..... Moolah wouldn't have been able to justify holding on to the escrow funds if these devs had delivered on what was promised pre-launch. At the very least, Moolah would've been exposed sooner.

Not likely, AG would have found some other reason to hold back the escrow. he never planned on giving it back.
You can't blame the devs for being suckered like many others. He raided moopay, mintpal, syscoin and god knows what other "charities"
for over a million usd.

This guy was good, read how the Mintpal guys were taken in.
http://www.mintpaljustice.com/

We can hope two things....the civil action gets some funds back and a criminal action gets him jailed. Hopefully
for a long time.

I don't know - remember things as they were, it would've been a lot harder for Moolah to justify witholdhing the funds. SYS devs would've had all the support in the world and Moolah would've had to relent or be exposed way back then as a scam. I dont see the enthusiastic SYS following there was at the time (when people had 100% confidence in SYS pre-launch) putting up with any third-party delay that would've risked/delayed further development. I just don't see that scenario.

As it was, SYS devs were forced to suggest, propose and support the milestone-based release schedule to shore up confidence that was sinking through the floor at the time of that botched launch.

No botched launch and Moolah wouldn't have had a leg to stand on with the general public - they would've been forced to released or be exposed a lot sooner for what they were.

Perhaps, if you can get some cohesive support together, may I suggest a community takeover.

Please leave this thread & stop with your pathetic attempt at fud. Just move on already!!

I really love your optimism regarding the coming Bitcoin bull run!!!! Smiley

You and I seem to be running in the same [crypto] circles.

Most don't understand the grand significance of the Bitcoin ETF, especially COIN.  I was the only one last year shouting to everyone that the ETF was coming and it was guaranteed.  Back then all the pros were literally laughing and saying it was not possible.

I was called insane many times for these ideas and theories.

There are $8 trillion in the US alone just in 401k and IRA retirement accounts.  $20 trillion in the US in total assets under management.  The ETF will finally allow them to legally buy Bitcoin.  How many of those money managers do you think will NOT invest in the hottest "tech" since the internet?

How many do you think will risk looking foolish by missing the biggest opportunity of their careers?  I would say at least 8 out of 10 fund managers will buy some Bitcoin.  Imagine just 1% of $8 trillion going into Bitcoin, most of it next year.

That's $80 billion.  Then what about the other $12 trillion?  Just in the US alone - so what about the rest of the planet that also want Bitcoin.

And what about individuals who want to buy some bits [cause full Bitcoins will not be within reach anymore].

What about the $2 trillion in mattress money across Europe and an equal amount in the US?

And finally, countries looking for a safe alternative to traditional currencies will finally buy Bitcoin and some will use it as a reserve given the ETF signals the full backing and support of the US government [via the SEC license].

People [even now] fail to understand the MASSIVE magnitude of what's about to happen.

This is why I've been saying since last year that $10,000 will look like a cheap price after the ETF goes green.  The mother of all bubbles is about to go into full-effect so don't be foolish and sell early, like many did last year.

And of course, speculation and a crowding out effect will spill over into alt-coins which will create a massive secondary bubble and wealth effect which [on a % basis] will return much larger profits than Bitcoin.

Buy as much as you can now and do NOT sell early!

God i so hope youre right.Smiley Its hard not to be pessimistic in this scene, especially after the last year weve had. Iv all but stopped raving to my friends and telling them to buy as its gonna be big. But i still believe!! Smiley
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: November 08, 2014, 11:09:36 AM
It is seemingly nice and all that the Syscoin devs have supposedly filed their papers (although I haven't found proof of that anywhere in the court record).  Doesn't anyone remember the scandal that happened when Moolah co-sponsored the launch and then held the 250 BTC escrow for Sysoin's outrageously shady ICO and then failed coin launch?  Curious how those coins aren't missing, don't you think?

There is definitely a rat there.  Don't trust the Syscoin devs to be of any help to anyone other than to help Alex/Ryan get away with our coins and cause great damage to the cryptocurrency scene.

piss off ryan

The odds of getting delisted from all exchanges is nearly zero.  Cryptsy's policy is that they will not delist any coin as long as the blockchain is running smoothly.  There are coins on Cryptsy which have had zero volume for months and with no active development yet they have not been delisted.

