Hi Guys, its time again!

See you tonight.

I know there are some questions on the timing of the tournament, but with 24 hours a day, its hard to please everybody.

At this stage, it needs to stay at this time zone for the foreseeable future.

For those out of hours, there are freeroll poker tournaments available I believe.

Good Luck and see you later tonight.

Steve.

90 registrants with 3 hours to go - 150 might be realistic?! Say what you want but those spammers are learning fast, don't they!  Cheesy Cool

Dear supporters of my case, I have outstanding news.

https://imgur.com/Q4w5fxu

I am 100% sure this would not have been possible without your help and support in this case and I want to thank you for that.

How do we proceed with the flag, from my point now this case is resolved.

That’s great news and I am more than happy about it! Smiley

Now withdraw and play elsewhere if you ask me... Wink

Quote
- For the record we will not count posts in games and rounds section, Archival, Local, off topic, politics and society, Signature and Bounty campaigns. Posts in these threads and boards where the Signature is not displayed will not be counted as eligible.

1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Online Gambling Affiliate - Make Money Promoting Online Gambling on: April 22, 2020, 10:46:04 AM
How to create a website

You want to become a successful gambling affiliate, you need a website! If the whole online marketing thing is new to you, creating a website may seem like a very hard task but trust me - itīs not as difficult as you think and technically creating a nice website is much easier than you would think. Read this post and you will see itīs no rocket science at all! Smiley

I will focus on how you can easily set up a new website and everything that is needed to so and best of all: Not only is it going to be easier than you may think, itīs also not going to cost a fortune!

Quick start guide on how to create a website in 4 steps:

1) Buy a domain

You need to get a domain - a domain name is the address where your website can be found online, for example efialtisweb.com. Prices for domains have been dropping and you can buy a domain for around $10 for a year - many times even way cheaper as domain name registrants are often offering promo deals. A common address to register a domain name is namecheap.com but there are many more out there. Please stay away from "free domains" - nobody will take your site seriously if you go with a free domain (with alternative address) instead of spending $10 for a year...

2) Buy web hosting

You donīt only need a domain name, which is your address, you also need some space online, where you can upload your website and this is called web hosting. Your domain name will be pointing to this space. Many people use GoDaddy for their web hosting but you could even get cheaper deals elsewhere. Again, I will name a few more options in a separate post. When buying web space, you shouldnīt only look at the lowest price - a lower price usually means worse support, more downtime and you donīt want that for your website!

3) Build your website

Well, before putting anything up on the Internet, you will of course have to build a website. Years ago, building websites used to be much harder than nowadays and people needed more programming/designing skills. Most affiliates bought designs or used free ones and edited/customized them via software such as Dreamweaver. Great news: Forget all of that! Thankīs god there is Wordpress nowadays! With Wordpress, you can get your site up and running in just a few minutes - literally! Wordpress is a CMS (Content Management System) that is very easy to use and I can highly recommend it. Itīs not just "a" but "the" most popular CMS in the world, individuals as well as companies are using Wordpress and they are doing so for good reason! Wordpress is open-source, itīs free, itīs customizable, it supports many languages, it supports millions of themes and plugins. I will create a separate post on how to build a website using Wordpress.

4) Upload your website to your web space

After having bought a domain and hosting, you need to upload your files to your web space. This used to be harder back in the day because with Wordpress, you will now be able to automatically install it with just one click (for example when using GoDaddy for your hosting). Otherwise, you can use various ftp programs in order to upload files from your computer to your web space. FileZilla is a common option but there are many more. All you need to do is entering some hosting info and you will be able to transfer files directly to your web space.

You see, building a website and get it up and running isnīt very hard - itīs pretty easy. This is just a quick guide of course covering only the basic steps. Anyone and I mean it, anyone can create a website, itīs as simple as following the 4 steps mentioned above. More detailed posts covering the specific steps will follow shortly (I hope rather sooner than later).
1806  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nitrogen Sports Report, account closed, money stolen on: April 22, 2020, 09:47:27 AM
It definitely does - you are not allowed to sign up under any friendīs / family memberīs / co-workerīs affiliate link - as simple as that and thatīs with every program out there! I didnt even need to read the T&Cs by the way as this is industry standard - do your research plz. Smiley

I just pasted some excerpts of the T&C that are also somehow related...

