1821  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet account under review for 5 months on: March 21, 2023, 08:43:30 PM
It's been 5 months already and then they're asking you to have it for another month in total of 6 months just to be on under investigation and review for your account? How much got you've in it? hundreds of millions?

If that's what they say, then add some more patience and just play what they've said that it will take for 6 months. I know it feels to be disappointing when it's truthfully too long for such review. A month is even that long already but 5 months and then asking for another one, that's crazy.

Try posting it on their thread so it will get more attention by their representative.
Checking an account for five months is strange. I don't think I can be this patient. Even if they discover any infringement by this user, it has taken too long to handle. If this client have broken or disobeyed the terms and conditions, then the management should tell him his offense and stop delaying the customer. I have high regards for Cloudbet and I am sure this issue will be sorted out accordingly. But one of the features of a reputable gambling firms is their ability to handle customers issues promptly and I think Cloudbet will consider this and save thier reputation.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 21, 2023, 08:13:10 PM
For me it is difficult, but not impossible because mathematically Real Madrid still have a chance. While Barcelona need at least 8 more wins to seal the title, their chances are good but let's see what they can do in April.
Let's be realistic, this defeat left Real Madrid no chance in La Liga, all they can count on is the Champions League. But you understand what the Champions League is and how much just one unsuccessful match can solve there and what level the teams are left at this stage. I liked how Real played with Barcelona in such a match any of the teams could win, it's just that Barcelona was a little more lucky that evening.

We might not just conclude that Real Madrid will not be able to grab the La Liga because in football anything is possible. Few losses on the part of Barcelona and more wins for Real will make the difference. But like you stated it will be very difficult for Real to push out Barca from he top spot because Barcelona is focusing on the La Liga while Real is pursuing more than one trophies. Real is contending for the UEFA champions League and it seems to be their main focus. But the last match between both teams looked like a Champions finals, it was very entertaining and filled with suspense.
1823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The value of bitcoin on: March 21, 2023, 07:33:15 PM
This thread was published on February 20, that is, a month ago. Her text has been opened for reading 40 times, but no one has left a comment yet. Apparently, this is due to the fact that hardly anyone has read it to the end. It is too long, and the theoretical information presented in it is tiring.

I am not even sure that OP have read the information in this thread. If he had read and understand what he has posted, it would have been summarized and arranged in a brief writeup so that members can find it attractive to read. From what I have read so far, this information is educating but I don't think many user have the time to go through such long material.

As a newbie you must study the writings in his forum so that you can have knowledge of the length and arrangements thay can attract members to your posts. I have also observed that members in this forum pay more attention to your personal experience that can be helpful to them.
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Asset performance Q1 2023 on: March 21, 2023, 08:50:41 AM
I use to hear people say that bitcoin is not a good hedge against inflation and it seems reasonable because of its volatility. But with this recent dramatic increase in the price of bitcoin in a few months, I can argue with anyone that bitcoin is one of the best hedges against currency devaluation and inflation. It has shown over the years that even if it drops, there is hope that it will rise. The problem mostly is that the time of its rising and falling is unpredictable. I don't think I have encountered any asset or currency that has had such consistency and recovery rate.
I will be pleased if Balaji Srinivasan prediction comes to pass because I might benefit from it. But it looks like this analysis is overambitious.
1825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Low demands as bitcoin declined in price. on: March 20, 2023, 08:05:16 PM
I'm not sure what the op means about a low demand for Bitcoin and Bitcoin price getting lower. It's clearly getting higher and higher, and it's happening pretty fast. It also means that Bitcoin is in high demand, as that's what leads to the price growing over time. I don't think the reason why Bitcoin is growing is clear. It might be because of the banks in the US, or maybe Bitcoin just stayed low for too long and it's finally building up toward a proper bull run, which happens from time to time regardless of external economic or political factors.
I don't think OP was around when bitcoin dropped to less than $15,000. And there were even predictions that it will get to $5000. This period has been a very good time for bitcoin and players in the sector are smiling after a long bear run. Although I might not be correct, but I am suspecting that just like the fall of crypto exchanges led to the drop in the price of bitcoin, the fall of banks might be the reason for the rise in the price. Op you should know that we are in a mini-bull run or a pre-bull run, so enjoy it  Cheesy.
1826  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tax Avoidance Possible legally with Bitcoin? on: March 20, 2023, 07:47:55 PM
Is this possible?

