but I will quite literally put my ass on the line for the 1.5 BTC loan.
Care to explain what this means? If you don't have collateral, the chances of you repaying are slim, no matter what saying you use.

Well, OP managed to scam a little bit of coin. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) Next time remember to use the "Report to Moderator" link at the bottom right of each post.

I propose showing a hash of users' IP addresses with each post to publicly identify sockpuppets. In particular hmac with a server kept secret so that the hashes themselves have no direct unintended value except for comparison. Perhaps with an option in the settings to view them or not.
You missed a third option - useless. There is free and easy access to unlimited proxies out there. A person can use a different IP for each account.

EDIT: Tried to post screen caps, but they are .png's and site wont show them.
You are a windows guy, right? Open in paint and save as a jpg.

What incentive would you have to even pay it back?
His 8 post reputation is important to him. Seriously, no collateral, no loan. Ever.

After looking at the numbers, I'm really tempted just to buy a BFL miner. But I don't have a spare room and I'm not really equipped to handle the noise and heat that I assume they generate.
So, I'll invest 2 BTC with you. Given the hash power that you already have, I think it's favorable.
I think you'll never see your coins again. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Thanks. Waiting to hear the conspiracy theory's from the others about what my future intentions are because i repaid a loan that i said i was going to repay. Should be fun. You said you would pay back on a certain date and you didn't. Those are facts -hardly a theory. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I'll keep on issuing warnings as I see fit.
I think you'll prove yet again you are a scammer detector, sir. I have added you to my default trust list. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hello! Over the past week I have invested in bitcoins as a hobby and have had a bit of fun. I have only used coinbase as a wallet which seems easy and userfriendly. I have downloaded a wallet for litecoins and a few others and have absolutely no idea how to use them. Is there a good place to start to get some info on them? I apologize if this is a silly question, thanks in advance ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Have you tried searching youtube?

Are there any guarantees in how long this website will stay up? It would be cool to know (for example at least 5 years). It seems a little pricey, if the price of bitcoin goes up any further, it will become very very pricey.
His website claims it will keep your pixels " on this page until the end of the Internet." But he's only registered the domain for one year. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) You give to this site and you're just throwing your coins away.

Thank you for the offer but i wouldnt be needing the loan if i had 205ltc (205x40=8200$) .
We only require the funds for marketing and intense promotion so we arent looking to gamble or lose away the funds and the website such that we are expecting to break-even in less than a month and then we would be repaying the loan .
Lose away the funds? Should of paid more attention in school kid. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

Sorry that's the conclusion you came up with! But entirely wrong. Sucks the internet has to be treated as a place where everyone is potentially lying. The WoW acc is worth WAY more than 1 BTC and I honestly would never like to use it as collateral because of the risk on my behalf. It's worth a lot more, thousands alone in items from www.WoWTcgLoot.com and to me and to other people who would pay A LOT of money for various items / perks that come with having an account that's been active on the same server since 2004! I guess I would somehow have to describe my idea without giving it away to convince someone that I'm good for a loan, I don't even need 1 BTC to trade and make away with daily profits + pay interest + expand knowledge as a cryptocurrency trader!Excellent. So you don't need this loan anymore. You can lock the thread at the bottom.

In particular, these two red flags seem like a pain in the butt to me. I totally get why a scammer would try to falsely establish trust by using a fake-but-realistic name. But what about those of us who have invested a lot of real world effort into building a trustworthy name? I value my name a lot. Any thoughts or advice on this?
You value your name - no one else does. You have to prove your value to us with your contributions to the community. There are no shortcuts.

Tried BTC jam already and no luck lot of loan requests there .........help me out here ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Why a loan? Sell the shares for the coin you need, then repurchase the shares later when you would have repaid the loan.

Are you providing any collateral? A $1000 USD loan is quite much, without any form of reassurance to the lending in case you default.
I have a World Of Warcraft account worth well over $10,000 (TCG items + other legendaries + rare mounts) character name --Destruct--Lightning's Blade What else do you have in mind besides my WoW acc, because I would use that as collateral as long as I can take the gold off to somehow make the collateral equivalent to the amount of the loan, and how much interest are loans usually ? I was hoping to get something at 5% perhaps, for 14 days? I have a brilliant idea outside of day trading that I would like to put into action. Makes it likely you are looking to lose your WoW account, and default on the loan. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

Wow this site is full of doushbags ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) and assholes who want to steal money.... Wait you don't even know me and rush to snap judgement. That "I will steal your money" no not that kind of person If I barrow from people I pay them back simple as that. I don't know any of you and you don't know me that's fair enough. But to just treat someone who is asking for a hand up and not a hand out like they have already stolen from you is just awful. Posting in here asking for $22,000 with no credibility or reputation is also just awful. Stop playing us for fools.

Looking for a 11 BTC loan for Two 2TH/s miner from Phoenix Technologies Ltd. As a means of funding our project and to help me out too. Will payback double if wanted. Have id and other stuff. live in Chapel Hill, NC USA. any questions about this loan post below. I can have the miner in December. As for collateral I have a collectors item a Google Cr-48 sent to me by google during the Chromebook prototype testing the Cr-48 was the first test notebook issued to testers as i was one. still works and is in it's original packaging.
That is asking for a $22,000+ loan and offering an item worth less than $100 as collateral. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.XGoogle+Cr-48&_nkw=Google+Cr-48&_sacat=0&_from=R40Why would anyone do this anyway? They could buy the miners themselves and keep all the profits.

Why would it be a bad idea to lock posts like it's done on auction sub, and prevent people from editing/deleting, there, too?
I think it would be a good idea. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
