1801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Bots Comparison on: July 23, 2020, 09:47:56 AM
I have personally used Eonbot, Profit trailer, gunbot and a couple of others.

However, I have found that none of these is really able to automatically open and close trades profitably without extensive tinkering.

If you don't know how to make a profit using automated strategies already, then you're unlikely to find success using any trading bot.

They really should have a service where they offer to both install the bot and set it up for you with a good strategy. The base strategies for most of these bots (like ping pong and roller coaster are trash in bear markets).
1802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading using someone else's funds on: July 23, 2020, 09:17:43 AM
Your math is completely correct.

Since your friend loaned you 23% of the principal amount (your money + his combined), then 23% of the final sum can be attributed to his investment.

Therefore even if you ended up with $100,000, then you could say 23% of this ($23k) is attributed to his investment.

Then you'd simply give him half of this $23k as per your 50/50 split arrangement.

That said, I'd seriously avoid playing with other people's money, but if you do, make sure he agrees you're not liable for any losses.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: July 23, 2020, 07:37:09 AM
Loma is the more skilled fighter but the long layoff will have a greater impact on him than Lopez. I don't know if a fighter his age can remain sharp without being active in competition.

It's not like Loma is old lol, he only turned 32 a few months ago. I don't think 32 is old for this generation of boxers. Pacquiao is in his 40s and still going strong.

You can bet your ass that Loma is still training like a beast in this period though, these guys never stop.

Lopez is the one most likely to sit around and waste time, since he probably hasn't developed the grit and determination that loma has had a decade longer to forge.
1804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Finding Altcoins With Potential on: July 22, 2020, 11:00:17 PM
I personally look at all the latest projects that were added to CoinGecko, and then isolate the ones that are in trending categories, like DeFi, second layer solutions etc.

Among these, I then look at which have the best use cases, team, tokenomics and partnerships—and yet still maintain a low supply and/or valuation.

Then, I take a look at how these companies are trying to position themselves, are they building hype? Are they a sleeping beast operating in stealth, do they have hedge fund or venture backing?

Based on all of these features, I then decide if it's worth buying in, and I'll usually only buy in at private sale prices.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 102: The Provably Fair Slots (with poll) on: July 22, 2020, 03:55:02 PM
Is there any reasons crypto.games isn't on this list? It also offers slots with a provably fair checking tool:

Currently supports over a dozen cryptocurrencies.
1806  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐ Largest wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: July 22, 2020, 12:03:10 PM
Just spotted this epic win on the Litecoin slots:

0.05 LTC ($2.18) to 7.45 LTC ($324.82) at the click of a button.

Imagine it was a 1 LTC bet!
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin soon will become a boring investment? on: July 22, 2020, 10:31:14 AM
It is a boring investment already, only noobs are really hyped about Bitcoin in the short term.

All the smart money is looking at the smaller market cap cryptocurrencies. These small cap coins are often able to experience meteoric growth with just a small amount of new capital moving in, simply because they lack liquidity and have few holders.

Take a look at what the crypto hedge funds are doing, then follow their example. You'll find that most of their new money is on microcap coins at private sale prices.
1808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the wallet is hacked, what should I do? on: July 22, 2020, 10:22:26 AM
It's extremely simple guys... Don't send your private keys, seed phrase, or other access credentials to anybody for any reason...

Nobody from any reputable firm will ask you for this information, and it's not necessary to solve any information you're having. It's not like a credit card where they need the information to pull up your account, if you hand over your private keys/seed phrase/recovery mnemonic, then you are essentially handing over ownership of your funds.

Always verify the PGP signature of the software you are downloading, and never accept any excuses for why this signature verification fails.

If in doubt, always ask somebody trustworthy before thinking about handing over your private details, there are plenty of people on this forum who would be happy to help. Just create a thread in the beginners and help section.
1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Medalist Bought Bitcoin on: July 22, 2020, 09:50:22 AM
Well most athletes and celebrities aren't seasoned investors.

Just because they have achieved some success in their respective fields, this rarely translates to the field of investment.

For example, just because somebody can run a sub 10 second 100m dash, doesn't mean they can also spot lucrative investment opportunities better than other people.

I'd personally avoid looking at what any of these celebrities or influencers tell you about any project—odds are they were paid or convinced to shill it.
1810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 22, 2020, 09:20:18 AM
McAfee has already announced that this was a complete troll post and that he's not going to eat his dick.

It's a shame really, I really don't like this guy.

He's an absolute bane to the cryptocurrency industry and nobody should give him any attention or respect. He's single-handedly responsible for tens of thousands of peopel investing in shitcoins, and has been involved in more than a few pump and dumps.

He's a glorified shill and the quicker he goes away the quicker the industry can start recovering from his BS.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting biggest winners. on: July 22, 2020, 08:25:42 AM
I have a friend that managed to rack up $14,000 from a 50 cent accumulator betting on a single night of boxing.

I also have another that turned $50 into $97,000 by betting running an accumulator for the last NFL season, and then he stuck the whole thing on red (roulette) and lost it all.

