1801  Economy / Economics / Re: With Hackers everywhere, How safe is Cryptocurrency? on: January 31, 2018, 06:56:02 AM
Its no longer news that an ICO in Japan has lost over $400 million to hackers. They promised to pay back investors who invested in their ICO. Thsi is a huge loss. After I read that news, I began to wonder. How safe is Bitcoin and Other altcoins? What measures should we take to avoid being hacked ?

Crypto is actually really safe, what's unsafe are the companys holding our money.

You are right, crypto currency are totally safe but we have to keep it in a safe wallet for without being hacked. If you keep you funds in online wallets or in exchanges then no one is resposible if that money hacked.

Crypto currencies are really safe until it kept in a wallet with private key access.

Hello people! I have a million dollar question!)))) Who will tell you what the ripple is expecting this year? I think that he can hug, as he is artificially pulled up. Who has any thoughts on this?

Wow,I am too amazed by your million dollar question. Grin

There is already a big thread about ripple speculation in altcoin disscussion section,so you may get the answer for your question there. And it is a wrong section to post your question buddy. Smiley
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: tokens listed on exchanges after ICO on: January 30, 2018, 05:59:09 AM
Hi, I'm a newbie in the crypto world...

I was wondering, when buying tokens on ICO, is there any 'guarantee' that the token will be listed on an exchange? In other words - how can one know for sure that an ICO token/coin will be included on an exchange after the ICO is finished?
ICO investment is much riskier because some of the tokens will not be listed on exchanges if they can't make enough funds from the ICO sale.So you need to incvest on the project with good project team then the risk will get lesser. But no guarantee that it will be listed after the ICO.
1804  Other / Meta / Re: How do I get merit and trust? on: January 29, 2018, 07:43:13 PM
collect 10 quality posts of yourself and post it on meta section

Wrong. IIRC There are undisclosed number of merit sources as posted my Theymos here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
But I guess its easy to find out over the days and postings by the merit sources.
Owh,sorry for that.I thought we have to collect our posts then post on meta section to get merits. But it is to become the merits sources and then we have to find the quality post of someother as well, because that is the main job of merit source.Find quality posts and merit them.
1805  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar getting weaker... effects on cryptocurrency on: January 29, 2018, 07:23:01 PM
There is no connection between the price of crypto currencies and US dollar,if there is price fall in the US dollar value then it will leads to the price increase on crypto currency when we convert the crypto currency into dollars. If the dollar getting more weaker then people may start using crypto currency in their day to day usage but still we are in the early stages so nothing can be predictable now.
1806  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can a jr.member still participate in a campaign? on: January 29, 2018, 04:39:10 PM
No more signature links for Jr.members which means there is no more signature campaigns for Jr.members.

But still many campaigns accepting Jr.member but I don't know what is the reason for accepting them because they don't have signature links and no purpose of hiring them unless only can bear the name of that project.

But in future the campaign managers won't accept them the only way is get 10 merits and become a member rank to participate on signature campaigns.
Yes you are right,I am also found that Mr.Theymos said there is no more signature links for junior member because nowadays lot of farmed accounts are created for the intention of joining in campaigns so restricting Jr.meberes can stop spamming of the forum very much.

So,in future the managers maybe accept the participants based on their merits rather than their rank then it is a good way to reward the quality posters. But Junior members can participate in social bounties but no more signature campaigns I think.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still the dominant virtual currency in 2018? on: January 29, 2018, 03:16:26 PM
Bitcoin is still dominant because it is still the expensive crypto currency.Every year the price of bitcoin is falling at the beginning of the years so this may heppening this year also. But the price will increase in the coming days and will prove its dominance over its competitors.
The main reason for the crypto currency fall is happening due to the regulation of crypto currencies in most of the countries so investprs are confused still their government will ban or legalize bitcoin. So it may take some time for all the conditions to be setteled.I hope the price will increse from March of 2018.
1808  Other / Meta / Re: How do I get merit and trust? on: January 29, 2018, 06:03:12 AM
I am still new in this and i want to learn more about it. I just want to asked what is merit and trust for? How can i earn merit and trust and where can i get it? Are merits and trusts important here?

You can get merits through quality posts but not all posts will be merited as per the current situation, because there are only 49 merit sources so it is hard for them to see you quality posts.
So you can collect 10 quality posts of yourself and post it on meta section then they will give merit if it is quality enough.

Trust can be obtained through trading, managing campaign but never ask anyone for trust feedbacks it is against the forum rule.
1809  Other / Meta / Re: How to earn merits easily ? on: January 28, 2018, 02:48:51 AM
with new bct update to become a full member need 100 merits and i still have only 10 merits. What is the best way to earn merits
Its very simple, post some good quality posts then it will earn you some merits. Smiley That is the only way you can get or earn merit.

