need wallet of player.

There is no simple way to get the "sending address"[1]. You have to check the inputs, but more often than not there will be several inputs. Its better to let the user set an address you store in your database along with their other information.

Code:
txid = dc8697d1afd6c7ac2f667cd3239e19bf227a7b5ce8be64b2f8bb3c626979425b # "random" one from the block to the hash that Polyatomic posted.
raw_tx = getrawtransaction(txid)
decoded_tx = decoderawtransaction(raw_tx)

within decoded_tx you will find a "vin" section with a value "vout" and a txid. If you check each of the txids you will see that they have a "vout" section. The outputs that created the inputs that are used in the TX you received. Find the one where "vout" matches "n" and look up its address. In this example there are 4 inputs, all "from" the address "1NgrpJJj2PMj9RsHutVK7vf8dchcpfM4YZ", but you need to decide how you want to handle different addresses.

IIRC the data is mixed formatted, arrays within JSON, but that might be different for PHP.

[1] there is no such thing

ok. i will experience..

but how make it secondstrade.com ?

bet is send to address only. no need enter player wallet

AFAIK they do it in this crude way, same as most ponzi "games". If they warn you not to use certain wallets, they almost always just assume which is your address. This can fail horribly if your customer/user uses a wallet where they share addresses with others or use something like CoinJoin. A common example for shared wallets are most exchanges. You have your own deposit address, but when you withdraw the coins come from a different address. If you return coins to the address they came from they will be credited to a different account (if at all).
1812  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a transaction be cancelled on: April 21, 2016, 09:50:55 AM
As far as I know Bitcoin transaction cant be reversed and that what's actually making it so popular.

But u should wait until a transaction gets 7-8 confirmations in order to ensure that everything is alright as there is a possibility to be cancelled with no fees if not confirmed in 2 days.

Good luck mate.

A transaction can be forgotten by the network if it didn't get included in a block for a longer time (i think it's random, usually between 1 and 7 days???).

There is no fixed time. You essentially have to wait until every single node has forgotten the transaction or (to make it invalid) until a different TX that spends the same coins is confirmed. There are unconfirmed TX on some blockchain explorers that are 5 months old. If only a single node remembers it can rebroadcast the transaction to remember all other nodes. This will fail though if a different TX spending the same input(s) is already confirmed.

Stake Your AltCoin Address Here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1444963.0

Pretty straight forward really, use this to stake an Alt coin the same way you would stake a BitCoin Wallet address.

Thread was deleted?
1814  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GenCoin: Submit your Episode Ideas on: April 21, 2016, 09:17:21 AM
I think there should be a semi-strong emphasis on the legitimate uses of cryptocurrencies and portraying it in a more positive light rather than the standard "bitcoin is evil and used for crime". From the trailer, it seems like there is a strong focus on the criminal aspect of Bitcoin, rather than the positive.

I get the "bitcoin is a company" vibe from the trailer and it makes me cringe. Might be just the trailer though. I get that its crime related as its easy to create story arcs around crime. Looks like they also play the underdog card, so it might be a success. I dont think it will do anything for or to bitcoin though.

In terms of marketing an actual "GenCoin" with an ARG similar to what coinartist[1] did with bitcoin[2,3] might get some attention.

1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: maximal real time to be incorparated into the blockchain on: April 20, 2016, 09:43:06 PM
Thanks for your thoughts, Danny.

The first thing you'll need to share with us to receive good advice is what wallet software (and what version of that software) you are using.

In your post you state that you used Bitcoin-QT in January, but I assume you either used a different wallet this time, or you changed some settings on your Bitcoin-Qt wallet because Bitcoin-Qt doesn't re-use the same bitcoin address when you have the default settings.

0) I don't need to delete the TAs from wallet(-history), but from unconfirmed-TA-bitcoin-network-(nodes-)pool ! (I have older usable back-up wallets).

1) Always I use bitcoin-qt 0.8.6.0 since the last years.

2) You are wrong. Bitcoin-Qt 0.8.6.0 (and also older version I used)  reuse the same bitcoin address often -- as I can simply state from own expierience.
It is a pity that you can not see the set of in-use-addresses and moreover control from which addresses coins should be used/sent for a new TA. :-/

3) Meanwhile both Tas are deleted from the unconfirmed TA-Pool listed at blockchain.info. It happens during I wrote my first message about 3,5 hours ago (which sadly got lost due to user-error on handling this web-posting-software while reviewing). Thus I know it was more than 48 hours listed but less than 49 hours. The second seems to be deleted in the same short time interval. Thus I assume someone (at blockchain.info?) removed both Tas manually after reading my post here.

Thank you.

Regards
achim

I dont think that someone from bc.i is reading along here and removing your transactions from their mempool. I suspect that your client is set to pay a too small fee, which causes bc.i to remove it from mempool automatically. Later versions of qt/core have a fee estimate to avoid this. Can you post the raw transaction so we can take a look at it? You get it by entering

Code:
getrawtransaction txid

in the console. "txid" beeing a placeholder for your transaction id.

1819  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to get privatekey with base58 to get real address - help me please on: April 20, 2016, 09:22:29 PM
Someone with the same problem reported the solution to be this page.

Thanks for your information.
I have found a decoder - http://lenschulwitz.com/base58

Just entered the resulting hex format into bitaddress' wallet details and received the WIF key. Btw, that key starts with "L"  instead of "5". Does that mean they are  still generating older versions of bitcoin wallets before encoding it to base58?

Maybe it can help you as well.
