1821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was your last purchase with bitcoin? on: July 19, 2015, 12:25:05 AM
My last purchase is windows 8 key  Wink
Bought it from this forum

that should be mentioned more, ive probably spent more btc on purchases related to this forum than at any other retailer that accepts BTC.
1822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "no transmission fee" seems to be a lie. wtf? on: July 18, 2015, 11:20:40 PM
If you dont want to pay a tx fee, that shouldn't be a problem it just takes more time to confirm. It's an incentive for miners to mine your transaction if you add tx fee.

but weather or not the tx will be confirmed also depends on other factors as well, such as number of inputs/outputs, amount transacted, etc.

Yup correct, but I wouldn't recommend it especially with the ongoing stress tests Smiley

i think the stress tests might be over, i havent had any delays in my transactions getting confirmed in the past few days. however, it does seem that people are either testing or simply spamming the network quite often lately, and it can lead to transactions being dropped by the network if they have no fee iirc.

1824  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: July 18, 2015, 11:12:42 PM
nice one Cheesy.
tried it and i like it Smiley but still there should be alot more games just like a casino Cheesy
regards.
-Katerniko1

you realize the site's name is satoshiDICE right? as in dice game. theres not realy a reason for them to expand unless they want to, but i thin your post there is just sig spam anyways, doesnt really matter. there are plenty of bitcoin gambling establishments (PD) that are doing quite well with only a dice game.

1826  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dyborg - FREE Primedice Bot/AutoBetter by DaNksta on: July 18, 2015, 10:55:31 PM
May be it is because I am more into strategy based gambling than playing against random numbers. But, for the little I have tried, I have lost many times at x1.1, but never won x2+ and won x2 almost 50% time.

there is no strategy that will benefit you in the long term in dice. however, in skill based games like poker, strategy can definitely come into play over the long run. however, in dice where the only "strategies" are martingale, variants, etc, everything will be -ev either way.

1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dyborg - FREE Primedice Bot/AutoBetter by DaNksta on: July 18, 2015, 10:22:01 PM
i was up to 12 btc with dyborg today and lost all with manual gambling ;(
ouch sorry to hear that.
if you good with bot dont play with manual  Cool
goodluck to you

either autobetting using a bot or manual, there's always the possibility of going bust on a bad streak. just know when to stop and cash out, and dont let your greed control your gambling.

yeah sometimes you get a redstreak with x1.1 betting lol

Unfortunately, it is pure luck and no strategy for this type of gambling sites. I have seen many losing streak with x1.1. But, has anyone experienced greestreak with x2+ for 3-4 consecutive roll ?

definitely, its just that people dont notice winning as much as they notice going bust off of a few red streaks. streaks of either wins or losses in the 3-4 range are rather common if anything.

1830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "no transmission fee" seems to be a lie. wtf? on: July 18, 2015, 08:14:09 PM
why dont you stop for a second there, and compare that "high transaction fee" to fees of credit cards? last i remember, visa charges a flat 10 cents an 3% of the transaction amount as a fee to every transaction. if you feel "ripped off" that you suddenly faced a nigligible 3 cent fee, take that up with the documentary publishers. if the creators of that documentary had any idea what they wree talking about they should have mentioned the miner's fee was a standard 0.0001 BTC.

1832  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FUCK YOU! Primedice.com | Most Popular Bitcoin Scammers & Trusted by Who? on: July 18, 2015, 08:06:31 PM
Randomness guarantees that even 1 million losses consecutively is possible. Smiley

any number of losses in a row is possible, and possibility is the word people dont seem to understand when gambling. they just pass it off as impossible and then start crying about losing 0.001 BTC on the forums, like this thread here.
1833  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If a Bitcoin wallet no longer works will i lose my bitcoins ? on: July 18, 2015, 07:55:02 PM
Noob here.  Huh  If I have bitcoins in a specific bitcoin client wallet (e.g. Amor, or Multibit HD, etc) and for some reason that wallet and its associated software client on my phone or pc no longer works (perhaps no longer supported by the operating system-- I have seen that happen with games, e.g. Diablo I, Diablo II games would not run on Windows 7), how would I get my bitcoin money? I don't understand if a bitcoin wallet from one specific software client is portable for importing into a different software client.  Of course one should backup one's wallet, but that won't do any good if the software client that creates the backup does so in its proprietary data file format.  Cold storage is one option I suppose, would that work, but still what if one did not want cold storage and its theft risks? Confused, and this seems important to me at least, so i know I would not lose my $ because of software no longer working.