Depending on the tax laws of the country you move to and the country you are leaving, you may or may not have to pay taxes in both countries. Some countries have tax agreements with each other to avoid double taxation, while others tax residents on their worldwide income. For example, if the country you are moving to has a tax agreement with the U.S., you may be exempt from paying taxes on your worldwide income. However, if you are moving to a country that does not have such an agreement with your home country, you may be required to pay taxes in both places. In some cases, this can lead to double taxation and result in higher taxes than what would have been due if you were only taxed once.

When in doubt about whether or not you have to file, consult an accountant or tax professional who is familiar with international taxes.

If you are a US resident Puerto Rico will be a good place to carry out this tax exemption plan. Puerto Rico has a policy of %100 tax exemption for capital gains. And this country could be cheaper than Dubai. But you still have to face some hurdles because one has to be a permanent resident to enjoy these exemption benefits. Purchasing a property in Puerto Rico might be the easiest means of becoming a bonafide residence. Depending on your location you kind find other countries that offer tax exemption policies based on the diplomatic relationship between your country and other nations.
1827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what to do if I addicted to login into the forum. on: March 20, 2023, 02:19:24 PM
I am a newbie and this is my first ever forum account and i am addicted to it, i log in many many times a day, what can i do to stop addiction, "every addiction is bad"
is it happened to your sometime when you were newbie?
OP you didn't say why you always log in. If the reason why you log in is to read and get more knowledge about bitcoin, then it is a positive addiction. For me, your situation is like being addicted to reading. Recently my cousin came back from school and I discovered that she was highly addicted to tik tok and Facebook. I was surprised when she was weeping because her phone battery ran down and there was no power to charge her phone. Moderation is key in every issue or live's activity but it is better to be addicted to this forum than social media. Except it's for business, social media has low or no benefits.
1828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 20, 2023, 01:29:38 PM
Most times games don't yield our expectations. The reason why Inter Milan lost the match was mostly because They were not lucky.  They played their best right from the first half of the match. They dominated the game in possession but were making inaccurate attempts, while the few attempts juventus made was able to produce a goal for them. I think juventus were more careful and not only the luck, cuz they were more accurate. But in all, it was quite a difficult match for the both team.
The leading clubs in Seria A are in a fierce competition for first place in this challenging season. Juventus is likely pleased with the three points it earned at Giuseppe Meazza after barely avoiding a draw. The home team completely controlled the game, although I believe they were unlucky not to score. The elderly lady is currently 7 points behind fourth place, and they will keep working harder to make UCL next season. But, I'm glad that my prediction was accurate because the visitors won the game in the end.
For now, Napoli has no close rival in the league. Nineteen points gap from second place Lazio is not easy to lose and the club is still much intact and Impressive. Torino in the first half made some good attempts that were saved by Alex Meret. I think Juventus was the better team against Inter Milan because they attacked effectively and wasted many opportunities. Inter's attack was totally blunt and couldn't produce any good goal-scoring chances. AC Milan's game was a total disaster. Udinese totally outclassed them and deserved the win. Napoli will win the league if the continue with their superlative performance.
1829  Economy / Economics / Re: A warm welcome from the Taiwan Crypto Industry on the new regulations. on: March 20, 2023, 12:24:03 PM
This news is a good and bad one. The good news is that the country is becoming nice to cryptocurrencies which might make Taiwan a crypto hub. Investors might consider moving to or investing in Taiwan. I will have to study the gazetted regulation to ascertain how favorable it is to the crypto community because it might have some investment opportunities.