If you are getting the merits in some other ways means you are abusing the system and you will get tagged by DT. Grin

1811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Signature Bounties and local language forums on: January 27, 2018, 07:08:23 AM
I'm curious what other members experience is with signature campaigns and getting the required weekly post counts in local language forums? I have a friend who is interested in joining a signature campaign however his English is not great. Would he be able to exclusively post in his own local language sub-forum? What are other members experiences with bounty campaign policy generally regarding this? I realize each campaign is different but I'm just after a general sentiment.
You can found the bounty campaigns on bounties section of alternative crypto currencies,in that the signature campaign allows users to post on local boards also,so you can complete you minimum quota on posting local boards only.
But many of the campigns won't pay you in the end so we have to pick the right campaign.I suggest you to pick the campaign which are running by the reputed manager. So the chances of scam projects are very minimum
Recently I saw a bounty campaign running by yahoo one of the best manager so if you want participate on that campaign.

The link for that bounty from yahoo is here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2801253.0

*Merits are welcomed

1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best wallet of erc20 token? on: January 26, 2018, 07:11:21 PM
Myether wallet is the best ever wallet for erc20 tokens because it will support all the tokens and new tokens from ICO.SO we don't have to worry about recieving the tokens on MEW.In some other wallets we need to contact the wallet support to ask about that their wallet will support this token or not.If you send the tokens to the unsuppoeted wallet then your tokens will be burned and it can't be recovered.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 👤WHICH CRYPTOCURRENCY ARE YOU? | PERSONALITY TEST 👤 on: January 26, 2018, 04:58:04 PM
I consider myself as monero most undervalued skills and I never got enough appreciation for my work, like whats happening with monero most anonymous coin but the value is toolow. But soon the price of Monero will shoot up like I am gonna be a millionaire one day. Grin
1816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where to find the best wallets.. on: January 26, 2018, 02:49:27 PM
Hi mates, I need some help here. If I have many types of coins and I want to save them, what is the best coin to hold them in? And are there a wallet which can hold more than one coin? And if so where I can find such wallets and download them?
Waiting for your answers.
Thanks a lot.
There are different wallets for each coins so you have to pick wallets based on your holings and some wallets which supports multiple coins,One of the best multiple coin wallet is Coinomi and it supports most of the reputed altcoins. If your coins are based on ERC20 then you have MEW to store them.
1817  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why the price of crypto seems so volatile right now ??? on: January 26, 2018, 01:00:41 PM

Since January seems cryptocurrency market seems down I do not understand why? what's going on now?
The only reason panic among the crypto currency user or holders which was created by the news of banning crypto currency in China and South Korea. Now the market is recovering slowly but I think it needs atleast three months, maybe we can see the normal crypto charts after first quarte of 2018.
1818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Loss or Profit? on: January 25, 2018, 07:54:10 PM
22 December 2017 was really a bad day for all right?
But seems all was okay for old players with big holdings didn't matter much at all, well I have heard people saying that it didn't effect them much. But what about new players? I was one of the new investor months back and im still recovering lol... well anyone here wanna share your grief? anyone here in big loss?

Most of the people are now worrying who bought bitcoins at December 2017.Because now the price of bitcoin is just half from the ATM of bitcoin which just happened few weeks before. But they are not lost anything until they are holding their bitcoins.
Yes,surely bitcoin will recover and reach new all time high soon or later at this year,so hold your bitcoins until it hit your desired or goal amount.
1819  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best online Bitcoin wallet ? on: January 25, 2018, 01:29:46 PM
I've used web wallets several times and I think the best ones are btc.com, blockchain, and coinbase. I've been using it for over a year and have never encountered any problems.

In my opinion the best online bitcoin wallet would be blockchain.info, I like on how it is recommending the fees and also at the same time you can adjust the fee but still it covers the recommended customize fees.
I had some problems with them before but their contact support is really attentive and serious with my concerns so by contacting them, they helped me and that's not a matter to me anymore.
Blockchain.info wallet facing serious bugs problems so I don't think it is a good wallet, but I am also used the blockchain wallet before but I never faced any issues while sending and recieving coins and the fee also very less when compared to coinbase wallet. So these wallets are better for day to day usage of bitcoins. But as fas as security concerns web wallets are not safe because we are not controlling the private keys.
So software wallets or hardware wallets are best because the funds will be safe.
1820  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Minimising Capital Gains Tax on Cryptocurrencies on: January 25, 2018, 11:58:54 AM
Any suggestions on how one may avoid tax or minimise tax on crypto currencies?

I will be based on where you living,in my country there is no specific taxes for using crypto currency usage so we have to pay taxes according to our income monthly or annually. So in that case we can try to use bank accounts of different persons while trading so the taxes will be less.Because every govenrment has some minimum limit per month to pay taxes.

*But I don't know it will be applicable or not for you!
