18141  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChipMixer is scam now - 1BTC stoled on: August 07, 2019, 09:08:20 PM
asking the admin to ban if they don't solve my problem would be asking the admin to ban if they are scamming the members.
First: Bitcointalk doesn't ban scammers. That's important to know when using this website.

Now you calling my loss only discomfort to defend them is not at all reasonable.

And I'm actually very calm despite being upset.
I've been there, these things make you worry big time. However, as I said, give them some time to respond, it's not the first time there's a hiccup, but I've always seen it resolved (within a few days).

Fifthteenth week paid. (Sorry about the delay. Cheap Taiwanese flux capacitors again. Embarrassed)
Are you okay or did your flux capacitors break? I got so used to your flawless timing Cheesy
18143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need help, transaction stuck? on: August 07, 2019, 06:46:57 PM
According to the current estimate in my Bitcoin Core client, it should confirm within 4 to 8 hours.
If you're not in a hurry: just wait.

Already submited on viabtc.com accelerator, but i don't think they'll do anything.
ViaBTC is the real deal.

Update: The transaction is confirmed, by ViaBTC.
18144  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's (Personal) Trust Flag viewer [daily updates] on: August 07, 2019, 06:15:44 PM
I can help? Smiley
No, all it needs it patience Smiley
I've prioritized uploading the Trust Flag viewer, and I'm updating it now.

Update: Daily updates should be automated again, let me know if something goes wrong.
18145  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Support my flag against Nekoma2018 on: August 07, 2019, 06:03:52 PM
Quick question: why isn't there a notification feature to all DT members each time a flag is created so we don't have to beg for support here and there. This notification can be in the form of a pop up message so they can be alerted about the flag and decide whether to support it or not based on the available information.
On average, 10 flags are created each day. Sending a popup message to 500 users would be terribly annoying. Supporting a flag means spending enough time to really know the details of what you're supporting, and for that reason, I've only supported a few so far.

My Flag viewer will be online again soon (only half a million files left to upload). I've manually prioritized it, and will run an update soon. Please check it for flags you want to support.
18146  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChipMixer is scam now - 1BTC stoled on: August 07, 2019, 05:40:32 PM
There are 2 things to check:
1. Since the transaction was made just yesterday, you should still have your session token. Can you still log in?
2. Is 1HJGazVPvPaNHPxGYMcMUVQWZkfctMq7JY really the address the website shows? You wouldn't be the first to lose Bitcoin because of a PC infected with clipboard hijacking malware.

If the address is correct and the token is still valid: just wait for them to respond by email. Support isn't fast (and if I have to guess, that's because they too value their privacy and take precautions when going online) but usually answers and provides a solution within a few days.

I've never seen a scam accusation against Chipmixer
I've seen some problems, but they always got resolved. Sometimes something goes wrong, such as bitcoind failing:
We have had similar problem in May and June - bitcoind connection was severed and could not be reconnected. Fix was deployed a few days ago along with a few cosmetic changes (minimal amount is back to 1 mBTC, bet button has been removed) but as we see now - it does not fix the issue. We are still working on correct solution.

You'd be a very capable troll, that's for sure.
Indeed, I stopped reading after the first sentence already Tongue
18148  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request support for Flags here! on: August 07, 2019, 01:41:49 PM
I always find it hard to identify a type 2 and type 3 flag.
It took me a while too, I had to identify them for my Trust Flag viewer. Normally I would refer you to my site for the exact type of each flag, but it's still uploading data (currently 75% to go).

I took these notes on 3 flags which can be withdrawn:
type 1. Newbie warning: 'alleges: Due largely to the factors mentioned'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=29
WITHDRAWN: 'alleged the following, but later withdrew it: Due largely to the factors mentioned in'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=37

type 2. Violated implied agreement: 'violated a casual or implied agreement, resulting in damages, in the specific act referenced'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=30
WITHDRAWN: 'alleged the following, but later withdrew it:'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=9

type 3. Violated written contract with damages: 'violated a written contract, resulting in damages, in the specific act referenced'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=41
WITHDRAWN: 'alleged the following, but later withdrew it:'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=35

I'll add this overview to the OP.

BTW what is your goal with information of the 20 last posts?
I don't have a goal, it's something Pffrt asked about.
18150  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request support for Flags here! on: August 07, 2019, 01:22:25 PM
Is this flag type2 or 3?
It says "violated a written contract, resulting in damages", which means type 3.

Why don't you just copy the files and restart the node afterwards?

