1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fish arcades on: August 10, 2021, 03:37:00 PM
I was thinking deeply about what was it until I remembered a group gathering at one table in an arcade.
Yes, that was it. It was a fish shooting game. Or is it catching?  Grin
One time I got deep watching the players whacking the buttons and it seems like they are having a lot of fun.

I think this is what you are looking for.

Sadly, it needs registration. Oh, I would love to try it since I never had a chance to play it in an arcade before.
Will there be other players on the other side or is it just bots? Who has tested this game?

1802  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 10, 2021, 10:25:34 AM
Expecting it from Mid-November to December again as employees will have a lot of money to spare with their Christmas bonuses.
Well, it's earlier, I'll take it.  Grin
Volatility strikes again, you will just never know when these whales starts moving their money to Bitcoin again and somehow let other people feel the regret of not doing the purchase as early as possible.
I have seen lots of FUD and impatient investors, maybe they already sold their bitcoins and not take their chances.
Popcorn, anyone?
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 10, 2021, 09:01:15 AM
I guess all I understand upon reading it fast is that there's no legal liability, so this trade will not be cancelled but they might just pay a monetary penalty in proven guilty.

This was the most interesting part from the article you shared.

Quote
No matter what happens, though, this much is clear: even those who want to stick to the rules will be compelled to walk the fine line considering that the benefits far outweigh the costs.
And that's what the NBA had been targetting in the first place. The fine.
They've been spending a lot of money on these players and they didn't give a chip for NBA management.
It could've been silenced if they just did that.
On an optimistic view, it could be NBA is just trying to warn all the teams to follow the right time upon doing the trades. We will see if it did work on the next trade deadline.
1804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Elon musk launches his own coin? on: August 10, 2021, 07:38:13 AM
Now everyone rarely pays attention to Musk's tweets. He has no trustworthiness。
Maybe he launched his own token, which may be one of the hype coins, but no matter which token Musk launches, it is similar to Dogecoin or Dogshit. Everyone will also invest after market analysis.
You must first understand the project before investing
Thank goodness for that, finally.
After he bombarded Bitcoin with all his FUD just for the purpose of investors switching to Dogecoin for his own profit-seeking habit that's what should happen to him.
Obviously, it will occur if investors are wiser now than they were few years ago.
A stagnant project won't get them anywhere, when I mean stagnant it's not about the volatility or the price, it's the future.
All that hype he made for poor Dogecoin was all just for him. Now they can also lose a lot of supporters because of him.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 09, 2021, 03:05:31 PM
That's true, he really has a stellar season with the Celtics, but that serious injury ruined his future.

2016-2017 season was the best season of his career where he averaged 28.9 points. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/thomais02.html
next season, he played with 6 teams already up to now.

His total earning so far is $31 million - https://hoopshype.com/player/isaiah-thomas/salary/ and that's 8 seasons of playing, while other players only gets that in one season.
That hurts for someone who is on his way to stardom but suddenly broke down because of his injury.
He led the Celtics to the Finals in 2017 even with his height which is amazing. Then, the lowest draft pick to be named as an All-Star. (2nd round, 60th pick)
That's all his hard work and yet not paid well enough but thankfully the Celtics fans appreciated him and gave a standing ovation while wearing a Cavs uniform.

32 years old. Still young, there's still a lot of years to play. Just fix that hip and be ready to go.
Kobe blessed him after the tweet.
1806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep Bitcoin while getting benefits on: August 09, 2021, 02:01:07 PM
Mostly it will be with trading. You need to buy it back and gain some.
What you gain could be your starting point to make more profit and keep the initial investment that you made.
Just be sure you won't move that whatever happens.
Cons: Monitoring the crypto industry to trade better. Being active with any events that happen inside or even outside the crypto industry because some of them will affect it. It's a lot of work and that happens daily.
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments prohibit developers from creating a new coin? on: August 09, 2021, 10:36:47 AM
Absolutely not No one can stop the development of new coins I think they will continue to evolve and grow and basically we will keep getting new coins including shit coins and money will keep changing hands so my advice is simple keep doing what you are doing and maybe take advantage of one or two fresh diamonds in the market and take care while it shines
Not true. They can stop it.
Try Binance as an example. No headquarters and some traders that had a problem with them do not know how to sue them without an address to fill up.
If you are a developer and creating a new coin for a new project you will need that because it will also add a trust rating that may become the reason to magnet purchasers. What if your government forbids it? It's not easy to move forward if your own country is against you.

