[ANN] Syscoin- FINAL 2.0 LAUNCHED! *ENCRYPTION, MARKETPLACE, BTC INTEGRATION*

I have not much of an idea how slack works, their "tour" is not very informative. Puzzles me a bit that a community that is histerical about anonymity moves their discussion about drug prefernces over there. Besides, I dont want to discuss all that stuff, maybe I am to old for that (drug days are a long time ago ), I dont even have a facebook account. It may be great for others, not so much for me, probably.

I read on reddit regularly, but for some reason I just dont like it, though the quality of the discussions is way better over there.

A seperate new forum is not a good idea. Other coins have done this and those forums are looking pretty dead, at least those I am aware of. Dead is even worse than fud.

I would keep this thread going and just live with all the craziness. It is still a decent channel to introduce people to the coin. Most of the time you can just ignore the clowns here. You can still add slack if it is that great.

Reddit does have quite a bit of customization that would make it more useful for new people.

Look at the dogecoin subreddit for example. http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin

You may disagree with their aesthetic, but we could make a lot available in one place. Latest hot topic (blog post link?) at the top. Other useful pins on the right. Tabs for wallet, links to github source, etc. Integrated tip bot! Even just having the moderator list on the sidebar as a quick reference (list of developers) is useful.

As the support for Syscoin grows, and with more PR coming out of the legal proceedings, we need to be able to develop a community. It doesn't need to be as crazy as dogecoin's, but just a way for us to show projects we are working on, new businesses that will leverage syscoin services, etc without it getting buried pages back in a single thread.

Bitcointalk is NOT a place to build a community. If not reddit, somewhere else, but absolutely not here.

I know the case against Moopay is taking up a lot of your energy but may I suggest something?

Put some of your energy to the development of Syscoin... It 'feels' like everything is on 'hold' while that issue gets sorted out... it should 'feel' like things are moving forward regardless of the outcome...

Price is down ( so what?, I know ) and volume is diminishing on trade... I assume people who have coins are sitting on them and others are dumping...

I personally am merge mining SYS and I feel like there is a great future ahead BUT you guys have to show that you are like Weebles: You wobble but won't fall down...

So make a separate thread for all the legal mumbo jumbo and lets get back to SYSCOIN development itself...

In your finite wisdom you might shed a few programming hours for all this integration.

Then again maybe the OhMiBod hardware might be more to your liking for use with "Ultraprivate Smartphones", this would make more sense than "Smart Wind" or translated "intelligent forces of nature".

Have to agree. BTC talk is being abandoned by few coins like XC and vericoin, so is the rumor. Unless full time moderation, it's kinda pointless. I for one don't like the format of reddit, but it is clearly a better format for user moderation, upvoting and downvoting. To me it seems a little messy, and all over the place, but then again, guess BTC talk can be the same.

I guess not sure if it's time to close BTC talk, but maybe UPDATE only here? Put posts on blog and reddit for important issues and copy over here? IDK, it's hard decision.

But I'll say for sure reddit might be a great place to move over for better moderation by community. Beside, Dogecoin was born on reddit. Clearly it's the better choice.

There are no shortages of trolls on reddit either, likely the trolls here have accounts and burner accounts already on reddit, trolls are an unfortunate byproduct of the web.  Keeping the thread here and addition of a subreddit to increase SYS exposure is a much better solution.

I agree but I think the advantage of reddit (or even a forum) is that we can have more members of the community fighting the trolls instead of it being just the SYS development team vs this army of trolls that seems to come thru in waves.

I'd love to make our reddit more lively and engaging and while I agree that BCT should be kept updated if we can make reddit the "hub" of conversations I think that BCT updates and troll battles become a much lower priority.

If you're a community member who is good with Reddit, or just want to help us out acting as a moderator on someplace like Reddit please PM me. This kind of stuff is critical and we're happy to extend SYS equity to anyone looking to help out. The more we can get non-coders helping us out with general community management and discussion the better.

Another aspect to consider is keeping the thread here is also a reminder to those that have it in for SYS to sell it short and destroy the value of the coin.  The lower the price falls the more ability they have in dealing it damage as it costs less for them to do this.  Kind of funny that they say that wealth cannot be generated from nothing, but when an IPO is introduced they call you a scammer for it.

Sorry, but don't blame it on the developers. They were pretty active even before Ryan Kennedy run with Syscoin's money and the price was falling back then too despite all the innovations. So no dev's fault, just market's fault - it's unpredictable which coin's will get popularity and which won't.

I'm really not good at waiting, but that is what is required for this coin right now. It's good to see that RC3 is coming out this weekend-we can look to download that then.  Hopefully I can get some more BTC to buy SYS before the news starts floating around...
