Maybe changing that scrypt algo may help...try lyra2v2 It will gain gpu support.

skein just doesn't seem to earn enough... maybe its the algo switching and the larger value coins don't come in regularly enough to keep it profitable. I have seen my average slowly decrease since adding all the algos so I think I may be pulling it from the batch; but I will leave the code at the bottom for people to paste in if they want to use it.
Interested on any others opinions....
Yes profits are dropping for me too..almost down to the price of electricity. Did you find an increase since dropping skein algo? thx |

Yes all profits are down .... almost to the level of nicehash ..it should be much higher because the coins we mine are low difficulty coins. I can see it on Minercontrol. EDIT: I cut and pasted from the MinerControl OP, and will start with just Zpool. The cut-and-paste fits fine in Notepad. I also notice lower payoouts from Zpool. The switching seems more smooth than with a batch file. I have configured NiceHash and Zpool. Apparently, you can add non-listed algos if you are using a YAAMP clone, as I have been adding many of the Zpool algos. After I let it run overnight, I'll have a better opinion. --scryptr Yes the switching is great... you can have it do any type of switching due to the dynamic switching pivot amazing. add non-listed algos? can you give me an example plz scryptr? I can't find any support in any release of ccminer. What a shame.
I believe cudaminer supports scryptn but that's ancient. spent 30 min trying to get an app with it to no avail. gave up. Yes it looks like the links to the apps are gone. I have everything ready to go for 2 years been awhile though ..I'm rusty .... it's a shame it was taken off. Try http://ccminer.org/ for apps. |

It's a problem on all algo's where you have high difficulty high value blocks mixed with low difficulty low value coins. If you switch to Lyra2v2, you really hope for a VTC or MONA block to be found, otherwise your contribution gets wasted on low value merged mined coins. One of the problems with myr-gr is that saffron is only functioning on 2.5 out of 5 algos. A lot of hash rate gets wasted on rejects until one of the other algos pushes it along. Another problem is that some junk algo's such as c11 gets bursts of high pooled hash rate far above its average hash rate. Another issue is that the block notify mechanism cannot solve blocks as fast as block winning hashes coming in on some coins. I would suggest a longer algo wide PPLNS time period is considered, but there are many more issues as to why an algo falls short of its estimate. On the c11 issue .. Minercontrol Kboma ver. 1.6.5.1 has a setting that ignores those spikes called outliers. |

It seems like the intention is to implement a platform (I'm not sure you could call it a blockchain), with tokens (although Taler.net likes to call them "coins") which correspond to various types of currency.
Unfortunately, after about 20 minutes of looking through the site and documentation, I haven't found any real details about how the coins are actually created...

I replaced just my 970 with a 1080 and the temp in my room has been night and day difference.
The only thing I hate is the price but oh well.
As Epsylon3 said above maybe down the road the cards can be taking advantage of for mining.

Any tips for Top 3 Algos this week?

2. X11evo

There were some crazy spikes in XRE coin reward share/value I got today. My boxes did stay on that algo for a bit as well... but my script has been switching me between a lot of the algos.. and with great frequency...... Id have to say x11evo, skein, x14, x17 in that order for my GTX980. Can't comment on neoscrypt cause the reject bar graph is scaled wrong. If someone knows where that graph is in the yaamp code, ill probably be able to figure out where the decimal really goes.... but I think its supposed to be a percentage of current hashrate, not the whole number its showing. I'm about to put online a dual GTX275 for giggles. My friend brought me some kinda older PC's and 2 had the same card... so I figured... why not see what they can do for fun =) I wonder if it will hash more than a single GTX560. Was pretty cool; got two watercooled i7 machines, and one core 2 quad file server machine to build some miners out of. Recently there have been some good deals on GTX 960's... why is NH reporting lyra2v2 as their best algo for 980 Ti? Because the 980ti is great at that algo..... compared to other cards. And a lot of renters. But you need to use the right software for it. Not all ccminer forks has it optimized and the difference is huge. Roughly 8.8 MH vs. 20.5 MH on my GTX970. Yes true. I have the optimized version. |
