1821  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Security] Be Careful About Downloading Fake Wallet Apps on: September 14, 2020, 08:27:04 PM
I don't know if google do not want it or they just can't, I don't know much about their policy, but the thing is may mga application sa play store na suspicious and malicious. First things first, bakit nakakalampas ito sa google? I really don't know.

From time to time ako nag checheck ng application permission especially pag may bagong download ako na app, I always make sure na above the surface lang sila through my phone or pc. Even the shopee app, kamakailan lang may lumabas na article about shopee na nagcocollect din ng customer data.
1822  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bangko Sental ng Pilipinas on Crypto adoption on: September 13, 2020, 09:58:17 PM
The chances are slim na iadopt ng kahit anong bansa ang bitcoin or any cryptocurrency na existing sa market coz basically they can create their own para mas maregulate nila.

Yeah some take it negative kasi nakita nilang down na naman, pero sa mga taong matagal na industry I'm pretty sure that it is a very positive thing dahil makakapagpasok na naman sila ng additional investment due to low buying price. This happened so many times, ganitong ganito rin ang nangyare last month, price correction then sudden pump ulit.

Well sa ngayon wala pa kong gaanong nakikitang bitcoin adoption na nagaganap, kase kung iisipin mahirap talaga sya i-adopt given its volatility rate is high.
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOINS REALITY SHOW (BRB) on: September 13, 2020, 08:55:01 PM
It has been suggested many times that someone should promote and advertise Bitcoin, and so far no one actually done it, even the whales aren't interested in that. The only ones who are doing something similar to that are companies like exchange or bookmakers, but they promote their own services and Bitcoin simultaneously.
The very question to this suggestion is who are going to fund that show, given that appearances on television is expensive from the maintenance of the staffs, the hosts, etc. It would be a fool move for a whale who has a lot of bitcoin to spend that money just to pump bitcoin in a very uncertain way. Let bitcoin grow on its own, have you seen bitcoin being televised in 2014? or 2015? yet it the growth is massive.

I think the fact that there's really not much Bitcoin advertising going on might suggest that there aren't any huge whales in Bitcoin, or they try to be very secretive and don't attract attention to themselves.
There are huge holder whales, addresses says that it is a fact. I just think that they aren't interested on such publicity.
1825  Other / Meta / Re: Self Moderated thread All Posts Deleted on: September 13, 2020, 07:30:21 PM
Can't do much about self-moderated threads, if the OP find your post/comment substantial then he has the right to delete it.

At the end of the day, as an individual we do have different views and level of understanding, one might find your post a quality but the other does not. And as for suggestion, if you want to reply on a self-moderated thread, make sure that you're going to say a different answer or opinion, that might be the problem with some posters, they don't read the whole thread, they just answer the main question.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 13, 2020, 07:12:42 PM
It is not an excuse to do something against the law because of your passion.

If one kid says that he will run faster to other house than you and will pay you 10$ if you win, or you will pay him 5$ if he wins, does it count as gambling or betting and against the law?
I don't think it will fall on state definition of gambling, as for legalities there are state defined gambling in which includes the animal betting, just like this, it is illegal coz they use an animal. Cockfighting on the other hand have some process to be legal though it uses also an animal. Spider betting is a form of social gambling that is defined illegal by most of the states.

I’m sure these kids done this just as a competition and dont have any intend to earn on betting.
For countries in Asia, this is pretty much natural for them but then we should all follow the laws. Illegal is illegal.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 13, 2020, 06:13:25 PM
The greater the odds the higher stakes you can win however there is least chance of you winning that odd. Is there any safe bets? YES, when odds are low that means that the game might go fair enough or a close game, either of them can win in that case. But still it depends on the composing team, as we know all players have different moods in the game, even Lebron can just score a single digit in a game with 48 minute appearance. I'd say comfort bet is safer.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for blind people on: September 12, 2020, 11:10:05 PM
My take, it's only a matter of time before the Bitcoin bandwagon carries everyone along, including the blind and people with other disabilities.
You know what bitcoin is for everyone. It doesn't matter if you are a kid, an adult, boy or girl, with disability or not as long as you can use technology and you know how to operate a computer, laptop, phone or any other gadgets that you can use when trading here.
I'm not against with it but for kids? and people with disabilities? I think that will take long for them to taste how bitcoin work on our imperfect world. We are not taking them away what's technology that is in front of us, but it is difficult for them to understand what is bitcoin especially for blind people, they cannot work on it alone. As for all the disability, being blind is the most critical one  Sad
1829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which type of trading you think is good? on: September 12, 2020, 11:02:08 PM
Every type of trading is good, it all depends on you and what you want exactly. You have to look into the types of trading there is and then you choose the one you think would work out better for you. If you’re the type of person with so much at hand and you want to be trading all the time, then day trading will be better for you, and you will be collecting profit all the day.
Indeed, trading works for everyone but it should fit on what style you have. For most people, long hold trading just as fine to them, less worry less monitoring less every thing than any trading type. But every one should be wary of this one thing, just trade what you are afford to lose and always know the market situation.

