1821  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is signature payment for free on: January 21, 2024, 12:23:04 PM
When I woke today I was flabbergasted concerning signature payment when I viewed participate payment payroll but I was like how did the campaign managers get the funds they pay participants of their various campaigns, and secondly how does what we write in the forum convert to money that makes the managers to deem it fit to make sure their is available funds weekly to pay their participants, I was wondering and same time became astonished where the funds is coming from or the bitcoin the mangers pays to their designated participants is from the forum or someone else I gives the funds to the management of forum to pay whosoever that is in the forum
This is simple, it is not the campaign managers that are paying from their pocket but the companies you see their logos on the campaign banners. If you click on the banner, there is a link there and you will be directed to the company's website. This means that we are generating traffic for the company, so it is a pure marketing tactic.

Your pay is also commensurate to your work and your rank in the fourm.

Quote
Again can we be ask to return any funds that is being paid to us in future time, most of you who has being here for long-term have you be questioned in one way to the other for refund of payments from the designated signatures campaign you find yourself into.
No one will ever ask you to refund any money previously paid to you for your campaign participation so far you qualified for it, didn't defraud and did your work diligently and didn't impersonate anyone.
1822  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: January 21, 2024, 12:10:14 PM
Many governments were all against bitcoin from the start, but we can all see that the story is gradually changing. They are right now either seeing bitcoin in a good way or in a bad way, like some see bitcoin as a means for criminals to launder money, while others are already seeing it as an asset, whatever that means. We can't deny the fact that for bitcoin to fall under any of these categories, it has already been seen as a currency (money).

Which makes it now a legal currency in most countries, which means it could be used to go into a legal agreement that will be bind by law, so unless the casino is not ready to operate under any government and serve the citizens of a particular country, then they will need some licence to operate.

For the main time, if you are starting small as a casino, you might not all need those licences and approvals as there might be little eyes on you, but after that, if you want your business to go far, you need to operate based on the laws that govern owning a casino.
agree with this mate everyone of us have different perspective and way of looking in Bitcoin and some of us are already know that Bitcoin is not a scam and Bitcoin is very good to invest but there are many people around the globe that they will not accept Bitcoin and the best example of these are governments which they didn't accept Bitcoin in their country and we don't know the main reason why they don't accept Bitcoin. But nowadys there some countries that they are now accepting bitcoins than before .
Acceptance of Bitcoin or not, the government is still saddled with the responsibility to keep a sane environment, not that illicit financial flows will be moving up and down in the name of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and they will not be able to do anything about it. Only that people do not want to accept the fact, and they want a world of no regulation and control. But are they thinking about the bad effects of that as well? A lot of victims of illicit flows are out there, who knows the next victim of terrorism and trafficking? We should not be selfish but even pray for more regulations as the decentralization of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is making it easier to move illicit money, easier than fiat. Although I know before now, yet recently, all the movies I watched that involved illicit flows, it was all about Bitcoin transfer means, just because of the easiness. So it can't be comfortable for the government to fold their arms, and it will be very reasonable to make the company dealing with Bitcoin and other cryptos in their domains to at least be accountable for their transactions and I see nothing wrong about this.