That said, to start your own real exchange and have it be professional, fast and secure would probably cost ~$100,000.  That's a ridiculous and unnecessary cost at this point.

Use the limited funds for necessary things and let's put off anything which can wait simply because Bitcoin will be worth much more in the coming months.  Let's not waste those 400 Bitcoins at $350 when they're likely to be worth 10+ times that in a few short months.

Imagine having well over $1 million as a development fund.  That's enough to turn CraigsCoin into a top grade alt-coin.
I really love your optimism regarding the coming Bitcoin bull run!!!! Smiley

And what about all the presale goods? Were people scammed on these too? Did anyone actually receive their cap and card?
I think most have been received even if their is a vocal minority of people(Trolls) asking for their hats on twitter!!!

Need to start hitting on China , get the site all translated, Chinese social media etc...  They love 2.0 Coins like NXT!!! Get on BTER!!! Sys already on BTC38 so half the battle with exchanges done, Bter will add if vol at BTC38 grows, now insignificant vol there!
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 07, 2014, 11:24:13 AM
Is there a way to see the whole order book, not just the top offers? I would like to see how many BTC there i to the ICO price.
Dunno but when Sys was around 400 about a month ago, i think there were only 10-20 BTCS to 500. Certainly not a crazy amount. obviously now much more lol, but nothing hard work perseverance and moving along the timeline with development cant fix.
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 07, 2014, 10:44:01 AM
Any plans to stop Bittrex from delisting Sys? The volume is almost non-existent.

What the fuck are you on about?? FUD/Troll attempt???  Bittrex delists coins with under 0.2 BTCS vol every day for over a week. Sys has 1-3 BTCs vol most days!!
sys need exchange to bring the holders, even the dropping price.
but we believe in the dev team after the scamming.

I think there is noone here that blames developers for the current situation.
They did a great coin but it had terrible PR.
Some people imply that Sys is beyond saving but if we change something we can reverse the price drop.
Scamming has nothing to do with it - the price was going down already before Moolah scammed us. Don't you see that winning this legal action (which might take YEARS) won't change anything?
actually before the Moolah shit blew up Sys had gone from 200 to 400 sats and was sitting stably around 400.
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 07, 2014, 10:39:56 AM
I hate it when people in crypto pretend that everything is all right when it is not. "So why won't you sell?", they ask. The thing is that there is noone here to buy it from me. People are literally no longer interested in this coin. We are a bunch of bagholders and it will remain so until something is done. New features? Who cares about them if they are just a curiosiy that won't ever go mainstream. There are so many coins desperately trying to return. Is there any plan to save ICO investors money? Some updates that don't even make it to the crypto mainstream are not a plan. Paying for a professional PR (which this coin lacked from the beginning), building buy walls, cooperating with pumpers, diversifying exhcanges (we will be delisted from Bittrex soon) is a plan. And chasing Alex Green? Doesn't make sense. Guy is probably gone. Even Mark Karpeles is gone and there was much more evidence against him. Why waste your money for lawyers that won't change anything? Use it to boos the coin, build some buy walls at 50 satoshi levels etc. Whenever someone comes here and asks about some real action he is tagged as fudder and dismissed. For many month we've been doing it that way - maybe it's time to try something different?

So you are saying SYS should not chase Ryan Kennedy and instead should cooperate with pumpers. Think you got into the wrong coin here!! SYS are trying to build a seriously innovative coin here that could easilly go mainstream. SYS is and never was a Pump and Dump. If you cant handle market forces and bumps in the road without being a crybaby, crypto probably isnt for you, id sell up and move on, if you are worried about not finding buyers, ill buy your coins off you @ a reasonable price.

If we can get a new company or old to start taking alts for $$$ then we can start to break this cycle of pumps and dumps. Vault of Satoshi is only one I know of that does this, but they only serve Canada right now, we need to reach more nations.

Unfortunately they are not adding new coins to their platform right now. Not sure why.

Sys is out of luck in that regard Sad

How did trying to get added to Bittylicious(UK company) go??, that wld help
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 06, 2014, 02:03:09 PM
I think the price is falling because the developement is paused atm... I personally cant wait for UI implemented features. I think we cant get rid of trolls and scams, we can only fight them and avoid them...