Sorry efialtis but Lauda is right here. You are confusing affiliation and account sharing/multiple acc.

Edit: This is actually highly relevant as Terms & Conditions were violated. Full stop

I don't see any T&C violated here.

It says you can't HELP another person register.

Self affiliation has to be proven. Connecting from same ip/network is no such proof.

Commercial Use Only
Our marketing and affiliate opportunity is for commercial use only. You shall not register as a user or make deposits to any user account (directly or indirectly) for your own personal use and/or the use of your relatives, friends, employees, agents or advisors, or otherwise attempt to artificially increase the affiliate commissions payable to you or to defraud us. Violation of this provision shall be deemed to be Fraud Traffic.
Now since you bought this up in here or I would not have any f**king idea about this term at all. This is first time I heard/found a site asking affilitaes commercially and individuals can not become an affiliate.

It basically says you are not supposed to yourself register via your own affiliate link, and you're not supposed to fund the account of any OTHER user than yourself, directly (funding yourself) or indirectly (like sending him a btc bonus to his addy for him to fund).

Disagreeing all the way with you - and I guess we arent lawyers to make an argument. Fact is, you arent allowed to use a friendīs affiliate link - I can tell that without having studied law... Itīs forbidden almost always by the way - Amazon has been kicking out dozens of thousands of people doing exactly this.
1807  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nitrogen Sports Report, account closed, money stolen on: April 22, 2020, 09:34:39 AM
OP signed up under his friendīs affiliate link - they are also co-workers

--> this is a NO-GO and clearly violates their Terms and Conditions (not just with Nitrogen but with every affiliate program out there). And in my opinion this is not some shady term hidden deep in the terms to f*** up affiliates/players, it actually makes sense and is absolutely understandable.

This does not mean what you think it means. Read it again. It means you should not register AS your (listed relations). This does not mean you can not use the affiliate link of somebody you know to register your own account.

It definitely does - you are not allowed to sign up under any friendīs / family memberīs / co-workerīs affiliate link - as simple as that and thatīs with every program out there!

No. This T&C does not state what they want to state. It is improperly written if they want to state what you claim, and is improperly written for other casinos then too.

This is what happens when you do in-house T&C writing by a blog writer or outsource it for $20 to some pajeet.

Again, I hate to be the one pointing this out, since we are alt-accs, you know I hate it. ^^ And yeah, it could probably be written better. If they want, they can even let this situation fall under "self-affiliation" - on their site they mention more than once that self-affiliation is prohibited. But then again: What exactly does it mean? Does such a situation fall under self-affiliation? I guess you could have lawyers discuss this for hours. Wink

First of all, I am very happy to see that Nitrogensports are now going to (hopefully) handle this issue in a professional manner and of course I hope OP will get his money.

Still, please donīt hate me for that guys but I cant believe what some of you are posting - my 2 cents on this situation (based on how I understand what happened) can be found below. It may sound "hard" but thatīs not my intention, we should always stay objective though. Again, I hope OP gets as much as possible out of this. Smiley

Also, the rest of my post still doesnīt change the fact that Nitrogensports could have handled the situation much better.

--> Nitrogensports are well within their rights to act the way they did by suspending both accounts as well as holding back payments. Basically, the fact alone that OP & Affiliate confirmed they are "related", is enough for termination.

Nitrogensports Terms and Conditions excerpts:

Quote
Affiliate

Introduction
By using any of our promotional materials, or any information relating to our affiliate program, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.

Volume Commission
Nitrogen Sports uses a volume based commission structure. All affiliates are paid 0.3% of wagers placed by their referrals. A wager is calculated as the lesser of the amount bet or the amount that can be won on a bet.

Disclosure
You shall provide truthful and complete information to us when operating as an affiliate of Nitrogen Sports.

Restrictions
You may not (a) market our website or place marketing materials where you are targeting those under the age of 18, on sites that promotes illegal activities, or when it violates intellectual property rights; (b) market in a way that may potentially confuse or trick a user or prospective user; (c) register as a user on behalf of any third party, or assist any other person to register as a user; (d) attempt to intercept or redirect traffic from or on any online Website or other place that participates in our affiliate program; (e) violate the terms of use and of any search engines or customer feedback forms; (f) attempt to market or promote our websites (or specific website) within territories which do not allow bitcoin gaming; (g) place marketing materials on any online Website or other medium where the content and/or material resembles or frames Nitrogen Sports in whole or in part could damage our goodwill or reputation in any way.