Registration, licencing and regulation are important and I will always support it. We should even thank the countries' governments that are still allowing cryptocurrency in their domain, if they don't, there is nothing anyone can do. Also, for the reason why some countries ban cryptocurrency, well, it is obvious and it is to encourage illicit financial flows since the government cannot oversee it. Even the illicit flows will be meant for so many illegal activities that could be so devastating to the country. But some governments are only protecting their economy, crypto is also a devil in disguise as your country's money might not be recorded for the country but stay in crypto (cross-border payments), how can it add FX to your nation even if it is gotten from another country? The government will never know of such a transaction unless you call their attention to it. Nevertheless, the government that banned crypto went too far, they should have regulated it just like the US and the Western nations are doing. This would have served the same purpose or almost the same purpose as the banning but with the government gaining more from it. This is even as the supposed banning is not always effective as people use other means to move cryptos behind the back of the government.
1823  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 21, 2024, 11:47:30 AM
Is that e even possible that they gamble a d keep building up their money on the platform till it attain a particular level, when most people are gambling and loosing and we all know it's easier to loose while gambling than winning, so there's no how they go about it than adding up their additional income to the money used in gambling over time, if they wanted to know if this is true or not, then they should visit their bets history to see the amount spent on bets and the numbers of winning realized with amounts.
There are many gamblers who earn good amount from gambling and they also keep the winning fund. But gamblers make the mistake of overconfidence when they start winning, which causes them to lose the winning funds. So building an account is not easy, it requires proper strategy and ability to control the gambler's own emotions. A losing gambler can also check his bet history to see that if he had refrained from taking bets at a certain time, he would have been a profitable gambler.
Is not good to become over confident when you record some few winning because at that time, you will most likely be making some decisions that may be way outside your based risk level and could push you into loses on the long run, sometimes, many of the gamblers, why the complain alot have some problems controlling themselves and also maintaining a stable ground while gambling and for that the end up making so many bets out of anxieties and over confidence because of a few winning for them at some point in time.
So we have to put in place limits that will guide us against such an attack on our mental well being, because being over confidence in gambling comes out of anxieties and anxiety have been a known mental illness so we need to pay close attention to that, we shouldn't take the issues of over confidence with nievity.
In everything we do, it is best that we moderate things, be it in feelings and achievements or setbacks, we should not be so self-believing, it could be the downfall of the person if care is not taken. Gambling as we know it is always risky, it is not such that we can entirely predict rightly, for this reason alone, we should not be too perfect in our thoughts, but try as much as possible to understand our approach to it and also manage ourselves and our account towards it. We do not think that because we win today, it will be like that tomorrow also, or believe that because we lose today, we will not gain tomorrow, either one can come, but when we are preplanned for them with good management and control instead of overconfidence, the negative side will affect us minimally. Everything must be moderated based on the results we are regularly seeing whether it is positive or negative.

As we gamble, we should avoid emotion and other psychological imbalances, they creep in carelessly and we should approach gambling politely and decisively. We should have our plans and budgets, know the dos and don'ts of gambling and no matter how profitable it is for us. We should never forget our place in it as it is such that can either make us win or lose and in losses, we plan even better as we rely on the good budgets that will preserve our account at any point in time. Going against these will only put the gambler into trouble and can easily end the previous joy of a winning gambler.
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Instant Bitcoin on: January 21, 2024, 11:18:18 AM
I don't want to advertise anything. But isn't it true that if instant version of btc is invented such protocol starts to beat bitcoin?
There is a new protocol that is identical to BTC. PoW, maximum supply cap, halvings. But it is instant. Real-time payments in the first layer. Practically, Bitcoin 2.0. I just don't understand. Am I the only one who sees it?
The only Btc problem is speed. And it is solved. That btc copy is instant. Because i just don't understand why no one else sees it.
I don't think you are advertising anything either but giving information, seeking answers and opinions, and by virtue of this as well, you are propagating information which is the beauty of the forum. What Bitcoin can and can't do are many, that's why we have altcoins trying to do better so that what it (Bitcoin) can't do, the alternatives can do it. So, it is not new and not about calling it Bitcoin or not, altcoins would have been able to do what the instant Bitcoin would want to do.