Sorry, but don't blame it on the developers. They were pretty active even before Ryan Kennedy run with Syscoin's money and the price was falling back then too despite all the innovations. So no dev's fault, just market's fault - it's unpredictable which coin's will get popularity and which won't.

I dont blame developers at all... It is understandable that legal fight against the thief is priority atm. *When they win, that would be crucial not just for SYS, but for the all crypto scene.

Amended for you Pmalek.

Thats the spirit Smiley

Blocknet seems like a new big thing now. We shouldn't have missed that opportunity. Anyway, I am holding till this ship sinks (or stabilises at new bottom).

New BIG Scam more like

Just the fact that we got two Perma-Trolls, 1 dedicated solely to CARBON, is a very strong buy signal!!!!! BUY BUY BUY BUY

You have to be a fucking psycho if you really believe this.
You would say that, you're the troll!!!! Smiley

devs hold such premine + ICO , investors are in huge loss and still they have nerves to ask money from people..... nice Smiley

Where do all these trolls come from???
from great deep loss of time/money here...this coin is a black hole

Rome wasnt built in a day. Sys have had to deal with a lot of shit, far more than most. The team stands strong and fights for the whole community. The Tech is solid and the coin will prosper. Just need a lill patience here!!! Smiley

1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 04, 2014, 04:30:37 PM
What some people are missing is that Alex Green / Moolah issue is not the reason of Syscoin's collapse. Even before the whole Mintpal scandal the coin's price was way below ICO price. So even if we manage to go throught the court issues we will be back to square one (which means being way below ICO price with bagholders preventing the price from going anywhere beyond 300-'s). I am also one of the bagholders (paid over 300 satoshi for my coins) and I understand that starting from scratch would make me lose some money but still this can be regained with the new coin. If we don't start a new coin instead of Sys then we won't ever attract new investors. Just ask your selves: how eager would you be to invest in a coin that has flawed reputation? Even if the coin is now better than it used to be, you wouldn't probably invest a dollar in it. And this is the main problem os Sycoin now - people automatically skip it while thinkin about their next pick, because for them it is just "this coin that failed at the beginning price wise and has been tanking since August now". Sorry for the harsh words but we have to understand that we - the bagholders - are probably the only ones who are still optimistic about the coin. Devs have proven to be solid and shouldn't waste their talents on this coin. By starting a new coin they will finally make their dream come true and you, the investors, will be happy too.

I dont get this new coin thing. A new ICO is senseless, and if you dont want to screw the current investors you will have the excat same distribution and the same bagholders. Just a new name, Alex Green - Ryan Kennedy anyone?

I am not a bagholder. I bought low and sold high all the time. And I am still slightly optimistic. Slightly because the altmarkets are terrible right now.

I dont want to sound harsh, but the new coin discussion looks stupid to me and will actually hurt this coin.

Obviously it can't be 1:1. For example for every 200 satoshi of Sys you would get 70 satoshi of the new sys. It's still better than losing it all. It's just impossible to sell the ICO coins now because there are basically no buyers. From time to time some person that is feeling lucky emerges and throws a buy wall and then the price goes below the buy wall anyway. Giving some of the money away is the only thing that could fix the situation. I also paid more than 300 satoshi for Sys and would be losing on this but it's still better than current situation. And I don't mean Moolah because there were the same problems even before Moolah.

I see really no sense in making a new coin. It changes nothing, they were different reasons for the unlucky start, so if all would have worked well in the beginning, the sys team would have now the full development funds (there were an attack to the network, problems with the wallet, a lot of FUD and so on), luckily they got the sys-coins from moolah (from the buy-wall they set up in the beginning), so even if they don't get back the full funds, they have a lot of syscoins, they already delivered a big amount of fresh code, most features are working and i personally have high expectations for the Sys developers.
Lol hope i'm right, but i think its a good time to buy, its only a personal evaluation so DYOR Smiley

..and it was my first IPO i bought in and yes i bought therefore my initial syscoins at ~500 Satoshis  Cheesy

I know that and you know that. But the coin will grow only if it can attract new people. And those people won't invest in Sys because there are hundreds of other coins and everyday there is a new launch. People just skip this coin. You can either lose some money now on the new ICO or lose everything when Syscoin gets delisted. Mark my words.

Just stop it already if you think Sys is gonna get delisted fuck off and give up yr coins. THERE IS NO NEW COIN GET IT?Huh
