1821  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: About BTC on metamask wallet on: October 13, 2022, 09:45:08 AM
Rbtc works on metamask I believe, also Wrapped BTC, if metamask is what you have to use for BTC these is the way, but I don't see anything wrong with using Atomic wallet or Trust wallet, this days crypto wallets must support multi crypto projects even those hardware wallets.
1822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: October 13, 2022, 08:16:00 AM
I think the best time to invest on gambling tokens is when bear market is almost over like when BTC halving is around the corner but for now its very dangerous, it looks like we can see another -25% in BTC price soon and it will affect other coins more, gambling tokens and football tokens are so unsafe in this existing Roll Eyes market.
1823  Other / Archival / Re: Another Reminder for New Investors on: October 13, 2022, 07:13:55 AM
This is another reminder that bitcoin is the best crypto asset as a long-term investment, and better than it, in the world of cryptocurrencies, has not yet been invented. eight)

This statistic once again confirms this and the fact that 99% of altcoins in the long run = SCAM.

In 2022, more than 12,000 altcoins have moved into the zombie category. Trading on them has stopped completely, no one needs them, now it's just a mountain of garbage that will forever remain in the wallets of investors. With each new cycle, this figure will only increase.

I understand that altcoins can be used for speculation, to increase a small deposit, etc, but keeping them in the long term is extremely risky. I don't understand those beginners who form their portfolios that consist ONLY of altcoins and NFTs? What do you expect when your diversification is zero and does not contain a single deflationary asset, which is Bitcoin. Bitcoin is volatile, but it is always rising and always in price.

Never ignore bitcoin, it is good for any purpose, as a means of payment, as a storage value, as an investment, as a way to diversify. But do the shitcoins you fill your portfolios have such properties?

Sir Ratimov, I posted something like this in another thread but the replies I got are not encouraging, people start saying otherwise like its a stupid plan or something, the post was about how better it is to hold BTC than altcoins even if you bought at ATH, please check it out because it seems you are the only one that sees things the same way I did.

1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Wallet for Storing Altcoins? on: October 13, 2022, 06:46:19 AM
I am still using an old nano ledger s.  I use it mainly to store btc and bch.  There isn't that much space on it due to the limited space.

If I want to start trading altcoins but particularly those meme coins and weird coins that come out, what wallet would you need for that?  Do most people here have a 2nd hardware wallet strictly for this?  Then again lot of these altcoins aren't supported by the nano ledger s plus or the x right?  I heard about metamask.  That is an online wallet.  So if you connect the metamask to the nano ledger s plus, than that would work?

Also when you find out about new coins, what exchange do you go to to find these coins?  Is it almost always something like uniswap or pancakeswap and not a major exchange?

Also for you daily traders, are you keeping the coins in that exchange or metamask or your hardware wallet once you are done trading for the day?  I can't imagine you sending your eth wallet to your hardware wallet all the time because fees are expensive right?  And keeping it in exchanges is not safe?  The same as with on metamask?

Also heard trustwallet spoke about as well.  But the safest way is to get a metamask account and link it to a hardware wallet right?  But you shouldn't do it with your main hardware wallet that you use mainly for storage?  But do so with a trading hardware wallet?  Because if you connect to a malicious contract... that is the term i always hear about, well as long as you don't confirm it... you are fine?  But if you do, are all your coins in that 2nd hardware wallet at risk?  So there would be no risk to your main nano ledger s  if you use the s and s plus with ledger live?

Anyone who trade altcoins can explain this?
I use the tangem wallet to store my 0xMonero. Every month they launch support for an additional blockchain.
Which wallet is tandem? I've never heard about it before, why not use something more popular like Coinomi wallet or Math wallet? There are old grand masters like Monerujo and Mymonero wallet too, be careful with new wallet because some of them are scam and others have crap security.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: October 13, 2022, 06:32:47 AM
That's Elon's plan all along, this will surely happen if Elon ends up with Twitter and again this will give other Doge shit coins more reason to pump and also more Doge name projects will show up, I hope this move doesn't back fire on Elon as time goes on.
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum POW - ETHW on: October 12, 2022, 05:43:25 PM
I will not be buying ETHW, it is possible that the coin will pump in future but that will depends on how Ethereum will perform in future, now this will play out like ETC and BTC forks but as time goes on ETHW can die a painful death, if you must invest make sure you invest only what you can afford to lose.
1827  Economy / Exchanges / Why are crypto exchanges not truthful? on: October 12, 2022, 05:13:31 PM
Some crypto exchanges are so annoying, they lied to new users just to make them sign up on their websites, what is there gains luring people with this trick that ruins their trust?