Regulation is against the main aim of the invention of Bitcoin. The fear of the fall of exchanges might be the cause for this action but I also hope that government will not want to place restrictions on decentralized channels. In drafting and implementing this regulatory document they would be aware that it was exchanged that collapsed and not bitcoin. Giving the citizens the privilege of making their choice between centralized and decentralized systems should be the main focus of this policy.
1830  Other / Meta / Re: Can I merit a banned account? on: March 19, 2023, 08:24:12 PM
Merit is given to posts that were helpful or answered a question. Meriting a post of a banned user is not an offense in the forum but it might be seen as a waste of merit because it is useless to the poster. But it might not be totally useless because the member can be unbanned in the future. But I don't think I will merit a banned user's post except I don't know that he has been banned. It's not wrong but I am not just comfortable doing that.
1831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 19, 2023, 08:02:27 PM
Potter could not do a good change and substitution against Everton
I think he might be listening too much to people and not to himself
Yesterday bringing those substitute did not go well at most the removal of Pulisic, Kovacic and Fofana
I don't really know people that adviced Potter to make those substitution he made yesterday, but he will have to take the blame, he made wrong substitution yesterday, am sure if not for the changes he made, Chelsea will have won their match against Everton yesterday. The goal margin was close, Chelsea was winning Everton 2-1 before Potter made those substitution, if he didn't make those substitution, Chelsea will have won yesterday's match, I still blame Potter for Chelsea playing draw in yesterday's match.

Every coach will always try some technical skills to see if it would achieve the expected result. Sometimes these changes produce a positive outcome while in other cases it backfires. Chelsea's team improved significantly and we must give Graham Potter some credit. Qualifying for the quarterfinal of the Uefa Champion league is a feat that even more established clubs like PSG have failed to achieve. The team is made up of a bunch of new players that need time to adapt to the English style of play. The management should give the coach at least till the end of this to see what he can achieve. After all, Arsenal was patient with Arteta for close to two seasons before that started enjoying the current season.
1832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is OK to sell but is better to wait on: March 19, 2023, 04:58:48 PM
The most basic rule for making a profit - after buying and transferring to your wallet, look at the charts less often. If you often look at the charts, it always leads to wrong actions.
It is hard to stop looking at your wallet often as a new new investor but I think the best advice is to look at it periodically. Sometimes people are not patient enough to wait until they make some reasonable amount of profit. Having a good investment plan could help new investors stay focused and not distracted by predictions from all corners. Not investing more than you are able to loss is another helpful tip for new investors because it will reduce anxiety and fear.

My advice now is to keep holding out for better days. When the market is in an uptrend, don't get too excited about small price increases. Wait for the mega bull run, and you'll be so excited you didn’t touch any of those coins during this period of temptation.
People can sell their coins because of pressing needs or uncertainties such as health issues or other problems. These circumstances might make an investor not to wait for the bull run. It is also possible that it is the profit margin the investor has set for his investment. If he gets to his profit margin, the next action is to sell his coins. But if his motivation to sell is influenced by the fear of the unknown, he should be patient because the big bull run is coming.
1833  Economy / Economics / Re: Scarcity of money on: March 19, 2023, 04:35:30 PM
Why is there so much scarcity of money in different nations of the world, is there any crisis affecting UN's economy? People hardly meet up this days, the government has failed us, the banks are not working, companies and industries has reduced quality of products.
I know there is scarcity of fiat in Nigeria because the government is redesigning the country's currency to improve it's security, reduce counterfeiting and ransome payments to kidnapers. I have not heard about the same problem in any other country.

Regarding poor quality of goods in most countries, this is the result of poor regulation and control. Most countries don't have effective mechanism to control the importation and local production of goods. Most countries have become a dumping ground for most developed nations. They dump outdated and sometime environmentally unfriendly good without considering it's negative impact. Locally produced good are not evaluated to check it they meet global standards.

Quote
Is affecting so many countries in Africa, America and Europe, the rate of unemployment, insecurities and corruption is becoming alarming by day.

I hope we are save! The common masses are going through a lot in the street, is this kind of inflation era.
Why is money not in circulation please?