Well, the people and market sentiment and appreciation about a thing could be uncertain, it can't be predicted as such, it is not until it is developed and fully marketed that we can know the outcome. No one can ever say if the present Bitcoin can ever be for life, especially the decentralized nature which will always be the subject of controversy. If other similar projects with almost the same name are being developed, who knows what will eventually happen? But my concern is that some similar projects have been done before with Bitcoin still retaining what it is, my final advice in this regard is for us to be watchful of the situation, and if it is worth trying, why not invest in it? After all, many projects in which people make money started like that.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: January 21, 2024, 10:58:56 AM
Dogecoin may not achieve such great success again anytime soon. the market will slowly decline until it reaches a fairly stable price value. For the current price, there is still the possibility of a price reduction to a certain level.
We cannot continue to hope that Dogecoin will always increase and provide profits for its holders. however, dogecoin is one of the popular altcoins in the crypto market. Hopefully, the Dogecoin situation doesn't get worse this year.
I mentioned a price for this coin in my previous post and today the price of the coin has dropped further from there.Today I saw that the price of Bitcoin has dropped to $41,221 dollars in the crypto currency market, maybe its effect is starting to fall on the alt coins.
As far as I know from my experience if the price of Bitcoin doesn't go up then the price of alt coins doesn't go up either. Similarly, the price of Doge Coin has decreased today compared to yesterday.
What I know is that Bitcoin can initiate a move in the crypto space, and altcoin can do the same as well, it is not all about Bitcoin, but just that Bitcoin is more symbolic and has more news to cause the movement than that of altcoins. I've seen many times that Bitcoin was sluggish on movement but some altcoins move so well and the lucky ones to have purchased them made their money, such will always continue to happen in the market as it is not about Bitcoin alone. As for Dogecoin, I do not have so much trust in this coin anymore, it seems that it has served its time, we should give room for others now. Then, the much of focus on Dogecoin helped it so well, and the same thing goes for Shiba Inu, but now, there are many alternatives in their cadre and many more crypto that need money to be spread in them, so do not expect that much inflow of money on Dogecoin like before, and for this I believe it will disappoint the expectation of many in the next bull run just as it did in the recent one witnessed where most major coins moved at least two times their price, but Dogecoin and Shiba Inu reduces to do. That've served their meme's time in my opinion.
1826  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 21, 2024, 10:44:15 AM
Choosing a casino site that has a good reputation is the main solution, many are available here, and you can read reviews about casinos directly here, that's why you are always careful with new casinos, usually the T&Cs and Tos are still displayed but the text is minimized or in a corner. so that people are lazy to read, still be careful with cashinks like that, deposit without withdrawing  Grin

All those minimized texts called disclaimers are the devils mail. If you read most of them you'll be surprised at the kind of power you hand over to them on your finances. Most people want to get the game going anyways so they care less about reading them and it has now become a lifestyle not just in the gambling space
It is good to read the terms and conditions of the company you are signing to, nevertheless, often time, if you want to gamble all the same, whether most of the terms and conditions are against you or not or you have given the casino so much power, you will still accept it, or else, you will not be able to gamble your favourite games. This is your choice still, but since most people want to gamble all the same, they then continue to accept the terms and conditions they read or did not read. But some are too careless about this, they would agree to the terms and conditions even without reading some key parts, despite in many, the evil is embedded in those parts which causes issues for them eventually.

I don't joke with the part about withdrawals, especially the reasons that can cause account locking and refusal to honour my withdrawal, so I pay attention to them and also talk with some support staff. However, what I have noticed is that these terms and conditions of casinos are almost the same thing except for a few alterations, which is more discouraging for me as we give them so much power indeed. No wonder that even the court often sides in favour of the customer at times despite being guilty a little bit in such a case that could be bent by the judge since it is a plain evil with most terms and conditions in key areas. I wonder what the government is doing about it as it amounts to cheating due to the desperation of people. It is not all terms and conditions that should be allowed by the law.
1827  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 21, 2024, 10:24:30 AM
There are people that learning from their mistakes and those are the gambler in which will never become addicted because they are more on responsible gambler than greedy one and indeed that once you have full control of your emotion and knows where to place yourself then that proves you to be a good gambler.
not like those many that even spend all their money and time to try their luck to the fullest .
I agree with that. We make mistakes, we learn, we move on, and somehow find a way to change it.
Being a responsible gambler is extremely hard because of the appealing factor of gambling. It gives pleasure, let's not be hypocrites about that, it somehow jogs our emotions which is also why it becomes addictive. It's never boring.
But, when a losing spree happens, this is where it gets to our head and stress becomes more, madness. I had my share of losing spree and there is a time where I rant at the chatbox just to take off the steam in my head. I was so mad that RTP wouldn't be seen anywhere. It just took my money in a way that I have no fighting chance.
One of the gamblers' responsibilities is to control that emotion. Our minds can be cloudy sometimes due to losses and all we can do is rest for a moment until everything is clear. It's not like gambling sites will just give away a high multiplier just to make us calm again, that won't happen. There are games where it takes a lot of time before it gives back, patience is all we needed.