There is also margin trading and position trading.
If you don't like getting smash as quickly as possible, don't get too close with these type of trading coz you are trading with leverage with it which is not ideal for surely making profit, though you can try it but honestly it is not recommendable.
1830  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bet ever in the history of Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2020, 09:59:54 PM
A Bustabit user named “WangTang_V2” just made a MASSIVE 109 BTC bet (~$11,300,000 USD) with a successful cashout at 1.02x. The win paid the user 2.18 BTC (~$22,600 USD). It's the largest bet ever placed on the popular Bitcoin gambling site.

Game Result: https://www.bustabit.com/game/3677040

I don't see the point of reviving an almost 5-years old dead thread just to post this. you could have just posted this on their ANN thread and leaving this 5 years old dead thread alone.
Yeah I think of this too, it was made in 2015, a 5 year old thread enough to make a new one for this topic. Anyways, I've seen a lot of big bets in the history, I'm actually jealous on how these people are just gambling what I owned or even beyond of what I owned lol. So yeah this is the biggest that I've seen, the previous that I know was only 90 btc.

May I know what game did he play?
1831  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: September 12, 2020, 09:34:51 PM
I don't know if real estate is declining here yet but I do think it'll come at some point and it's probably overdue in some places.

I was looking at house prices in certain parts of the UK and they've at least tripled in a lot of places in the past 20 years... Which seems quite a dramatic rise.

You're not wrong. I have come across similar stats where the house prices across the whole of UK have gone up at least 3x since the beginning of the pandemic! This is crazy considering the recession we're in. Still, by the end of the year if the house prices haven't started to come down it will surely follow in Q1 of next year.
Woah woah 3x since the pandemic? that's 200% up in several months! that's crazy thinking that the world is on fire right now, they should have not gone that high. The worst thing to happen with middle class people right now is that they cannot afford housing anymore with these prices going that high, we all need money that's a fact but it is disgusting doing that. Business is business huh?

The housing market can't be going up while everything else is suffering. My reason for thinking this is that mortgage providers have already started becoming more strict about mortgage approval. I suppose for now just like with the crypto and stock market, real estate is all about waiting for a while.
They can be strict, I can agree on that but 200%? I cannot believe it. They are giving no choice to people.
1832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Ways to Hack Bitcoin on: September 12, 2020, 08:59:58 PM
Bitcoin Clipper Malware: changes the bitcoin address of the recipient from the original.
And that's isn't hacking bitcoin, you are just putting malware into someone's computer to generate your own address whenever they copy/paste.
What a possible way to crack bitcoin is having a quantum computer that computes bitcoin certain key in less than a minute, that's breaking the cryptography security and the end of whole cryptocurrency. There are some cases where this has been reported, probably acquired from unknown download sources.
1833  Other / Archival / Re: What will happen to bitcoin on a world war? on: September 12, 2020, 07:44:40 PM
I strongly believe that the world war 3 has already begun few years back and it happens in the air without even firing any single nuclear or missile. What I'm talking about is the cyber war that is happening for ages. Talking about bitcoin during these era, we don't actually know how are they using bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies that promotes anonymity but one thing's for sure bitcoin will be used abundantly during warfare era.
1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What new DeFi token do you know? on: September 12, 2020, 06:43:24 PM
I don't really into investing to such this kind of projects, I know how shitty they are but seeing people getting profit from it from buying in presale and short selling it all out makes the difference to me now. DeFi project listings is just a product of developing scams through years, don't get the wrong idea I said this because this all looks like we are going to experience again the scam ICOs back in the day. Anyways there are quality DeFi projects circling around that needs to be looked forward.
1835  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to expect in soccer this season on: September 12, 2020, 06:10:54 PM
Indeed the pandemic ruined every thing especially activities that needs to be done physically, and this is why I don't really support opening the Olympics coz that's a huge sporting event compare to just the FIFA and the NBA. I'm sure they are taking care of what is need to be taken care of especially the health of their players. Team sports such as basketball and football/soccer needs some extra cautions. Nothing to expect more I guess.
1836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to Bitcoin in the long term? on: September 11, 2020, 10:00:57 PM
When all the 21 million BTC have been mined, as set by Satoshi Nakamoto, there will no longer be rewards from mining. But the price of BTC and by extension transaction fees will be so high that miners will live just on the fees.
If the transaction fees ends up being "so high" than normal bitcoin users won't be using bitcoin anymore due to the "high fee" they will have to pay.  I mean, if someone wants to transfer 10 USD worth of coins and they have to pay 50 USD in fee, no one will be crazy enough to use bitcoin.
We are surely be facing that such transaction fee one day, if bitcoin gets bigger than what it is now expect a fire on transaction fee that we are going to pay to make a transaction slide into the network. And if that happens only rush transaction will be made in the bitcoin blockchain, only rich people will use bitcoin to transfer money and that's only if they are going to spend less than having it done with fiat or physical transaction.