Myself, I've managed to turn $200 into over $1,800 on two occassions by predicting the round Anthony Joshua (boxer) would knock out his opponent.
1812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: July 22, 2020, 08:01:25 AM
You're exactly right, most bounty hunters are too stupid to research, whcih is exactly why they participate in bounties to begin with.

Rather than making real money and investing that money in high quality projects, they instead trade their time (mostly spamming) and earn a bunch of random shit tokens with no potential.

The projects that are actually likely to succeed don't need to run a bounty. They have thousands of investors lined up to buy out their token allocation.

Don't make the same mistake that thousands of bounty hunters are making. Break the cycle and you'll be better for it.
1813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: July 22, 2020, 07:23:18 AM
If you dont have enough experience in trading, it is better to start with smallest amount possible. Check with regulated brokers what is minimum amount to deposit. If you see that you can earn money with $100 than you can easy increase your investment

You can even go one step further and just trade on platforms that have a live demo feature, there's plenty of them available—even for spot exchanges, derivatives and margin trading platforms.

Alternatively, you can just plot your entry and exit points using a technical analysis and charting tool like Teamviewer, most of the exchanges have integrated this anyway.

Just google "cryptocurrency exchange demo trading" and you'll find a bunch of platforms.

Be careful though, most platforms only give you a fixed amount of testnet funds to play with. After that you'll need to either recharge it move to the main trading platform.
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to Sell LEDU on Dcoin!! Fake Volume? on: July 21, 2020, 11:37:59 PM
You should take a video of this happening, then send it to Coinmarketcap and Coingecko so they can get delisted.

Exchanges like this shouldn't have any users, and most people don't notice these underhand tactics to fake their volume.

I personally only use exchanges that have got at least $10 million in genuine trade volume across the entire platform, any evidence of wash trading and I'm out like a light.

Dcoin is definitely an absolute shit exchange, try a DEX or something instead.
1815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on Crypto.com's Earn and Binance's Savings? on: July 21, 2020, 11:19:12 PM
I personally use Binance's savings products but have read about Crypto.com and other similar platforms.

Personally, I'd stick with whichever one has the most skin in the game, e.g. the one that stands to lose the most if it were to run off with user funds. For me, that's Binance.

We all know that binance absolutely rakes in the money through trading fees, so there's no wonder how they're able to pay 3-10% APR for its crypto savings plans.

Crypto.com, however, I've got no idea how they are able to sustain their rates, and they're not particularly transparent about it either.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any successful and relatively new casinos? on: July 21, 2020, 11:05:56 PM
BetHash is pretty new and still seems to be doing well, despite being based on the dying EOS blockchain.

Lucky.Games are also doing well as far as I've seen, since they managed to launch after getting some success from their BetKong platform.

I still hesitate to play at new casinos though, since I always feel like they're just waiting for the right moment to run away with the bankroll. At least established players in the space have been shown to not run away even when handling tens of millions in player funds.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I have an idea about betting on bitcoin on: July 21, 2020, 10:37:10 PM
These types of things already exist, they are known as prediction markets. They are similar to gambling.

There is also a website that allows people set a public bet, and people can arbitrarily bet for or against it. e.g. Bitcoin will be under $500 by January 01, 2021. It also covers practically any other bet, since the users are actually the ones that set the markets.

Forgot what the website name is though.

Whoever manages to find it and posts it will get 1 merit. (PM me so I see it).

Following up with this, I managed to remember the site, it's called predictious;

https://www.predictious.com/

I've never used it, but it basically describes the feature that OP mentioned.

There's a few interesting bets on there though, and there are bets in five categories:

Sports
Politics
Economics
Entertainment
Science & Tech

I'm not a fan of how the system works though, so won't be trying it myself.

1819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: July 17, 2020, 10:03:28 PM
Honestly, if you're not trading with at least $10,000, then you are probably wasting your time.

Remember, you don't need to actually have $10,000 in your account to open a $10k position—leverage exists for a reason, make good use of it.

In order to generate a fair yearly salary (~$40,000) form $100, you would need to multiply your money by 400x... That is just unrealistic.

However, if you're moving $10,000+, you only need to turn over 300% profit, which is still difficult but doable by the right traders.

Realistically, you'd need to be moving more like $100k+ (leveraged or not) in order to generate a living from trading, since that would be a more modest 40% ROI.
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: July 17, 2020, 08:55:18 PM
Holysh*t Pacman again?! That guy has done so much in his boxing career. Let him retired in peace Grin
He still can do charity/exhibition match though, but not a serious one.

Anyways, I don't think Loma can go up two weight divisions again as he is too short https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB-Uz4QWnS4

They could always meet in the middle. I wouldn't be surprised if Pacman doesn't just take up one last fight with this era's greatest, just to see if he's still got it in him.

He already got smashed by TBE (Mayweather), he probably wants another shot at greatness, rather than just knocking over the tincans he's currently fighting.

It would be a huge money fight for both of them, and it would be competitive too—skills vs size. Loma would ruin him though let's be honest.