i guess we have our own share of losses, disappointments and similar emotions. after all, this is what gambling looks like. you can't deny the fact that there are so many frustrations involved here especially those long timers.
being responsible relies on the player himself, not his friend or colleagues. because at the end of the day, it is your funds at stake, so it is your own volition to take care of your financials.
You have some point there but not entirely right. As much as I believe and will support you about the share of losses, disappointment and emotions in gambling, and even the responsibility by gamblers is a choice to make by oneself, I will never agree that a friend can't influence it. Be it your money or not, many friends have influenced responsible gambling amount their friends, especially if they are gamblers themselves. That is why it is part of our advice here and in other places that you should talk to friends and family about your irresponsible gambling and addiction. Or do you think it is a joke?

To some friends, even without telling them, they could speedily know or suspect the issue and the danger ahead for their friend and by either direct advice or by the influence of their styles of gambling, the friend could change or emulate them. You might have your own mind, but some people can be well influenced by friend and their environment, and if the friend is such that is irresponsible in his gambling, it could corrupt the person in question. And if that is possible, so is the responsible part of it too, which is why we should also be careful of the kind of friends we keep, they could either set us right or influence us badly depending on how strong or weak our minds are.

This might look somehow to you but that is the truth. At times, it's not about the person alone, especially those who have loose mouths, they can get faster help before it gets worse. If the right control is advised or exercised by the persons from the beginning, the effect is always negligible, while some might even leave gambling from the very beginning or learn how to control/comport themselves towards it.
1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: January 21, 2024, 10:07:42 AM
-snip-

Seriously i'm amazed by this, seeing that a gambling or gambler problem can be solved.

But it doesn't make things better cause we all know everything that has a bad side, also have a good side but people will always tend to adapt to the bad ones, and that's to say they would still go on with their irresponsible pattern of gambling.
Why are you amazed here, is it about the who part of what the OP says or just a fraction reservation from your end? You should have been elaborated on your discussion since you started with a remark that looked objective to what the OP is trying to say, but unfortunately, your short response seems to be neutral in tone and still does not change anything from what we already know. But before you might be moved to add some words if so desired after my reply, I would like you to know that anyone could be healed of any gambling issues. This can only be easy if they are willing, but if they are not willing, they can still get healed but will take more time and a better approach from those who are saddled with the task to help them.

Also, irresponsible gambling is a choice, and I always advise people before choosing to gamble, this will not even cause them issues that will need external help as they would have guarded against such from the beginning. But people are so naive and also adamant, they are greedy towards the money, and hence the reason they are trapped often mentally when it comes to gambling. The same goes for healing as well, once they desire they want to be healed, they will be healed, this is a choice for everyone, especially if you know that what you are doing is not good and obviously negative to your life.
1829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: January 21, 2024, 09:46:42 AM
When it comes to the Bitcoin of before, it is in fact an opportunity that lands cannot contest with, it could earn you thousands of multiple of the invested money in a very short time. Land can't achieve that even in 100 years, but yet, land is a very good investment, especially if lowly appreciated land becomes a choice place. We have seen countless of such before where some people could earn more than 50 times of money they used to purchase the land.

One thing about land is that it doesn't depreciate in most cases unless something bad just happens or it is confiscated from the person. But the truth is that things are changing with Bitcoin, and now, I think some lands are even better than Bitcoin, this is because Bitcoin has grown enough and though might continue to grow but it can't be in its huge multiples as before anymore. As for the risk involved, Bitcoin has higher risks, it has the entire risk of owning it on the internet and the fast depreciating risk during the bearish season. But for land, it is offline, once it is properly documented, no one will just come and steal your land from you.

