How about some speculation on how the bitcoin halving will effect waves and other altcoin?
Well as most of the altcoins are dependent on the BTC price this is all relevant if halving will bring BTC up there is nothing to worry about  . |

Thats too much, roughly 7-10K is my estimate. Yeah I'm thinking about this amount too. Around 7000BTC ,that would be good. My guess is around 8-9k when this ends. |

Yes, I agree. In fact, I'd be surprised if it doesn't surpass that number. But, it is my high/low range. I did forget to factor in Lisk speculators. If they get to dump their money for profit, and there are a lot of speculators interested in this coin, then we could see a huge surge of investments when Lisk goes live and is released to an active exchange.
I hope this will not hurt Lisk price too much  I'd say both Lisk and waves are rising stars in Crypto. They're both great projects which both have the potential to grow big. I don't think these ico's will affect eachother much.  Agreed LISK and WAVES are two totally different project - in regards of their goals so they can coexist quite nicely. |

I think there is no worry that WAVES wouldn't be listed on Poloniex - it's just a matter of time if they will jump in immediately after WAVES launch or later on.

I have a question concerning the first day bonus. Am I correct that if I divide 85.000.000 by the current total received bitcoins ( which would be 4841.00082062) I get the amount of Waves for one btc at least for now?
So if the bonus is added on the fly and calculated as if I bought 1,2 BTC (instead of 1 BTC) worth of Waves, how come that I doesn't add up with my current Waves/BTC balance which is updated??
Am I making sense?
It's useless to calculate now if ICO would be only 1 day with 20% bonus no one would get a bonus of waves as it's still 85m divided by those who invested. |

But I agree that ICO is somehow to long - better close early. Wait 2-3 weeks before you put it on the market to produce hype ( in those 2-3 weeks you announce some mega new feature or a partner) and price rises for sure.

OK for all those that don't quite get bonus I'm going to simplify it :
You invest 1 BTC on first day with 20% bonus and let's for the purpose of this calculation say 1 BTC = 10000 WAVES
First day 20% bonus you would get 1.2BTC equivalent of WAVES = 12000 WAVES
Second day and till the end of 10% bonus you would get with 1.1BTC equivalent of WAVES = 11000 WAVES
No bonus with 1 BTC would be same so 1 BTC = 10000 WAVES
So those investing the same 1 BTC later when there is no bonus will get less waves than those that invested yesterday for 20% or 10% that starts today.
Nope... There's 85M Waves for the ICO. So the first 24 hours everyone gets the 20% bonus, right? Let's say 4000 BTC got brought in, that's 21,500 Waves per BTC. But there can't be a 20% bonus yet, because you would need 102M Waves to do that, but there's only 85M available. Imagine someone putting 50,000 BTC in at the 10% phase? ... Only in the end of the ICO you can calculate / know your real bonus. Yeah you are correct I just simplified it ICO won't end today else your calculation would stand - you will still get 20% more waves at the end of the ICO than those that will invest last day, but we won't know exact numbers till this closes. |

Yes bonus is being added on the fly. Can you explain how this is calculated? I mightbe wrong, but isn't the 85 milion waves just being equally devided between the people who participate? How can investors in the first 24 hours get a 20% bigger share? There aren't more waves available in the first 24 hours right? If 85 milion is 100% and there aren't more waves one can never get 120% or 102 milion waves. Do investors after the 24 hour mark get a less than equal share per invested btc than the people who did invest in the first 24 hours? I'm really, really curious about your calculation. If you invested let's say 1 BTC you would get 1.2 BTC equivalent of waves |
