200BTC I would do it for less.
It should be a dutch auction. People should start quoting lower bids.

Its nothing right now.... I am just waiting for the bitcoin to rise to $10000 so that i can buy 51% shares of google
If fiat loses its value, all assets (including shares) will go up in price (fiat denominated).

That would be great for gold. Bitcoin? Not so sure.

When the internet started off, a lot of people thought it was associated with nothing but pornography.

Just bought 3 more BTC for 1k, like a fuckin BOSS
Oi! Showing off is prohibited. stop it! If you have it, flaunt it. There were people who felt pretty smug because bitcoin's price "fell" to $500. They don't look so cool now.

ummm...girls gone bitcoin no?
That is where all the girls are I bet they get paid in fiat, while their 'facilitators' rake in bitcoins.

I believe that now it is time to scrap the tx fee. The miners are hardly getting any benefits out of the transaction fee and the opponents of Bitcoin are using it as a weapon to attack the Bitcoin community.
I am sure the spammers would love that. They would. And it won't happen anyway! ;-) And, has been stated, you can always use no fees depending on the age of coins etc. Opponents of bitcoin only use it to attack bitcoin in front of people who don't know any better, so education regarding free transactions is key. Sidechains are also going to be very important. Yes, to a layman who has always heard of transaction fees in USD/percentage terms, Bitcoin's transaction fee structure can be quite abstruse. Education is the key.

Reminds me of the film "Mask of Zorro" where tens of people step forward claiming to be Zorro.

The blockchain technology does not belong exclusively to bitcoin which means anybody can use it
Anybody can start a new blockchain, but will it be supported by the processing power that backs bitcoin? Why would anybody switch to a brand new blockchain. Bitcoin's blockchain is where all the action is.

I guess google is already working on gleaning information from the blockchain and getting targeted ads in place.

Why should someone (not knowledgeable about bitcoin) should start spending hours and hours to learn about bitcoin's concept. Why should that someone start right now?
He will have to do it anyway. Bitcoin is going to be everywhere in a few years. So might as well spend that time now.

When you find half a BTC you put on a paper encrypted wallet... but have no idea what the passphrase is...
CRAP.. lol.
If you don't manage to figure out the passphrase, and bitcoin price shoots to the moon. That moment......

Someone jsut cracked me up saying bitcoin will stabilize at "0" in a couple of years. Show him/her the following Stat and ask for his/her opinion... A statistical explanation why 1 BTC may equal 1M USD in future... Value of 1 BTC (around figure) 2009 => 10 -2 USD 2010 => 10 -1 USD 2011 => 10 0 USD 2012 => 10 1 USD 2013 => 10 2 USD 2014 => 10 3 USD 2015 => 10 4 USD 2016 => 10 5 USD 2017 => 10 6 USD --- Early Adoption Ends Here and The Price Stabilizes --- 10 4 in 2015 seems way too optimistic now. In 2012 10 3 appeared to be too optimistic for 2013 as well You do know where the price at the end of 2014 appears to be heading.

It is way too early in the lifespan of bitcoin to predict anything. It might become as ubiquitous as the internet, or it may die out slowly. Only time will tell.

This is great news. They should work on implementing it across the world. Getting your hands on bitcoins is real difficult in some countries.

To me the price isn't that important as 80% of my Bitcoin holdings are profit from trading.
I buy low and sell high, then cashout my initial investment to secure that. The profits in BTC will be sent to my cold storage wallets.
But the reality is that probably 90% of the people are in Bitcoin to make money.
The problem with that is if you are caught on the wrong foot during sharp price movements, all your profits could get wiped out. People thought they were buying low when they bought at $400.

Just hold them for the long term. The value protection mechanism of bitcoin is wired into the protocol.