In all, if one has the money, such can invest in the two, after all, it is still a good way to diversify one's portfolio.

1 Buy Altcoins from Dip
2 Selling altcoins, to buy more cheap during halving
3 Doing DCA Only
4 just watching the market like me
I love all the tasks you posted here and I do not think that there is extra that any crypto investor can add, other than staking their crypto or investing elsewhere other than crypto before halving time. As you iterated them above, I believe that wise investors can make use of all. They can buy more altcoins after the selling is over and I must say that this is my plan as well. I have a little amount to commit to buying at their low levels. But I must ensure that a bullish pattern is seen on the weekly chart again before doing that. Also, I've sold some altcoins too, I was able to outsmart the current bearish view, but the coins I sold are not much. Of course, DCAing is a very good approach, but I advise everyone to stop that plan for now, they should start to use the DCA approach when they are at least sure that the altcoins they are interested in have bottomed already even if the bullish pattern is not yet strongly visible. But for the rest of my altcoins, many had lost back some of the profit initially gained since the last bull run, so your number 4 is applicable in this regard. I will continue to watch them, but I know that they will definitely make me happy over time. So, no needed for panic.
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 21, 2024, 08:58:30 AM
Whenever you seek quick-rich methods, most likely you will be a loser. There are no so-called mining sites; they are all scams. They trap us by offering quick money. We have to think there is no money-making machine to make us rich over the night. Forget about quick-rich scam sites; even Bitcoin investments won't make us rich quickly. If we expect that, then likely we can't gain from here. We have to understand what Bitcoin is and how it works. But definitely, we have to ignore all kinds of quick-rich methods and offers that we see on the internet.
Thank you for this advice, I hope people can learn it and still change before they become the next victim of cryptocurrency. This scam started with Bitcoin, later, it graduated to Ethereum, but now, you see it all around the cryptocurrency as a whole. It is so bad to the point that people are so gullible, they just believe even when they haven't learned a single thing about where and what they are committing their money. How bad could that be? Once they hear the name Crypto, they believe is an automatic way to make money, but it is not, one can make the money or lose it, and one of the fastest ways to lose money in cryptocurrency is to believe in hypes and HYIP. The most common ones are mining scams and other fake staking scams. Everyone needs to learn and know the way the cryptocurrency they are dealing with works before they commit their money especially if you want to stake or mine. Many of them are now on social media employing the services of influencers to swindle people due to their cheap trust in mere handles. The earlier we know, the better for us.
1832  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: January 21, 2024, 08:42:54 AM
-snip-
So, my question is very simple. What skills are you currently learning or have learned and are earning from, and what is the reason why you picked it?
Nothing can be compared to skills and creativity, if one doesn't possess them, I urge such to at least learn them because they are enrichers and problem solvers. Once you can solve a problem, nothing is your limit unless you do not know how to put 1 and 2 together to form the desired result. If you are not creative/talented yourself to have one or develop it into skills, find it one way or another instead of staying idle and being a follower for the rest of your life. It is financial freedom we are talking about, you need it, and you do not procrastinate if you are wise. I've been smart enough to know this since I was young and I have strived to be independent, even though the road wasn't rosy at all, just not for the faint in the heart, I was able to do it in my own bit and achieve considerably well.