Looks like Michael Jordan liked the way James Borrego handled the Charlotte Hornets.

The Charlotte Hornets are finalizing a multiyear contract extension for coach James Borrego, sources told ESPN.
Mostly, they just fire them if they can't reach the playoffs after their contract but it's different.
I think what changed everything was when LaMelo came. Not all rookies are given that amount of minutes in their first year but Borrego took the risk and it ended well until Ball was injured.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 08, 2021, 04:53:21 PM

It seems like the Lakers likes to experiment with their line up, when they won a championship, they still added more players and shifted some to other teams, now this is the biggest change of their lineup as they have a lot of additions, more veterans mean more playoffs experience, and with that, it will result to better chances of success next season.

That's normal, Lakers are a big team, they can afford to sign more players, and having Lebron in the team makes the team confident that they will again win a championship. I think they learned from their mistakes, they miss the chance for a repeat because of an injury, having more players that are capable to carry the team when one star player are injured would still make them a good contender.
They are signing short contracts for veteran players as they think chemistry won't be an issue for them.
With their experience, they could just go out individually in offense and if they miss, they will just to do better defensively which most of them are good at.
It's a good experiment but I doubt it will work with teams that has great chemistry like Bucks and Suns.
Let's analyze it maybe after 10 games. They may show worse at the first few games.
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba inu on: August 08, 2021, 12:03:21 PM
Maybe it's also time to start cleaning whatever you are following.
Those rumors that you get are not healthy anymore and you should unfollow them to stop receiving joke rumors.  Grin
Shiba Inu is a dog, it was created for the purpose of copying the hype of Dogecoin which is also a dog.

If I were you I would sell it now. That's if you bought it at 0.000006+. Because there is a good amount of profit now at 0.000008021. Escape while it's early because soon the traders or bag holders will wake up and take their profits. Hurry.
1811  Economy / Economics / Re: China - everything is fine! But everything is bad ... on: August 08, 2021, 06:16:45 AM
They have the highest production rate of the different things sold for a cheap price.
People have jobs but that's it. You can't really get rich doing the daily job given to you. And there will be problems like health if you are working in a factory or other chemical manufacturing industry.
It will not take long before a civil war will happen. People of China will get exhausted about their daily repeated lives without the freedom to choose what they want to do. It looks good on the outside being on top of the production industry but it stinks on the inside with high labor and low salary.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: August 08, 2021, 03:55:55 AM
Imagine you put a big amount of money on your favorite, he knocks the other guy out and that guy dies afterwards, can you still enjoy the money you won?
Surely you wont be happy about it but these players are professional and aware of the risk for engaging themselves in this kind of sports, plus they're well-paid. There are incidents ending up to this unfortunate situation but its not the aim of boxing and the other sports as well. That's why it requires an athlete to be mentally and physically fit before getting into a fight because it has risk of having a serious injuries.
That's why they say "always protect yourself" and they have to exaggerate that to avoid unfortunate moments like dying in the ring.
Ethical. MMA had worse and it's also called a sport. You can see blood splattering all around the ring turning the floor from white to red and then broken bones.

I think people just enjoy those types of games. People hurting each other and see the length of how resistant a human being can be.
Even in other sports like basketball. We enjoy it more when the game heats up and they are starting to hurt each other. "Malice in the Palace"  Grin
It's human nature and not about ethics anymore.

I like to see your opinions about this new drama guys.
I tried to read some at the comment section of this tweet and a lot of people are mad about different tamperings that were unchecked by NBA management.
Few examples are player-to-player meetings.
But why this Lonzo and Lowry trade was being dug.
Is it for the 10 million fine or they are just trying to remind every team to follow the right method with trades?

Quote
Two years ago, NBA elevated maximum tampering fine to $10M for teams and opened door for suspension of executives, forfeiture of draft picks and voiding of contracts. Team execs can also have their communications – such as phone records, texts and emails – randomly audited.