Referrals
Self-referral is not permitted and is considered abuse of the affiliate program. Fraudulent affiliate accounts which are used for self-referral are subject to be permanently closed and funds retroactively debited for all fraud affiliate payments.

No Employees
Employees or consultants of Nitrogen Sports are not permitted to participate in the affiliate program or to use directly or indirectly any of the websites, other than in the course of your employment as an employee. Similarly, relatives and family members of employees are not permitted to participate in the affiliate program or to use directly or indirectly any of the websites.

Proper Use
You agree that you will not benefit from known or suspected traffic generated using unacceptable internet marketing practice or fraudulent procedures, whether or not it causes us or the user harm. Should fraudulent activity, knowingly or otherwise, arise from a person directed via your link, we retain the right to retract the commissions paid to you at any time. Our decision in this regard will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. We reserve the right to retain all amounts due to you under this agreement if we have reasonable cause to believe that such traffic has been caused with your knowledge.

Well, if they even found some sort of "collusion" / same IP / etc., itīs even easier for them to refer to their Terms and Conditions... As stated in my previous post here, itīs NEVER a good idea to use a friendīs affiliate link - even if you ask the respective affiliate program in advance with them "approving" it - I have seen such cases where programs "changed their minds" at some point...

As a conclusion, Nitrogensports didnīt act the way they should by being transparent and coming up with clear statements. Blocking a customerīs support access and even sharing his private details... thatīs a big red flag! I really hope they will pay whatīs due in order to end this situation and so that everybody can learn from it and move on.

Thanks!

I know this lockdown may not continue as much as we imagine or maybe not even as much as we need to be staying at home before we could go out again, however do you think this will continue? I think this could literally turn into a stream with casters and something quite fun and entertaining that could turn into a huge marketing chance for SwC other than just another topic on bitcointalk.

I would like to also join in but now that everyone has already moved up so much in the ladder, I do not feel like I could come in and make any difference at all right now so I think I would join in if there is a second one that you guys would do when this one ends. Lets hope that this becomes a tradition and continues forever and we can always find people to play, this is probably one of the biggest crypto poker tourney I have ever seen and should be regarded as such.

We definitely plan to make this a regular thing so you will definitely have a chance to join bitcointalks 2nd ever poker series. Smiley As far as I can tell, we are all having lots of fun (even though I personally suck big time!) and I am very happy about the number of players and how everybody is looking forward to the tournaments. Stay tuned...  Cool

Here is a topic about Paysera, that is locked as well by him, without any responses. And looking at this post, he does not seem to be a newbie with Paysera:

We should tag tha guy tbh... There is no point in doing what he does... except for getting people to click those links, while not allowing anyone to comment and even deleting those if neeed. Man I am starting to feel like forum police and I dont like that...

I saw that thread today (for the first time), I didn't notice the earlier post by tyKiwanuka, I knew it was suspicious due to being a self moderated and locked, so I opened the link (in a private new tab) and it redirected to https://sportsbet.io/casino I checked tried other link he had posted and it was all redirecting to the same page. I tried checking the url to see if there was some sort of affiliate or referral links, but none. I already reported him to the mods, though.

EDIT:Here is checking properly the url firstly redirects to tinyurl link which then redirects to  https://sportsbet.io/casino?refAff[source]=e6fa8cf6ac&refAff[affiliate_id]=2554&refAff[tracker_id]=2755&refAff[creative_id]=1297&refAff[zone_id]=

Just saw that, too - it is indeed an affiliate link. I will forward this to the sportsbet guys so they suspend the account, hopefully...

I only saw this now and I feel sorry for OP! Nitrogen definitely not handling the case in a professional manner and that sucks big time - reason enough to stay away from them.

On the other hand, I really tried to understand the whole situation but I didnt get it completely to be honest and I am not 100% confident that they actually "scammed" you - based on ToS. For example the affiliate thing - I have been in that game for many years - you will always have problems when referring people you know personally, I saw that happening more than once.

Anyway, I have had contact with the Nitrogen guys some time ago and I will kindly ask them to show some more professionalism and re-evaluate the case.