Though I am not still satisfied due to the few resources to pursue the future, I am happy that I did not just give myself to be used by one boss or employers, and I know it will get better since there is time. I decided to stop working under anybody many years back and developed my trading/investment, leadership and writing skills (book writing). You might be thinking that these are not so wonderful for making money, but if you are good at them and channel them rightly, they will help you, my friend. Leadership skills help with more connection, and if you can write a book, you can write a movie, which means money. However, those are just a few examples.
1833  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 21, 2024, 08:19:08 AM
Say no to a single job/work, there must be multiple of them, we all need more than one source of income and we must take responsibility when we still have the strength to do it at our age. The financial flow must be nice and encouraging without any discouragement, and if you are still the type that is having a savings problem, well, that means you still have an income problem, then you should not stop there but continue to look for the available means to make more money. If you cannot save weekly or monthly uninterruptedly after paying all your bills, then you should still not be comfortable at the level you are. Or else, you might die struggling for the rest of your life or remain ever poor, which is pathetic.
What you need to strive for is not to have several jobs, but to ensure that you have several sources of income.
I think you are just overbearing in this reply, nothing else, as what you said as seen in the quote above is the same thing as far as I am concerned. Another source of income could be "relative," maybe you would like to define them better to ascertain what you are talking about. Are you telling me that securing another job is not an added advantage to earning more if you have the time and energy? Many moonlighters earn more with their additional jobs than the main jobs, so people could combine jobs if they want to earn more. I mean having 3 jobs a day and are fine with them depending on the nature of the job, the pay and the time they have for free activities before the day runs out.

It is not all jobs that will be so burdensome, and some are informal but may pay really better than the formal jobs, it depends on how you have developed yourself to have enough qualifications to fit in for whatever service is required of you. In this light, I only view your post as an overbearing one which can't see the light of the day as far as I am concerned because it is not all jobs that are formal or that will be so shocky to take all your time and energy for the day. Yet, they give you good and reasonable extra income. I even know some people enjoying this even as they are government workers.
1834  Economy / Speculation / Post-ETF effect: Has Bitcoin Bottomed yet? on: January 20, 2024, 05:23:09 PM
The Bitcoin ETF saga of approval/rejection has finally been put to rest as the "approval" finally has it. But the market has never greeted it with much excitement as it sold on that very day of approval but rose sharply to hit a little above $49,000 the next day before plummeting ever since then. This is no doubt a short-term setback for Bitcoin even as we expect the positive effect of halving on the coin. Also, I hope that this short-term bearish trend, (perhaps I should call it a correction of the main bullish trend) will not grow into a more determined bearishness that will put the coin under further pressure.

As it is now, since last week, I knew that Bitcoin would fall but I expected it to be held by the support level of the 1D Fibo level of 38.2% at $40243 as you can see on my chart below. The market hit the level yesterday and sharply rebounded to record a daily high of $42,143. This indicates that it respected the level and buyers pended their position at the level or closer levels. A sustainable bullish price action above the level, in my opinion, might be the end of the recent bearish view and will bring about the resumption of the whole bullish trend to retarget above $49,000.

But first, the resistance level of the 1D Fibo level of 23.6% at $43,606 must be successfully breached higher, while a daily close above the level will ascertain it. However, a successful breach of the 1D Fibo level of 38.2% at $40243 will cause more bearish pressure that will eventually unveil $37,519, which is the 1D's 50% Fibo level before any bullish consideration will ever be possible.

This is my view guys. What are your views about the current Bitcoin status?

1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: January 20, 2024, 04:39:10 PM
I prefer staking before matches start when I started to gamble as a newbie. I later prefer virtual matches. I left both to staking on live matches which is what I gamble with most on bookies now.

This is just for fun. Let us post and have fun to know which one that most people on this forum that are posting on this gambling board like most.
You have done it all and I must that you have all the experience when it comes to sports betting. On my part, I must say that I stick to my betting before the actual match, I rarely bet on live matches and I entirely avoid the virtue matches to avoid fooling myself. I resolved to do this based on my experience and smartness after carefully studying how sports betting works, and I believe that it is the reason why I have a happier betting experience than an average person.

Virtual matches have their flaws and they are discouraging to me, while live betting could alter one's psychology since you are being moved by the moment and live happenings. I don't think the smartest decisions can always be made in that condition. Enough mistakes could be made through this, so I avoid it as I do not like to bet under tension, especially when the initial bets have already been lost. But betting before the actual match gives me the benefits of calmness and not of sentiment based on what I currently see. I speculate with a lot of criteria, so it is actually what I wanted to do that I do. Thankfully, it often works for me even as I manage by bettings and accounts rightly.