The rich are getting richer because of the growth of inequality. The global economic crisis caused by COVID-19 and the Russian invasion of Russia is not also helping matters. Many firms have closed dou to high cost of raw materials and inflation. This has led to high rate if unemployment, poverty and crime.
1834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of decentralization and BTC digital economy on: March 19, 2023, 12:12:28 PM
Just found out an interesting  Bitcoin documentary film on YouTube. CZ Binance, Justin Sun Tron, Charles Hoskinson Cardano and many other top crypto projects founders & influencers discuss how blockchain changes the world. Do you think it is worth to be watching? Or we don’t have to trust centralized ecosystem founders to discuss Bitcoin? Here is the link: https://youtu.be/jP5W8PmyC1c
It can be assumed that the centralized sector of cryptocurrency satisfies some segment of the customers in the industry but it is vital to state that this is not the main thrust of Bitcoin. These exchanges are not part of the plan of Bitcoin creation. These set of entrepreneurs are a businessmen that wants to promote their businesses so that they can get more money and fame. These shitcoin promoters know they can't compete with Bitcoin because the coin creator is selfless while they are just pursuing their selfish interest.

Always the same old stories, but we should not forget that the audience is changing and that it sounds very interesting and new to some, because they are beginners who need advice, guidance and vision. According to CZ, the average investor is not intelligent enough to be his own bank anyway, and instead of teaching them about it, he advocates a custodial service because it suits him personally.
I think it is easy to learn and set up a decentralized wallet than registering and operating a centralized account in any of these exchanges. I hope that these exchanges in the process of teaching these newbies also tell them that their privacy is compromised and they don't also own their coins.
1835  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: March 18, 2023, 03:23:02 PM
We are just being optimistic about it's growth but it will definitely go up in the long run phase because of mass adoption and less supply. At this time we are seeing progress in btc so in the long run also it will continue to rise but we will see lot of fluctuations also.I am hoping that soon $30k price range will be crossed so let's hope for the best and see what happens next.

I never read any predictions that Bitcoin will rise to its current price. All the forecasts I saw showed that the price will depreciate or remain stable at maybe $20,000 till next year. The currentt mini-bull run has shown that Bitcoin price movement cannot be predicted. Bitcoin adoption is getting stronger every day because awareness is growing. Bitcoin critics mocked the sector because of the fall of some crypto ventures last year. This year the same critics are seeing banks fail thereby making people seek other alternatives. More banks will still fail this year and it might keep affecting the price of bitcoin positively.
1836  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Effective Approaches to Trading Cryptocurrencies for Profit on: March 18, 2023, 02:34:28 PM

Avoid giving trading suggestions when you did not have enough activities on your profile. Some of the newbies will get inspired by your post but little do they know that you don't write or share the strategy from your experience, you just use chatGPT for that post.
Some of the advice OP gave is not bad at all because they are very important in cryptocurrency trading. But the writer claimed that all these tips are from his personal experience which turned out to be false. Using chatGPT in this forum is frowned at because this forum promotes creativity and lawfulness. It is not bad to use what you got from another author and share it with the forum. But you shouldn't claim ownership of the writeup by using bots to manipulate the content. You can do better than this, just put in more effort.
1837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is your year with bitcoin so far? on: March 18, 2023, 11:02:13 AM
Is rare this day seeing people sharing wonderful happenings in their trades or investment. The downtime is quite disheartened that people barely discuss much of crypto currency. Is your year with bitcoin completely empty or you were able to do America wonders?
As for me nothing is left on my wallets, price going down day was not a healthy type for me. Right from last year I decided that the more the deep the more I increase my investment but to some extent it was choking I could afford to keep reducing on investment pending when the price goes up again, so the year has not be really fulfilling but all hope are not lost.

What about you! How do you succeed your year with bitcoin? Is it good to you or worst kind of time?

I don't intend becoming a bitcoin trader. I mainly see bitcoin as a potentially profitable investment sector. I have plans to keep buying and hodling my coin until I reach my long-term investment goal. My intention is to keep saving my side job income in bitcoin and use my full time job to settle my basic needs. Hopefully, if the price of bitcoin appreciates, I intend to use part of the funds to diversify my income base.

