1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: May 03, 2023, 11:19:09 PM
~snip~
When you say that Joe Biden is too old, you are ignoring the fact that Donald Trump is not much young either. There is only a 4-year difference between Biden and Trump (Biden is the elder one out of these two). But I could agree with the argument that Trump is much more healthier than Biden. The latter apparently suffers from dementia, which is likely to get worse as his age progresses. He will be 86 years old by the end of his second term (in case he manages to win the 2024 POTUS elections). I would not prefer either of these two. IMO, the American voters need someone with fresh ideas.

Also you have to add the fact that neither of them has ever drank alcohol.

That means that they will probably have a larger lifespan than the average American.

In any case, Biden does look a lot older than Trump. I wouldn't have guessed they only have four years in difference between them to be honest.

I am not sure whether Biden is more aggressive than Trump. But one thing is for sure. Trump followed a non-interventionist policy and he wanted to fix problems back home before taking care of those outside the United States. And that is the reason why he decided to pull back from Afghanistan and Iraq. However, for some unknown reason Biden changed that policy. He has spent hundreds of billions in foreign military intervention (a large part going to Ukraine) ever since he became the POTUS. But being aggressive doesn't mean more successful. After spending so much in supporting Ukraine, Russia still controls more than 20% of the territory. So which approach was the right one?

The president in the end is way more than one person.

There are thousands of people with power and money that have interests in either of the candidates, so in a way the policies are really to appeal the powerful people, not really the whole nation.

That's the job of the president, sell the idea that they are doing all these things for every citizen, when in reality they are doing the things for the rich and powerful interests.

Can't really blame some gamblers if they use AI for their own good because I know they started trusting to use it because they've got a better outcome compared when they were the ones doing it. But for other gamblers, like us, who seeks entertainment and views every win as an added bonus will surely not ask the AI for some help because in that way, it's not that entertaining anymore as we already put our fate into the hands of AI instead of deciding the likelihood of the outcome ourselves.

I think a sufficiently smart AI might be able to create a pattern of betting for you that is enjoyable in a way, independent of the money making which will always have a negative expected return.

These AIs are already changing everything around us, and gambling will probably be one of the first ones in using these tools.

2030 is being chased by Saudi Arabia, one of the main reasons why they got Ronaldo as well, they want Ronaldo to basically talk about how it would be great to host it. When you consider how much money nations can make from world cup, billions and billions of dollars, if paying Ronaldo 200-300 million to get it, then it would be totally worth it. They are in fact considering about a lot more people, Messi, Mourinho and all that which would be a great deal and definitely could be considered a great idea.

I understand that it will not be cheap and they may lose, but they are going to end up trying at least. Would it be too bad? I am not so sure, but I bet 100% that there are better nations suited for something like that without a doubt. I miss England hosting it, that would be lovely to see again.

Interesting.

I'm not sure it was the best to have the world cup in Qatar, but in the end it was actually quite entertaining overall. Bu the host team didn't manage to even perform at a minimum level, they should not have qualified.

But Saudi Arabia won against the current champions, Argentina. That might give them a boost in the selection process.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: May 01, 2023, 11:47:56 PM
I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.

Still, I refuse this because I believe they are wrong, Bitcoin market has charts and I am playing with charts even if I am a full-time Bitcoin trader, all I need to do is read charts, and if I am good at it I will win vs gambling, where it's you vs a company which we can never tell if their games are completely fair or not.

Furthermore, I told them that Bitcoin investors tend to get positive results, while online casino gamblers tend to get negative results more than positive result, true or false?

I asked them to show me prove that they make more from gambling than they lose, none of them showed me, but I prove to them that I hardly have losses investing in Bitcoin lol .

Famz, drop your opinion on this, would you categorize these two as gambling? Because the only winning factor from Bitcoin investment is to just buy low and wait for a high price, it's not the same with casinos. Am I not making sense? I will like to hear from you.

Investing is different to gambling.

Just think about investors and gamblers. You will see that people who invest are looking to the long term, while gamblers look at the short term.

You will also see that many investors end up wealthier than before investing, whereas most gamblers end up with less money than when they started gambling.

That is partially why gambling is so restricted in many countries, but investing is encouraged by governments (retirement saving accounts for example, etc).

Bitcoin allows you to invest by simply saving in money. This is different to fiat, because fiat value is eroded by inflation so you have to exchange fiat for something else, like Bitcoin, or real estate, etc, so that the value doesn't go down over time.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: May 01, 2023, 11:42:42 PM
It's been awhile I try daily to make profit

Stake casino mostly mines

But it take back profit.. I have 2k balance.. is there method

To get 100 $ per day

It's all about creating value.

To get $100 per day you could start creating things that people might be interested in buying.