It all goes hand-in-hand, the risk and the reward attached to it, the house is not foolish, they know how to permutate and combinate it together so that the tough choices would be presented to you in the form of the odds and the risk involved so that you are confused. But this should not still cause issues as, I for one, will never go for the risk that is too high and not feasible to win, especially in football. I know how I play my thing and avoid most games if necessary when the choice is attached to too many risks. At the same time, it is not that bad, the risk could be well-sized and many of them are fairly concluded in a way that will be good for the gambler and the house.

After all, it risks we are taking as we gamble, we should learn how to take them, but reasonably, and when it is too high and unreasonable for us, it is not a must that we go for that betting, we can skip to the next one or wait till a fair and more reasonable one is presented to us. It is the house that is calling the shot, but we are also not forced, so let us make a carefully weighed and correct decisions.
1837  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: January 20, 2024, 01:44:36 PM
You can watch this video from 07:20 if you want to skip on the other parts:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxty2XhTwVI

Basically it's very simple.

You take a currency that requires 21 days for staking/unstaking, then you deposit this amount in Atomic Wallet, stake it and then you can't gamble with the crypto you're holding.

The locking (staking) is done with one single click of a button, and it's practically speaking, equivalent to activation of self-exclusion on an online gambling site with a click of a button (and yet not all sites offer it unfortunately).

For example, you stake (lock) $200 of your crypto, and that's all crypto available for you - then you can't play/gamble/risk it for at least 21 days ... do it 15 times a year time after time, and you would be excluded for a long time.

The only drawback with this method is Atomic doesn't offer this on USDT so some "gamblers" might not like this idea because they trust stablecoins more than other crypto coins, but this is FYI.

Excluding yourself from anonymous gambling sites is crucial to gamblers, you saying that you will stake for   21days and then you lock up the coins and all of that.

Its quite understandable but its not gonna make any benefits yo excluding from the sites, cause basically there are alot ways to reach out to other sites, apart from your opinion.
Welcome to the party, we have said these times without numbers that it will not work at all, gambling is to engage more than that before the gambler is healed, and if one had locked the money, another money that is available later will be used to continue the gambling. This can't exclude anything but help the gambler to keep his money somewhere for a specific period of time. There are many investments we make that will lock our money for even more than 21 days, some 90 days, some 6 months, and some a year and even more. Will that stop a bettor or an addict in gambling to stop gambling?

Who knows, due to the fact that the money was locked and deprived the gambler of the chance to bet, maybe he will not repeat it again, but instead commit the money, after the 21 days have lapsed, to betting and wasted it including the profit initially gained. I think what the OP is suggesting is never the solution here and will never hold water. The solution is psychology and that is how the bettor should approach it. Building self-control and discipline and having the determination in what you want to do will go a long way over that recommendation. It will be nice for the gambler to work on his willpower, in addition, and always being cautious of gambling controlling power to be able to gamble when he feels like it and avoid it when he doesn't want to gamble.
1838  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit stole my withdrawal… please help on: January 20, 2024, 01:29:50 PM
After my two-year journey on Rollbit, I’ve lossed over $100,000. my ex-girlfriend, in concern for our well-being, took the initiative to request the -snip-
The perplexing part is that I was never informed about the ban when my ex closed the initial account. Had I known, I would have refrained from further deposits. Seeking advice on potential resolutions and exploring oversight from a gambling authority for crypto casinos seems prudent, given the circumstances. It appears unjust to be notified of the account ban only upon attempting to withdraw, especially after multiple deposits and losses.
Next time post this kind of a topic in the Scam Accusation section of the forum.

You should have pursued it with care, after all, it is not only Rollbit that offers gambling, you should have moved on to another casino when they were not acting professionally before opening another account with them, not to mention that you didn't know that you were committing an infraction by that. Ban or not, I do not think that Rollbit will condone double accounts to avoid cheating. This is a well-known rule in casinos, but still, casinos should treat cases like this differently to investigate the cause so that they can ascertain the threat to the company. And if there is no threat, I do not think it is a good idea to still have the account locked.