I signed up on Bybit through an ad that says free 1500$ for first depositors and after clicking I was forced to make first deposit and I later find out that the free 1500$ is for futures trading and you still need to trade futures with your money,  why can't the ad says free 1500$ for futures trading? It's same with Bitgert... The most annoying one is Crypto.com

Crypto dot com promised 25$ on new users signing up through a popular Youtuber and after KYC verification they revealed that you have to buy some CRO in thousands before you can claim the free 25$, these people are just liars.
1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: October 12, 2022, 05:06:58 PM
Deposit bonuses always come from new projects and that's why they are risky, if the project is not popular already and they are giving people bonuses for first deposits I think you should be very careful, also even if the bonuses are legit it won't be straight forward like you think, you will end up forced to do other tasks before you can withdraw.
1829  Other / Archival / Re: Another Reminder for New Investors on: October 12, 2022, 03:25:24 PM
The majority of those altcoins are scams but many survived in the last bear market and bring good Returns for investors, PYR was one of them, the thing is altcoins lover need to take their research skills very seriously, we all know that BTC holds the best reliable value but altcoins have the better ROI rate too. Thanks for the effort OP.
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Metaverse is the future on: October 12, 2022, 12:54:10 PM
New trends are coming and you need to learn and adapt to them fast, I believe metaverse have a very good future ahead of us, be careful when choosing your next metaverse projects and make sure the teams are not here to toy with investors and end up not delivering anything.

Founders and Developers of the projects must be talented no matter how much money they have or how much ambitions they got.

They gotta have the talent to pull it off and also they gotta have the financial resources to make it happen.

I am not here to tell you when to buy or which projects to buy, I am only saying you should make sure metaverse projects are part of your next crypto portfolio.
1831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for October on: October 11, 2022, 06:09:50 PM
Downtrend is still possible in this market, Fed can still ruin everything but it's definitely a good time to start buying, I am ready to see my bag losing 50% of its value in this bear market so I don't care since I am holding for the long term, but not buying now is like missing opportunities that may not last for long, since no one can tell its better to start buying.
1832  Other / Off-topic / Asking on behalf of a friend on: October 11, 2022, 05:42:57 PM
My friend have two android phones and he plan to reformat one and use the phone for storing coins only, no browsing or running any email account on the phone, the phone has latest android version and it has fingerprint and face recognition locks, I don't know if this is still a fair plan or makes no difference.
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest Heavily ALT now on: October 11, 2022, 05:00:18 PM
AI projects are the worst of them all, they never survived since many years ago because no one needs any AI use cases, its a dream that never come to past, instead focus of MetaVerse and Play to earn games, also I think its wrong to stay till 2024 before buying alts, you are simply betting on the fact that BTC may go lower, you will be shocked how fast BTC can recover.
1834  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is the performance of gambling tokens compare to other altcoins and btc on: October 11, 2022, 04:17:46 PM
The performance of altcoins are better than gambling coins because they have better use cases and that's why the result from investing money on gambling tokens and coins can't be compare to other altcoins, for me there is no reason to buy a gambling token unless the developer introduces a better use case.
1835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only lose nothing if you hold BTC on: October 11, 2022, 02:10:04 PM
u only lose nothing if u invest what u can afford to lose.

i'd say this instead, simple, honest, truth.
Good luck with that, I only said what I said because Bitcoin is a better store of value than every other crypto projects in crypto space right now, even if BTC loses value it won't be the same on the long run, this is for the long term holders, even if you invest only what you can afford to lose its still money, how about you lose nothing if you invest nothing? .lol
1836  Other / Beginners & Help / You only lose nothing if you hold BTC on: October 09, 2022, 12:54:11 PM
To all my fellow newbies out there, you must have come across some advice saying that you lose nothing if you hold your coins, that's not 100% true, you only lose nothing if you buy Bitcoin, some people bought BTC at 19000$ in 2017 ATH and they held, BTC later hit 60,000+ but that's because its BTC, do not try this with Altcoins, many Altcoins will die and many won't ever reach their ATH again.
1837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Bearish market the right time to buy coins? on: October 09, 2022, 08:49:13 AM
It's not the best time to go all in because there may still be some downside coming but its a good time to start buying using Dollar Cost Average strategy, always make sure you leave behind some USDT so when the market sees a new dip you will be able to take the advantage.
1838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How hard to detect scams nowadays? on: October 09, 2022, 08:27:50 AM
Once again, don't invest in any cryptocurrency except Bitcoin

I think this advice is better, that's will make everyone understand which coins we need to avoid and which coin we need to invest. Although new projects has a high risk, but we can't deny if old project has a high risk too. We're just waiting for the old shitcoins project lose of their holders and the developer will abandon their old project to create fresh newly project that related with the current hype e.g. P2E, DEFI, Metaverse.
What about Ethereum? Can new ideas be built on Bitcoin? Don't get me wrong I also love Bitcoin but you saying that one should buy BTC only sucks, we are all here for the gains even if we love the tech behind blockchain, I made most of my ROI from alts not Bitcoin, your point is best for newbies who are just starting out with crypto.
1839  Economy / Gambling / Re: Odds like 1xbet on: October 09, 2022, 07:43:29 AM
1xbet is a scam I believe that's why they made their Odds look so attractive to people like OP, you like it because its always in users favour that's what scam is all about, look for a better gambling platform and get used to their odds, when things looks too good to be true its red flag.
1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Blockchain Bridge is Useless? on: October 08, 2022, 05:59:23 PM
The most common hacks in crypto space since last year is on bridge platforms, it seems developers haven't really come up with an effective solution about bridge security, I try to stay away from any bridge/defi projects for now and I advise everyone to do the same, bridge projects are not safe.