For example, posters, ebooks, courses, apps, etc. Eventually, if you make good ones, people will pay for those, and you might end up with more than $100 per day.

If you are simply putting money in a casino you are not creating value. The casinos created something of value for you (the entertainment or the idea you will get rich), and you pay for it, not the other way around.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: May 01, 2023, 11:40:26 PM
i play slots hoping to win 'big win' or 'jackpot' but many times it don't hits and my balance get drained after betting many times in one slot machine. i play more bets hoping it already took my so much balance it will definitely going to hit this times, but it never happens, and my balance becomes "0".

so i am sharing some tips to avoid this type of losing streak or bad luck in slots.
here it starts:

1. always set a budget for playing slots and stick to it. do not chase losses or try to win back what you have lost by playing more.
2. if a slot machine does not hit in 7-10 spins, consider trying a different machine. this can help you avoid getting stuck on a losing streak and losing more money.
3. if you have been playing a slot machine for 50 spins and have not gotten any free spins or big wins, consider switching to a different machine.
this can help you avoid wasting money on a machine that is unlikely to pay out.
4. avoid playing slots from Pragmatic and Gamomat as they tend to have low payout percentages and are not as likely to result in big wins.
5. be careful when playing slots from Belatra and Spinomenal as they can be unpredictable and may not always pay out as expected.
6. if you do hit a big win, consider tipping any nearby players who may have been unlucky or busting. This can help spread good karma and keep the atmosphere positive.
7. avoid getting "slot psychosis" where you get stuck on one machine for too long. remember that slots are based on random chance and there is no guaranteed way to win.
so, take breaks, switch machines and remember to have fun!
8. first check the RTP (reward to player) and RTP should between 96%-100%

The math of the odds of every casino is basically against the gambler. It always makes the house win in the end.

So, having that in mind, you can simply play to enjoy a bit, but putting a large amount of money in there will most probably end up in your financial ruin.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: May 01, 2023, 11:38:42 PM

Youth are interested in Bitcoin because it's easy to work with if you understand the ntrigrity also it's a way to make money, over time BTC has risen, and with this, the youth may be interested in a way to do business digitally.
We need to talk more about the benefit of Biticion in other to attract more youth because the majority do not know how this coin works.

Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet, it makes transactions so easy and seamless.

Also micropayments in the web and in real world can be made with lightning.

International payments have been solved with Bitcoin, it's just that the current owners of legacy institutions will fight against it to keep their pay cheques.
1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: May 01, 2023, 11:35:04 PM
I was reading some where yesterday that there is a current allegation against trump, a young girl testifying to the court of law that she was raped by trump, I didn't go through all the details of the news at the time because it wasn't of interest to me, but I am curious to know if any of you is aware of this? And nobody seems to be talking about it..

Do you think the allegation is just a plot from opposition party to try to dent trump's image the more?
Or is this allegation really true,? If it be, what could possibly be the end result of this? Will trump be disqualified from the presidential race?, what happens to gamblers currently betting on him to win the election?

(please Google "trump rape case" to find relevant informations on this)

To be honest, the more people start talking about a candidate, the more votes that person will get.

It seems that it doesn't matter if it's positive or negative, it's just similar to a popularity contest.

The strange thing is that the elected person has real power over the country, so it's good to think who you want in power, as it's not the same as a popularity contest.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 30, 2023, 11:40:56 PM
I would even go further, and say that if you constantly blame someone else for your issues, then your life will probably never be great.

If, on the other hand, you take the responsibility for everything that happens to you, then you are in a position of power, because you can change yourself, and by changing yourself you can change your life.

Blaming someone else removes your power. Don't do it if you want a great life. Take full responsibility of everything that happens to you in life.

Being a host will give them the chance to be in the world cup playing against the teams but in fact when the team is not ready for the world cup and they are not really qualified normally they will just lose all the games and leave the World cup fast, just like what happened to Qatar and it doesn't matter how much money they spend for the world cup.

Absolutely.

That's what you get as a host, you get to start playing in the world cup.

After that, you're treated the same as the rest.

The thing is that historically the world cup has been hosted in countries that are good at the game, Qatar was an exception.

Does anyone mention here that American Credit Default Swaps are skyrocketing? In country without reserve currency thay would pretty much mean bankruptcy. But US Dollar is, luckily, reserve currency so USA can be indebted nearly limitless. But people should still put it into consideration. Republicans are already planning to increase debt ceiling. USA should start cuts in spending even though it's world leader economy. Or its status can be challenged. In current atmosphere I would say, democrats may not win.

Lately I've been reading a couple of articles that say that some countries are starting to move away from the USD and use other currencies instead.

Not sure if that's going to get some momentum, but I don't remember reading anything like that a decade or so ago.