18153  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buy empty bitcoin private key on: August 07, 2019, 08:38:23 AM
Some tend to believe that they can trick others (maybe authorities?) with claims they had Bitcoins in the past but they don't have anymore.
That would be my guess too, and by publicly posting the addresses here, they become worthless for that goal.
18154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [AUG 2019] Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs! on: August 07, 2019, 08:22:41 AM
Today I was in a hurry, making a few payments for hosting. To prepare, I consolidated my 2 inputs into 1 at 1 sat/byte yesterday.
Even though coinb.in recommended 1 or 2 sat/byte, I went as high as 4 sat/byte. My transactions got confirmed in the next block.
Low fees can work! Meanwhile, Bitcoin Core and Mycelium recommended a 6 times higher fee.

I paid the first 2 services in 1 transaction. I could have saved more on fees if I would have sent all 3 outgoing payments at once, but the last one wasn't ready yet when I started.
18155  Economy / Reputation / Re: Viewing unedited posts and deleted posts on: August 07, 2019, 07:51:24 AM
Hmm... Website seems to be down, might want to take a look at it...
Great! I was waiting for that Smiley

Now see if I can get it back up Cheesy
18156  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [Eclaire mobile wallet] Can send, but not recieve on: August 07, 2019, 07:34:01 AM
I can help you out with this, I'll give you several options:

1.
I've been running LoyceV's Legendary Little Lightning Loans for 2 months now, and I can also do it the other way around: send me 0.0001BTC (10,000 sat), and I'll send it back to you when you want it. I'd give you 100 sat interest too, but you'll need more receiving capacity to be able to use it.

2.
Install Bluewallet. This is a custodial Lightning wallet, which means you have to trust them with your funds (so use small amounts only), but you can instantly receive LN funds. Send some there, so you get some Receiving capacity in Eclair. Note that you have to send more than the minimum channel reserve to be able to receive something back (10,000 sat will be more than enough to test).

3.
Sell some of your Lightning funds for either on-chain Bitcoin or an altcoin. I've used coinplaza.it a few times for this, as it has the lowest fees I could find.

This is currently severely broken Sad
18158  Other / Meta / Re: Truth about bitcointalk users 2.0 on: August 07, 2019, 05:55:48 AM
Lately have not had the time to scrape the forum. In order to scrape it faster you could use multiple virtual machines, it took me less than a week to scrape those 2,37 million.
I don't want to do that, as the "1 request per second" limitation is set up for a reason.
18159  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Criticisms of the Lightning Network on: August 06, 2019, 07:07:54 PM
Both Eclair Mobile and Bitcoin Lightning Wallet allow user to backup their Lightning Network channels. The former allows creating local backups as well as encrypting and uploading them directly to user's Google Drive account automatically. As far as I remember, the latter asks user to pay for its backup service. It might have changed, though.
My Eclair client makes backups on Google Drive, and I've never paid them directly (only with my privacy). I think Google Drive is part of the ~15 GB Gmail storage space.
I've never tested the backups though.

But most user don't run full nodes, rent a VPS or both
I think it was BitCryptex who mentioned a VPS before: does it require storing the full blockchain to run a full LN node? If so, any cheap VPS won't qualify (the cheap VPS I bought recently has 25 GB only).
18160  Other / Meta / Re: [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk on: August 06, 2019, 06:11:37 PM
I need a bigger hosting plan, but I can't get that as my current hosting plan is hooked to loyce.club. So....... I've requested to end my current hosting plan. I made a backup, once it's gone I'll move all data over to a bigger plan and hopefully all will be fine again.

I've been postponing this for a while, but I need a more permanent setup. I don't trust my current "VPS-experiment" enough to move everything over there (and I'm not confident I can properly manage a server if something would break), so I'll keep those 2 separate for probably quite a while.

Currently, I still generate my main data on my local PC. My plan is to (eventually) migrate all data production to a VPS, and upload it from there to my webhost. This should give me some redundancy, although it would save me time to have everything on one server. But that's maybe for next year. For now: my first priority is to get everything working again.

I just received an email telling me they'll terminate my hosting within 24 hours. Unfortunately it's not instantly so I can't get it back up yet.

Update: My 10 GB shared hosting is replaced by 100 GB. That should be enough to store full Trust data and unedited posts for the coming years. It's still the same webhost with the occasional downtime though.
I'm currently uploading just under 10 GB of data, 950,000 files to go. I expect this to take the rest of the day.
I still have a lot to do to get my VPS working properly, but that's less of a priority now.