They may only advise you upon investigation to use only one account and select the one you prefer to be using so that they can delete the second account. But because of their selfishness, they will not do that. This is one bad thing in many casinos, they are doing anyhow and will always be proving a point that is not fair. Some people would fall victim due to ignorance, but it is morally right that the casino be reasonable about this. Nevertheless, I do not see a reason why casinos shouldn't give back the money of the customer if they are parting ways with them. I see the refusal to hand you back your money as stealing. Or did they give you back the money?
1839  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: January 20, 2024, 12:47:35 PM
It's fun guys, govs hardly avoid accepting Bitcoin is money, but when it comes to gambling then users are risking money, so, casinos need a license.
Don't get this wrong, I do not think the government can be so dumb as to say Bitcoin is not money when they know it is an asset, a tradeable one for that matter, you may only misquote them. Except that they fear Bitcoin is not supported by any physical asset, but they are wrong there as people's money is enough to support it.

Let's be honest, If you can deposit, wager, and withdraw. I don't see where the license is in the process...

Just want to say Fuck Curaçao, the island in the middle of nowhere who decide to take the crypto gambling industry in their hands and make billions of dollars with it. Who the fuck they are to wash money this way?
You have a good point here, most of these casinos are just overbearing, and the Curacao license is not that strong to warrant what they are trying to pretend. Still, they should be prepared in case they are the subject of investigation one way or another. And this time, cryptocurrency will not save them as they must reveal all their financial flows crypto or not.

Crypto gambling needs freedom, and i insist in this point. If you can Deposit, Wager and Widrawal, then you don't need anything else.  And a big shout out to those casinos who still working until now without a license, freebitco.in, Just-Dice.com, bustabit.com... They are big examples of how crypto gambling should be.
This is because regulation of crypto usage is still weak, with time, cryptocurrency users will be more accountable, and the time is near. No casinos will be able to operate over time as if they are not in the world bound by any law. For those casinos that are operating in sane environments, they have to be more accountable due to regulations and internal inventigations. You are not an insider, a lot is there for them to be answerable to as government officials and law enforcers will always be on their neck.

Fast forward to 2 days ago (16th Jan) and I made a withdrawal for 0.5 eth - nothing too crazy considering I've always deposited and withdrawn anything from 0.3 eth up to 1 eth. I then received a message asking me to KYC levels 1 and 2. I duly obliged however my passport was immediately declined - this was automatic and there was no manual input - as soon as i uploaded it there was an error. I was told to contact support again.

Support asked me to complete level 3. I tried to, however there was no option to move on to level 3 as it kept auto-declining my level 2 verification.

Support then asked me where I am based, to which I replied Norway. However, I tried to log in today and my account is locked. I've had no email or contact from Rollbit, so I decided to email them. This was their response.

I'd like to make it clear to bitcointalk members that I was born in the UK, but am currently based in Norway. This does not break their ts and cs, and they haven't even given me a chance to prove this.
This situation has the mixed feelings from me and I do think that it will be so unfair to crucify Rollbit in this case. You will have to let go because they have the upper hand over you as you broke their terms and conditions clearly if you registered as a UK citizen and tried to verify with the UK's documents.

This is why you should be smarter next time and at least read the terms and conditions of your casino, and if you do not understand, ask the support staff. This is another warning to those who believe that it is later they have to do the KYC, most will argue with me but your case is another good reason they should think otherwise. After all, it would have revealed that to you even before you deposited a dime to the casino.

As it is, you are guilty my friend, unless you are not just thorough in your narration. If I read you and the image you posted correctly, you are also in the plus, which means you are a threat as some casinos often focus their beam on those who are winning and find ways to eject them. Just move on bro, you are a good gambler, look for the casinos that will allow your country of birth and residence, and you will be just fine.