Maybe the USD is declining.

except for certain casinos that have a web3 casino base and really use the original system from web3 such as decentralization without being centralized which usually does not require any KYC when wanting to withdraw any amount and gamblers will remain anonymous by only connecting a wallet.

but usually such casinos have lower maximum betting limits than casinos that have KYC rules.

Maybe, but at the end of the day those decentralized casinos are running code from a contract. That tells you nothing about the limits they might impose.

Maybe the contract says that it's fine to withdraw up to a certain amount. Being decentralized not necessarily means that there are no limits. It simply means that the code is stored in a blockchain. That's it.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 30, 2023, 11:18:50 PM
~snip~
But then this begs the question, why do you need the AI at all if you can make your own predictions and you can tell if the predictions given by the AI are any good or not?

At that point you will be better just following your betting system and ignore the predictions of the AI, as the only thing it will do is to confuse you and to create doubts in your mind about the accuracy of your system, which shows once again that as amazing as AI can be the only ones which can appreciate its power are those which do not really need it.

I guess it's having the feeling of ultimate control.

It's not simply blindly following what an automated system tells you, but you also add your gut feeling to it.

Not sure if it actually would improve the odds, but at the end of the day it might feel better for some, and that's at least a real thing.
1835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 30, 2023, 05:52:44 AM
I you want to accumulate bitcoin starting at $30 then its a good start, Im not saying for trading but to buy and hold it, you can buy weekly or bi weekly if you have extra money to invest do this in 5 -10 years and you will see the fruits of your hard earned money.

Yeah, I think they will get more out of the experience by learning how to self custody Bitcoin instead of the capital gains they might get for $30.

Long time ago, maybe, but the gains to be made these days are not comparable.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 30, 2023, 05:51:32 AM
Usage of technology is appreciated, but replacing the technology with human beings is not that good. In my opinion human beings make mistakes and the decision of the player to challenge and get the correct result makes the game interesting. It also shows how high is the player and his concentration. Having technology instead will reduce errors and helps to avoid disappointment in match results, as we were able to see more matches turning in favour of the opponent after a wrong decision from referee.

Yeah, but having to review the decisions all the time changes the rhythm of the game.

I find it a bit boring when they stop all the time for technicalities, it turns the game into something else. A bit like American Football where they stop all the time.

I think that things are better without alcohol, alcohol sometimes makes people lose control, sometimes freedoms can turn into tragedies if they are Abused, because this becomes Licentiousness and that is not good, always that there is alcohol associated with it, sometimes they can kill and they don't remember what they did, and then if so, how is it left after a misfortune occurs?I think that the healthiest thing here is that in the next World Cup there will be no alcoholic beverages, but it is difficult to Control, and if they have those Freedoms, then more problems can be generated.

The main countries of the world cup are from Europe and South America.

Those countries usually have alcohol as part of their culture. Therefore, I don't think the world cup will remove alcohol any time soon.

Plus, they have sponsors from alcoholic companies, so there's almost no chance of having a world cup free of alcohol.

Well, it should be like this, don't you think? Bonuses are there to make people "taste" the game, and then, if they like it, they must deposit to play more. Although, it's not exactly like that. Firstly, you can play in demo mode for free as much as you want. Secondly, there are exceptions. I myself won a withdrawable amount couple of times on various sites, starting with just bonus money.

Yeah, a bonus is simply to give a bit of a boost to a player.

If it was something were people actually could withdraw the whole amount without playing and putting some money in, then a lot of people would simply take the money out, making it not work for the casino at all.

The thing is that if people can do it, they will do it.

I agree with you guys because I myself prefer to get small wins but the freedom for KYC I get than having to give it later when I get a big win and the casino asks for it as a condition for withdrawal.
The casino should have said from the start that they would be enforcing KYC so that gamblers don't feel disappointed in the future.
There are a number of casinos that I use and they are different, of course some are non KYC, some also enforce KYC, but at casinos that enforce KYC, I always give it at the beginning when I register so that later I don't have problems like you said.
At first I really wanted to remain anonymous in gambling but due to several factors I inevitably started giving KYC to the casinos I used (Only trusted and reputable casinos).

I don't think there's any casino online in which you can gamble absolutely anonymous. Maybe for a small amount, but any major withdrawal I think would require some level of KYC.

If not, then it would be an easy way for people to launder money.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Satoshi is eventually ID by the government on: April 27, 2023, 04:15:14 AM
Funny, nothing will happen to Bitcoin, I believe. How long has Bitcoin operated without Satoshis, do you remember? In fact, Bitcoin is still good.
So even if Satoshi is caught, threatened, or killed, Bitcoin will still run.

Agreed.

I think it might cause some kind of temporal disturbance, but quickly it will be forgotten.

And the thing is that Bitcoin doesn't need a leader. It hasn't needed one in more than a decade, so I'm sure it will be fine.