Install an older version. Otherwise, keep a plain text format of your private key (Starting with 5) and you should be safe as long as Bitcoin doesn't change the algorithm. The only thing not widely used is the format of deterministic wallet. Not every wallet follows BIP32 when generating a long keyphrase for the recovery process.

never store backups of your private keys in plain text, you never know if your machine might be breached. im pretty confident in keeping my deveces malware-free, but i like to encrypt my private key backups using a pgp key used only for my private keys. the private key for the pgp key is kept on an offline device.
1834  Economy / Gambling / Re: Big tip for todays football/soccer match on: July 18, 2015, 07:43:50 PM
Hmmm nice start to your pick thread mate the second pick came thru magnificently but maintiaing this for the future will be hard but them you might even be able to charge for picks if you get good enough lol
op would need to show an impressive history over several months time at least before doing so though, but that's if he chooses to make a premium service for sports picks.
1835  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OMG!!! i won 543 BTC - AT Primedice.com ohhhh sh*********t Wooooooowww!! on: July 18, 2015, 07:36:22 PM
He didn't win anything. He lost around 0.001 BTC from faucets with a 6 loss streak ( Grin Grin Grin ) martingale and now he is crying that Primedice is fake.

primedice's chat is honestly funny, people treat bitcoin as if a satoshi is worth an ounce of gold for some reason Grin
people crying about losing 0.01 BTC while theyre gambling or using martingale even.

I wonder if Stunna actually checks topics in this forum.. Haven't seen him reply here.

i dont think stunna would reply considering this is a troll thread. if it was a legitimate thread he might consider.
1836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do Newbies (or Anyone) Enjoy Paid Bitcoin Tasks? on: July 18, 2015, 07:30:56 PM
I doubt anyone enjoys doing tasks but if the pay is reasonable (and more than the typical 0.001$ per click rates etc...) then allot of people would give it a try.

problem with that is, the person putting up the task in question has to be willing to offer those high rates for the task to be done. if the site was responsible for putting up these tasks, the payment for the task cannot exceed the revenue the site gets for this talk being completed.
1837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best way for earning bitcoins on: July 18, 2015, 07:27:46 PM
If you have useful skills, why not start a bitcoin-related business to earn bitcoins?

it might be that some people, despite having a skill to offer, dont have the time to dedicate to providing these services as well.
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are? When will you stop and withdrawn? on: July 18, 2015, 09:32:26 AM
If I deposit 0.01 and win 0.1 I would probably stop at 0.1  Grin

people should be satisfied to walk out with 10 times of what they walked in with, unfortunately people are greedy and always go for everything  without an idea of when to stop, and end up going broke as a result.
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 18, 2015, 08:29:01 AM
if this was actually working everyone would be rich at this point, it's always like that, it's based on luck

if you really want to go with altcoin, you can try instamining with one gpu or try the route of pos coins, which are real free money

not completely free; theres still the electricity cost of mining those pos coins and the value of time invested into mining. but still i agree, thats likely a better way compared to this "tutorial," should those pos coins you mine rise in value you should more more if you started mining in the first moments of the coin's release.

actually minting work even if you don't run your client all day, but just synch it one time at day like with your normal bitcoin client

i DL'ed many pos coins in the past and it always worked in this way, so you are wasting the normal electricity of your computer, which would be wasted anyway for other activity tht you do

i dont exactly have a rig setup to do that, but i trust your words enough to think that it might be worth a shot, maybe sometime in the future.
1840  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Gen Social Gambling Dice Experience | Progressive Jackpot on: July 18, 2015, 08:18:40 AM
Jackpot due to go!!

What is this nonsense?

You think it's "due"? Did the players make good progress towards it or something?

It's kind of understandable when gamblers think they are "due" for a win because they have lost a lot of times, but you don't often see people who own sites falling victim of such fallacies. Smiley

We just felt it is time to go, since previous '99.99 jackpots' were won within 1 to 3 days Cheesy
especially if a lot of your players might just be betting 1 satoshi on autobet trying to hit the jackpot, not actually trying to gamble.

Wouldn't have people jumped on this site and just auto bet forever at 1 satoshi to win?  I am very confused here.   Embarrassed

Many do actually. I am still curious why the 99.99 jackpot usually goes quicker, than the 0.00 jackpot.

I experienced it, I could roll 99.99 many times but I could not roll 0.00 as many as I rolled 99.99 . In fact both number has the same chance, but seems than to roll 0.00 is a little bit harder than 99.99

That's true, even when playing on other sites. I often see roll 99.99 than 0.00
Maybe it's just coincidence

when it comes to something like gambling, you should never pass it off as mere coincidence, question everything. who knows, there might be some unknown flaw in the provably fair system that makes this "coincidence" happen.