For now I am sticking to my monthly investment plans, maybe in six months I will be able to answer OP's question comfortably. But I know that with the current mini-bull run, some traders that bought bitcoin when it was less than $16,000 might have made some profit.
1838  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 18, 2023, 10:33:50 AM
After fulfilling your goals and your life becomes boring that's on you, there are 100s of places around the world I want to visit before I leave this world behind, there are many sightseeing I want to see, nothing beats having the time to go on adventures and travel around the world, instead of making it all and sitting your ass down in your home, that's a boring life, with money you live shouldn't be boring, there are too many things you can do to make your day a good one.

If traveling and sightseeing make life to become meaningful, many billionaires or wealthy people wouldn't have committed suicide. Everybody is unique and has personal goals and aspirations. Some people just want to sit around at home around loved ones that's what they desire. Others want to party and hang out with friends in different clubs in town. While some people want to live a quiet life in rural areas.

The uncontrollable pursuit of financial freedom is not good because it can be disappointing and frustrating if it is not achieved. For me, financial freedom is your ability to provide all your needs without streets. I am not pursuing luxury or wealth, my main aim is to be able to earn enough to provide for the needs of my immediate and to a large extent my extended family. This is because the reason for the increase in crime and other immoral activities is the misconception that financial freedom is the ability to live in splendor.
1839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the first success story on: March 18, 2023, 10:00:39 AM
When the price of Bitcoin drops a lot. Then I buy bitcoins with some of my savings. And tell my friends to buy some bitcoins too.  A few of my friends bought some bitcoins with me.
Alright just make it simple, just post your Bitcoin address and sign a message to prove your ownership, otherwise you're lying and not telling the truth. The recent dump was at March 10, 2023 and November 10, 2022 - Early January, 2023, so must be bought Bitcoin at those date where Bitcoin was declining.

There's no any rumor or news about the upcoming Bitcoin adoption, I think everyone also surprised to see Bitcoin price suddenly increase since it's unpredictable.

I know right, there's no guarantee that the bitcoin will increase and will come back in the market since its volatile. If the OP really bought a lot with the dump mentioned then congratulations but it sounds to be true. However, if you only lie just to open a thread then it's not a good idea. Statistics doesn't like but if the OP have proof then good for you. Buying bitcoin in bullish market is a dumb idea so if you bought a lot in the past months before bullish we'd would like to see it.
OP just informed us that he has made some profit from the coins he purchased when the price was low and he is celebrating his success story. Yes, there was no news about the current mini-bull run but there are countless materials that predict the rise in the price of Bitcoin. Although many of these predictions are not precise but they always remind us to be patient and brave because hodling will always bring good news.

The current fall of some regional banks in the US and Switzerland ( Silicon Valley Bank and  Credit Suisse) might be the direct or indirect reason for the rise in the price of bitcoin. Maybe people are beginning to understand that banks cannot be trusted. The legendary American actress Sharon Stone recently revealed that she has lost half of her fortune in Silicon Valley Bank. That's why some people might be buying Bitcoin so that they can own and control their money.
1840  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: March 17, 2023, 09:34:03 PM
From the look of things bitcoin price will not come up soon, I guess is better to hold on till when it will show strong signal before putting in money again to escape losses and people who their investment is long over due are already victims of the Price dropping. We should try to be careful this period that bitcoin has not direction. Imagine a friend investment $2000 but what is currently left in his wallet is $400, and the deep is still bearing down the nuds.

Hold on, but if you must buy now be wise to use spare income.
There is no convenient time to buy or stop buying Bitcoin especially if you have a plan to buy and hold consistently for some years. The price of Bitcoin is not predictable which means there is no convenient time to buy. Most people that have been waiting for Bitcoin to fall to the price they want to buy may end up not buying because the price might not fall to the level they expected. The best time to buy Bitcoin is when you have the funds to buy because if you keep observing the market you might end up not buying. Bitcoin is such a dynamic currency that what affected it's price negatively this year, could lead to an increase in it's worth the next year. I think Bitcoin is gradually maturing to take it's place as one of the influential currencies of the world.