If bitcoin users goes down, the miners won't be able to "live just on the fees". We will (or our next generation) know  what is going to happen after 100 years. Probably we will find out alternatives or other solution or better technology might be invented that will keep mining profitable with receiving normal fees without block rewards.
We actually don't know what will happen to bitcoin after 5 or 10 years, I hate to conclude myself, don't want to anticipate for less disappointment let us cherish what we can make out with bitcoin, investment or currency.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is good strategy or technique for Toss Coin? on: September 11, 2020, 09:42:52 PM
Playing Toss Coin doesn't require a strategy in my opinion, because this game is very easy and simple.
Well I agree, luck based games seems to have a vague strategy to follow especially when you only got 2 to choose from results. But what I usually do on toss coin is that I stick to a single option only, if I play heads on the first run I'll play heads til I get bored and jump out of the game.

Toss Coin, which plays an important role is luck. Because like a game with a 50-50 win chance, there are only two possibilities that
happened. So even using the Martingale strategy will not be effective, we will lose all our capital if not careful.
Hmm martingale works every time that's all I can say, even in this toss coin. You can take this game seriously by studying the probability of the past results but I'm telling you it is bothering to acctually choose between 2 choices only.
1838  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: September 11, 2020, 08:54:22 PM
I am not aware of the circumstances from where you're speaking but as far as my local situation is concerned, real estate is still one of the most trusted and certainly profitable investments. The increase in the prices of real estate properties is consistently rising, that is, despite the foreign exchange fluctuations. So I don't think there is a significant correlation at all between the two.
I see that the only similar thing that we can found on both real estate and bitcoin is securing the value or store of value where as you are keeping a tangible asset and on bitcoin you are keeping it on the run of volatile prices. But If I would choose between these two, I'd confidently say real estate coz it is ageless and as we know we don't really know how long will bitcoin be in the market for years, just believe right?

I'd rather have both.
We can have these both if we want to, it is a great investment for both actually.
1839  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Security] Be Careful About Downloading Fake Wallet Apps on: September 11, 2020, 06:07:45 PM

Stay safe kabayans.
THIS MUST BE DONE EVERY TIME! makikita naman sa settings kung permitted ang certain application sa pagkuha ng data from your phone, pwede naman sya i-off or i-on pero kung hindi gagana ang app kung naka off better to uninstall that app na lang siguro.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millennial Generation Investors Prefer Bitcoin Over Gold on: September 11, 2020, 05:23:12 PM
No wonder why Millennials choose bitcoin over gold because bitcoin is more acccesible to have rather than gold, I don't own any gold but I think it needs some documents when you want to have it except having it as jewelries. And of course, as time goes by with the help of internet younger generation is impatient unlike the preceding generation which we know that bitcoin could make an easy money if the time is right for it to fluctuate upwards.