1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KickEx and KickToken, what can you say? on: August 07, 2021, 02:09:09 PM
And what can you say about KickEx? Is it ordinary exchange (I mean like Binance or Kucoin) or has some pitfalls? It seems to me that nobody trade on KickEx, just robots or idk.
Just robot. The volume can be manipulated easily. You must also try to see there were bunch of accusations to the p2pb2b, coinsbit, latoken etc and kickex was in the same tier as these garbage exchange sites. it's not the same like the largest exchange site in the world (binance and top 10 exchange sites. )

That's disappointing if that is where it is compared at.
I've heard about this Kick in a video streaming NFT supporter. He was supposed to just use the topic token but he inserted "kick" as an example for using PancakeSwap.
My knowledge about this is very little that's why I am looking for different opinions in this forum. But, I am devastated by what I saw with so much negative comments about it.
Maybe I should also stop following that guy that reviews NFT projects.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 07, 2021, 12:58:58 PM
Boomers won!
It's the first time in their whole Olympic competition to have a medal.
I have high expectation for Luka but Patty Mills (42 points) and Joe Ingles was just dominating the game.
But this is a good sign for the Slovenian team, maybe at this point, more players in their home country will have more passion for basketball.
This is also their first time to go that far at 4th place.
1816  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin an independent property? on: August 07, 2021, 12:31:10 PM
If it is recorded then yes, there will be a split when you are married.
If not, you die and all the bitcoins will be in your grave without anyone having knowledge about it.
If you try to pass it to one of your children without the knowledge of your wife then it should still be shared, unless you are Richy Rich that your wife won't give a damn about those Bitcoins.
Independent Property? Just like I said, it depends if you listed it in one of your properties for security measures.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 07, 2021, 03:40:21 AM
I disagree though, Even if Klay is back in the line-up, Wiggins can still contribute, his been effective and has increased his 3 point field goal percentage with GSW. And I think he will be developed like Igoudala type of player, playing good defense. Against Lebron, he has successes, I remember a game when he guard Lebron and James did have a hard time with him. Wiggins even blocks Lebron in the post and make him commit errors.

And speaking of Iggy: NBA free agency 2021: Andre Iguodala says he's returning to Golden State Warriors. So he will be coming back to GSW and probably retire with them.
Wiggins proved himself in that play-in tournament. He is making progress with the GSW team so I agree with you.
This might become a bad trade in the long run. He is a good reserve whenever the splash brothers are taking their rest.
I don't know what GSW management is thinking but he had made some adjustments and averaged double-digit per game.

Iggy is just looking for another 5m this year.  Grin Retire on your championship team is just an alibi to be signed.
1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 what to expect on: August 06, 2021, 08:37:01 AM
I don't want to expect much to avoid being hurt in the end. But, I want to stay positive about it.
If the value will be stagnant for a long time, or worse going downward I want to be one of those strong enough to keep it.
Bitcoin started with that. Supporters had the courage to patiently wait for the value to be strong and it did.
Burning the tx fees is a good idea. No more picky miners. I am not against them but if its for a good larger picture then I am in.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 06, 2021, 06:14:42 AM
Guys, I can't believe it, I was convinced Slovenia will beat France.
We cannot deny that it was an excellent and disputed game. In my opinion Luka doesn't play very good, including 2-9 (3 points) I'm surprised!

I don't know, but I believe the USA has more chances to beating France in the finals than Slovenia, Luka is one of the few players in these Olympics who "can dominate" some USA players.
It was not his night on the offensive end but his assists were something to be admired.
That means he didn't give up even though he is having a bad night and the referee grilling him with bad calls. Then he received the tech that shuts him down.
There are still winners in this bet. Congratulations to those who bet for +1.5 Slovenia.

France vs USA. -12.5 for USA? Isn't it a bit much underestimating the France team?
Might as well just take the + for France which I think has a better chance to win.
1820  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you been grateful for today? on: August 06, 2021, 04:42:21 AM
It's easy. You just need to be contented with what you have.
Daily food on the table should suffice especially in this pandemic.
There are kids outside who won't experience that or never will but we can and that should be enough to be grateful every day.
Even just the roof above your head is something to be thankful for. What more with the ability to make profits just using logic and a computer?

I know what is happening. Because of our smartphones that are always glued in our eyes wherever we go, we forgot to look at our surroundings.
I realized that long ago when I started to just listen to music when traveling and just look at my environment. Compare what you have with them.
